Caring for seniors and caregivers
For more than 30 years, Providence has filled a special need in our community, providing adult day care for seniors whose lives have been challenged by disease, Alzheimer’s, dementia, injuries or the frailties associated with aging. In June 2020, we launched another service for medically-complex seniors.
Providence ElderPlace PACE
(Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Those enrolled with ElderPlace receive complete medical care, medications, medical supplies, adult day care, in-home care, care coordination, transportation and more. All the care and services covered by Medicare and Medicaid are included, when authorized by your health care team. Most ElderPlace enrollees are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid benefits, but this is not a requirement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Serving the community since 1976
Aging, accidents, or illness can often rob individuals of their skills and abilities. At Providence ElderPlace (formerly Adult Day Health) in Spokane, Washington, we provide a secure, caring environment for elderly and impaired adults to receive rehabilitation services, nursing care, health monitoring as well as giving them a chance to socialize.
By stimulating minds, strengthening bodies, nurturing spirits and respecting dignity, we help participants to achieve to their maximum abilities.
A sense of independence
Providence helps impaired or senior citizens remain active in their community, improve mobility and enhance safety in the home. Though ongoing health assessments, prevention and early intervention we help promote independence and can help delay or prevent the need for a higher level of care.
Respite for caregivers
That independence means that caregivers have time to care for their own physical, emotional and spiritual health, or can feel comfortable going to work, knowing their loved one is in good hands with us at Providence ElderPlace.

The benefits of studying in the USA
It is impossible not to see the objective benefits of studying in the USA! The most notable is the rankings of American universities. US Universities are in the lead in ALL (without exception) world rankings! Second, and for many, the most important is the huge employment opportunities in the US for graduates of American universities (after completing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree). The third (directly related to the second point) is the direct and close ties of most US universities and colleges with employers: this opens up opportunities for free and paid internships during study and employment after graduation! The next item on the list of advantages of studying in the USA, we hope, will not be a simple banality for you! America is a country with a multinational culture, being in this world “melting pot” enriches both culturally and … morally. If we are destined to live in the era of “global peace”, we will enjoy all its benefits and enjoy it!
Another feature of the US education system is its flexibility, especially the flexibility of higher education, which allows any student to choose a program of study that matches his (candidate’s) level, including organizing transfer with credits passed.
Almost all American universities and colleges have modern campuses. Their infrastructure makes not only studying, but also leisure full-fledged: numerous sports, cultural clubs, interest centers, volunteer and other organizations make student life exciting and unforgettable!
US education system
Secondary education in the US starts at age 5. In fact, this is still a kindergarten. But the second year of study is already the first year of Primary School. Education in the Primary School in the USA lasts 5 years. Then there is training at the Middle School / Middle School (grades 6 – 8), then – training at the High School / High School (grades 9-12). Children usually complete secondary education at the age of 18. Education in it ends with a Diploma of Secondary Education. The diploma is the basis for continuing education already at a college or university in the United States.
US colleges (community colleges) provide a 2-year education, after which a “two-year degree” is issued – an associate’s degree. After receiving this degree, young people can either go to work, or can continue their studies further at an American university (plus 2 more years to a Bachelor’s degree).
Please note that after school it is not necessary to go to college first, you can immediately go to an American university and, after studying there for 4 years, get a bachelor’s degree.
After receiving a Bachelor’s degree, if desired, you can continue your education in the United States and further: a master’s degree (1.5-2 years) or further – study to a Ph.D. degree (3 years or more).
According to statistics in 2009, 4.5 thousand universities were registered in the USA!!! They have 17.5 million students, more than half a million of whom are foreigners. As you can see, a huge number of people around the world choose US universities as a place of further education. Make the right choice for you too! And we will help your dream come true!
Language courses in the USA
The presence of a large number of language centers allows you to choose a training program in almost any more or less large US city. We work with a significant number of language schools for adults and children on both coasts and in the mainland. English language courses in the USA with a low intensity of classes allow you to “submit” students to the embassy for a tourist visa, a large intensity (more than 20 lessons per week) requires a student visa.
We will guide you through the various options for studying in the US and applying for a visa. We offer a variety of language course options:
- Language schools for children and teenagers in the USA (summer options)
- Year-round language programs for children
- Language courses for adults
Obtaining a US visa
An educational agency does more than just provide you with information about US programs and institutions. We do the main thing – we help with enrollment, booking accommodation, and after that comes what everyone who served in the army calls the “demobilization chord” … We, as your agents, will have to get you an American visa. You (together with our specialists) in accordance with the chosen program of study and your family and financial circumstances, prepare the documents for submission to the US Embassy. We will fill in visa application forms, suggest how to increase the chances of passing an interview with a visa officer. Students International has a lot of experience working with the US Embassy, and although we (or no one else!) can guarantee you a visa, we know exactly HOW to do so in order to maximize your chances of obtaining a US visa! We have already helped more than one hundred students to get an education in the USA, we will help you too!!!

Nice, cozy, beautiful
Near the waterfalls it is pleasant to contemplate, read, think about one’s own. The flow of water is most powerful, of course, in the spring.

A cozy and beautiful city
I really liked downtown Spokane. Clean, comfortable, calm and quiet. Beautiful courthouse, cathedral, library. Wonderful park. Unfortunately, we did not get on the cable car, it was morning, it worked from 10:00. A very beautiful river in the city center – stormy, rapids, with sharp turns.
