Indiana’s Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) program meets a need that no one else does – providing the bridge between parents, child care providers, community partners, and policymakers. Chances And Services for Youth is the CCR&R agency that serves 24 counties across Central Indiana: Bartholomew, Brown, Clay, Delaware, Fayette, Greene, Hancock, Henry, Johnson, Madison, Montgomery, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Union, Vermillion, Vigo, and Wayne Counties. For help finding CCR&R agencies in other counties not listed above, please click here. CASY’s CCR&R services for families include providing consumer education on the importance of early education experiences for their children, parent education opportunities, assistance in locating a program that meets their family’s needs. CASY’s CCR&R offers the following services and resources:

For the first time since the lifting of a 17-year moratorium on the death penalty, US authorities have carried out the death sentence against an African American who was convicted at the federal level.
This is reported by USA Today and NBC News. nine0003
Christopher Vialva was sentenced to death for the 1999 murder of a Christian activist couple in Texas. At that time he was 19 years old. He was executed by lethal injection at Terre Haute Prison in Indiana.
According to NBC News, Vialva’s lawyer previously said her client’s race influenced the judge’s decision in sentencing.

Vialva’s execution was the seventh federal execution of a death sentence this year.
According to The Wasington Post, the US Department of Justice has been trying for almost a year to resume executions for federal criminals, which were suspended in 2003 due to disagreements about the lethal injection procedure. At the same time, state authorities continued to execute criminals.
According to the NGO Death Penalty Information Center, 22 people were executed in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, South Dakota in 2019.
