We all know that Palmetto Bay is the best place to live, work and play. Our Education Advisory Committee wanted to highlight that the Village is also the best place to learn! Our Village has some of the most amazing and top-rated public schools in Miami-Dade County. With that in mind, the Board wanted to design an education brochure that would showcase just how great the schools are in the Village.

Greg Zawyer Principal of the Year Award
The Greg Zawyer Principal of the Year Award is bestowed annually upon a school Principal who has made a significant contribution to education.
The recipient must be a school Principal of a private or a public school that is located within the boundaries of the Village of Palmetto Bay. The individual must have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to education during their career. To be considered for the award, nominations must explain how the individual has made a significant impact to their school, our community and education.
Nominations are accepted from Village residents during the nomination period in September to be considered by the Education Advisory Committee, the committee in charge of selecting the winner. The awardee is presented with a plaque during the Annual Principals’ Breakfast, typically held in October, and recognized publicly during the November Regular Council meeting.
