We are a child Care Center located in Muhlenberg Township that care for children aged Infant 12 weeks to 12 years old. We provide programs for Infants, Toddlers, Preschool/Pre-K, Before and After School Carefor K thru 6th Grade and Summer care for all ages.
We are currently accepting applications for all age levels of Enrollment. We are also taking reservations for Summer Care for both Preschool and School Age – spots are filling up quickly. We have an awesome School Age Summer Care Program scheduled. CALL US FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
We are open Monday Thru Friday between 6:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
For our Preschool/Pre-K students we provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks. Children learn through Playful Learning so there are plenty of learning centers for Reading, Writing, Math, Sensory, Gross & Fine Motor skills. We make fun art projects, slime, edible play dough, salt dough ornaments and weekly cooking projects and science projects.
For our School Age Students we provide breakfast and an after school snack. There are times to do homework and work in Reading, Writing or Math Centers in order to earn coins that can in turn be traded for prizes.
Students can also play games, be outside, go on nature walks, & local field trips. We have special events like to build a float and march in the Temple Halloween parade, ice cream days, monthly birthday parties, thanksgiving feast, and many more fun activities….

We see the preschool as the seed from which the learning grows. It is the first stage in education for our Jewish students, as our religious school picks up from the end of their time at preschool, and sometimes even during the last year here in the pre-K (Tikkun Olam) class.
Lifelong learning is one of our highest values in Judaism, and at the Temple, and the foundation that the preschool provides is second to none.
This is a Jewish preschool where we celebrate Jewish holidays, customs, and values.
That learning, though, is only part of what a child receives. Hours
The Temple Preschool strives to meet families’ unique scheduling needs. Based on availability, we offer two (2), three (3), and five (5) day schedules. Extended mornings and/or afternoons may be added to some or all.
A. School Day. Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.*
B. Optional Extended Hours. Morning: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.; Afternoon: 3:00 p.

The Temple dedicated a new playscape for the Preschool in December 2020.
The Temple Preschool transformed our outdoor play space into a best-in-class, nature-based learning environment. I recently visited the ancient Russian city of Pskov. There, right behind the forecourt, guests are greeted by Fabritius Street. It is the shortest way to the center, to the ancient fortress walls, to the famous Kremlin with the majestic Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Not everyone knew who Fabritius was even in Soviet times, and in modern Russia the number of such experts, obviously, tends to zero. And, nevertheless, the name of Fabricius still “decorates” the streets of many Russian cities.
Among them, of course, Moscow, how could it be without Fabricius, Tver, Sochi and (at the request of the miners?) Donetsk. With a strong desire, in this remarkable fact, one can probably see a vivid example of “careful attitude” to “our historical heritage.” But if there is no such great desire, there is no revolutionary ardor and faith that “Lenin is even more alive than all the living,” then the question inevitably arises – why, based on what considerations, is it necessary to “carefully preserve” the memory of Comrade Fabricius? What should his sonorous name remind you of, what should the citizens of modern Russia be called to? To “international solidarity of working people” and “selfless struggle for the cause of the revolution”? Or, perhaps, to the creation (on an equal and mutually beneficial basis, of course) of a union state of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Latvia?
And what else can the “historical heritage” of Fabricius, a fiery revolutionary from the “Red Latvian Riflemen”, distinguished by cruelty and “famous”, mainly for the executions of participants in the Kronstadt uprising, serve.
If only for a reminder of how the Bolsheviks destroyed the Church after the victory of the Revolution. Fabricius succeeded here too, being a military commissar in Polotsk, took an active part in the desecration of the relics of St. Euphrosyne kept in the St. Euphrosyne Monastery Euphrosyne of Polotsk , considered the patroness of the Belarusian land.
Today the desecrators of the church in Russia are not respected, at least officially. It is even customary to baptize the forehead and light a candle. But this is on the one hand. On the other hand, the memory of Fabricius is also quite officially honored and preserved. As they say: “his name lives on,” not a single street has been renamed. And you can’t say that the Fabricius incident was an exception, a special case – they didn’t watch it, they didn’t get their hands on it. No, along with the name of this of the Latvian shooter , who shot a lot of counter-revolutionary soldiers and sailors, and even ordinary Pskov inhabitants on the streets of Russian cities, quite comfortably continue to “live”, often in the neighborhood of restored churches, and other names of dozens, if not hundreds, of fiery revolutionaries, in including those of foreign origin.
What is surprising here is that, having apparently abandoned the “struggle for the ideals of the revolution”, in the Russian Federation they continue to “carefully preserve” the memory of the “heroes of the revolution” (unlike, by the way, the memory of its victims). It’s conservation of revolutionism and its actually continuing mass monumental propaganda (both in the names of cities and streets, and in countless monuments to the “founders” and “leaders of the revolution”), in combination with speeches about “a return to traditional spiritual and moral values”, objectively leads to the deepest cognitive dissonance in the public consciousness, in fact, to its split-split. And in this regard, one of the key, programmatic theses of the Russian president, who has repeatedly said that “Russia has exhausted its limit on revolution”, is of great importance. This is definitely and profoundly true thought. The damage inflicted on the country and people by the revolutions of the 20th century is such that Russia may not survive the continuation of such “social experiments”.
Therefore, one must be consistent in rejecting revolutionary ideology, glorifying its “heroes”. It is necessary, finally, to overcome the uncertainty of doublethink, to collect the torn, split public consciousness. Indeed, today this split is symbolically represented even on Red Square, this not only political, but also the sacred and semantic center of the country. On one side of it, there is the temple of St. Basil the Blessed , and on the other, opposite , there is a mausoleum with the “relics” of the “leader of the world revolution”. This symbolism of the visible direct confrontation between the Temple and the Mausoleum, not by chance, of course, has developed in the “heart” of Russia, just as everything significant in history is not by chance – it directly refers to the immutable biblical truth: “a kingdom divided in itself will not stand.” It will not stand, because it is impossible to worship both God and idols at the same time. One cannot wear a cross and “carefully store” the “relics” of the persecutor of the Church.
You cannot defend traditional values with one hand and glorify the “heroes of the revolution” with the other. Such ideological-value, ideological “pluralism” can only coexist in a disordered psyche. A healthy society, by definition, has a single unified worldview.
And if Russia today is really returning to Temple , outliving the deadly virus of the revolution, returning to itself, to its tradition, and there is only one alternative to this – the disappearance of Russian civilization, then it is necessary to finally dismantle the “Revolutionary Pantheon “. At the same time, it is fundamentally important to understand that this dismantling does not mean a total rejection of the “Soviet past”. A clear distinction is needed between the “heroes of the revolution”, who became famous, if not exclusively, then mainly, in the field of destruction and “merciless destruction of the internal class enemy”, and those who created – built factories, factories, roads, who fought and defended their country and people during the Great Patriotic War, who provided a breakthrough into space and other real achievements of the USSR.
The “heroes of the revolution” who destroyed the “whole world of violence” are Lenin, Sverdlov, Trotsky and other smaller ones, like the same Fabricius and similar red shooters . And Stakhanov, Alexander Matrosov and Georgy Zhukov , Korolev and Gagarin, are Soviet heroes who in no way belong to the “Revolutionary Pantheon”. And one should not succumb to the cunning of leftist propaganda: they say, without some, there would be no others, and, in general, this is “our history”, therefore “we must preserve memory”, etc., etc. As you know, by no means Soviet soldiers went on the attack not with the name of Lenin. It was not Lenin who was the Supreme Commander during the war years, it was not he who led the industrialization and “building of socialism”, it was not Lenin who became the actual creator of the Soviet statehood and raised the power and prestige of the USSR to an unprecedented height.
This was done by Stalin. But his name, nevertheless, was diligently “erased”, quickly, without “picking up”, they renamed the then Soviet (including those built under Stalin) cities, streets, squares, enterprises. And in this case, for some reason, they didn’t remember, and they don’t remember, about “our history”, “careful attitude”, – they do without propaganda “noodles”.
True, they refer to “Stalin’s repressions”. But today, more than enough documents have been published confirming Lenin’s most direct attitude to mass repressions, including mass extrajudicial executions. And also the terrible famine in the Volga region, the consequences of Lenin’s “war communism” and the policy of robbing and destroying the Church. This is about repressions – Stalinist and Leninist. If we talk about merits and achievements, then Stalin, no matter how you treat him, undoubtedly has such, and considerable ones. And what can be attributed to the achievements of the “leader of the world proletariat”, what exactly, without general words and propaganda chatter, was done under his leadership for the country? Armed seizure of power and dispersal (after losing the election) of the Constituent Assembly? The murder of the royal family? But today this, it seems, is no longer considered merit.
Legalization of homosexuality and freedom for demonstrations “Down with shame”? But this also does not yet apply to achievements. Maybe the “Leninist national policy”, which actually laid a “time bomb” in the foundation of the USSR? The policy, as a result of which, according to the apt expression of the Russian president, “Ukraine named after V.I. Lenin. So the consequences of this policy today are too obvious and have already cost too much blood to many peoples of the former USSR.
This is how the real balance of “mistakes” and achievements is obtained – with Lenin, the founder of the Bolshevik Party and the leader of the revolution; and Stalin, the creator of the USSR and the Supreme Commander of the Victory. But the name of Stalin has been crossed out from the official place names and the monuments to him have been demolished. But Lenin is right there. His name, nothing but “will live forever,” stands the mausoleum, and in every Russian city, one of the main ones is Lenin Street.
And in the long-suffering New Russia, monuments to the leader are being restored. That is, one must understand that Lenin’s “mistakes” are forgiven, Lenin is not Stalin – is this something else ?! Such is the electoral result of “our history.” It is not easy to figure it out.
Maybe Stalin is being punished for the fact that his repressions, unlike Lenin’s, “enemies of the people” – Trotskyists and “rootless cosmopolitans” hurt? Like it or not, the official guardians of “historical memory” do without his name. Why then it is necessary to “sacred” the memory of the main revolutionary? Is there not enough revolution in Russia for someone? Or maybe citizens were asked, maybe they like the neighborhood of the Temple and the Mausoleum on the main square of the country, and they oppose the return of historical names, they want to live on Lenin Street? Yes, by the way, it is high time to return the name of comrade Fabricius to the “historical Motherland” – to rename the small but proud Latvian state into the Republic of Latvia named after Fabricius.
This will be both historically and metaphysically true and fair.
Today there is a lot of talk about the fact that Russia is faced with a challenge of an existential nature and civilizational scale. And this is directly evidenced by the actually unfolding aggression of the collective West against the Russian Federation. The country and the people will face a difficult struggle to preserve political and spiritual sovereignty, preserve their culture, language, traditional values, and, for the preservation of their land, the territorial integrity of the Russian state. But V.I. Lenin (who, as is known, did not hesitate to agitate for the “defeat of his Fatherland” during the hardest war, with huge casualties) in this struggle is a very dubious assistant. Therefore, Russian society, if it really wants and can determine its own destiny, has only one choice – a return to the road to the Temple.

Andrei Rublev’s “Holy Trinity” will not return to the Tretyakov Gallery on Sunday after a two-week stay at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as stipulated in the contract. The Ministry of Culture left the icon in the temple without climate control for another month, which increases the risk of destruction of the masterpiece.
Then, at the request of the ministry, the icon must be transported to the Grabar Center for restoration, and from there to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
According to experts, the dilapidated monument does not need restoration, but in peace and museum storage conditions – they are not in the center of Grabar, nor in the church. One member of the Tretyakov Gallery’s restoration council told the BBC that only a “real rebellion” of its employees could save Trinity.
According to the agreement that was signed by the Tretyakov Gallery with the Cathedral of Christ the Savior two weeks ago, the icon should return to the museum on the evening of June 18th.
However, on Thursday, June 15, the Tretyakov Gallery received a letter from Deputy Minister of Culture Sergei Obryvalin stamped “for official use” – the Tretyakov Gallery was instructed to urgently draw up an additional agreement on changing the route. A source in the museum community who is close to the Ministry of Culture and familiar with the content of the letter told the BBC about this.
The letter said that “Trinity” should be transported directly from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior to the All-Russian Artistic Research and Restoration Center (VKhNRTS) named after Academician I.E. Grabar and organize restoration work there, which will be financed by the Ministry of Culture. For this, the Tretyakov Gallery must conclude an agreement on restoration with the Grabar center. Instead, the unexpected decision to extend the stay of the icon in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was due to the fact that there was not enough time to complete the relevant documents.

It turned out to be impossible to prepare the legal document prescribed by the Ministry of Culture on the transfer of the icon to the center of Grabar on the last working day before its return from the temple. Director of the Tretyakov Gallery Elena Pronicheva at that time was at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, returned on Friday and went to the Ministry of Culture, from where she returned to the museum in the evening.
During the day, options for further developments changed several times. As a result, everyone agreed that it was impossible to make an additional agreement before the evening of June 18, and the Ministry of Culture decided that the icon would remain in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for another month – until July 18.
For this, an additional agreement with the Cathedral of Christ the Savior will be prepared on Monday. The icon will remain there under the control of specialists – the restorers of the Tretyakov Gallery and the State Research Institute of Restoration (GosNIIR).
Such a decision creates additional risks for the icon – the restorers of the Tretyakov Gallery prepared it for a two-week journey, the BBC source said. The Russian Orthodox Church explained Vladimir Putin’s decision to urgently move the collapsing monument from the museum as a response to “numerous requests from Orthodox believers,” and the Kremlin said that “covering the shrine in the museum does not meet the “aspirations of a large number of believers in our country.”
But there was no mass pilgrimage to the icon in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior over the past two weeks (this is confirmed by photographs taken on different days). And on the holiday on the day of memory of St. Sergius of Radonezh, as well as on the day of the Holy Trinity, museum workers were ready to take the icon to the church-museum of St.
Nicholas in Tolmachi, where there is a climatic showcase for it, and everyone could pray to the shrine without causing damage to it .
The museum workers were also ready to consider free visits to the museum so that the icon could be approached in quiet rooms. In the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, it is now impossible to stop in front of the icon at close range, and it is also forbidden to kiss it. In such a situation, the masterpiece is exposed to senseless risks, says a BBC interlocutor in the museum community (he asked for anonymity because he is not authorized to comment on this topic).

Whether specialists will be able to examine the icon in the church and determine by the stickers whether the cracks have increased after a two-week stay there is unknown. The showcase, in which the icon is located, is not climatic and cannot cope with maintaining comfortable conditions. According to the BBC, it was attended by employees not only of the Tretyakov Gallery, but also of the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, as well as leading research institutes of the Ministry of Culture – for example, Lev Lifshits, head of the department of ancient Russian art at the State Institute of Art History, Viktor Dorokhov, head of the climate laboratory for museums and architectural monuments of GosNIIR, and restorer from the Russian Academy of Arts Yuri Bobrov. This time there were no representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church in the council.
“The members of the council recalled that it [the restoration council] did not give any restoration task, but only recommended monitoring its condition and strengthening the most problematic places. As it turned out at the council, there is no motivation in the instructions of the Ministry of Culture for the transfer of the icon to the center of Grabar, while the ministry previously ignored all previous decisions of the council, conclusions and recommendations of the restorers that were given before and after last year’s shipment of the icon to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra and before the current shipment to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
“Everyone said that the decision of the Ministry of Culture to transfer the icon to the center of Grabar is an expression of distrust towards the Tretyakov Gallery and its employees, although there are many restorers of the highest category, and a number of them have recently received a state award for restoration work. But we understand, that the decision of the Ministry of Culture is the fulfillment of a political task,” Shalina told the BBC.
“Violation of museum order”. Why give “Trinity” to the center of Grabar?
“The restoration center and the museum are completely different institutions. In the center of Grabar, the conditions for maintaining the temperature and humidity regime are much worse than in the Tretyakov Gallery,” says Irina Shalina. This was confirmed by the BBC and another member of the council, who asked for anonymity, as he is not authorized to comment on the situation with the icon. The center is not intended for long-term storage of masterpieces, it does not have a separate room for placing the “Trinity” in the right climatic conditions – it is dry there, and the doors are constantly opening and closing, because exhibits are brought to the Grabar workshops for the period of restoration and taken away from there. In addition, there are chemicals and an extractor fan. The Grabar center does not have the equipment that was specially purchased for restorers in the Tretyakov Gallery, the BBC interlocutors said.
And the temperature in the museum is stable, and in case of changes, the necessary actions are taken immediately.
Even if the work with the icon in the center of Grabar will involve its “doctors” – restorers of the Tretyakov Gallery, the risks, in comparison with the storage of the icon in the Tretyakov Gallery, will still increase, museum workers say. According to Irina Shalina, the Grabar Center also does not have a museum status, and it does not have the right to permanently store exhibits. In addition, according to Russian laws, museum funds are indivisible and it is forbidden to take exhibits from one museum to another, she notes.

But in an interview on June 9, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova said that after the restoration, they plan to place the “Trinity” in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra – but not in a temple, but in a state museum. On the territory of the Lavra is the “Sacristy of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra” – a branch of the State Museum-Reserve.
According to the minister, this will not be a transfer of museum value “for free use” by the Russian Orthodox Church, but “responsible use within the museum community, where both the Ministry of Culture and the management of the Lavra museum will be responsible for the preservation of the image.”
In the month that has passed since the announcement of the “transfer” of the “Holy Trinity” to the Rublyov Church, statements by officials about the fate of the icon often contradicted each other.
On May 15, the press service of Patriarch Kirill reported on Putin’s decision to “return” the Trinity Russian Orthodox Church on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church. After the protests of the restoration council of the Ministry of Culture on May 26, they promised that the icon would be exhibited in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for two weeks, after which it would be handed over for restoration. .
The agreement was signed on June 3 by the director of the museum, Elena Pronicheva (before that, she had refused to give the icon out of the museum) and Archpriest Georgy Martynov, curator of the Patriarchal Museum of Ecclesiastical Art at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Patriarch Kirill, almost at the moment when the agreement was signed on the transfer of the icon for two weeks, said that the Rublev icon would be in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for a year, after which it would be delivered to the Lavra. A few hours later, the Ministry of Culture published a message stating that the icon had been transferred to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for only two weeks.
On June 16, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan of Klin Leonid (Gorbachev) accused the Ministry of Culture of failing to fulfill Putin’s will. “If we understand everything correctly and there is an instruction from the president, then the Ministry of Culture must comply with it. Otherwise, it looks like sabotage,” he said. But the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church immediately assured that “irresponsible statements about alleged sabotage by the Ministry of Culture […] have no basis.”

Experts predict that the “Trinity” is likely to face the fate of the Toropetsk Icon of the Mother of God, which the Ministry of Culture in 2009 withdrew from the funds of the Russian Museum and transferred to the “operational management” of the Center.

This icon of the XIV century is listed in the inventory book of the center of Grabar under the number “1”, but is not in the center, but in the temple of the cottage village “Prince Lake” near Moscow, which is associated with the owner and president of the Sapsan group of companies Sergey Shmakov. “New cracks and expansion of old ones”. What’s going on with Trinity now?
June 3 “Trinity” was brought to the temple from the Tretyakov Gallery directly from the restoration table – with stickers that the restorers fixed in the weakest places, including at the junction of the boards, so that the cracks would not open during the movement of the icon and its stay outside the museum walls .
The photographs taken on June 13 in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior by a RIA Novosti photojournalist, according to the agency, clearly show tears in the restoration seals. This may indicate that despite all the efforts of the restorers, the icon could not be protected from the negative impact of the unstable climate in the temple premises – and the cracks increased.
Theologian and publicist Andrei Kuraev drew attention to the readings of a sensor that measures the temperature and humidity inside the display case with “Trinity”.
The numbers on the sensor indicate that the climate inside the showcase is very different from the museum.
“The temperature is right [21.4 degrees Celsius], and the humidity in gallery conditions and in any normal place is 50-52%. The figure that is seen on the sensor [44.7%] is sharply lower. Such a sharp drop in humidity relative to the usual norm is fraught with the drying of wood, and, therefore, new cracks and the expansion of old ones,” Andrey Kuraev noted.

After a trip to the Lavra in 2022, the state of preservation of the icon has deteriorated significantly. The restorers recorded 61 areas with “lags in the canvas (fabric that is glued to the board before applying the primer) and gesso (primer) with gilding on the margins of the icon” (the restorers called five areas emergency).
Just like last year, the Tretyakov Gallery specialists and the Art-Courier company, which transported the icon, installed temperature and humidity sensors in the display case again.
However, according to the restorers, such improvements do not fundamentally improve the situation and do not turn the museum showcase into a climate capsule, which is necessary for the Trinity. In a temple where the museum climate is not maintained, a showcase cannot protect the icon from fluctuations in temperature and humidity levels.
“Non-export status”. Will the “space capsule” protect the icon?
The only climatic showcase that “Trinity” has is located in the Church-Museum of St. Nicholas in Tolmachi. The showcase complex for the “Trinity” in the space of this temple (as well as for the icon of Our Lady “Donskaya” and “Our Lady of Vladimir”) was created by order of Boris Yeltsin on 1993 years old
The climate cabinet was designed and assembled at the Moscow Polymetal Plant, which specializes in the development of control and protection systems for nuclear reactors.
It took specialists three years to develop the terms of reference for the creation of the climate showcase. The Tretyakov Gallery received a showcase in 1998. All this time, the polymetal plant was engaged in maintenance of the equipment complexes for climatic showcases.
At the same time, the climatic showcase created for the “Trinity” provides the necessary microclimate only for a certain period of time (as a rule, it is several days), and it is designed for use only in combination with the climatic equipment of the Tretyakov Gallery.

In 2008, at a meeting of the restoration council of the Tretyakov Gallery, which discussed the possibility of issuing the icon for a few days to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, an employee of the polymetal plant, the developer of the capsule-case for “Trinity” Alexander Amakhanov said that he “completely and entirely” shares the concerns of the restorers regarding the safety of the icon when it is moved.
“And the decision to extradite or not to extradite is, you understand, not our issue, it is a political and very difficult issue,” Alexander Amakhanov said at the time.
However, in 2008, “Trinity” managed to be protected from travel, which, as the restorers are sure, would almost inevitably provoke the deterioration of the icon. Then, during a meeting of the restoration council, the representative of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, Archimandrite Porfiry, said that the church does not insist on the temporary transfer of the icon without proper preservation conditions.
This year, at a meeting of the expanded restoration council of the Tretyakov Gallery, a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church also agreed that the “Trinity” could not be exported yet, and that neither the museum nor the church had a suitable climate capsule to transport such a monument.
“It must be understood by the whole society, both the church and the leadership, that there are problems that give this icon a non-export status today – until, of course, until our restorers learn, perhaps, to “treat” [ancient icons],” Archpriest Leonid Kalinin, at that time the head of the expert council on church art, architecture and restoration of the Russian Orthodox Church, said on May 15.

However, on May 27, it became known that Patriarch Kirill banned Leonid Kalinin from the priesthood and dismissed him from all positions – for “obstructing” the bringing of Andrei Rublev’s icon to the church on the feast of the Trinity on June 4. How Archpriest Leonid Kalinin did this, the ROC did not specify.
Alexander Gormatyuk, the restorer of the Grabar center, warned at the restoration council on May 15 that even the creation of a “space” capsule, as suggested by Archpriest Kalinin, is risky for the “Trinity”, since it would be more difficult to quickly respond to the changes taking place with it in such a capsule.
Gormatyuk knows what he’s talking about – it was he who saved the Bogolyubskaya icon of the Mother of God of the 12th century, infected with mold due to humidity in the monastery, where it was transferred from the museum.
