The Fora model from the Chinese manufacturer Chery went on sale in Russia in 2006 and was well received by buyers, primarily for the high level of equipment with various options. This includes a leather interior, a standard audio system, full power accessories, and a climate control system. The car has front airbags, ABS + EBD system, safety steering column and high-strength shock-absorbing beams in all doors that protect passengers in a side impact. At the same time, the price of the car did not exceed the price of much more modestly equipped golf-class hatchbacks. Unfortunately, there was no automatic transmission among the options – the car was offered only with a five-speed “mechanics”.

The appearance of the car is quite European. Salon can be made in light colors. Ergonomics is well developed and suits drivers of any build. The interior is very spacious, and the trunk volume exceeds 480 liters.

Chery Fora vehicles are equipped with ACTECO engines, produced by Chery in cooperation with the world-famous engine designer, the Austrian company AVL. These motors have excellent characteristics that meet world standards. One of their features is aluminum cylinder blocks. The motors are controlled via the CAN bus. Engine options (both gasoline, naturally aspirated, in-line, four-cylinder) – 1.6-liter with a capacity of 119horsepower and a 2.0-liter with 129 horsepower. The first engine allows the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 14.0 s, the second in 11.0 s. The maximum speed of Chery Fora with each of the motors is 185 km / h. According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle (city plus highway) does not exceed 7 liters.

Part of the Chery Fora sold in Russia was assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. On the basis of Chery Fora, the Vortex Estina car was created, which was assembled at the Taganrog Automobile Plant (TagAZ).

The Chery Fora is a five-door, front-wheel drive D class sedan. Start of production – 2006, produced in Russia by a plant in Taganrog. Today you can buy Chery Fora only with hands; however, the Chinese brand Chery has new car models that have a lot of advantages. Despite the emergence of new options, Chery Fora remains a very popular car. What are the features of this car?

Exterior and Interior

The exterior has always been a secondary factor when choosing a car from a budget price category; the price of Chery Fora also does not promise anything supernatural in terms of appearance. However, the car does not upset: it looks serious, made in a classic style. Wheels may seem unattractive, but this shortcoming is easily corrected by installing alloy wheels. Window tinting also adds a couple of points to the car.

From the inside, the car looks very attractive – a light leather interior does not allow one to find fault with a single detail of the interior decoration. The choice of such material for Chery Fora A21 is due to its practicality: the skin is easy to clean, and it is more pleasant to the touch than many analogues.

As for convenience, there are no complaints here – you quickly get used to the chairs, they are easily adjustable. However, some may experience discomfort in the lumbar region during long trips. However, when driving for short distances, no landing flaws are noticeable. The rear passenger sofa is very roomy; 5 people can easily fit in the car, even of large dimensions. Separately, it is worth noting the capacity of the trunk: it is large in itself, and folding the rear seats allows you to further increase the volume.

In terms of control, the driver will not have any problems. All the controls on the panel are easy to use, you don’t have to reach for any control elements. The panel is very informative and reliably conveys all the necessary information to the driver. In general, the only drawbacks of the interior are the lack of seat heating and poor sound insulation, due to which the engine noise becomes too loud at high speeds – the low cost of Chery Fora affects.

Driving characteristics

This vehicle has three engine options:

1. 1.5L 109HP. With.;
2. 1.6 l – 119 l. With.;
3. 2.0 l – 129 l. With.

All engines are four valves and are mounted at the front of the machine. Drive Chery Fora front. The engines run on gasoline and comply with the Euro-4 environmental standard, which makes them somewhat less economical, but adds power. Two gearbox options are attached to the motors:

• five-speed manual;
• four-speed automatic.

It is worth noting that in both versions of the gearbox it does not cause any complaints – the gears change smoothly. In general, the characteristics of Chery Fora are average, but worthy for a city car.

Some control problems may occur. This is due to the soft suspension – it is very durable, it allows you to get into pits at a relatively high speed without harming the car, but at high speed the car begins to noticeably “drive”. Steering is assisted by power steering and the turning circle is 10.6 m.

The braking system in all versions of the car is equipped with modern anti-lock braking system and EBD. By the way, the brakes are the most vulnerable part of the car; during long-term operation, the brake pipe may burst. However, it is easy to fix. One of the advantages of Chery Fora is its low cost and high availability of spare parts.

Safety

Like any Chery product, this model has a high level of safety for both the driver and passengers. There are all necessary airbags.

The body of the car is made of aluminum, the total weight of the car is 1300 kg. It is worth watching any Chery Fora crash test to make sure that her body is very strong and can withstand quite strong blows.
