evaporation

the process by which a liquid changes to a gas or vapor.

freezing rain

precipitation that falls as rain and freezes when it hits the ground or other surfaces

the amount of water vapor in the air.

hurricane

ozone layer

The protective layer in the atmosphere, about 15 miles above the ground, that absorbs some of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, thereby reducing the amount of potentially harmful radiation that reaches the earth’s surface.

the falling to earth of any form of water (rain or snow or hail or sleet or mist)

a device to measure humidity
