We have had a really good experience with Childtime. Birmingham, Michigan

Birmingham is a city in Oakland County in the US state of Michigan. This northern suburb of Detroit is located along the Woodward Corridor (M-1). As of the 2010 Census, the population was 20,103. [8]

    • History

    The area that is now the city of Birmingham was part of the land ceded by Native American tribes to the United States government by the 1807 Treaty of Detroit. [9] However, the settlement was delayed, primarily due to the War of 1812. Then the Inspector General of the United States, Edward Tiffin, made an unfavorable report on the allocation of military lands of bounty to veterans of the War of 1812.     The earliest entry into the land was made on January 28, 1819 by Colonel Benjamin Kendrick Pierce (brother of the future US President Franklin Pierce) for the northwest quarter of section 36.
