Mission
Our mission is to assure parents and guardians their children will be in a safe, clean, healthy, and exciting environment.
Vision
Our vision for London Bridges CDC is to help parents feel good about their childcare choice. We want to give parents assurance their child is safe, engaged, educated and smiling. We want to play, learn, and grow with your children!
Philosophy
We at London Bridges CDC believe that our program and services provide a unique, play- based, child centered curriculum for infant, toddlers, and school age children. We provide the integration of physical, spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, language, and self help to support your child’s overall development. We recognize parents are their child’s first teacher. Here we believe children learn best when parents are involved in their educational program. So we encourage parent participation each month for different activities going on in the center/field trip chaperones. We are here to build a primary bridge between home and school, with the *involvement of family and community. London Bridges believes if you “train up a child in the way he should go; when he is old he will never depart from it” Proverbs 22:6.

Testimonials
The ways in which London operates her daycare set her apart from others as she posts multiple pictures daily of our kids during play, learning and eating. We have seen our daughter learn and progress in her speech, her understanding of how things work and most importantly, how she relates to others. Our daughter comes home so proud of her daily arts and craft project – she demands we post it up on the refrigerator door. Needless to say we have no more room on our refrigerator door. I personally targeted a place like London’s, as she is providing a loving and nurturing service, but she means more to us than just that. She unknowingly gives our daughter positive concepts of self by virtue of being a smart, caring and entrepreneur woman of color in our community. We are a multi-racial family (Black/Indian) and this is an extremely unique necessity and gift that London provides. She is able to care about our daughter from a perspective that is culturally meaningful to our family and she exhibits grace and leadership that is vital for our kids to experience within the community.

Due to the pandemic it has been very difficult for my family and I to find a reliable trusting facility with an amicable atmosphere to accommodate my child’s needs. The second I walked into LONDON BRIDGES, I knew this is where i wanted to bring my child to learn and play with other children. The minute my child met Ms. Fitzgerald, he connected with her instantly. Usually he is skeptical at first. What I admire the most as a new mother, I was very hesitant at first about even considering putting my child in Day Care. Ms. Fitzgerald has made me feel comfortable enough to trust her with the safety of my child. Ms. Fitzgerald is very consistent on keeping me updated with my son’s daily routine, activities, when he eat, sleep, wellness checks, and mood changes.

Tower Bridge, London, UK – strana.uk
Tower Bridge in London is located in the city center, on the River Thames, and is one of the most recognizable symbols of England. This Victorian Gothic drawbridge attracts millions of tourists every year from all over the world. nine0055
City:
London
Address:
Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2UP
Site Map:
Type:
Its length is 244 meters, and the height of the towers reaches 65 meters.
The bridge’s two drawbridge wings weigh over 1000 tons and can be raised up to 83 degrees when lifting to allow ships to pass. Despite the huge weight and length of 61 meters, the wings rise within one minute. nine0055
Initially, there was no divorce schedule. It was raised every time a ship approached, this could happen up to 50 times a day.
In order for pedestrians to cross the bridge during the opening of the wings, special galleries were built between the towers at a height of 44 meters, to which stairs of 300 steps led.
Inside each tower there were also two elevators (up and down), but this method of transportation turned out to be too expensive, and residents preferred to wait until the bridge was lowered. In this regard, at 19In 10, the galleries were closed, and since 1982 they have been used as a museum and an observation deck.
Currently, the bridge is being opened according to the ship traffic schedule, 4 to 5 times a week.
The need for such a structure arose as a result of a sharp economic recovery of the country, which contributed to the growth of population and transport. To solve this problem, in 1876 the authorities announced a competition for the design of the bridge, the winner of which was the architect Horace Jones. After his death in 1887, the work was continued by John Wolf Berry. nine0055
Construction began on June 21, 1886 and lasted 8 years. Over 400 people worked on the construction of the Tower Bridge. 11,000 tons of steel were spent on the creation of metal structures. To protect them from corrosion, the towers were lined with stone.
The opening of the bridge, in which the Prince of Wales Edward and his wife Princess Alexandra took part, took place on June 30, 1894.
The bridge opening system was created by engineer Hamilton Owen Rendel. Initially, water for the hydraulic system was pumped using two 360 hp steam engines, which were heated by coal, but in 19In 74, the equipment was completely updated by installing an electric drive.
This is the world’s first sliding bridge, 132 years old and still attracts a huge number of tourists.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the raising of the bridge leaves every day – only 4-5 times a week.
We advise you to definitely go upstairs, there you can go upstairs and even lie down on the glass floor and feel yourself floating over the Thames.
