Early Childhood Development Center Mrs. Loray Dobson, Principal As ECDC’s new principal, I can’t tell you enough how excited I am to be joining the ECDC family. I would first like to thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education. ECDC is truly a wonderful place and I, along with my staff, have been working hard to make it even better. However, this is only possible with your support! ECDC prepares students who are beginning their journey to become college and career ready. We begin by building a trusting and collaborative relationship with families, coaching teachers for improved quality of instruction throughout the year, and maximizing resources for interventions and supports for children and families. The district’s chosen curricula are Creative Curriculum and Second Steps for Early Learning which focuses directly on social and emotional development. To support its implementation here at ECDC, we have an excellent teaching staff as well as an outstanding support staff, who work in many different capacities to support learning. It is my understanding that one is born with an intended purpose. I believe it is each person’s birthright to lead a meaningful, prosperous and bountiful life. First order of business…EDUCATION. Learning must happen in an environment that is geared toward producing children that are confident, expressive and are academic risk-takers. Together we can make that happen! Although success is never measured or scored, it is however, determined by one’s own feelings of achievement and the purpose they serve in this life. Those feelings begin in early childhood. So let’s begin planting the seeds and be an effective part of that journey! My staff and I look forward to working with you! Files:
Letter from Principal: Dear ECDC Community, As our nation continue to navigate life in the time of a pandemic, our country has experienced additional suffering as we watched for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, a black man murdered and killed by a Minnesota police office. Our school community members have expressed outrage and have shown an elevated concern for our students, families, and colleagues. Not only have they reached out to express this concern, but many have taken an active role in protest, volunteer work and charitable donations. This is not a new phenomenon or an area of interest for our school community. Three years ago, I led a professional development for our staff about the policing and mistreatment of Black Boys and Men. Why is this important for preschoolers? We have the honor of educating young minds of school age children during the time when developing brains are at their most influential state. We have been charged with teaching the foundation of learning that will last students a life time. We at ECDC believe that the only way to combat hatred in our world is to raise our voices, raise student consciousness and raise up leaders of peace, kindness and love for all of mankind. I am including below, a message from our superintendent, Katrina McCombs who shares not only her reflections on recent events but also the many ways in which to receive support. School should be a place where students can be in open dialogue with their peers and teachers about how to make sense of a senseless world. As we remain in a virtual space, there is the added challenge of distance that makes it hard to stay connected to the needs of our students and families during this time. Preschoolers have an innate desire to want to understand the world around them. Please continue to help them do this by offering the understanding of using a powerful voice, and fair treatment for all. In Peace and Partnership for Children. Loray Vaughan, M. Ed, M. Ed. ECDC Principal
It is with a heavy heart that I write this email. The last few months in our nation have been emotionally draining. We have been fighting a health pandemic, one that disproportionately impacts communities of color. Also, we have witnessed the deaths of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and most recently George Floyd. These deaths, and too many like it, are a reminder of the bias, prejudice, injustice, and violence our communities of color continue to face. What happened in these cases was unacceptable and we cannot and will not tolerate it in the Camden City School District community. As a District we stand committed to protecting the wellbeing of our students and staff in and outside of our classrooms. We believe everyone should have access to the benefits of society and larger protections of social justice regardless of race, gender, religion, and ethnicity.
Now, more than ever, we must use our voices to condemn violence and hate. We must stand in solidarity. This past weekend, I participated in a march with Mayor Moran, Camden County Chief of Police Joseph Wysocki, our district Advisory Board Members, City Council Members, and many other city officials. This peaceful rally brought together many members of the Camden community. During this event I saw frustration but I also saw hope. While one march does not erase the inequities and inequalities, it is a step in the right direction.
Given recent events across our nation, the District will observe Wednesday, June 3, 2020 as a Day of Reflection. All teachers and staff will have the day off. My charge to everyone on this day is to use the time to self-reflect, self-care, and recharge. I encourage you to find ways to show a commitment to anti-racism and dismantle the systems that have resulted in the brutality and violence we have witnessed in recent weeks and throughout our nation’s history. Also, whenever you feel overwhelmed, I encourage you to reach out to your colleagues, friends, mentors, and make use of district resources such as ComPsych, our employee assistance program (1-800-272-7255).
What we are facing as a society is about right and wrong. Let’s stay united and confront social issues head on and together to create a better Camden community for one another. Sincerely,
Katrina T. McCombs, M.Ed., MPA State District Superintendent Camden City School District |

In His Service
Curriculum
Agape Academy Child Development Center uses the Abeka Curriculum for its pre school section. For early learners, the Abeka Curriculum can be challenging, as the young child begins its ability to learn letters, colors, numbers, shapes, science and most of all words. This curriculum has a spiral approach to skill building. It is bible based and therefore approaches each subject from a Christian perspective. Abeka places emphasis on teaching phonics (reading), mathematics and language development in a structured classroom setting.
For Pre school students, we also incorporate the Project Construct curriculum. It allows children to construct knowledge through hands on activities and interactions with their physical and social environment. This curriculum assists the students in exploring and discovering things on their own.
Our Preschool along with the Abeka curriculum, uses the Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum is a play-based curriculum which uses exploration and discovery as a way of learning. It enables children to develop confidence, creativity, and life-long critical thinking skills.
Curriculum/Elementary and Middle School
For our elementary and middle school uses the Harcourt curriculum and other more advanced supplements to achieve an accelerated education. Most Agape students score higher and sometimes even two grades higher than their current grade. Harcourt and other supplements including Abeka help to insure a sound accelerated academic experience. It is not unusual to find 7th and 8th grade students figuring out geometry and advanced algebra problems. We teach strongly, physical sciences, including environmental, earth and life sciences.
Agape has incorporated music, art, woodshop classes, machine shop and family and consumer science.
Extra Curriculum Activities
Extra activities include drama, sign, dance, step, choir, band, basketball and soccer.
Transportation
Agape’ offers transportation to and from the center. We service throughout the St. Louis area including North County.
Our Mission
Agape’ Academy & Child Development Center is purposed to provide the very best in educational and child care needs. We pledge to provide for each student a sound accelerated academic curriculum in a wholesome & safe Christian atmosphere. Agape purposes to provide academic knowledge of God’s Written Word.
Agape’ recognizes that the essential purpose of education is to provide each student with basic literacy. We will give each student the skills necessary to transfer the essential elements of knowledge and wisdom. We firmly believe that education begins in the home. Our program is designed to continue the educational process formally, and to prepare the student how to strive for excellence, understanding that this may be an unachievable goal when consider the rapid changes taking place on our planet from day to day, moment to moment. Education is unending.
Agape’ staff pledges to work with parents, helping them to help our children as they strive for mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
As we work to build the self esteem of our students, Agape staff pledges together to maintain a mind that is open to an ever-changing world so they will be able to take their positions as Christians in which they are entitled and ordained by God to be leaders, pace setters, builders, the influential, the lenders……the Beautiful Minds & Hearts of Jehovah God through Jesus Christ!!

I want to express my gratitude to Marina Ivanovna for classes with my son. Marina Ivanovna did an excellent job with the tasks, found an approach to the child and helped to quickly prepare for school. When the question arose with which teacher to improve knowledge in subjects after distance learning, the son’s answer was unequivocal, only Marina Ivanovna. Accessible presentation of the material, attentive, very patient, perfectly conveys the material to the child. Thank you very much for your work.

Wonderful centre. My daughter has been attending for two years now. Every time she runs to class with pleasure. Thank you very much Albina Maratovna for an individual approach to each child. For developing imagination and creativity in children. Each of your activities delights my daughter. We also attend classes with a speech therapist Anna Dmitrievna Davydova. Август 23, 2018, 17:46:39″/>I would like to express special gratitude to the director Lyubov Valeryevna for gathering such a close-knit, intelligent team that knows how to find an approach to children in the center.
All teachers are wonderful! Tatyana Anatolyevna always greets with a charming smile, teaches speed reading in an interesting way, that the child is not bored at all, goes to classes with pleasure.
Nadezhda Ivanovna always knows the right words to calm our fidgets and teach them mental arithmetic, where we have already achieved high results: we count 99 numbers at a speed of 0.7 seconds. brothers with a poem. And I think that this is not our record yet.
Ilya Valeryevich, who teaches chess in such an interesting way, he not only teaches children chess, but also communicates with them during the game and the whole learning process is a pleasure!
Thank you for this center!
P.S. It is very pleasant that when we come to the center, we are met by the administrator Irina, who knows all the children and always finds words to cheer them up. -

We have been teaching English since September 2016. We are very satisfied with the teacher Anastasia Sitnikova. A very positive person who knows and loves his job. My granddaughter loves it and looks forward to her next class.

I express my deep gratitude to the children’s center “Territory of Knowledge”, speech therapist Davydova Anna Dmitrievna and, of course, to all the staff of the center. In a short time, many sounds were delivered to my child, the pronunciation became clear and understandable. Artem became more self-confident and more sociable. We will continue to study, as my child really likes the classes. I wish the center prosperity and success. Children need help, and you do it! Thank you!

Valery’s daughter visits the Territory of Knowledge center with great pleasure. She has a whole range of classes – English (Daria Andreevna Stepanova), preparation for school (Valentina Viktorovna Lapshina) and creativity (Lucia Igorevna Sorokina). The child is delighted with the classes, and I am very pleased with the professionalism of the teachers, the ability to find an approach to children and, of course, the results that I see with Lera. In the new academic year, we will definitely continue Lera’s favorite classes, and we also plan to try mental arithmetic.

The granddaughter visits the “Territory of Knowledge” for the second year. Teaches English and prepares for school. While attending classes, Sophia developed an interest in learning. In general, she began to read very quickly. She likes to communicate with other children, good friends have appeared. I really want to thank the teachers for their work and the results that our family likes.

Nadia is 8 years old. When she entered school, she was diagnosed with memory problems. Memorizing even small poems was not easy. After three months of mental arithmetic, it was a miracle for me when Nadia repeated a poem of 20 lines from the first reading. In addition, she became more attentive, diligent and organized when doing school homework. I am very grateful to the teacher Inna Evgenievna for such an excellent result.

My daughter attends mental arithmetic classes with great desire, and the result was not long in coming! My daughter began to read faster, memorize poems faster. There was excellent concentration. What surprised me the most and what I did not believe in was that my daughter began to do everything much faster and more independently. Many thanks to the teacher Erlikh Lyudmila Alexandrovna.

Svetlana
My children, Nastya and Alyosha, have been studying mental arithmetic for almost half a year. Already after 1.5 months of classes, they could simultaneously count examples at a speed of 0.5 s and recite a poem. And now they are much better at counting examples on imaginary than on physical accounts. Thanks to mental arithmetic, Nastya’s reading speed increased significantly, which was also noted by the teacher. And I think as a consequence of that, she reads a lot more now. Alyosha has become more attentive and collected: when doing homework, he does not miss anything from the condition of the problem. Classes in mental arithmetic also influenced school success, it is easier for them to come up with new topics, it is easier to cope with tests. In English, it has become easier to learn dialogues, new words and sentences, and to prepare retellings. I recommend mental arithmetic to everyone, especially those who have difficulties in mastering the school curriculum.

Anna Alexandrovna
I express my gratitude to the entire staff of the center. We took our daughter last year to “Preparing for School”. I am very pleased with the result for such a short period of study (11 months).
Now we are studying in the 1st grade, we plan to attend mental arithmetic from February next year. Thank you!
Sincerely, Anna Alexandrovna. -
Irina
We attend classes in the branch at the “Start”. I liked that the center worked in the summer. Everything suits me. At the moment there are no comments, I hope there will not be. We plan to return to you in November.

I am taking the child to Tatyana Viktorovna. Classes are insanely interesting, exciting, memorable. My daughter is waiting for us to go to class. Walks with great pleasure. We have something to compare with, because. went to 2 other children’s organizations. But Aunt Tanya conquered us with her ingenuity, love for her work and children. Thanks!!!

Good afternoon!
Our family expresses its sincere gratitude to the teacher of the center “Territory of Knowledge” – Valentina Viktorovna, with whom my son, Ilya, has been studying for the third year.
Valentina Viktorovna is a great clever woman, a true professional, who subtly feels the problems and difficulties of the child and empathizes with him. It not only teaches children to read, count, but also forms the horizon, the ability to think, reason, evaluate their own actions and the actions of people.
Valentina Viktorovna is intelligent, never allows herself to show irritation (although there are reasons for this), greets the child with a smile, a kind word, and has a wonderful sense of humor.
Finding a good teacher for a preschool child is a great success for parents. We are lucky in this regard! We adore our Valentina Viktorovna, a hard worker, clever woman, mother of a wonderful daughter, Dashenka. We wish you life’s blessings, good health! And once again we say: THANK YOU!!
With respect and sincere gratitude, Olga Kamyshanova. -
Elena
We go to your Center with great pleasure) Many thanks to the teachers for your work. We went to school preparation for Valentina Viktorovna, she gave us such a high level of knowledge that my child is now an asterisk in her class)))
At present, educational centers, clubs for the development of giftedness (gifted children), preschool institutions for early development, additional education,
leisure clubs, development and creativity centers for children of preschool and school age.
We have taken their experience and offer you a completely new approach to the comprehensive development of children. We invite children to classes from an early age.

SmartyKids – a franchise with minimal investment and a quick payback
Child development and additional education is one of the most profitable business lines. But building an online school or an offline center from scratch is a very difficult task for a person without experience. We offer the SmartyKids franchise. Over five years of successful work, we have opened over 300 centers in six countries.
Who is the SmartyKids franchise for?
SmartyKids is a franchise with minimal investment and fast payback. Parents, teachers, entrepreneurs who are going to open their own educational center for children can become our partners.
As part of the franchise, the company offers an extensive support package:
· Access to author’s methods for offline and online learning. They include programs in mental arithmetic, programming, financial literacy, speed reading, and calligraphy.
· High quality professional training materials.
· Access to the online learning platform with personal accounts of the teacher and the student.
· Layouts for advertising campaigns and decoration of the center.
· Resumes of teachers, training of teachers in corporate methods.
· Own website, crm-system, weekly conferences, support chats and much more.
Benefits of working with SmartyKids
The main advantage of our offer is a franchise with minimal investment and a quick payback. Working under our brand allows you to open a successful children’s center in any city or region of the country. Among our other advantages:
· Versatility. Classes can be held both remotely and in the classroom. Due to the pandemic period, we have significantly reduced the requirements for the space of the centers. Today, a very small room is enough to start working offline.
· Full support on all business issues. We share the experience gained by our network over 5 years of successful work. This helps to avoid most common mistakes and in a shorter time to reach the full return on investment in the discovery. As a rule, this period is from 3 months.
· Strong brand and good reputation. Our brand is known and loved throughout the country. More than 20,000 children in 220 cities have already passed through the network of centers. More than 20 Olympiads have been held within the network, and we have trained over 2,000 teachers. We are constantly working to increase the level of knowledge of the SmartyKids brand by increasing consumer loyalty.
If you have long wanted to open your own business, but did not dare to start, we will provide comprehensive support. This is your own business with low start-up costs and extensive prospects for the future.
Leave a request or call us. We will tell you about all the conditions and opportunities in more detail, and help you choose the best format for cooperation.
