Teachers carefully ask parents if they want to send their children to summer school camps, although the question of questions is where will you take the children from them during quarantine and social distances? Last year, our younger friend, along with those from the Center for Aesthetic Education of Children and Youth, did not get out of the excursions. But today, museums and cinemas during the epidemic are a dangerous thing. I remember the blessed summer dachas that the kindergartens of Samara had under the Soviets and I understand that generations have grown up on the Volga who do not know what various officials in the green zone of the city have stolen from children.

Found an article in perestroika newspaper Volzhskaya Zarya for 1987. What is curious – at that moment, officials from the regional architecture explained the gradual extinction of kindergarten summer cottages by the upcoming development of summer cottages with new residential microdistricts. Now there are no dachas for children, no neighborhoods – mostly individual cottages.

It turns out that the children of Samara were robbed twice – in the city, half of the kindergartens were taken away from them for offices and churches, and on the clearings – ALL summer cottages.

What is more interesting – there are no Kuibyshev enterprises left that generously helped kindergartens maintain their summer cottages – the elevator in question was demolished, the Mill No. 3 on the street was closed. Krupskaya 1 – in its place is a shopping center, there is no Krasnaya Zvezda clothing factory and a confectionery factory, which are also discussed in the article. Most likely, there is no kindergarten No. 16, which journalists write about.

KINDERGARTEN IN THE COTTAGE

They say that just in the area of ​​the 3rd clearing, the film “Timur and his team”, which was very popular at the time, was filmed, the action of which took place in a cozy holiday village. The place here is really wonderful: greenery, silence. It is no accident that so many children’s institutions are located in this zone – sanatoriums, pioneer camps, summer cottages of orphanages and kindergartens. I was in a hurry to one of them on a sunny August day. Here, under the canopy of centuries-old oaks, there is a summer dacha, where the pupils of kindergarten No. 16 of the Samara region, more than 100 boys and girls from three to seven years old, have been living for the second month.

OUTSIDE THE BLUE GATE

A NARROW alley off the main road led me to a blue gate through which voices could be heard. Undoubtedly indicate there is a summer residence for children. I stepped over the threshold. And immediately a tanned boy in a wreath of maple leaves appeared before me, running out of the dense thickets that framed the path with a dense wall. In his hands he held something like a bow. It was obvious that an exciting game was going on, because the bushes of bird cherry and lilac were agitated and rustling endlessly – for sure, the army of Robin Hood was hiding there. “It’s good for the guys here. I involuntarily thought to myself. What freedom, what expanse! This is not a tiny piece of the courtyard adjacent to the building of the city garden!”

It was also good in cozy houses, where both dining rooms and bedrooms are provided, where there are glazed terraces on which children play and study in bad weather. Children’s crafts were good – acorns, grass and even ordinary thorns were turned into little animals, birds, funny little men. All this was done by children under the guidance of teachers. There were also two TVs here – the kids are aware of all the events, this is also not bad. Playgrounds for outdoor games, for physical education, densely overgrown with grass.

But the main thing is to introduce children to the world of nature, with which, alas. little known city kids. Find out what trees, bushes, herbs grow on the site. Admire the beauty of the sunset. Constantly observe the life of birds, insects, feed squirrels that trustfully descend from oak branches. Collect berries and fruits in a small garden. How many joys every summer day brings to kids! How strong and healthy they are!

Two dozen children will leave kindergarten this year for school, first grade. A real generator of health and energy, without which it is not easy for first-graders to overcome the basics of science, will be a summer cottage for them.

SO, LETS START…

Dinner is over – cherry pie was a success. The children with the teachers dispersed around the site. It is so large that you can play completely without interfering with each other. We are sitting with Valentina Gavrilovna under the canopy of a mighty oak, talking about the summer life of preschool children. And constantly, no matter what the conversation is about, the manager returns to the initial moment, the very one when she said: “This dacha, Anatoly Ivanovich, please give me back. ” By all appearances, this dacha was not easy for her!

Anatoly Ivanovich Makridin, the head of the Samara District Department, immediately went to meet Pronicheva – he gave his “go-ahead” to populate the dacha with the 16th kindergarten. This dacha promised to remain ownerless: for a number of reasons, its former owner, Kindergarten No. 55, refused to own it.

Valentina Gavrilovna enthusiastically set to work. I started by talking to the bosses.

“We have good bosses,” says Pronicheva. — Both the director of the elevator D. V. Maslov and the director of the mill No. 3 V. N. Ostrometsky are always sympathetic to our needs. And with the dacha, the issue was resolved without delay; assured: “We will certainly help both people and materials.”

Let’s not dwell on various organizational problems that delayed the opening of the summer season. Let’s just say that thanks to the energy and perseverance of the manager, the help of the chefs, the repair of country houses and utility rooms was completed in a month. The residential buildings were whitewashed and painted, the kitchen and shower room were put in order, the issue with fire-fighting structures was resolved, the territory was cleared, the equipment on the site was repaired. We must pay tribute to the parents of the kids – many of them took an active part in subbotniks and Sundays.

COOK? NANNY? Educator?

BUT PROBLEMS still arose and complicated the lives of both adults and children. However, the children practically did not notice them – the team was mostly friendly, conscious, ready to sacrifice personal interests for the sake of the common good and did not allow disruptions in work.

The main problem was the shortage of personnel. The issue with the teachers was resolved immediately, although the maintenance of the children became round-the-clock, fifty more children from other kindergartens in the area where repairs are underway were added to their pets. But with nannies, especially at night, it was a bit difficult, and now two are missing. Employees get out as best they can: master related professions, replace each other. There are two cooks in the kindergarten, we need one more to replace. Today, one “cook” fell ill – and the manager herself got up to the stove (that’s why she met the correspondent in an apron – she fed the kids with an afternoon snack). As if by the way, nimble and skillful cooks from TU No. 10 came here. But the attempt to get personnel there for Valentina Gavrilovna ended in failure – she received a categorical refusal.

Obviously, next year (the manager has no doubts that a trip to the dacha in the summer of 1988 will take place), we need to take into account the lessons of the current one – think about how to attract young people to work as nannies (an excellent practice for those who are going to become a teacher), staff , including cooks (it seems that TU-10 should also meet preschool workers halfway). Both bosses and parents will need to make an effort to increase the number of facilities on the site for organizing children’s games and physical education. Yes, and the orchard needs more careful care.

And the summer days go on and on. Not always warm and clear. “The rains tortured me,” the teachers complain. But even in cool weather, warmly dressed children spend most of their time in the air, which heals children better than any medicines and vitamins.

THE CONVERSATION IS NOT ENDED

REPORTING from the summer cottage, where the kids live well among the greenery and silence, is over. But the conversation on the topic “Kindergarten in the country” is far from over. Because fewer and fewer preschoolers are spending their kindergarten summer outside the city. Summer cottages are dilapidated, and their restoration is not carried out for various reasons. One of them is the GlavAPU ban on the overhaul of summer-type buildings located in the area of ​​​​dacha clearings, where it is planned to build new microdistricts over time. And the dachas stand for years without their little owners, who at that time languish in the city. Children’s voices have not been heard for a long time in the dachas of kindergartens No. 51 of the Krasnaya Zvezda clothing factory, No. 69Kuibyshevskaya GRES, 26 confectionery factory, No. 187. 43, 73 32, which are under the jurisdiction of the city. This year, the number of dachas in the Samara region has decreased three times compared to last year. Only 14 preschool institutions now have summer dachas (and this is out of more than 400 kindergartens operating in the city).

Do preschoolers benefit from green space? We believe that the answer to this question is quite convincing. So, won’t a chance be found outside the city to give the children back their summer dachas, where they live so well?

In summer, kindergartens are open the same hours as they are all year round: from 7 am to 7 pm for kindergartens with a 12-hour stay, or from 7 am to 5.30 pm for kindergartens with a 10.5-hour stay. But the mode of operation in many kindergartens is changing.

“In the summer, there are fewer children, they go away for health improvement, parents go on vacation and do not take their children to kindergarten,” says Olga Kaplina, chief specialist of the preschool and general secondary education department of the education committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

For this reason, in kindergartens with a 12-hour stay, the working hours of groups are reduced. In their group, the kids will be from 7 to 17.30, and then, until 19 o’clock, from the kids of different groups make up duty groups.

This also changes the diet. The kids have a second breakfast – juice. But there will be no lunch. Instead, at 17 o’clock – dinner. Under 19hours, says Olga Kaplina, the children will not have time to get hungry.

Every summer, the ration for children’s food is increased by 10% so that children can get fresh vegetables, fruits and juices. Salads are included on the menu. Especially strictly, the specialist says, in the summer they monitor the drinking regime. “Since children play a lot in the street, they definitely need to drink,” says Olga Kaplina.

“Nothing new is happening here, preschool institutions have been operating in this way for the last 20 years,” says a specialist from the department of preschool and general secondary education.

Some preschool institutions, especially in the Central District, where there are many old kindergartens, are closed for repairs in the summer, and children are disbanded in nearby preschool institutions. “Therefore, even cosmetic repairs according to sanitary rules are strictly forbidden to be done in the presence of children. And I want the garden to be updated by September, ”says the specialist.

If the number of groups in the summer is large, then any garden can decide not to change the mode of operation. “In order to predict the number of children in the summer, a survey is made among parents,” says Olga Kaplina.

At this stage, misunderstanding sometimes arises between caregivers and parents.

“If we take a child to kindergarten all summer, does it mean that we are a dysfunctional family?”

Our reader Oksana contacted the hotline. Her child attends one of the kindergartens in the Zavodskoy district of Minsk.

Parents were immediately asked to fill out a sheet in which it was necessary to indicate which summer months the child would definitely visit the garden, and which not.

Then, at a parent-teacher meeting, the educator warned the parents that those families that could not improve their health over the summer and not take the child to kindergarten for at least two weeks would be registered as dysfunctional. And in September they will come to their homes (with or without a district inspector – at the discretion of the kindergarten administration) to find out why the child went to the kindergarten all summer.

According to Oksana, the teachers also recommended picking up the child from kindergarten half an hour or an hour earlier in the summer, “so that he doesn’t go hungry for a long time”.

“Why should conscientious parents who, due to circumstances, have to take their children to kindergarten in the summer, have to apologize, feel guilty and ask the headmaster not to register them as dysfunctional? Oksana asks. – It is clear that the child needs a break from the garden and that in the summer many groups are closed, as the educators begin the time of long holidays. But parents can also understand. Firstly, not everyone has grandparents, relatives who can take the child for the summer or pick them up earlier while you are at work.”

Olga Kaplina, specialist of the pre-school and general secondary education department of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, believes that a child really needs a break from kindergarten in the summer, to be with mom and dad.
