Wonderbly/Amazon

Tots are a little too young (and light on cash) to peruse and purchase a gift from a Mother’s Day gift guide, and they’re certainly not going to excel in more specific categories like, say, “wine lover gifts” and “gifts for dog lovers.” But that doesn’t mean you can’t surprise your wife, sister, grandmother, or best friend with a gift from a little one that’s both age-appropriate and special. Here, we’ve rounded up the best Mother’s Day gifts from toddlers, which span the spectrum from DIY offerings and simple Mother’s Day crafts to shop-able options you can order from Amazon or Walmart and have delivered straight to her door. Moms of all types will treasure these presents forever—and yes, we’ve even made sure to include some new mom gifts and gifts for pregnant women to ensure that every Mom is covered. And don’t miss our Best Mom Ever certificate, or these perfect-for-Mother’s-Day door hangers.

Of course, it’s not just Mom who’ll love these products: Years down the road, your child will also enjoy looking back on what you two bought or made for one of the most wonderful women in his or her life—and years after that, their children might even get a kick out of sorting through those extra-memorable items. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

30 Best Mother’s Day Gifts from Kids

Kudzu Monster

Of all the best gifts for mom, breakfast in bed usually takes top billing. Just ask Ree Drummond’s kids, who have traditionally prepared their mom an early morning Mother’s Day brunch each year. (Lucky Ree!) But if you’ve got younger kids, things are a little different. Odds are, you don’t want them anywhere near your bed with a glass of OJ in hand…and goodness knows they shouldn’t so much as touch your stovetop.

That’s where these best Mother’s Day gifts from kids come in. Whether you’re looking for a sweet, small, affordable Mother’s Day gift that a newborn can “present” to Mom on that special Sunday in May or a slightly bigger-ticket item for a 12-year-old to offer up, at least one idea on this list will fit the bill. We’ve got Mother’s Day gifts from daughters and Mother’s Day gifts from sons alike. Plus, even if they don’t have the hand-eye coordination (or attention span, or, well, willpower) to write their own DIY Mother’s Day card, you’re in luck: You can help them fill out easy-to-understand prompts in keepsake-ready books like “What I Love About Mom” or “Letters to My Mom.” Prepare for a whole lot of happy tears!

25 Best Mother’s Day Gifts From Toddlers

yinibinibaby, amazon

The best Mother’s Day gifts come from toddlers. Sure, they have to have help. But sit them in front of an art project, or let them pick out a photo to turn into a gift, and you’ll be surprised at the creativity and wild choices they come up with.

Of course, they can’t do it alone — and you don’t have to, either. Here are our picks for the best Mother’s Day gifts from toddlers. Some are kits that’ll help them come up with their own DIY Mother’s Day crafts — just give them the materials and set them loose! (With supervision, of course.) Others are inspirations for Mother’s Day activities, like a cookbook full of recipes they can make together (or that you can make and serve to Mom). And of course, one of the best things about having a toddler is the mommy-and-me dressing, so there are plenty of ideas for clothes and accessories that’ll make for the perfect Mother’s Day Instagram moment and caption. Then there are those mementos that’ll serve as keepsakes for years to come like personalized gifts and portraits. Don’t be alarmed if Mom sheds a tear — her baby is growing up so fast.

What to give for Mother’s Day

The main thing that mothers expect from us on this bright day is attention. Therefore, it is not necessary to bother much with a gift. The main thing is to choose it with a soul and come to the closest relatives and friends in order to personally congratulate and solemnly present the prepared present. But if you have absolutely no gift ideas, look for clues in our article.

The best gift for mother’s day: tips on how to find a good idea

Our mothers very often save on themselves by giving everything to children or saving. Therefore, sometimes mom can be pleased with the most banal things – an electric meat grinder or an immersion blender. When choosing a gift, be sure to consider:

  • mum’s hobbies and hobbies;
  • her age and state of health;
  • her way of life.
  • Small children can make a handmade gift for mother’s day out of paper – a beautiful bouquet of paper tulips or a card.

What to give mom for mother’s day from her daughter

It is logical for a daughter to give her mother a gift that can emphasize femininity:

  • decorative cosmetics and pharmacy creams for self-care;
  • something of clothing;
  • useful accessories;
  • certificate for visiting a stylist or SPA.
  • But no less useful at any age will be a gift in the form of puzzles that can be assembled and then glued to the wall in the form of a picture: which can be repeated ad infinitum.

Therefore, if you still don’t know what gift to give your mom for Mother’s Day, be sure to choose this puzzle.

What to give mom for Mother’s Day if there is no money? What can be done with your own hands?

    04/26/2021

For any mother, the best gift is to see her children happy and smiling. Therefore, if there is no money, the easiest way to congratulate a woman on Mother’s Day is to spend the whole day together, especially when you live separately. This is easy to do, since the holiday is celebrated on Sunday, and you can definitely set aside a day off to dedicate it to the parental family.

If you think that spending time together is not enough and you need something more significant, read our article. We collected original Mother’s Day gift ideas on a budget . You will find universal surprises and offers for daughter and son.

What to give for Mother’s Day, regardless of the child’s gender

There are gifts that do not depend on gender, that is, they can be easily brought to life by both a boy and a girl. The most important assistant in creating inexpensive but pleasant gifts is photos . It is easy to make a collage of them, order a photo mug, buy a frame and decorate to your liking. If there are a lot of children’s photos, collect them in a common album and come up with interesting or funny captions.

Another budget gift option for Mother’s Day is to write a memoir book . Do it by hand in a beautiful notebook, or print the text and have it bound by a print shop. Write down childhood memories, what kind of mother do you remember, what did the events of the past seem from the position of the child.

Another “memoir” option is to play game . On a Sunday night, ask your mom to share her memories. Prepare in advance questions from her childhood and adolescence: about childhood addictions and fears, how she took the news of pregnancy, what were the first years of your life that you don’t remember. The game can be useful for the whole family, and you will look at your mother with different eyes.

Choosing a gift for Mother’s Day from daughter

It is believed that it is easier for girls than boys to decide on congratulations, but if fantasy does not work for any reason, use our advice.

    • A cold winter is ahead, so knit a shawl, plaid or scarf . Lessons, diagrams and master classes can be found on the Internet, there are simple options that even beginners can handle. Every time mom takes a knitted item, she will remember you.
    • Arrange home massage or SPA . Prepare a bath in advance, buy a massage cream, massage your mother’s arms, legs and back. This will be a good gesture of gratitude for her sleepless nights of your childhood.
    • Set the festive table , prepare a cake or a delicious breakfast in bed. If the family has family recipes, ask your mother to teach them how to cook on Mother’s Day.

If you have hobbies, be sure to make your mom a gift with your own hands. It can be embroidery, decoration, drawing, poem or story. The main thing is to present the result of the hobby beautifully and with gratitude.

What kind of present can a son make on Mother’s Day

It is more difficult for a boy to make gifts with his own hands, usually they prefer to buy something or confine themselves to verbal congratulations. But there are options for surprises that do not require much effort.

If you live with your mother, do all your homework : on the eve of the holiday, clean the apartment and prepare food: not necessarily festive – you don’t know how to cook, limit yourself to an everyday dish. Sons who live separately can take their mother shopping, and a single woman can do all the hard work around the house: repair something, nail it, paint it. It is not the amount of activity that is important, but attention and care.

Ideas for original bouquets and flower arrangements for Mother’s Day

It’s hard to imagine a holiday without flowers. When there is no money for luxurious ensembles, florists offer to collect compositions on their own.

For example, assemble flower and candy box . You just need to buy a small floral sponge and one large rose or single-headed chrysanthemum in a flower shop. Soak the sponge in water, wrap it in cling film and place the bud in it. Put the flower together with the sweets in the box. The content can be supplemented with notes with compliments.

Another option for a flower gift is to buy some flowers (roses, alstroemerias and chrysanthemums are inexpensive in autumn), fruits, wooden skewers and craft paper. Put fruit on skewers, combine with flowers and wrap with craft. A beautiful vitamin bouquet is ready.

If you don’t trust your floral skills, buy a hydrangea branch in designer packaging. It looks spectacular even alone, which allows you to give flowers even with little financial opportunity.

For inexpensive flowers for Mother’s Day, come to Artflora, and everyone can find warm words, wishes and compliments for mom, and you don’t have to pay for them. Remember: all our native women need is the love and attention of children.

What to give for Mother’s Day: ideas for unusual gifts

Mother’s Day in Russia is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, but in different countries this day has its own dates.

This relatively new holiday for our country is a great occasion to congratulate dear mothers and remind them how much we appreciate their love and care.

What to give for Mother’s Day? You can please your mother on a holiday simply by showing concern for her. Sign her up for a massage or take her to your favorite restaurant. When the budget is limited, order a cake with a congratulatory inscription and go to visit her.

If you want to give a more interesting present, look at a selection of 25 ideas from Komsomolskaya Pravda.

    Top 25 Mother’s Day Gifts

First, check with your siblings, if you have any, it might be worth buying a pooled gift from everyone. Secondly, think about your last conversations: suddenly mom mentioned what she would like to buy or try. Thirdly, think about her hobbies: a present of interest will always come in handy. Fourth, take a look at our list – maybe it is in it that you will find the very idea.

    Useful gifts for the home

    1. Steam cleaner

    Photo: shutterstock.com

This device removes dirt from various surfaces using directed steam without the use of household chemicals. Steam cleaners differ in size (there are both large and compact models) and have different nozzles: for washing windows, floors, carpets, and so on. For allergy sufferers, in general, an indispensable thing in the house, because the device destroys dust well and even neutralizes sharp specific odors.

    2. Plaid

    Photo: pixabay.com

Such a product has many textures and sizes, so there is always the opportunity to pick up something new: a classic canvas with tassels and checkered colors for an armchair, or a fluffy shaggy bedspread for a bed. Choose a blanket that matches the interior in your parent’s home. To add even more cosiness to the gift, complement it with your mother’s favorite tea.

    3. Preserved moss painting

    Photo: shutterstock.com

Moss panels make the interior of the house more environmentally friendly and natural. Real moss, as a rule, reindeer moss, is treated with a special compound and tinted. Thanks to this, the plant becomes stabilized: insects will not start in it, it will not begin to grow, but it will not wither for at least five years. At the same time, such products do not require any care: no watering, no pruning, no fertilizers. At most, once every couple of months you will have to blow off the dust with a hair dryer. The larger the panel, the more spectacular it will look in the interior.

    4. Shopper bag

    Photo: @angela-roma, pexels.com

These handy bags have become part of our everyday life and now their shapes, designs and colors are amazing. Depending on the material, it can be used not only for shopping, but also as a classic bag, or a string bag for storing potatoes under the sink – depending on what your mom’s imagination lasts. If desired, you can order a special inscription or drawing that will be applied to the bag – the thing will become exclusive.

    5. Jars for storing cereals

    Photo: pixabay.com

The once ordinary household utensils have long become not only a must-have item in the kitchen, but also an element of decor. Storage containers for bulk products can be made of glass, plastic or metal. The most popular now are glass jars with airtight wooden lids. They can be purchased with stylish stickers or a permanent marker to sign products on cans.

    Technology gifts

    6. Tablet

    Photo: pixabay.com

A modern tablet is a mini-computer that is easy to carry in a purse and is more convenient to use than a smartphone. If you complement the gift with a special stand, your mother will have a convenient entertainment station, for example, in the kitchen. Through this installation, you can spend time cooking, watching a series, chatting with friends on instant messengers, or turning on an application with step-by-step recipes and cooking new dishes with your tablet.

    7. Portable charger

    Photo: pixabay.com

A gadget for those who always forget to charge their phone and spend enough time on the road. If your mom is on the go but wants to keep her connected all the time, a 10,000 mAh external battery will be enough to keep her smartphone running all day long. Models with higher energy capacity can support a battery charge for up to three days, but their large size and weight of more than half a kilogram are no longer so convenient – such a device can hardly fit in a woman’s handbag.

    8. Keychain for finding keys

    Photo: pixabay.com

A universal gift that has long ceased to look only for keys. The classic model worked on the whistle response principle: a pendant attached to the keys reacted to the sound and emitted a signal indicating its location. The new key fobs work with the help of a special application in the phone and Bluetooth. The locator device can be put in a wallet, attached to keys and even to the collar of a beloved pet. If the thing you need is lost, just open the application on your phone, press the search button and listen to where the sound comes from. The device also works in the opposite direction: if the phone is lost, you can press the key fob button – the application on the phone will start emitting a signal.

    9. Smart ring

    Photo: shutterstock.com

An alternative to popular smartwatches, only more compact, that’s why it has much less functionality, but the novelty looks very stylish. The jewelry has an NFC chip, through which a connection is established with the owner’s smartphone. The ring can be used as an intercom key or contactless payment for purchases, and it also measures steps, calories burned and heart rate. More expensive and advanced models have a voice assistant, thanks to which calls and messages are received on the ring.

    10. Electric mill

    Photo: pixabay.com

Salt or pepper shaker, or a whole set of appliances powered by conventional AA batteries. Accessories are supplied with containers for loose spices with a grinder. What to give mom for Mother’s Day? From a son, from a daughter, with your own hands

Mother’s Day is a great occasion to please your loved one with a pleasant present. It is not necessary to buy something very expensive, attention and care are much more important for our mothers. If you do not know what to give mom for Mother’s Day, use our tips. They will help you easily solve a difficult issue and please your beloved mother with an excellent present.

How to choose the right gift for mom

Although mom will be happy with any manifestation of love and respect from children on mother’s day, you should still try to choose a gift that will really impress her. In order for the gift to definitely please your mother, you need to remember a few simple rules:

    • You need to choose a present taking into account her tastes and preferences. The gift should please her, and not match your ideas of beauty.
    • Take the time to prepare a gift. If you do it yourself, do not rush and do not be lazy.

Of course, mom will be delighted with any crooked craft, but we must try to do it as best as possible. If you are buying a present, go around several stores, look for something that is most suitable.
    • Try to make your gift useful. Postcards can have no use, they do not take up much space, and mom will keep them for years. But if you give her useless souvenirs every year, soon there will be nowhere to put them.
    • Be imaginative. Even the most trivial kitchen towels and potholders can be beautifully decorated and presented, accompanied by original congratulations on Mother’s Day.

A little secret, all mothers love that people think well of their children. If you want to please your mother’s heart, present your gift in front of guests, neighbors, or do it after her work in front of amazed employees.

    Do-it-yourself gift for mom

If the children are still small and do not yet have their own money, it will be difficult to buy a gift for mother’s day.

You can ask for a small amount from your father, grandparents, or try to make something with your own hands. The second option is preferable, since not a single inexpensive knick-knack will please mom like the creation of her baby.

To make a gift really successful, you need to do what you are good at. The presentation does not have to be material. If you don’t know how to sew, embroider or draw, dance or sing.

It is relatively easy to make a postcard with your own hands. It can be drawn, but it will be easier to arrange it in the scrapbooking style, decorating it with beads, flowers and bows. Also, beautiful postcards are obtained using the quilling technique. On the Internet there are many simple master classes that will prompt the correct technique.

It is also quite easy to make a photo frame. The blank can be wooden or made of thick cardboard. It must be decorated with any small details – shells, beads, buttons, even pasta of an interesting shape. The top can be painted and/or varnished.

Insert a family photo or a portrait of your mother into the finished frame.

A good present for Mother’s Day is a photo collage of family photos. You can take a photo in which your mother is discharged from the hospital with you, and supplement it with images sorted by year. Be sure to come up with a beautiful inscription with gratitude to your beloved mother. You can also make a small photo album, but it will be more difficult and you will have to buy materials in a hand-made store.

There is nothing wrong with asking your mother what she would like to receive. Also, on the eve of the holiday, you can invite your mother to take a walk around the shopping center and take a closer look at what interested her most.

If mom has everything she needs, you can choose an original appliance, for example, an ice cream maker, a fondue maker or a food warmer.

Any gift for mom on Mother’s Day should show the love and care of children. Don’t forget to say how much you care about her and how much you appreciate her help and support.

An excellent gift for mom – a break from home and everyday life. Children can purchase a ticket for her to a resort or pay for treatment at a sanatorium. Mom will go to rest with pleasure and will be grateful to her “kids”. If mom doesn’t really like traveling, you can give her a visit to a spa or massage in your city. And a real homebody will definitely like a vibrating massager or a hot tub. You can also purchase a massage chair. Such things will help you relax and unwind after a hard day. Now, every evening, mother will remember her children with gratitude.

A woman who has everything needs to choose something original for Mother’s Day, for example:

What to give for Mother’s Day from a daughter

For most mothers, a daughter is the closest and dearest person. Therefore, it is the daughter who can choose something for the comfort and relaxation of her mother:

    • Beautiful house dress . Many women neglect the choice of home clothes and walk around in dressing gowns or old tracksuits. If the daughter gives a comfortable dress for the house, the mother will certainly be happy.
    • Comfortable indoor shoes . Although most of us prefer to run at home in slippers or barefoot, good indoor shoes will definitely not be superfluous.
    • Fashion accessory . Of course, mom has her own style and she knows what suits her and what doesn’t. But the daughter is younger, she can bring some freshness and new fashion trends to the wardrobe.

    • Kitchen utensils
. Most women prefer to cook in old familiar pans and pots using the same appliances. But new inventions appear in the world every year, and it’s good if the daughter introduces her mother to modern technologies.

Many mothers do not have enough simple communication with their grown daughters, so a joint holiday will also be a great present. You can invite your mom to go to a manicure, cinema, theater or fitness center together.

What to give for mother’s day from son

It can be difficult for sons to choose gifts for their mother. Usually they, unlike daughters, do not know how to select accessories, do not understand kitchen utensils and do not know their mother’s clothing size. Therefore, guys can give interior items and things that are not tied to the size of clothes, for example:

    • Wallet . A good leather purse will look stylish even in the most minimalist design, so the son will easily please his mother.

    • Lamp . It can be a functional table lamp for a lover of reading or needlework in the evenings, or a stylish night light. The main thing is that it fits into the interior.
    • Handicraft supplies . The son knows exactly about his mother’s hobby, and in the store they will tell you what is better to buy.
    • Mother’s portrait on canvas . It can be printed or ordered from the artist. The main thing is to choose the photo that she likes for work, and not you.

And don’t forget that the most important thing for a mother is the love of her children. Say kind words to her and thank her for her warmth and care, not only on Mother’s Day, but on any other. It will be better and more valuable than any expensive gifts.

What can I give mom from my daughter on Mother’s Day

    Photo: Pexels

How to choose a gift for mom? The easiest option is to ask her herself what she needs. But such a gift will look like a regular purchase of a thing for the house. If you want to surprise your mother and give a sense of celebration, then you will have to choose a present yourself, based on your observations, which can please your loved one.

This year, the situation is further complicated by the coronavirus and the quarantine announced in connection with it, which was extended until May 22. So you can’t freely go to the market or shop and choose what you like. Online trading platforms and your own imagination can help you choose a gift.

How to congratulate your mother if you can’t see each other ? You can write a sweet and kind paper letter to her in the old fashioned way. You can call her, of course, better by video call. You can also arrange the delivery of a festive bouquet, sweets, a gift certificate or a gift of your choice on Mother’s Day.

    • What you can give your mother on her holiday: photos

Most mothers are romantic and sentimental natures, especially when it comes to their children and grandchildren. Looking at your favorite family photos and remembering the bright moments of life associated with relatives is one of the best pastimes. Make an album, make a spectacular collage or picture, buy an electronic photo frame, mount a movie with your old and fresh photos that mom has not seen yet – she, of course, will be delighted with such a gift.

    • What to give mom with your own hands on Mother’s Day

A good option for a gift to a loved one in quarantine is hand made. You don’t have to leave your home anywhere, and all the necessary materials can be found at hand. What to give mom with your own hands from your daughter? For example, an exclusive bag, and even more than one, can be sewn from old jeans, an unnecessary jacket, an out-of-fashion skirt and other things, as well as combining them. And as a basis it is reasonable to take a pattern of my mother’s beloved, but already worn out bag. Buttons, ribbons, bows, braid, beads, pieces of leather, etc. will serve as decor.

Worthy handmade gifts for Mother’s Day

Mom is not just a parent, but the dearest person in everyone’s life. After all, no matter what we are, she always loves us, tries to help and support us in any situation. Mom will never leave or betray, unlike many others. Many countries celebrate Mother’s Day. And in our country, such a tradition arose in 1998 and this year the important day falls on November 28th. It is worth taking care of a gift that you can give to your mother in advance. And the best option would be something made with your own hands.

Wonderful postcard for mom using quilling technique

Many people have already appreciated the advantages of a new technique called quilling and make a lot of crafts thanks to it. After all, it allows you to create real masterpieces with your own hands. And for Mother’s Day, you can make a beautiful and delicate postcard using the quilling technique. You can decorate such a gift as you like, to your taste and color and diversify with all kinds of colors. In order to prepare a present for your mother, you should prepare colored paper, a wooden skewer, scissors and glue in advance. At the beginning, strips are made from colored paper, for example, green, which should be half a centimeter wide. They need to be wound on a skewer, and then remove it and unfold the curl a little.

Fix the end of this curl with glue. If you squeeze and pull. then you get a figure that will look like a leaf or a drop. Thus, you need to make five such droplets. Next, you need to cut two strips of bright colored paper already 3.5 centimeters wide. Fold and cut the noodles from one end not to the end. Next, take a piece of colored paper and make half a centimeter strips out of it.

Screw onto a wooden skewer as before.

Take one curl and glue the end, and then take a blank with chopped noodles and glue the piece in a circle. Fix the ends with glue. Thus, you can create a beautiful and original flower. You can come up with a variety of options with a variety of colors. Flowers should be placed on a postcard in any form, as you want, so that it is beautiful.

Do not forget to make leaves with stems. To do this, you need to cut green colored paper, fold it in half and wind it onto a wooden skewer, and then remove it from it and you will get a beautiful curl. Take colored cardboard with pre-written words for mom and create a composition of flowers by gluing it to cardboard. As decorations, you can add all kinds of beads, sparkles and more.

Another amazing Mother’s Day gift can be a DIY jewelry box

Such a gift is not just a beautiful decoration, but a very useful thing in which you can store everything. anything. And the box is made using the scrapbooking technique. You can make a box yourself, or you can take a ready-made box and decorate it to your liking.

Wrapping paper, lace, guipure, satin ribbons, braid, buttons, costume jewelry that is no longer needed, beads, beads, sequins are needed for decoration. Also, to create a beautiful gift, you can make flowers from colored paper in advance, as described earlier. And when the box is ready, you can put an original mini postcard with warm words of congratulations inside.

You can also make it yourself, again from colored paper or cardboard, and also decorated with all kinds of flowers. leaves, beads, lace. Such a gift will definitely not leave mom indifferent. The birthday of Baba Tanya, my mother, is approaching. Gifts from adults have already been bought. But there is also a small member of the family (my son is 5 years old). For all the holidays together we are happy to make gifts ourselves , and it does not take much time. And in my spare time I decided to look for fresh ideas: what to do at gift for mom . It turned out that literally in 5 minutes with your own hands really create original things. We are leaving the ideas in the article for now, and when we make it, I will definitely post the result of our creations. By the way, these gift ideas are suitable not only for birthdays, but also for Mother’s Day and March 8th.

    Accordion bouquet

Take a sheet of colored paper (preferably two-sided) and fold it into an accordion. We draw roses on a separate sheet, cut them out and glue them to the green “stalks”. The bouquet is ready!

A wonderful tree as a present for mom!

On a sheet of brown (preferably two-sided) paper, draw a hand – outline your own palm. Cut and fold as shown in the picture. It turned out a tree. We also cut out multi-colored hearts from colored paper – these are leaves. At the bottom of the craft, you can attach a note with a declaration of love or warm wishes.

We chose this option as a birthday present for my mother. I think you can actually make it in 5 minutes. Very simple, original and beautiful craft! The result of our creations is at the end of the article.

    Postcard with flowers

We made such a gift last year for March 8 to all women we know. We fold half of the A4 color sheet in half. This is a postcard inside which you can write a beautiful congratulation to your mother. Then glue a rectangle – this is a vase. And the flowers are generally made easier than ever. They are circles of different sizes, glued on top of each other. Fast and easy! Photo – from the Internet. we also promise to post an example of our work later 😉

    Postcard with mimosa

Happy owners of hole punchers can also create such a cute postcard.

    Cacti

This craft will surely be appreciated by mothers who are happy to breed indoor flowers. Charming cacti are made from … ordinary pebbles. They are well washed and dyed green. You will also need a flower pot and other smaller pebbles – to simulate the soil in a pot.

    Snails in love

Such a souvenir will embody love for mother and warm relationships in the family.

Best gifts for Mother’s Day during quarantine

Many families will have to celebrate separately. Photo: stolicaonego.ru

Mothers are traditionally congratulated on the second Sunday of May both in post-Soviet countries and in the USA. But this year, Mother’s Day will be special: many will not be able to congratulate their relatives in person.

Thanks to delivery services, even at a distance, you can please your mother. That’s why Rubik has put together a few ideas for a holiday gift that can be made no matter the distance.

    Houseplants

Houseplants will last much longer than flowers. And now, when most people spend more time at home, decorating your home is a great idea.

    New hobby

Try to help your mother find a new hobby or contribute to one she already has. For example, some kind of collectible item, paints and brushes for drawing or something for needlework. This will help her take her mind off this stressful time. Think about what she likes to do.

    DIY gift

Perhaps you now have more free time and need to save money. This is a great chance to give mom a handmade item.

For example, print your favorite family photos and make an album. Or ask all your relatives to record a video with nice words for your mom and edit it. This gift will truly be remembered for a long time.

    Book

Books are a great way to take your mind off social media and relax. Think about what genre your mom prefers and choose one or more books for her. Now in many bookstores there are great discounts, so there is a chance to meet a small amount. You can also give her an e-book.

Here are some good options for books in different genres: “The Idea of You” by Robin Lee (romantic story), “Winter Garden” by Kristin Hanna (historical fiction), “The Perfect Mother” by Aimee Molloy (thriller, the book is in Russian translation ), “My Life So Far” by Jane Fonda (non-fiction), “Maybe You Should Talk to Someone” by Lori Gottlieb (non-fiction, the book is in Russian translation).

    Letter

Write your mother a paper letter. Very few people write letters these days, so they matter more than ever (especially if they’re beautifully designed). As with a DIY gift, you will put in the time and effort to write, which is especially valuable these days. If you have lost your job or are not getting paid, this will save you money. In addition, these are memories that will last for a long time.

    Online course or workshop

If your mom has long wanted to learn English or take up yoga, it’s time to give her online classes. In connection with the quarantine, it will be easier for her to attend courses, because she does not need to go anywhere. With this, you have more choice for a gift, as there is now an abundance of online activities.

    Sweets

Order a candy delivery or a cake for your mom – please her with sweets that she would not try on a normal day.

    A few more quarantine tips:

Be aware of delivery delays. Especially if it’s a popular item. According to the National Retail Federation, 64% of respondents plan to purchase flowers for Mother’s Day.

Many national flower delivery services are still accepting and delivering orders, but some websites are warning of potential delays.

Delivery on Mother’s Day can cost a pretty penny – at this time it becomes quite expensive. So always look for discounts or special offers.

    Support Small Businesses

Local businesses are especially in need of support during this time. If you decide to buy something for your mom, try to find it in your local store first. So you not only, perhaps, reduce the delivery time, but also do a good deed. Many stores are now very actively developing online activities and offer discounts.

    Homemade gifts for Mother’s Day

As an adult, I think more and more about my mother and what she sacrificed while raising four children. assignments, stopping fights, keeping homemade food on the table, and cleaning up a house full of energetic (and messy) kids, my mother managed to keep her sanity, her beauty, and her sense of humor.

    God bless her.

With less than two weeks left until Mother’s Day, it’s time to show mothers what they mean to us. If you can’t celebrate with your own mom, think of another woman in your life who deserves recognition for being a great mother.

Give a gift to the company

Unfortunately, now that I live 700 miles from my mother, I won’t be able to give my favorite gift… a little time spent laughing and celebrating her . If you live near your mother, grandmother, or sisters, consider hosting a special Mother’s Day event or planning a walk together. Everyone could be collected for…

    • Mother’s Day Brunch with breakfast casserole, candy bar or quiche and fruit. Don’t forget to put on the table the most girlish table setting and a centerpiece of freshly cut flowers or potted flowers, which mom can take with her. (Send the men to play together if you want this to be a girls-only event!)
    • Pedicure or Manicure – Sponsor a spa day at home for a more intimate and economical alternative. Do some foot baths and prepare an assortment of natural lotions and foot polishes for guests. Don’t forget to have mimosa ingredients and a selection of teas on hand in case anyone wants to take a sip while enjoying the “spa”!
    • City Day & Picnic – You can visit the local farmers market, shop for a little antique or shop at Mom’s favorite stores or take a scenic stroll in the nearby park. Then have a special picnic with snacks and a fruity drink served in fun cups .
    Great gift baskets

Who doesn’t love a set of goodies in a homemade gift basket? Mix up a few handmade or store-bought treats for a personalized gift for your mom.

    Gardening Mom

Replace your mom’s old rusty gardening tools with new floral designs that will make her smile as she digs in the ground. this she, hangs them near her back door because they are too pretty!) A new pair of gardening gloves or a homemade sugar scrub will work. take care of her garden hands! Place the gift in a tin watering can and tie a gorgeous bow before giving it to your mom.

    Flower lover

Fill a ceramic pot with a fun gift for mom. Include packets of organic seeds, a rich natural hand lotion, or a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Put in a set of organic herbal teas and a container of homemade jam with items to complete this gift.

    For the chef

Fill a wooden salad bowl with a few homemade dishes that mom can use in the kitchen. She might appreciate a collection of organic spices, vanilla beans, a great bottle of olive oil, or flavored vinegar. Bring wooden spoons, a knitted washcloth, hand-sewn cloth napkins, or a new oven mitt. Tie some twine around the top of the cinnamon sticks for a sweet-smelling gift that mom will love.

    Spa care

If your mom needs an easy escape from her busy life, prepare a DIY spa package for her. She can enjoy homemade soda bath bombs, salt or sugar scrubs, natural body butter, handmade solid perfumes, and a good book or magazine to read while relaxing. Wrap everything in a soft towel or silk scarf and tie with a thick ribbon.

    Recorded

Whether you live next door or a thousand miles from your mother, express your true feelings through a handwritten card or letter. I think there is nothing sweeter and more sincere than reflecting on what a person means to you and put it in writing.

Give your mom a postcard with your thoughts filling in the empty space, or pull out a forgotten stationery item and compose a beautiful letter. Old school? May be. Really significant? Absolutely.

Oh, and the fatter the better… For God’s sake, she changed your dirty diapers!

Want easy gifts that your kids can give to their moms? We have collected the best crafts for Mother’s Day for mom or grandmother with our own hands. We have everything from flower pots to leg art. And what’s the best? They are very easy to make for kids. Click here and check out our ideas. Which one will you choose?

Once when I was a child, my father was on a business trip for Mother’s Day. This meant we couldn’t go shopping for flowers to give Mom on her special day.

At that time, my brothers and I did not have the money to buy a present. However, I was determined to give my mother flowers no matter what.

I secretly stocked up and fashioned flowers out of paper napkins and straws. I remember dusting them with talcum powder to make them smell good! These were the strangest things, but I put all my love into these flowers.

Then, on Mother’s Day, I made my mother breakfast and gathered my brothers. We had breakfast in bed and gave her flowers. She answered as if it were the most exquisite bouquet in the world.

Many years later my mother remembered that day. She told me how she was touched by this gesture. Since my father was not at home, she didn’t expect to receive anything. A small bunch of plain paper flowers meant everything to her.

    Homemade gifts touch the heart

That’s the power of homemade gifts, isn’t it? They can be made from cheap materials and look definitely quirky. But they have a way of conveying deep love. It doesn’t matter how weird they are.

The best gifts I have received from my children are unusual handmade gifts. I still use the bookmark my son made me over 20 years ago. And I confess that I still treasure a few hand-printed gifts, lovingly crafted by my boys. They mean the world to me.

26 beautiful handmade gifts that kids can make themselves

So, I decided to search the Internet for Mother’s Day crafts that I could give my mom. I had two criteria

    • They were supposed to be something that children could make themselves
    • They were supposed to be made from readily available materials.

I found 25 Homemade gifts that I liked. Some connect fairly quickly, so they’re perfect for last-minute rushes. Others will take longer (mostly drying), so you’ll need to adjust your schedule accordingly.

Some projects are better suited for older children, but many can be completed by preschoolers. You know what your kids are capable of, so read the instructions and decide which projects are right for you.

Mother’s Day crafts with handprints, fingers and thumbs

Let’s face it, any gift that has handprints or fingerprints on it will always win. I saved a few things my boys gave me (now all adults). These are wonderful memories of childhood. Take a look at them.

Beautiful art that mom will love

Children love making art, so Mother’s Day crafts are a hit. The great thing about these designs is that they are very easy to make and very beautiful. Moms and grandmas will love them.

Mother’s Day Recycled Crafts for Mom

I’m a big fan of recycled crafts so I couldn’t resist these two brilliant ideas.

Practical and convenient gifts for mom

It’s always nice to get something homemade and practical. A pipe cleaner and a pop-pom crown are impractical. However, I knew it would be of interest to younger children and it didn’t fit anywhere else.

In any case, whatever you do for mom, this gift will remain the best and most beautiful for her. She will definitely keep such a craft, and remember this day with warmth.

Choose the kind of crafts for mom that you can handle. It can be paper work that is created with glue. If you take fabric for work, then the ability to sew will come in handy. Small children can make crafts from plasticine.

If you have beads or beads in stock, then jewelry would be a great gift option for mom. It can be beads or a necklace, as well as earrings and bracelets. If you have the patience for a set of jewelry, then do not forget to take care of the packaging. It can be made so original that you don’t want to open the gift.

Do not forget about simple and banal postcards, because they serve to write the warmest words for your loved one.

If mom has a lot of her jewelry, then you can make a beautiful stand for jewelry. Its manufacture does not take much time, and does not require a lot of materials.

A jewelry stand made from a wooden photo frame will look original. It needs to be painted in your mother’s favorite color, and a braid attached.

Many women like to decorate their home with different decorative elements. Therefore, such a gift as a cactus made of pebbles in a pot will be pleasant for them.

To make such a gift for mom on mother’s day, you will need a beautiful flower pot, stones of different sizes and shapes, green paint, white corrector, sand.

Paint each stone green, and then draw needles on the dried stones with a white corrector. Plant the pebbles in a pot, covered with sand.

How to make a gift for mother on mother’s day

Beautiful handmade fabric flowers will be a chic and durable gift for mother on mother’s day. Such flowers can be the same, or you can make them from different fabrics and assemble them into a beautiful bouquet. The design options for fabric tulips can also be different.

    Materials:
    • Flower Fabric
    • Green Leaf Fabric
    • Filler
    • Wire

Transfer all the details to the fabric and make as many copies as you want to make flowers.

The fabric for the tulip bud must be folded in half and cut out. We sweep this detail. The same process is necessary for the leaves and stem of the future tulip. Don’t forget to leave a hole to turn the pieces inside out. We sew all the details manually or on a typewriter.

Fill them with cotton wool or synthetic winterizer. Attach the buds to the wire that will act as the stem. To hide the wire, there is one more detail that we have already sewn and turned inside out earlier. All the details need to be fastened together with a hidden seam. Also attach a leaf to each flower, and soon your bouquet will be ready.

Do-it-yourself gift for mom from paper

You can also make a corrugated paper bouquet for mom. It looks no worse than a fabric bouquet. But from paper, the option is suitable for those who do not know how to sew at all. A variety of colored paper allows you to create incredible bouquets from different flowers.

    Gorgeous peonies

The season of these flowers starts in May and lasts almost all summer. But Mother’s Day is no longer held on summer days. Therefore, it will not be possible to give mother live peonies. To your rescue, stock up on colored corrugated paper.

    Materials:
    • Credided paper: pink, white, green, green
    • Scissors
    • Wire
    • Green Tape Coal

Cut the pink paper into squares in two sizes. There must be a total of 25 pieces.

Shape these squares into petals with scissors

Make 10 narrow strips and 10 wide strips from green paper. Let’s give them the shape of leaves, stretching a little.

A piece of wire must be wrapped with tape.

To make a peony bud, you need to carry out the following processes: lay out the small petals in a circle, fixing with a ribbon, then attach the large petals.

It remains to attach the leaves to the stems. Several of these peonies will make a chic bouquet.

    Rose with candy

For lovers of sweets, you can hide sweets in an original gift. For Mother’s Day, this would be the perfect surprise. It doesn’t take long to make a bouquet. If you carefully then pull out the candy, then such a bouquet can stand for a long time and delight your mother with a memory.

    Materials:
    • Corrugated paper
    • Candies
    • Foil
    • Wire
    • Green tape
    • Scissors

Cut paper into strips 6 cm wide. We cut each strip every 10 cm. In order to make petal blanks, round off two corners.

Wrap the round candy in foil and attach it to a wooden skewer, which will act as a stalk.

Next, wrap the core with prepared pieces of paper. Each of them should envelop a ball of foil.

Attach each petal with a thread.

Attach the next petal in the same way, only opposite the previous one.

Also stretch out three more strips for the petals and attach them to the bud.

The edges of the petals can be slightly stretched to make them wavy. So the flower will appear more magnificent.

This is how the finished bud will look like from the side

To decorate the bud, cut off a piece of green paper and cut it out with cloves. Glue it to the base of the bud, hiding the winding with a thread. Cut out a long strip of green paper to wind the wire for the stalk.

We begin to wrap the green strip around the bottom of the bud, continuing along the wire previously attached to the bottom of the bud. Cut out leaves from green paper and attach them to the stem

    Bouquet of poppies with sweets

This bouquet looks more original than the usual bouquet of roses due to its design. Delicious sweets will also be hidden in poppies, a joy for the sweet tooth.

    Materials:

    • corrugatedum
    • tape
    • Wire
    • TAP-tape
    • Scissors

    • Nippers
    • wooden skewers
    • Bows

    • Decorative

    9000

and cut a thin ribbon of 25 cm each piece.

From corrugated paper we make pieces 18*12 cm. We need them to wrap sweets.

Tie the blanks with a ribbon and attach to the wire with a teip tape.

We make 7 poppies, spreading the edges on the flowers for splendor.

Attach the flowers to the wire with tape. You can also add greens for decoration. Wrap the flowers in wrapping paper and decorate with a bow.

    DIY gift for Mother’s Day

On the eve of such a wonderful holiday as Mother’s Day, you need to take care of a gift. It is not difficult to make a gift for Mother’s Day with your own hands. You don’t have to have a big budget to make a worthwhile gift. Mothers value the attention and love of children most of all. And it’s not at all difficult to show this, it’s enough to spend a few evenings in creativity.

    Materials:
    • Bank of any form
    • Flowers
    • Figures of plastic
    • adhesive pistol
    • 9000 side cover flowers and figurines with glue.

You can attach the figurine to the string and attach the string to the lid. When the lid is turned over, the figurine will be in flight in the bottle. This will give originality to such a craft.

Fill the jar with water, about 2 cm short of the rim. Can be topped with glitter and confetti.

Screw on the cap making sure it is well fixed. Decorate the lid with green paper.

Mother’s Day Playdough Gifts for Kindergarten

Children love to play with playdough, so it’s good to turn that passion into a beautiful gift for mom.

Such a plasticine cake can be made in an hour. But he looks bright and cute. Any mother will like that the child took care of her and decided to feed her with a delicious dessert, albeit not a real one.

It would be quite symbolic to make such crafts from plasticine. A nest with chicks symbolizes mother’s care for children.

The nest is made of brown plasticine. One part in the form of a circle is flat and two parts need to be made in the form of tubes. Twist between each other, imitating weaving. Attach the pigtail to the bottom of the nest. Chicks are made from ovals rolled from yellow plasticine.

      Mother’s Day gift: middle group

Children in the middle and senior kindergarten groups can already handle scissors, so it is quite possible for them to make a beautiful bouquet of colored paper for their mother’s share.

We make an accordion from a green sheet of paper.

We measure the middle and glue together. We’ll get a fan.

Draw flowers on white paper and cut them out.

You can draw beautiful tulips on red paper

Glue flowers on the green fan

      Original gifts to mom

Of course, the main goal of this holiday is to remind mothers about their motherhood happiness, allow children to allow children once again show your feelings. And how nice it will be if they are backed up with a beautiful and original gift for mom on Mother’s Day.

For a beautiful woman, jewelry will never be superfluous. Therefore, you can make a simple, but such a stylish necklace or bracelet.

This version of the necklace will suit extravagant women.

To make it you will need:

tape, chain, carabiner, rings, pliers, glue.

Glue the edge of the tape to the first ring of the chain and wrap it around. We will carry out the same procedure on the other side of the chain.

You can connect the parts of the jewelry with the help of rings, and don’t forget about the clasp in the form of a carabiner.

From such a gift, mother will not only be happy, but you will see joy in her eyes and tears of happiness. Reading every note, mom will think and remember that she gave birth to the best son or daughter who is not stingy with words in her direction.

You can make such a jar in any form, as well as the words inside. Decorate it with colored decor elements, beads, sparkles, ribbons.

If your mother doesn’t eat sweets, but what’s a holiday without a cake, then you can make a cake out of colored cardboard. Each piece can carry a pleasant surprise.

You can make a lamp with your own hands. To do this, you will need a little skill and a few light bulbs. We do not recommend doing this on your own, because you can use your dad or grandfather for this work.
