About the Provider

Description: Cirque du Kids is a three-ring childcare center aiming to make every child its main attraction. We endeavor to provide children, ages 6wks. – 12 yrs., with quality childcare so that they may develop cognitively and interpersonally. We believe that providing children with quality childcare will assist in securing the direction of our future as a society. We provide children with competitive education, nutritious meal plans, interactive play areas, healthy learning and growing environments, and ultimately a place to be themselves. By doing this, we create a home-away-from-home environment for all of our Cirque-Mates.

We currently service the Garfield Hts./Maple Hts, and Cleveland (Lakeshore area) with our positive childcare plans as well as transportation to and from schools within the areas, as time permits. Cirque du Kids is seeking to expand and grow but we cannot do that without the help of you! So, join our Cirque-Venture and become a honorary Cirque-Mate or make your a permanent one today! Cirque Kids — Cirque School

Our Cirque Kids & Youth programming is designed specifically for ages 7-13 with strong body awareness, focus and an interest in learning the Circus Arts. Students will be introduced and continue their training in a variety of circus techniques, both in the air & on the ground. A strong emphasis will be made on mastering the fundamentals of various technical skills as building blocks for increased balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. Class will break off into smaller groups to accommodate different skill levels and for the safety of each child. Students are encouraged to remain true to Cirque School’s spirit -to create a supportive and noncompetitive environment. Periodic student performances occur though out the program allowing families to watch, cheer and enjoy their child in the circus ring!
Students will be taught by Cirque School’s trained circus professionals in a safe, supportive and fun environment, under the direction of Tristan Cunningham.

Our goal is to keep these young artists creatively moving their bodies while finding their own unique achievements.

If you are new to us please email a submission video of your child introducing themselves and demonstrating the following skills for group level placement:

Forward Roll, Cartwheel, Splits on all sides, hold a back bend/bridge for 10 seconds and kick up to the wall and hold a handstand for 10 seconds. Students do not need to have mastery of all of the above skills, this is for our program director to get to know them. Previous Dance, Gymnastics, Martial Arts or Circus training a plus.

Each class will begin with a full body warm up, progressing to specific skill training both in the air and on the ground, culminating with a series of conditioning cool down drills to help keep these young bodies healthy and safe. Students are encouraged to remain true to Cirque School’s spirit in creating a supportive learning environment for everyone.

REGISTRATION: If you are new to Cirque School, please begin your registration process by making an account using this link .

DROP OFF’S & PICK UP’S: Please drop off and pick up your child in person. School Doors will open 10 minutes prior to class and close 5 minutes after classes – we thank you in advance for being timely.

PROPER ATTIRE: Come dressed and ready to go in Leggings,Tights or Sweatpants. Tight fitted shirt, tank top, or leotard.

COVID POLICY: At this point in time all children are required to be vaccinated and wearing masks is optional.

The Moscow circus on Tsvetnoy is a legendary place, this one of the first stationary circuses in our country was opened back in 1880. It was its first director, Albert Salamonsky, who decided to create circus programs specifically for children.
