Firstly, it is a collection of undersized perennials, the so-called alpine plants, and secondly, stones. The location of the stones should be considered very carefully.

Larger and taller ones are located in the background, and smaller stones diverge from them, for example, in the form of a fan or any other figure, half sunk into the soil. They can be replaced with crushed cobblestone or limestone tiles.

It is important that the rock garden is built from the same type of stone or from stones of similar colors. To avoid motley chaos is absolutely useless. Stones should create a backdrop, and flowers should play with colors.

We remember that the stability of each stone is the key to a strong and durable structure. If maximum stability cannot be achieved, you can use small stones, placing them under the main elements, or raise the height of the site using soil or gravel. In order not to worry about whether the rock garden will be stable, you can dig the bottom row of boulders into the ground. This also contributes to the fact that the slide will look more natural and natural.

Further, in the center of the hill, it is worth pouring out the soil that was prepared in advance, and in parallel laying out medium-sized stones, creating the 2nd tier.

At the end, small stones are laid out in the upper part of the rock garden, as well as where voids have formed that need to be filled. When choosing the sizes and shapes of stones, you can fantasize, combine large and small cobblestones at the top and bottom. But this should be reflected in the scheme, which is followed already at the construction stage. Do not forget that on the hill it is necessary to leave a place for the subsequent planting of plants.
