About Kids R Us Academy

Kids R Us Academy is a center-based child care and early education facility serving the students and families of Houston! As a center, Kids R Us Academy provides a school-like learning and enrichment environment that gives students a taste of what they’ll experience at more formal school in the years to come. Students at Kids R Us Academy are provided the socialization opportunities that come with peers of similar ages, the enrichment opportunities that come with a center’s resources and structure, and the community that comes with experienced staff. Kids R Us Academy additionally takes a play-based approach to children’s development and learning, facilitating education through interactive, hands-on activities that get children moving. Play-based environments structure their spaces to encourage students to move with independence, passion and explore at their own direction. Staff in these environments encourage and galvanize students to lean into their interests and build their own worlds in cooperation with their peers, and students gain cooperative, social and emotional skills as a result of these communal activities.
