Rebuilding

On August 4, 2020, an EF2 tornado touched down in Doylestown and caused significant damage to our hospital campus, including Children’s Village. Working quickly and courageously, teachers and aides, alongside physicians, staff, and emergency responders safely evacuated the building. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but Children’s Village was damaged beyond repair.

Our new, temporary location is a modern, well-appointed facility located on 4139 Ferry Road in Doylestown.

Rebuilding for Our Children

We are proud to announce plans to rebuild Children’s Village as a new priority of ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health. In addition to an insurance settlement, philanthropic support of this campaign priority will allow the program to return from its temporary location to Doylestown Hospital’s flagship campus in a new and upgraded facility in 2023, incorporating best practices in safety and early childhood learning. Help us bring Children’s Village home so that we can continue this extraordinary tradition of teaching and excellence in high-quality care and early childhood education.

About

Owned and operated by Doylestown Health, we are fully licensed and accredited by the prestigious National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We maintain a STAR-4 rating (the highest) in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS Quality Initiative. And we are licensed and accredited by both the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

We consider every child and family as one of our own and hope that as you learn more about Children’s Village, you will entrust your child to our care. We consider it a great privilege to spend our days with your children!

History

Children’s Village first opened its doors in 1985 and was established by the Village Improvement Association (VIA), a non-profit women’s organization that also established Doylestown Hospital in 1923.

Originally intended to provide a rewarding educational and nurturing and convenient experience for children of Doylestown Hospital employees, Children’s Village started as a “one-room schoolhouse” with a front door, three classrooms and two offices serving a total of 40 children.

High demand plus requests for enrollment from non-hospital employees allowed our facility to grow and accommodate a larger population. By 1993 we had grown to three buildings with 15 classrooms and had the ability to accommodate additional area children.

Today we serve more than 200 children from five counties.

We foster a comprehensive learning environment and accept children with disabilities as well as non-English speaking children. We also work closely with Child Care Information Services of Philadelphia (CCIS) to help families in need of financial assistance.

Philosophy

At Children’s Village, we believe that the best learning occurs when children are actively involved with people and materials in their environment. Children bring their own unique understanding of the world to an activity. They can be trusted to use their internal motivation to become immersed in new learning and gain additional cognition. Such learning best occurs in a loving, home-like atmosphere that provides a variety of many challenging, but non-stressful activities. The children then take away from the experience what they need to meet their individual needs.

Project Approach

There are many approaches to early childhood education. For nearly 30 years, we’ve explored many different strategies, investigating programs like Montessori, High Scope, and DAP.

Our philosophy, what we call the Project Approach, combines the best elements of many of the books, journals, workshops and methods we’ve studied. Special “Themes” last six to eight weeks and are followed by a “Project Panel” where teachers collect examples of art, drawings and other work to tell the story of the theme. We’ve discovered that this method, which emphasizes collaboration and cooperation between peers as well as between adults and children, helps us gain a better understanding of how children learn.

Learning Through Play

We recognize how critical the ages of birth through age six are to your child’s development. And we’ve observed that most of these skills at these young ages are developed through PLAY. For instance:

  • Large Motor Skills: Outdoor play and activities like climbing, bike riding, and dance
  • Small Motor Skills: Puzzles, beading, cutting, finger play, etc.
  • Self-Help Skills: Daily routines such as handwashing, dressing, and manners
  • Social Skills: Cooperation with adults and peers, learning how to control and express emotions
  • Cognitive Skills: Memory games, storytelling, language experiences, etc.

Services

  • Comprehensive preschool and pre-kindergarten programs

  • Flexible scheduling with extended hours, including early drop off and late pickup from 6:15 am to 6:30 pm.

  • Pink (Pink) – biography of the singer, photo, personal life, husband, daughter, height and weight, best clips, listen to songs online 2022

    Biography Pink

Pink (P!nk) is a famous American pop-rock singer, songwriter, dancer and actress, one of the most sought-after and best-selling singers in the world. Almost every album of hers becomes platinum, and the style of her music often dictates trends in the world stage.

Pop rock singer Pink (Alisha Moore)

The singer is remembered not only for her music, but also for her bright, daring image. Her shows are always accompanied by complex dance performances and acrobatic stunts, in which Pink herself takes part.

    Childhood and youth

Pink (real name: Alisha Beth Moore) was born on September 8, 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The singer’s mother is an emergency room nurse, and her father works in the insurance industry. Pink’s father is Catholic of Irish and German descent, while her mother is of Jewish descent with Lithuanian and German roots. When Pink was 10 years old, her parents divorced.

    Singer Pink as a child

Pink had a good and strong voice from an early age. In high school, the girl began to sing in the Middleground group, which quickly broke up after losing the competition for the title of the best team. As a teenager, Pink wrote poetry that her mother called “introspective, dark and very deep, almost nervous.”

    School photos Pink

The girl began to sing in clubs when she was about 14 years old. Around this time, she took on the official pseudonym Pink, as her friends had long called her. The singer explained that she received an unusual name in honor of the character Mr. Pink in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs (1992), played by Steve Buscemi. Later, the singer admitted that her youth was “very extreme”: the girl was fond of skateboarding, hip-hop, she was interested in rave culture – she was never afraid to take risks.

The first group Pink – Middleground (1994)

    Music career

At the age of 16, Pink and two of her friends formed the R&B group Choice. A copy of their first song “Key to My Heart” was sent to LaFace Records in Atlanta. After the producer personally flew to see the performance of the girls, a contract was signed with the group. The young singers moved to Atlanta and soon recorded an album, which, however, was never released. But their main song “Key to My Heart” became the soundtrack of the movie 19’96 “Did you call the genie?” directed by Paul Michael Glazer.

    Young Pink and Choice

At some point, the producer put Pink before a choice – either she starts a solo career, or goes home and does what she wants. Choice disbanded in 1998 and Pink began work on her debut solo album. Her first track “There You Go”, released in February 2000, went straight to number 7 on the Billboard Hot-100, as well as the top ten on the charts in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

    P!nk – There You Go

The first album of the singer “Can’t Take Me Home” immediately found its fans, the next hit was the song “Most Girls”. In 2001, Pink, along with singers Christina Aguilera, Maya and Lil’ Kim, performed a cover version of “Lady Marmalade”, which became the soundtrack to the musical film Moulin Rouge! Baz Luhrmann starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The success of the young singer was also facilitated by the release of a bright and frank video, which was constantly broadcast on all music channels, and was subsequently awarded the MTV Video Music Award in the Video of the Year category.

Pink at the dawn of his solo career

At this time, Pink did a lot of work on the second album “M!ssundaztood” – she wanted to not be perceived solely as a pop singer, so the daring compositions “Get the Party Started”, “Don’t Let Me Get” were included in the disc. Me”, as well as the lyric song “Family Portrait”.

    P!nk – Family Portrait

After the release of the album, Pink was at the peak of popularity – her songs hit the top of the music charts in English-speaking countries, discs were sold in the millions, and the singer herself won the World Music Award in the category “Best Selling American Pop Rock Artist”. In 2002, Pink embarked on an epic tour of America, Europe and Australia, as well as playing several concerts as part of rock singer Lenny Kravitz’s tour of the States.

    Style Evolution Pink

Between 2003 and 2006, Pink released two successful albums “Try This” and “I’m Not Dead”, recorded the soundtrack for the action movie “Charlie’s Angels: Straight Forward”, received several awards (including two Grammys for the song “Stupid Girls” and “Trouble”), went on a world tour and recorded joint tracks with Justin Timberlake, Annie Lennox and singer Natalia.

Pink is called the icon of punk style

In 2008-2012, the singer released two more albums – “Funhouse” and “The Truth About Love”, which also became successful and sold, and Pink received another portion of the Grammy.

Pink – Just Give Me A Reason

In 2014, Pink and Dallas Green, lead singer of City and Color, teamed up as a duo You+Me to release a collaborative album titled Rose Ave, which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and number one on the American folk chart. The singer also starred as herself in the comedy “Escape from Vegas” as the mistress of the fictional singer Aldus Snow (Russell Brand) and the comedy-drama “Thanks for the Exchange”, in which she played one of the main roles.

In 2015 and 2016, Pink could be seen in the biopic Janis: The Little Girl Is Sad, about the life of Janis Joplin, and the musical drama Pop Star: Don’t Stop, Don’t Stop.

In October 2017, Pink released the album “Beautiful Trauma”, which can be described as the final departure of the singer in dance-pop. The music video for the album’s title track featured Channing Tatum, in which he and Pink swapped clothes.

Frame from the video for the song “Beautiful Trauma”

In early March 2018, Pink embarked on her seventh concert tour, the Beautiful Trauma World Tour, which ran until September.

    Personal life Pink

In 2001, in Philadelphia, Pink met professional motorcycle racer Carey Hart. Feelings immediately flared up between the young people.
In June 2005, Pink proposed to Hart during the Mammoth Lakes motocross. The girl wrote on the pit board the phrase “Will you marry me? I’m serious!”. When the racer noticed these words, he immediately turned off the track to approach his beloved, but the singer forced Carey to finish the race, because she “did not want to marry a loser.”

Pink and Carey Hart started dating in 2001

Pink and Carey married in Costa Rica in early 2006. Two years after the wedding, the couple separated, but in February 2010, Pink confirmed that she and Hart were back together. Soon the singer’s husband appeared in Pink’s video for the songs “Just Give Me A Reason”, “True Love” and “Just like Fire”.

    Wedding photo Pink

In June 2011, Pink gave birth to their daughter Willow Sage. In December 2016, her son Jameson Moon was born in her family.

    Pink with husband and children

Pink’s idols are singers Madonna and Janis Joplin. According to the singer, as a child she thought that Madonna had a daughter.

In 2013, Pink appeared on the Forbes list of the highest paid musicians – the singer’s income is about $ 32 million.
