My portfolio

In my work I pay special attention to the development of coherent speech of children as an integral part of the formation and development of personality. I work on the formation of creative artistic and speech activity on the basis of fairy tales. My goal is to bring preschoolers to independent verbal creativity – writing their own fairy tales. I use a variety of methods and techniques, for example: “rituals” of entering a fairy tale, various games, exercises, reference modeling, fairy tale and literary quizzes, “fairy tale hours”. I attach great importance to the creation of a developing environment conducive to the development of children’s speech creativity: in my group a “Word Workshop” was created, an interesting “Lost and Found” was organized, in which the things of the heroes of fairy tales, “magic things” are stored independently made by children and their parents. All this allows the child to acquire the skills of positive communicative communication, contributes to the further socialization of children.

15 amazing modern inventions that children came up with

If you thought that the days of great inventors are long gone, then “Oh!” ready to immediately dissuade you of this. Little discoveries are made every day, who do you think? Children!

Three years ago, English artist, designer and inventor Dominic Wilcox challenged 450 children aged 4 to 12 from his hometown of Sunderland to come up with useful inventions and draw them on a piece of paper. But instead of handing out children’s drawings to parents who would just hang them on the refrigerator, Dominik gave the sketches to engineers, designers, carpenters and glassblowers who agreed to bring the ideas of the little inventors to life. This is how the Little Inventors project was born.

Today on the project website you can find more than 1500 ideas proposed by guys from 22 countries around the world. Today, on International Children’s Invention Day, “Oh!” made a selection of 15 of the most original and amazing children’s projects that turned into real inventions thanks to Dominic Wilcox and his team.

Water Filter Umbrella

What it is: is an invention that will save you from thirst when it rains. One has only to press a special button, and a pocket will open in the umbrella to collect rainwater. Through the tube, the liquid will go directly into the glass, having previously been filtered.

Cane with built-in radio

What it is: Especially for older people who like to listen to the radio, nine-year-old Audrey came up with a cane with built-in radio:

“My invention for my grandmother and other older people who like to listen to music or the radio and need help walking!”

The engineer who brought the idea to life said that hollow reeds are great for masking speaker wires, and they are quite stable, which means they are safe to use.

Elevator

What it is: 11-year-old Charlotte’s invention is not at all like previous projects, the girl seriously approached the issue of safety called “Liftolator”. As soon as some kind of war starts, you just press a button – and your house and garden rise above the ground, and a large blanket covers the top of the dwelling, which makes it invisible. The “Liftolator” is controlled by the steering wheel, so it will quickly take the family out of the disaster zone.

When making the project layout, the invisible blanket had to be replaced with a glass dome, which, by the way, was made by hand.

Cooling fork

What is it: probably at least once in your life, you are terribly hungry, but the dish is very hungry hot and it is simply impossible to eat it. Six-year-old Amelia found a way out of this difficult situation: a cooling fork will help you. The cutlery has a built-in fan that blows on hot food and cools it down.

3D model of the invention was made by designer Andy Mattox. He suggested making a fan out of rubber, but just in case, close it with a protective cover. Separately, it is worth noting that Amelia herself chose the colors for the prototype of the invention.

Ladybug Umbrella

What it is: The cutest five-year-old British invention in the world. She came up with the idea of making a tiny umbrella with which ladybugs can take shelter from the rain. The small and fragile product was made by master glassblower Norman Veitch.

Floor lamp with dimmer

What it is: These table lamps are just a disaster! Either they shine too brightly, or too dimly, or the switch will break. It’s time to switch to the original floor lamps with blinds, which were invented by 11-year-old Englishwoman Laila. Just put the potatoes in a recess, and after a few minutes you take out a ready-made side dish. The 3D prototype of the invention looks pretty, doesn’t it?

What it is: sparkling lights. According to the inventor, with the help of a rope you can not only jump, but also fly. Before flying, do not forget to change the batteries in the propellers.

What it is: Have you ever wanted to see what was happening behind you? 11-year-old Alex from Sunderland figured out how to do it! Five-wheeled scooter

What it is: Nine-year-old Wendy from Sunderland can invent a four-wheel scooter at the same time! “This scooter is perfect for a large family,” the author of the project shares his thoughts. After all, it’s always more fun together!

The scooter prototype was developed by a real car company. Thanks to the efforts of engineers, the model has become safer and more maneuverable, however, the brake system is only on the rear wheel, so it is recommended that an adult ride the latter.

What it is: “How long will a toothbrush and toothpaste be two different things?” thought 12-year-old Henry from Great Britain and decided to combine the functions of both items in one. The inside of the toothbrush turns into a paste dispenser, and there are several small holes among the bristles. When you press the button, the paste is squeezed out directly onto the bristles. Comfortable!

What it is: Another inventor from Sunderland, knows more than just six-year-old children but even adults sometimes lack support so much! For example, you did something truly ingenious – you solved a problem, finally put absolutely all the things in the closet in their places, but there is no one around who could “high five” you. For this, Oliver came up with the “High-five” car. The device slaps your palm with its rubber hand, and everyone is happy!

What it is: Loud noise, especially for sensory sufferers overloads. Special earplugs will allow you to enjoy the silence without anyone noticing, because they look just like real ears!
