7th Grade Roots and Stems

Memorize by  May 2015.

STEMS are pieces of words of Latin and Greek roots, with meanings attached, that, when combined, give readers clues to unfamiliar vocabulary words and terms used in science, math and history.  Former students remark that learning stems enabled them to understand questions, verbiage, and analogies on the SAT.  Learning stems provides students with the foundation to explore the interior of our English vocabulary.

**Stem Quizzes will be assigned from this list below. DO NOT LOSE IT!**

You will be given a STEMS list from which to work.  These are STEMS from 5th, 6th, and 7th grade.  The following are examples of how STEMS are used and identified in core classes.

Irregular verbs are the least favorite topic for many people because this material needs to be learned by heart. However, memorization always occurs gradually, so there are usually no great difficulties in studying this topic. In this article, we will look at all the main English irregular verbs for grade 7 with translation.

Irregular verbs

Unlike regular verbs, irregular verbs do not follow the rules of past tense formation. If with a regular verb we use the rule for adding endings – d, -ed, -ied . (for example, I clos ed the door / I closed the door), then the wrong ones need to be memorized, and they have 3 forms, for example, be was / were been, which are used depending on the time we need.

Here is a list of basic irregular verbs for 7th grade students.
