Free Pre-K Qualifications:

Students can qualify for free Pre-K if they meet one of the following criteria:

1. Limited English proficient 
2. Economically disadvantaged
3. Homeless 
4. A child of an active duty member of the United States armed forces
5. A child of a member of the United States armed forces who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
6. A child in foster care (presently or in the past)
7. A child of a recipient of the Star of Texas Award

During the enrollment process, you will work with the school to qualify for free Pre-K.

Pre-K Scholarship

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD strives to support our youngest learners! The district awards a limited number of Pre-K Scholarships based on an application and lottery basis. Students who do not traditionally qualify for free Pre-K but fall within a designated income bracket will be eligible to apply for the scholarship and enter the lottery. PreK Scholarship applications will be reviewed and awarded the second week of school.

Students who attend CFBISD’s Pre-K program have demonstrated higher levels of academic achievement than students who do not attend. With the scholarship program, CFBISD is increasing students’ access to a high-quality Pre-K program with certified and specially trained teachers. We are excited to provide this opportunity to students in our community.

The application opens Friday, April 15 and closes Friday, August 5.

In Ukraine, the dispersal of hundreds of students on the Maidan in 2013 ended with the fact that millions of people took to the Maidan throughout the country and threw off power.

It is already clear to everyone that Putin started a war against the whole world and how the war against the whole world will end for the Russian Federation is understood by everyone except the Russians.

All politicians in the Russian Federation say that Europeans and Americans are disrespectful to Russians, but the Russian government does not consider its people to be people at all.
There are many smart people among Russian soldiers who understand that even if the Russian Federation wins, Putin will not stop in Ukraine and now Russian soldiers will have to fight for the rest of their lives.

Explain to them that the only way to save the Russian Federation from collapse and save your life, the lives of your relatives and Russian citizens is to quit your service right now, take sick leave or vacation …

The reasons why Putin seized Crimea, sent troops to the Donbass and now to Ukraine, sound so stupid that the whole world thinks Putin is crazy.
But for a Russian person who blindly believes that the torch is a symbol of Nazism, and the torch passage is a manifestation of Nazism in Ukraine, apparently this is enough to start a war.
The torch is used at the Olympic Games, it is on many Soviet monuments and is a symbol of blessed memory of the dead, a symbol of knowledge and enlightenment.

no one wants to die for some kind of LDNR.
More and more Russians understand that information in Russian news is presented in a way that is beneficial to the authorities, and not in the way it really is,
that Nazism never existed in Ukraine (every 5 years the president and power change there), and all this news was invented by politicians.

Those who want to voluntarily kill Ukrainians in the war seem to have already ended.

Putin cleared Russia of murderers a little, the time has come for fools and criminals who will agree to fight after forced mobilization.
Well, citizens, alcoholics, parasites, hooligans, who wants to make war in Ukraine?
It seems that everyone who had combat experience in the kitchen or near the beer store is now waiting for mobilization, but the military commissars also want to earn money and send agendas to everyone in a row.
Everyone thought that the military would do everything without them, but now when you yourself have to go to war or send children, husbands, fathers, brothers, friends and other close people to war, almost no one supports mobilization in Russia.

Moreover, it is very similar to the fact that the Russian authorities themselves carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory in order to somehow justify their missile attacks on Ukraine.

So substitute your military and say that only the Russian government can win this.
It seems that Putin understands that his troops can overthrow him, so
he sends all the military, whom he doubts, to Ukraine, while he himself hides in an unknown place.
How much longer the Russian army will endure its power is unknown, but Russia’s international disgrace is assured.
Whether Putin will be forgiven by his military for this shame, time will tell, but Putin will now remember the folk wisdom “Do not dig a hole for another, otherwise you will fall into it yourself” for a long time.

Well, we all need to get better.
Unfortunately, our generation was not smart enough to avoid this war, but I really want to believe that there will be enough intelligence to create such a security system in the world so that the war will never happen again anywhere,
and also to create such a system of governance in the world that it does not have politicians, money and everything that provokes wars, violence and evil.

What is mental arithmetic?

The primary task of the course in mental arithmetic is the comprehensive development of the brain, and a developed brain copes with tasks more successfully, which leads to an increase in school performance in all subjects.

How long is the course for preschoolers/schoolers?

Mental arithmetic course for preschool children lasts from 5 months (for 6.5-5.5 years old) to 6 months for (4.5-5.5 years old). This stage is called the preparatory stage. Lessons are held once a week for 1.5 hours with breaks every 30 minutes. Possible option twice a week for 60 minutes. Classes are held in a fun way. After completing this stage, children move on to the book of the 1st stage, then to the 2nd stage, etc., but the duration of the course will be longer than for schoolchildren.

Students start right from the first step, the standard mental arithmetic course consists of 5 steps, during which children learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers. Further, those who wish can continue their studies at 6-10 levels for the Olympiad levels (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractional numbers, derivation of a square root).

Depending on the level of the group, the first stage is studied for about 6 months, the second stage – about 3 months, the third stage – about 3-4 months, the fourth stage – about 3-4 months.

Will a child get confused at school in mathematics lessons?

In the course of mental arithmetic, as well as in school mathematics, they study numbers in the form of units, tens, thousands, etc., in one place you can dial from 0 to 9. However, here the child represents the images of these numbers, and not just an abstract spelling of them. Moreover, it is not necessary to consider this method in school. A student who attends a mental arithmetic course is like an athlete who works out in the gym and pumps up his muscles through physical exercises. In our case, we are training the brain by learning another way of counting.

What sections is the course divided into?
