Track Out Camps | Year Round School

Go on new adventures all year with YMCA Track Out Camps. Our Track Out Camps serve Wake County year-round and modified calendar schools.

YMCA Track Out Camps are the perfect place for your year-round student to find friendships, think creatively, build confidence, learn new skills, stay active and have fun in a safe environment.

Program Information

YMCA Track Out Camp sessions are offered for any year-round school. The program operates at our YMCAs in Wake County. Each day children spend time swimming, playing games, participating in sports and arts and crafts.

Children are grouped together by age and grade and spend the day with their peers and YMCA youth staff and counselors. There is plenty of outside time, STEM activities and active fun to keep your child engaged all day long.

YMCA Track Out Camp operates from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. and is offered for ages 5 – 14, kindergarten through grade 8. The Northwest Cary YMCA Track Out Camp program starts at 7:30 a. m.

Sessions

Track Out Camp is offered in weekly sessions based on the multi-track calendar. Most weeks are five days and some are shorter if there are holidays or teacher workdays. Each break is approximately three weeks. Each Track Out session has a different theme and activities are based on the theme.

Sample Daily Agenda

My 8-year old son LOVES this camp. Sometimes we arrive a tad early and he’s peeking through the window excitedly until they open the doors 🙂 He’s attended the “Glorious Goop” camp and “Science Adventures” and always comes home something he’s proud of making. He tells me stories about how much fun he had with this friends and the counselors as well. Great camp! – He’ll be back 🙂

Jessica

My daughter attended a week of summer camp at Over the Moon, and had an absolute blast! She loved the play space, and the variety of fun, STEM-based activities each day. The instructors/counselors that I interacted with were all pleasant, organized and seemingly beloved by the children they worked with. Highly recommend.

Christopher

We enrolled our Kindergartener at Over The Moon for his first ever track out camp. It was AMAZING. So organized and well done, great communication, and he had the best time. We will definitely be back for more camps and open play!

Hallie

I can’t say enough about how fabulous this camp is! My 7yo son has done 3 different camps, all different themes, and LOVED every one of them! This is by far the most quality education and fun we’ve experienced at a camp. He comes home with very impressive things he’s made from art (which he usually hates, but quite enjoyed here!) […] It’s also a nice mix of engaged learning, hands on activities, outside time, and indoor play in their amazing interactive play space. […]
