TLC has been a true blessing for us. Being a “first time mom” and my husband and I being blessed with Justin in our “seasoned” (older) years, searching for the right daycare, was extremely crucial to us. Not only to be able to work and not worry about him but to be in such a Christian atmosphere was very big part of what we were searching for. All of the staff are very friendly, caring, compassionate and concerned for the well being of the kids there. The most amazing thing was to see the pastor/founder to be so involved and loving the kids. I love TLC and I am so grateful to God that HE lead me to the right place for our son. I have seen so much growth in the short length of time that he has been attending. Thanks to everyone at TLC for your service and the peace that my husband and I feel at work while leaving him in your care and not have to worry. God bless you ALL.

modesty at work — Work.ua

There is a fine line between modesty that is good and modesty that is harmful. In what situations excessive modesty harms – Work.ua figured it out.

There is a big difference between being arrogant towards others and knowing your own worth without being afraid to voice it to those around you. Why don’t you need to be modest at work, like a young lady on her first outing? Work.ua gives 7 arguments.

1. Define your personal limits of modesty

Agree that each person has his own understanding of modesty, which is largely due to the level of education. For one person, to be modest is to be silent like a rag, receiving an unfair scolding, and for another, to break only an arm, not two legs, to an opponent in a dispute. You need to define your personal boundaries of what is acceptable, because, in fact, modesty is a virtue, but only in the modern labor market such timidity and shyness have no place.

2. Modesty does not make you feel the taste of success

Each victory is a joy, a feeling of happiness. When you are praised for a job well done, you feel a surge of energy, release of hormones of joy and the ability to move further innocent mountains. And really, having completed the five-year plan in five minutes, will you deprive yourself of the pleasure of accepting congratulations and bathing in the rays of glory? Do not let false modesty spoil the moment of victory, because these are the events that you will remember in old age.

3. No one will know what you’re worth

Indulging in our humility, we often sit back and just expect our actions to speak for us. We assume that if we stay focused and work hard, we no longer need to fuss about anything – our efforts will definitely be seen and appreciated. But if you’re too humble, your bosses may never know how much good you bring to the organization.

4. You won’t even know what you’re worth

Don’t let modesty plunge you into contentment with your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to truly express the skills and qualities that make you unique.

5. People use humble people

If you are found to be a slapper, be prepared to be slapped and used more and more. Accumulated grievances will develop into depression, nervous stress and chronic constipation. Do you need it?

6. You are not recognized as a leader

Every leader has had to make tough and unpopular decisions, taking full responsibility for the consequences of these decisions. With excessive modesty to decide the fate of people may not work out.

7. Modesty affects the very ability to earn money

Negotiation is a set of skills where there is no room for humility. It can be both a business meeting and a banal interview. If you take everything for granted, then it is very unlikely that you will get what you deserve.

Work.ua in no way underestimates the importance of modesty, depending on the context it can also be a very powerful tool. Think of it like the Chinese yin-yang philosophy: add modesty to your arrogance, and dilute modesty with arrogance.
