Career & Benefit Information

With more than 1,000 associates in our corporate home office in Topeka, Security Benefit is fast becoming one of America’s leading retirement savings and income companies.

A leading employer in Northeast Kansas since our founding in 1892, we have been recognized by the Greater Topeka Partnership as one of the top places to work.

Security Benefit named to Forbes “America’s Best-In-State Employers List”

In an inaugural survey, Security Benefit was named to the Forbes “America’s Best-In-State Employers List.” According to the new ranking, Security Benefit came in at No. 5 among the Top 29 companies in the state of Kansas. Forbes, in partnership with market research firm Statista, surveyed more than 80,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. Employees were consulted anonymously, state-by-state, through online panels to avoid any influence from their companies. Respondents were asked 35 questions to assess their companies and their local labor market. The rankings resulted from the combination of two main elements: employees’ willingness to recommend their employer and employees’ willingness to recommend other employers in their region.

As a follow up to the Forbes listing, CEO Mike Kiley was featured in Topeka Capital-Journal article on June 23 that took a closer look at why Security Benefit has been such a success.
