Camps during COVID
Campers will participate in a range of activities, all of which are age-appropriate games, hikes, and crafts determined by the counselors and what the group likes to do. Activities include Stem Activities, Archery, Hiking, Art and Crafts, Scavenger Hunts, and more.
At this time, we have limited Camp programming for children between the ages of 3-13 years old.
Click on the links below for more information.
Program
A typical day begins with all Campers meeting at their assigned Camp Sites. All Campers will be in small groups of children of the same age, with whom they will spend the entire session. The camper Staff ratio will be 2:16. Camp CaHiTo is a “group-centered” camp – meaning that our campers have the same counselor and peer group for the duration of the camp session. Group-centered camping gives children the best opportunity to experience the powerful feeling of belonging, to make and keep new friends, and to connect with their counselors.

Children’s camps in the Kaliningrad region for the summer of 2022 is a great way to make your holidays interesting and memorable!
The Kaliningrad region, due to its unique geographical position (it is separated from the territory of the Russian Federation, located in Central Europe and connected to Russia only by sea) has many picturesque places: the coast of the Baltic Sea, forests, lakes, bays. ..
developed industry of children’s recreation. To date, there are about 15 children’s country camps, as well as children’s sanatoriums. The largest concentration of children’s camps is observed in the area of Svetlogorsk. Almost all camps in the Kaliningrad region work only in the summer.
Holidays in the camp in the Amber Territory (the so-called Kaliningrad region for the richest deposits of amber) combine an active leisure part with the possibility of healing and preventing diseases, since the unique combination of sea and forest air has a positive effect on the child’s body.
Children’s camp. Which is more: pluses or minuses?
Conventionally, children’s camps are divided into 3 subtypes. The difference between them is in the scale of the institution.
You need to choose a camp according to its reputation (reviews, reviews, social networks), parent reviews and the availability of documents necessary for this activity.
The camp must have a license in two cases: when providing medical and recreational services (license for medical activities) or educational services (license for educational activities). Circles and sections are not educational, but leisure services, so they do not require a license. Such a license must have, for example, summer schools. Always ask the camp administration about these documents.
Regional, federal, all-Russian and international centers.
Large institutions of recreation and health improvement for children with a long-term reputation. Shifts from 14 to 21 days, finding children around the clock. It has access to a large pond, the sea or a private pool.
Most often, such institutions are year-round, which means that the staff there has no turnover and undergoes qualified training, working from year to year. The recreation program can be tailored to the interests of the child. A lot of effort and attention is paid to security in such camps: fencing throughout the territory, CCTV cameras, 24-hour security, a large medical unit. Such centers have a group that makes daily reports, publishes news so that parents are aware and do not worry about the child.
Of the minuses: for children who have a rest in such a camp for the first time, it is especially difficult during the period of adaptation. New place, people, daily routine. It’s really far from home, which can be intimidating. Parents don’t take their kids for the weekend. A ticket to such a camp is expensive, and the road is often paid separately. But there are also many advantages. Such an experience for a child will be invaluable.
Children’s health camp (DOL)
The camp is located most often in a forest with a pond. The shift lasts from 18 to 24 days (depending on the camp). Finding children – around the clock.
As a rule, such camps are located in ecologically clean areas, with a forest and a reservoir. Now in such camps it is increasingly rare to meet counselors who have no education or special training (almost like foresters). A variety of activities are supported there: sports competitions, creativity, intellectual battles, etc. You can visit the child at the set time.
Newcomers, of course, face difficulties and during the adaptation period they may be upset that their parents are far away. In such camps, there are often no those who deal with reports, so communication with children is not instantaneous. A mobile phone may not catch the network in the forest, the child forgot to charge, was busy, etc. But the cost will most likely be cheaper than the previous option.
Day camp (LDC)
This is a variant of Batiskaf city camp with some additions. The stay of children in the camp is from 9:00 to 18:00, the shift lasts 5 days. Children most easily adapt to staying in such a camp.
Of the minuses of this format of camps, it is usually noted that the child still spends the weekend at home. That is, it is not imbued with all life and, in fact, does not greatly change its usual way of being a student.
