Meet Kailah Wright! Kailah is the Center Director at Seffner KinderCare in Florida. Kailah holds a Childhood Development Associate, Staff Credential, VPK Endorsement, and Director’s Credential. She has been with KinderCare since 2017. Kailah’s favorite quote is, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” When she is not working, Kailah likes to spend quality time with her children. They enjoy going to the Youth Football/Cheerleading games and events on the weekend.

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age.
When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room.
Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun.
We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes.
Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
Spanish
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills.
Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

We joined KinderCare about a year ago after we were really disappointed with another place our kids were attending. Do you support alternative diets?
We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.
Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?
We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds.
If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

Seffner is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States.
The population was 7,579. 2010 census, [3] above from 5467 2000 census. Zip codes for the Seffner area are 33584 and 33583.
About 21 miles east of downtown Tampa, Seffner serves as a commuter paradise suburb. Although still characterized by tall living oak trees, strawberry farms and lakes, this small town is growing rapidly. Residential neighborhoods dot the once-rural landscape.

SEFFEROS and is bordered by Tonotosassa to the north, Mango to the west, and Brandon to the south. Interstate 4 is the northern boundary of the CDP, while the southern boundary follows State Road 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway).
Factory City is 10 miles (16 km) to the east.

There were 2,075 households out of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.1% were married couples living together, 11.
7% were females living with no husband present, and 26.7% were not have families. 21.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.9% of them are someone single people 65 and older. The average household size is 2.63, and the average family size is 3.04.
In the community, the population was spread out: 26.4% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 11, 6% aged 65 and over. . The median age was 37 years. For every 100 women, there were 95.4 men. For every 100 women aged 18 and over, there were 90.0 men.
The median income for a household in the community was $42,614 and the median income for a family was $49152 dollars. The median income for men was $32,266 versus $26,328 for women. The per capita income for the community was $19,888. About 3.2% of families and 4.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.0% of those under the age of 18 and 7.5% of those aged 65 and over.
History
According to the Seffner Chamber of Commerce, the exact date of Seffner’s founding is unknown.
Some historians claim that Seffner Streets were originally laid out in 1862, but not formally registered as a platform until 1885. The Seffner Post Office was opened in 1884 when a new rail line was planned for the area. The community was named after the first postmaster, F. Seffner. That same year, Seffner’s first school and store opened. The main thoroughfare to the north and south was Lenna Avenue, and to the east and west was Highway 23, renamed Buffalo Avenue due to its past use as a buffalo trail, and then renamed again to 1989 in its current name – Dr. Martin Luther. King Jr. Boulevard (Route 574). Seffner (and neighboring Mango and Dover) served as the three principal cities along the South Florida Railroad right-of-way between Tampa and Factory City. These cities owe their existence and prosperity to the railway, each of which becomes an important shipping center.
According to Ernest Robinson, County Historian, Seffner quickly developed into a prosperous small community with citrus groves, an inn (later destroyed by fire), one pharmacy, several dry goods stores, and a stable livery.
Early pioneer families included Hooker, Wicks (for whom Lake Wicks was named), Simmons, Mitchell (son became Governor of Florida in early 1900s), Pemberton, Franklin, Henderson, Wheeler, Tomberlin, Morris, Harvey, Derenthal, Little, O’Brien, Beaty, Baucom, Gray and Spencer.
When a yellow fever epidemic hit Tampa in the fall of 1887, and in 1888 many Tampa refugees fled in panic to Seffner to find temporary shelter in a hotel (not preserved). However, when refugees and mail arrived in Seffner, they were fumigated as a defense against the epidemic. Among the refugees was T.C. Taliaferro of the First National Bank of Tampa, who ran the bank branch for Seffner during the epidemic.
Seffner First Baptist Church was founded in 1888.
A frost in the winter of 1894-1895 brought trouble to Seffner. Many citizens left, while others stayed to make amends. Seffner survived and regained his well-being. Attractive residential neighborhoods were built to accommodate the influx of desirable residents.
The beauty and popularity of the area, including Hooker, Locarno and Wicks Lakes, has encouraged others to move to the area. By 1925, Seffner was the fourth largest city in Hillsborough County.
After World War II, Seffner became a sleepy Florida town with many residents moving to Tampa. Today, visitors can still see the remains of the old buildings and farms along the back roads of Seffner. As Tampa and neighboring Brandon expand eastward, Seffner is expected to benefit from a boom in commerce and further housing development.
In early 2013, the city made headlines when one of its residents was swallowed up by a sinkhole that was growing under his bedroom. [6] Later in August 2015, the same sinkhole reopened after heavy rains in the area. [7]
In August 2017, Seffner made headlines again when his confederate memorial was vandalized. After this incident, the people of Seffner spent hours removing the red paint that covered many of the names.

In late 2018, a missing Brooklyn Husky was found in Seffner after an unexplained journey of 1,200 miles in 18 months. [9]
After years of grief, Armwood High School Hawks (soccer team) are poised to win the 2020 state championship.
