Guided by the tasks of informing the general public and federal government bodies in ensuring that the regions of Russia fully fulfill their social obligations to the population, reduce poverty and inequality, increase the welfare and quality of life of citizens on the basis of the basic, integral guidelines for the development of the country until 2030, designated by the President Russian Federation V. V. Vladislav Krapivin’s trilogy “The Boy with the Sword” was published in 1972-1974 and was included in a larger cycle of the writer’s works called “Espada’s Sails”. This trilogy most fully reflects Krapivin’s ideas about the world and the position of the child in it. The image of a boy with a sword is an image of a person who has clear ideas about nobility and honor and tries to live in accordance with them. nine0003

But there is no moralizing in The Boy with a Sword – only very lively, believable characters. The main one, a boy named Seryozha Kakhovsky, turned out to be so realistic that the children wrote letters to Krapivin asking him to share his address with them. They considered Seryozha real and wanted to enter into correspondence with him.

“Soyuzmultfilm” has announced domestic cartoons that will become the Russian “answer” to “Harry Potter” and “Lord of the Rings”, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“We have several animated feature films in development that will create new characters based on books already written and read by children. This is our answer to Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Marvel and Supermen,” said Yuliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the studio. nine0003

This is how she commented on the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the popularization of Russian folklore heroes. Slashcheva clarified that this is a full-length animated film about a “real hero”, whose identity she refused to disclose. Also in development are cartoons based on a series of books by Yulia Ivanova “Secrets of the Enchantress” about a teenage girl who survives in a magical world.

The word “superhero” is associated with American comic book culture. However, in ancient Russian epics and Russian graphic novels there are also interesting characters with supernatural powers. What do they have in common with their Western “colleagues” and is there a chance to assemble an international team to save the world – in the material of RIA Novosti.

Older than Marvel

In fact, comics are not a phenomenon alien to Russian culture. The prototype of graphic stories arose back in pre-Petrine times in the 13th century on icons – but not on all, but on “hagiographic” ones. In the center is a portrait of the saint, and in small images along the edges are episodes of his life. There were also words that explained what was happening.

Another progenitor of comics is the Russian lubok of the 17th-19th centuries: stories in pictures accompanied by text. Moreover, the artists used a “bubble” in which they entered the characters’ replicas. The themes were not only the lives of the saints, but also fairy tales, author’s works. nine0003

If in the first part of the well-known “The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” the traveler ended up on a desert island, in the second part fate threw him to Russia – in particular, he visited Tobolsk and Arkhangelsk, then in the third part he embarked on reflections about loneliness, honesty and condition religions in the world. nine0003

“… It will be more difficult to reform a nation than to corrupt it, although virtue must become a custom and become fashionable, because human inclinations are changeable. But in such a reform it would be a great step if we could all unite to prevent immorality by his own example,” the writer argues. Yes, this is not a search for food and friendship with a savage on a desert island! If the first book has been published in huge editions for three hundred years, the second was translated into Russian only in the 19th century, then the continuation with moralizing essays has not been lucky so far. nine0003

In the first part of the novel, Robinson ended up on an island, in the second part fate threw him to Russia, and in the third part he started thinking about honesty.

Korney Chukovsky’s virtual museum appeared on the Web. On Monday, December 26, the publication “Arguments and Facts – St. Petersburg” reports.

March 2022 marks the 140th anniversary of the writer’s birth. Despite the fact that Chukovsky was born in the northern capital and lived for many years in the village of Repino near St. Petersburg, there is no museum of the writer in the city. The Arguments and Facts – St. Petersburg publication, with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, decided to correct this omission. nine0003

Now everyone can visit Chukovsky’s dacha in Repino without leaving their apartment. The interactive museum is available here. Walking through the rooms, you can get acquainted not only with the life of the writer, but also with his friends, hobbies and works.

The Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language named “heritage” as the word of the year, the university’s press service reported. The institute noted that they deliberately excluded words related to political and military topics from the sample, “in order to find a word with a positive sound and public support.” nine0003

“We live in a very turbulent time, and right now it seems important to rethink the historical past, with all the mistakes and achievements, in order to understand the path we should follow. It is no coincidence that the outgoing year was declared the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia,” the Pushkin Institute said.

Yandex Wordstat, Medialogy analytics system and Integrum database were used as sources of statistical information. According to Medialogy, in 2022, 1,071,509messages containing the word “legacy”.
