This is a great facility

My child has been going to The Early Years for 3 years and we have had nothing but exceptional care and communication from the teachers and staff. They are truly concerned with the children’s well being and safety as well as keeping the parents apprised of what is happening on a daily basis. The owner and directors stay very involved with what is going on in the individual rooms and can address any issues or concerns a parent may have. They also have a great pre-school program.

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommendedLaura Suria and the staff at The Early Years are phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about them. They are attentive, kind, genuinely care about the kids & parents and make you feel as though this is a “home away from home” for the kids. We have been sending out child here for years. There is secured passcode entry, cctv, and very attentive staff. I can come in at any time and see my child. She has fun while learning and loves going here. During the few times I have seen a child have a fit, Laura and the staff are great. They have amazing patience, help to quietly calm the child, and help redirect them in positive ways to get them back in track. In all the years we have come here, we have never heard anyone raise their voice or do anything of concern. I leave each day thankful we have this place for our daughter. Great place for children

The Early Years is an awesome school to send anyone’s children, they include food, art, and reading time throughout the day so the kids get a switch up from a basic learning routine. It appears to be a really good environment and my kids seem to be happy therefore I am happy with the school.

    History

    005

Until 1700, the Marissa area was inhabited by various Indian tribes. Among them were Kaskassky, Peorias, Cahokias, Iroquois and Michigans. However, probably the most common in the immediate area were the Tamaroa. A settlement is known to have existed south of the Marissa Cemetery, on a hill at 321 Doza Creek Road, as many artifacts have been discovered over the years. In addition, the remains of the path along which the tribes traveled to the east and west are still preserved. Evidence of this can still be seen north of the house at 132 Doza Creek Road. A three-foot-deep trench running through the woods was used for walking and horseback riding, some pulling sleighs carrying their belongings. In the early 1700s, settlers first appeared in the region. French hunters and trappers traveled to the area in search of abundant game. One of the first was Elekse Doza, who gave his surname to the stream that is south of the village.

The first settlers arrived here around 1805. John Lively moved his family here from South Carolina and built a log cabin about two miles east of Marissa, off Risdon School Road. A second family moved to the area four years later, and others followed. The invasion of Indian lands began, and, as one would expect, conflicts began to emerge. Because of the hostilities, the settlers built small wooden forts that gave them a place to retreat when the threat of attack loomed. One was built on Dose Creek about ¼ mile north of where the Risdon School Road crosses it. According to reports, at the beginning of 19In the 60s, the crumbling remains of the fort still existed, but were destroyed by mining. The steady stream of settlers continued, and in 1818 Illinois was granted statehood. The first elementary school opened in the area in 1831.

From the late 1800s to the present day, thermal coal mining has been one of the largest local industries. Currently, most of the coal mined here is burned to generate electricity.

      History

Located on the Ohio River, the Metropolitan area has been inhabited by many different peoples throughout history. For thousands of years, different cultures Native Americans have settled the area. The most complex society was the Mississippian culture, which reached its peak around 1100 AD and built a large city at Cahokia, near the Mississippi River and presently Collinsville, Illinois, north across from St. Louis, Missouri. His people built large earthworks and related structures, many of which have been preserved and protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The regional centers of Mississippian culture developed in the Ohio and lower Mississippi valleys, where the rivers were part of the widespread trade routes used to exchange with other cultures.

In 1757, Massac County was settled by a French expedition who built Fort de L’Ascension for use during the French and Indian War against the British (the war is also known as the Seven Years’ War, which took place mainly in Europe). The fort’s garrison was able to resist Cherokee attack during the war. The defeated French later abandoned the fort and many moved west of the Mississippi River to avoid British rule. When the victorious British colonists arrived to take control of the territory ceded to the French, the Chickasaw had already destroyed the fort.

In time for the American Revolutionary War Mostly French residents of the city sympathized with the rebels. Later, in 1794, President George Washington ordered Fort Massac rebuilt at a strategic location high above the Ohio River. The fort was seriously damaged by the 1811–12 New Madrid earthquake. Rather than rebuild the building, the US military abandoned the site in 1814 as its forces were needed further west. Local settlers collected timber and left little of the original building materials.

This part of the state was settled mainly by migrants from the Upper South, and many of them were slaves with them. Years after Illinois was recognized as a free state, all such slaves were freed.

City of Metropolis was founded in 1839 near Fort Massac by a Pittsburgh merchant and local landowner; both envisioned the Ohio River site as a transportation hub, and chose a fittingly grandiose name. [4] In 1843, the Illinois State Legislature formed Massack County. The McCartney family became leaders in the construction of the city of Metropolis.

In the early years of the American Civil War, soldiers camped nearby. Although Illinois was founded as a free state, this part had many supporters of the south. Despite this background, during the war the state remained with the Union.

During the twentieth century, agriculture continued to be the engine of the region’s economy. The government’s authorization of gambling on riverboats has led to Metropolis becoming the site of the Metropolis Harra casino/hotel, a riverside casino frequented by visitors from all over the region. Tourism is one of the city’s largest industries. [ citation needed ]

Metropolis is also the site of Honeywell’s Uranium Hexafluoride Processing Plant, which converts milled uranium into uranium hexafluoride for nuclear reactors. [5]

      Proposal for “Western DC”

1850 map showing proposed Western DC across the Ohio River at Metropolis. Modern maps do not show “Capitol” on the Kentucky side.

Prior to the American Civil War, some groups worked to create the western district of Columbia to include present-day Metropolis and the nearby Kentucky area. An 1850 map illustrates this proposal.

      According to the 2010 Census, Metropolis has a total area of 5,982 square miles (15.49 km2). 2 ), of which 5.87 square miles (15.20 km 2 ) (or 98.13%) is land and 0.112 square miles (0.29 km 2 ) (or 1.87%) – water. [7]

      Alhambra Creek – Alhambra Creek

This article is about the Alhambra Creek and the Alhambra Valley at Martinez in Northern California. For the city in Los Angeles County, see Alhambra, California

The stream enters the Carquines Strait at Martinez, through the historic Arroyo del Hambre . The Alhambra bay and its valley take their name from Cañada del Hambre, Spanish for “valley of hunger”, apparently due to some unknown incident involving starving Spanish soldiers. The name appears on Disños repeatedly and appears on the 1842 lot, Rancho Cañada del Hambre and Las Bolsas. Although formally the Alhambra Creek refers only to the upper section of 2 miles (3 km), and the US Board of Geographic Names in 1943 year confirmed Arroyo del Hambre as the name of the lower stream, Mrs. John Strenzel, John Muir’s mother-in-law, did not like the name and she renamed the lower stream also Alhambra Creek. [2] [3] The entire creek is now generally referred to as the Alhambra creek, and the Arroyo del Hambre creek and Franklin creek are considered its two tributaries.

The watershed of Alhambra Creek covers about 16.5 square miles (43 km). 2 ) in the northern part of the central district of Contra Costa and covers part of the city of Martinez. The combined branches flow through the Briones Valley, valleys containing open space, wildlife habitat, residential and commercial areas, through downtown Martinez and then empty into the Carquines Strait through the tidelands into the Martinez Regional Shore. [4]

      Heading

Alhambra Creek originates in Briones Hills, in Briones Regional Park. Water flows from a tunnel in the hillside. This tunnel was built many years ago to try and get into what speculators thought was a vast underground river that originated in the Sierras. It was believed that the lagoons on the crest of Briones are huge underground reservoirs of water. This “water mother vein” turned out to be illusory, so the tunnel was abandoned.

The linear distance from the source to the mouth of the Alhambra stream is about 6 miles (10 km). For the first 2 miles (3 km), the Alhambra Creek descends from about 1,100 feet (300 m) to 200 feet (60 m). It is joined at this point by the Arroyo del Hambre stream, rising at an elevation of about 900 feet (300 m), 3 miles (5 km) to the west. The Arroyo del Hambre stream is joined by several tributaries, including the Vaca stream, which joins the Alhambra stream. Franklin Creek joins the Alhambra stream about 2 miles (3 km) below the confluence of the Alhambra and Arroyo del Hambre streams. Franklin Creek drains an underwater watershed about the same size as the combined basins of the Upper Alhambra and del Hambre. It originates about 5 km northwest of its confluence with the Alhambra and flows southeast through Franklin Canyon, then curves north to flow through John Muir National Historic Site and joins Alhambra Creek between Walnut Avenue and the Alhambra -Way. There are no reservoirs and no heavy industry on the watershed. The refinery is located just behind the ridge to the east, and two railroads and a freeway cross the watershed. [4]

In 2006, golden California male and female beaver arrived at Alhambra Creek in downtown Martinez. [5] Beavers built a dam 30 feet (9 m) wide and at one time 6 feet (2 m) high and gnawed through half of the willows and other green stream banks that were planted by the city as part of its territory. US$9.7 million 1999 Flood relief project. The city council wanted to remove the beavers due to flood fears, ironically since the worst flooding since the flood control project was in 2005, two years before the beavers arrived. Local residents organized to protect them, forming an organization called Worth dam . [6] [ citation needed ] The solution involved installing a flow pipe across the beaver dam to keep the water level in the pond from rising. Now protected, the beavers have turned the Alhambra stream from a stream into numerous dams and beaver ponds, which in turn has led to the return of many birds. steelhead trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ) and river otter ( Lontra canadensis ) in 2008 and mink ( Neovison vison ) in 2009. [7] [8] Examples of beaver exposure as keystones in 2010 include green heron (Butorides virescens ) catching tulle perch (Hysterocarpus traskii traskii ), the first recorded sighting of perch in the bay Alhambra and December arrival of a pair of hooded crohan ( Lophodytes cucullatus ) (see photo). Beaver parents have given birth to cubs every year since their arrival in 2006. [9] However, in June 2010, having given birth and successfully weaned triplets that year (and a quadruple in the previous three years), “mother Beaver” died of natural causes. [10]

In November 2009, the Martinez City Council approved the placement of an 81-tile wildlife mural on the Escobar Street Bridge. The mural was created by schoolchildren and donated to Dam stands to perpetuate the memory of beavers and other representatives of the Alhambra Creek fauna. [11]

Martinez beavers probably originated from the Sacramento-Delta of the San Joaquin River. Historically before the California Fur Race In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the Delta probably hosted the largest concentration of beaver in North America. It was the early California fur trade, more than any other factor, that opened the West, and the San Francisco Bay Area in particular, to world trade. The Spanish, French, British, Russians, and Americans were involved in the fur trade in California until 1825, catching huge numbers of beaver, river otter, marten, fisherman, mink, fox, weasel, fur seal, and sea otter. As the coastal and oceanic fur industry began to decline, the focus shifted to California’s inland fur resources. Between 1826 and 1845 The Hudson’s Bay Company sends annual shipments from Fort Astoria and Fort Vancouver to the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys as far south as French Camp on the San Joaquin River. These trapping expeditions must have been extremely lucrative to justify the long overland journeys each year. It turns out that the golden beaver (castor canadensis, subspecies: subauratus) was one of the most valuable of the hunted animals and, apparently, was found in large numbers. Thomas McKay reported that a year later, the Hudson’s Bay Company removed 4,000 beaver skins on the shores of San Francisco Bay. At the time, these skins were selling for US$2.50 pounds or about US$4.00 each. Incidentally, it was in the Delta region where McKay had such success that he probably had such success, and not in the bay itself. [12] In 1840, explorer Captain Thomas Farnham wrote that beavers were very numerous at the mouths of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers and on hundreds of small “reedy” islands. Farnham, who has traveled extensively in North America, said, “There is probably no place of equal size on the entire continent of America that has so many of these much sought-after animals.” [13]

      Human History and Development

Approximately 8,000 years ago, the Native Americans (Mivok and Kostanoan) hunted, fished, and foraged in the interior hills and wetlands associated with the Alhambra Creek. The use of deliberately bred forest fires has become a common practice to maximize land productivity for hunting and seed collection. However, by the end of the 18th century, this way of life began to fade as the first waves of Spanish settlers moved into the Bay Area. This was the beginning of 200 years of rapid change as the entire Gulf was transformed from a sparsely populated native area to a heavily managed densely populated urban environment. The Arroyo del Hambre (Alhambra stream) and its tributaries are within two major Mexican land grants that were established in the early to mid 19century. The town of Martinez at the mouth of the watershed was part of the Pinole Rancho, owned by the Martinez family. A large intertidal wetland at the creek’s mouth still exists, although it has been greatly reduced in size. The city was founded in 1849 on 120 acres (0.49 km 2 ) along the creek floodplain and has since experienced many moderate to severe seasonal floods. Further down the watershed, the Briones family owned the Briones Valley Ranch (a land grant in 1852), part of which is now Briones Regional Park 5,200 acres (21 km 2 ). Cattle ranching was the predominant land use in the watershed during the early years of settlement, followed by orchards and vineyards on the richer soils of the Alhambra Valley. By 1920, an average of 150 wagonloads of pears, 30 wagonloads of grapes, and 20 wagonloads of apricots and plums were shipped annually, making the Alhambra Valley one of the largest commercial pear orchards of its time. [14]

The John Muir National Historic Site, located in Martinez, California, preserves the 14-room mansion where naturalist and author John Muir lived, as well as about 325 acres (1.3 km 2 ) a patch of oak forests and meadows that historically belonged to the Muir family. The main site is on the outskirts of the city, in the shadow of State Route 4, also known as “John Muir Parkway”. The mansion was built in 1883 by an outstanding physician and horticulturist Dr. John Strenzel, Muir’s father-in-law, with whom Muir became a partner, running his 2,600-acre (11 km 2 ) fruit ranch.

Upper Watershed was the original source for Alhambra 9 Bottled Water Company0008 . Around 1897, Lauren M. Lascell purchased 300 acres (1.2 km 2 ) in Vaka Canyon on the upper road of the Alhambra Valley. There were hot sulfur springs, clean springs and a small resort. In 1902, Mr. Lascell built a 2-inch galvanized pipe from the source to the bottling plant in downtown Martinez across from the train station, about 6 miles (10 km). Thus the Alhambra Water Company was born. As the business grew, glass wagons were used to haul water to bottling plants in Oakland and San Francisco. Today, the water of the Alhambra comes from somewhere else.

Residential development spread from downtown Martinez up the watershed: in the 1920s it reached the valley to Highway 4, in the 1960s it spread south of Highway 4 and up to the Alhambra Valley, and in the 1980s and 1990s ‘s, she moved to the hills. in the upper watershed.

      Geology

The geology of the Alhambra Creek watershed has shaped and continues to shape the landscape. The original bedrock of the area was deposited as layers of sand and mud in the deep ocean. Over time, from almost 100 million years ago to 10 million years ago, layers of sediment accumulated, were buried, compressed and turned into rocks. Later, these rocks were piled up and blasted, and the hills of the eastern bay were uplifted. As the hills rose, erosion cut through the rocks, carving valleys in the soft shales and turning the harder sandstones into hills. The Briones Formation and several other geological units share seashell fossils, which tells us that they began as layers of sand in a shallow sea. The Martinez Formation is named after the city. The Hambre Formation is named after the Arroyo del Hambre stream. Probably the most dramatic human-made geologic change is the widening of the creek floodplain into the bay, with the result that virtually all of the land is now north of Main Street. It formed from the huge volumes of sediment flowing down the Sacramento River from hydraulic mining in the Sierra Nevada during the California Gold Rush, and probably increasing runoff from the Alhambra Creek itself. Maps from 1850 show the coastline meandering between Main and Escobar streets. Along the Alhambra stream on Escobar street at 19In 98, runoff eroded the stream bank, exposing fresh, unweathered sand and silt about 10 feet (3 m) thick, likely reflecting deposits from the gold rush era. The entire area to the north is also new earth deposited at the mouth of the stream. [4]

      Habitat and conservation

Western Grebe (right) and Clark’s Grebe (left) swimming in a beaver pond slopes and Californian annual grasslands on drier high ridges and slopes facing west and south. The most common trees found in oak forests are coastal oak, blue oak, vale oak, California bay laurel, toyon, and horse eye. In these forests, many other plants grow under the trees, forming an undergrowth. These plants include many native and introduced grasses, herbaceous-forb grasses and small shrubs. Among the most common native understory plants are purple needle grass, soft checker grass, California yarrow, and poison oak. Native grasses that have evolved over millions of years once dominated the grasslands of California. But changes in the frequency and intensity of fires, the introduction of competitive grasses from the lands surrounding the Mediterranean, and changes in the way animals graze pastures have led to a complete change in the species composition of our pastures. Now annual grasses imported from Europe dominate the grasslands of California, while native grasses cover only a small part of the pasture area. The pastures of the watershed of the Alhambra stream also grow with many wildflowers. Many of these wildflowers grow best with moderate grazing by wildlife and livestock.

Reindeer use dense forests for food, shelter and shade. Coyotes and mountain lions prey on deer. A vast number of bird species use trees and shrubs for food, shelter, and nesting habitat. Skunks and raccoons also live in coastal oak forests, feeding on small mammals (such as mice), insects, and vegetation. The coastal oak forests of the Alhambra Creek watershed also contain at least one mountain lion, which feeds on the deer living there. One commonly used feeding site is near the Carkinez Scenic Road, west of the watershed line. The ground squirrel is a key species in annual grasslands, serving as an important food source for the coyote, red-tailed hawk, kestrel, and golden eagle.

Along the coastal corridor of Alhambra Creek, trees such as willows, poplars, sycamores, large-leaved maples and valley oaks dominate the coastal areas. Many shrubs grow under the trees, including elderberry, California blackberry, and California rose. The American beaver has recently colonized the Alhambra stream and is a key species as its ponds are home to steelhead trout and other fish, birds, otters and minks. Historically, the Alhambra Creek likely supported salmon and steelhead populations, which was typical of the free-flowing creeks of the Bay Area. The Martinez Packing Company was founded in 1882 and was in the business of canning and shipping about 350 crates of salmon a day. The local commercial fishery flourished with the huge salmon fisheries in the Sacramento/San Joaquin River system.

Coastal marshes are another type of plant community found at the mouth of the Alhambra stream. Above the swamp, salted herbs and pickled herbs predominate. These areas are home to the state and federally listed salt marsh mouse. A number of shorebirds also nest in the coastal marsh community. They build their nests on the ground, as no trees can survive in salty soil. This is why dogs are not allowed in the Martinez Regional Bank at the mouth of the Alhambra stream. [4]

Californians used to roam the area. grizzly bear ( Ursus arctos horribilis , subspecies: california ) and black bear ( Ursus americanus ). Black bear sightings in the upper watershed near Bear Creek Road were common until the 1930s and 1940s. However, by the 1950s, all bears were thought to have disappeared from the region. However, in 1965, the bear was hit by a car and killed on San Pablo Dam Road. The memory of this last bear in Contra Costa is now preserved in the form of a bearskin on the floor of a ranch in the area. [ WHO? ]

Watershed protection began in earnest in 1997 when the Alhambra Creek Watershed Council was formed to develop the Alhambra Creek Watershed Management Plan (2001). The group’s mission is to protect and promote the health of the Alhambra Creek watershed by educating the public about the watershed, acting as a community resource and providing a forum for new ideas and projects. By representing the interests of various stakeholders and promoting healthy natural systems, AWC is committed to the health and vitality of the entire watershed community. The county, Friends of Alhambra Creek, the National Park Service, Muir Heritage Land Trust, residents, the Martinez Planning Commission, and the Alhambra Valley Improvement Association are all active participants.

Interstate 70 ( I-70 ) is part of the interstate highway system that runs from Fort Cove, Utah to Baltimore, Maryland. In the US state of Illinois, the Interstate Highway runs 160 miles (260 km) from the Missouri State Line on the Mississippi River in east Brooklyn to the Indiana State Line near Marshall. I-70, which runs through the state in a generally east-northeast direction parallel and sometimes concurrent with US 40 (US 40), connects St. Louis and the Illinois Metro East region to the Indiana cities of Terre Haute and Indianapolis., as well as many small towns along the northern edge of Southern Illinois and the southern tier of the Central Illinois region. Within Metro East, I-70 has interchanges with I-64 in East St. Louis and I-55 near Troy. I-70 also has interchanges with two Interstates that form the St. Louis Beltway: I-255 near Collinsville and I-270 at the I-55 junction near Troy. East of the Metro East region, I-70 intersects US 51 in Vandalia and I-57 and US 45 in Effingham. Like all interstates, I-70 is part of the national highway system for its entire length in Illinois.

      Route Description

I-70 enters Illinois from St. Louis, crossing the Mississippi River on the four-lane Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge to the village of Brooklyn in St. Clair County. The first interchange is at IL 3 heading south towards Cahokia; The Interstate has an interchange with I-64 towards Fairview Heights and I-55, which it joins and heads northeast. Previously, I-70, along with I-55 and I-64, crossed the Poplar Street Bridge downstream to join East St. Louis; when it was brought into line with the current route, the section through downtown St. Louis was swallowed up by another interstate.

I-55/I-70 have an interchange with IL 203 before entering Madison County. The Interstate has a diamond interchange with IL 111 north of Fairmont City and a partial interchange with Black Lane before the highway interchange with I-255 west of Collinsville. I-55/I-70 curves northeast around Collinsville and exits the Mississippi River floodplain at an interchange with IL 157 (Bluff Road), where the highway cuts to four lanes. The Interstate runs between Collinsville and Maryville, which are served by the next interchange with IL 159(Vandalia Street / Maryville Road). US 40 exits the freeway at a tube junction southwest of Troy. I-55/I-70 curves north and meets IL 162 (Edwardsville Road) before they diverge at an interchange with I-270. The interchange, exit 20, is a solid cloverleaf, except for an overpass for westbound I-70 to join I-55 south. I-70 interchange westbound – exit 15; exits east of it are numbered, as if I-70 were on I-270 for the first few miles in Illinois.

I-70 meets Il Routes 4 and 143 south and east of Marines before crossing Highland Silver Lake. US 40 joins I-70 near Pieron and the two highways travel concurrently to Bond County where they split at Pocahontas. Here I-70 crosses Shoal Creek. US 40 continues to parallel I-70 until the next interchange, which is a junction with US 40 southwest of Greenville. Two highways run south of Greenville, which is also served by an interchange with IL 127. East of Mulberry Grove, I-70/US 40 crosses the north side of the east–west rail line and runs parallel again in Fayette County. I-70 runs along the northern edge of Vandalia, with access to the Fayette County Civic Center providing an interchange with US 40 on the west side and US 51 (Kennedy Boulevard) on the north. East of US 51, I-70 crosses the Kaskaskia River. I-70 intersects the south side of the rail line and US 40 (Cumberland Road) between Bluff City and Brownstown. The Interstate runs south from St. Elmo to the Effingham County entrance just west of the interchange with IL 128 at Altamonte.

Immediately after crossing the Little Wabash River, I-70 joins I-57 in parallel to bypass the west and north sides of Effingham. The two Interstates use the I-57 exit sequence during concurrency. I-57/I-70 have interchanges with Fayette Avenue, IL 32 and IL 33 (Keller Drive) and US 45 (Third Street) before exiting near Teutopolis. East of Montrose, I-70 enters Cumberland County where the Interstate has one interchange with IL 130 (Haughton Highway) at Greenap where the highway crosses the Embarras River. Interstate continues in Clark County for interchange with IL 49north of Casey. I-70 crosses the North Fork Embarras River north of Martinsville, then interchanges with IL-1 north of Marshall County. Northeast of Marshall, US 40 joins I-70 in parallel. The highways then cross the Indiana State Line west of Terre Haute, parallel to the original US 40, Illiana Drive.

      History

In 1957, the first section of the I-70 was built near Troy. However, it was not originally designated as I-70. Instead, it was signed as US 66. At 19In 60, the expressway extended southwest to Collinsville. Both I-55 and I-70 first appeared on the 1960 highway map. In 1961, I-70 also appeared between Effingham and Montrose. In 1962, both I-55 and I-70 extended southwest to Exchange Avenue. In addition, I-70 extended southwest from Effingham to IL 128 near Altamont. In 1964, it extended further southwest from IL 128 to US 40 between Bluff City and Brownstown. In East St. Louis, I-55/I-70 extended southwest even further to connect directly to the Veterans Memorial Bridge. At 19In 65, the I-55 / I-270 interchange was made. It would later be used to connect I-70 east to Highland from 1966. That same year, I-70 extended west from US 40 near Bluff City to US 51 and then back to US 40. In 1968, the Poplar Street Bridge, a girder bridge, opened. That same year, the eastern portion of I-70 extended further west to IL 127 near Greenville. The western portion of I-70 extended east to Pocahontas. In 1969, both long sections were connected. In 1970, part of I-70 appeared at 9miles (14 km) west of Indiana. In 1972, the last connection was made in Illinois (from Montrose to Il-1 north of Marshall).

On February 9, 2014, the Stan Music Veterans Memorial Bridge opened. Following the opening, I-70 was moved further north from the Poplar Street Bridge.
