WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH
We’re glad you came!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
I am so glad that you have taken the time to visit our website!
Our fall is off to a good start. We hope that you would consider joining us! Our worship service is at 10:00 am. Throughout this year we are studying the letter to the Ephesians. It has been such an encouragement to read how different life is when we live our lives “In Christ” as Paul describes it in this letter. Every week after our service we offer refreshments in our Fellowship Hall featuring high quality coffee from local coffee shops and homemade treats made by our church members. Combine all this together, and those joining us leave refreshed in their faith and ready for the week ahead.
We are a mask-friendly community, yet many are now worshipping with us without masking. Face coverings and hand sanitizing stations are located at each entrance. You can click on the livestream link under Watch at the top of this page to join us for Sunday worship at 10 am if you are staying away from large group gatherings, but we would love to see you in-person as soon as possible! If you are visiting in person for the first time, park in the large parking area behind the church and enter through the red doors. If you have mobility issues, please feel free to park in the front circle lot. Nursery and Children’s Church are available during the service – just ask where when you arrive.
Our church loves Jesus and loves one another. We also want our community and the world to know about how deeply God loves them! Hope you can join us on a coming Sunday. Let me know if you have any questions at [email protected].

nine0000 Trinity Church in the form of a triangle in the village of Bolshaya Svorotva
In the Baranovichi region, in the village of Bolshaya Svorotva , there is a unique Church of the Holy Trinity , made in the shape of a triangle . As you understand, such architecture is non-canonical and atypical for Christianity. There are no similar churches not only in Belarus, but probably throughout Europe, which makes this object only more interesting.
The first mention of the town Bolshaya Svorotva belong to the middle of the 15th century, as the possessions of the Khreptovich family . Then these lands passed from one noble family to another, but in this chain it is important to single out Nezabytovsky .
It was during Yakub Nezabytovsky in 1823 that the triangular church was built in Bolshoy Svorotva. It is noteworthy that on the site where this temple stands, there was previously a similar wooden building, dated 1747 .
How did the idea of building such an unusual temple come about?
There are several versions. One of the most logical and weighty is ecumenical (* in this case means the equality of the religious denominations of Christianity ). All the same, the church was built as Uniate and had three equivalent entrances with a common altar. There is an assumption that such an architectural decision had a specific meaning – to unite people . That is, believers (Catholics, Uniates and Orthodox) could enter from their own separate entrance, but turn to God in front of one altar. nine0003
Of course there is a mystical version of the building – Masonic mission . As you remember, the triangle is a symbol of Freemasonry, so the temple in such forms willy-nilly evokes comparisons and analogies. In addition, the temple was consecrated in honor of the Holy Trinity .
The simplest and most banal version of construction comes down to the fact that temple in Bolshaya Svorotva is not at all unique. The 18th century is the heyday of the baroque and experiments in architecture. Therefore, there is an opinion that this church is a modest copy of European places of worship. The only caveat, even a Google search refuses to give out similar temples, so this theory looks unlikely. nine0003
Less visible architectural features include the interior layout. The main volume of the church is occupied by a hexagonal room with an altar in the center, which adjoins as many as 3 sacristies of equal size. (usually there are 2 or 1 of them)
In 1939, the Nezabytovsky estate in Bolshaya Svorotova was nationalized, and during the Second World War the church was destroyed. The truth remains a mystery who exactly.
