  • The mission of the Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees is to focus on the knowledge, skills, and character development of each of our students by providing policies, oversight, and support to ensure continued district growth and improvement.

The local School Board concept grew out of American history dating back more than 300 years. Times have changed, but the basic function of School Boards remains the same: to provide local citizen supervision and control over education at a point close to the parent and child. This means that the School Board should represent the citizens of the school district — not just some of the citizens — all of them. Because different citizens have different ideas about schools, this responsibility always presents a challenge.

The ultimate responsibility for public education rests with the state. Texas has delegated much of that responsibility to the local School Board. Within the framework of state and federal law, and State Board of Education and Commissioner of Education rules, local school districts have significant latitude in shaping the educational programs of their schools.

Because a School Board is a governmental body, it can take action only by majority vote at a legally called public meeting. The individual Board Member’s major responsibility is to study, evaluate, and deliberate the policy issues confronting his or her district; then to vote in the best interest of ALL students. A Board Member who steps out of the policy-making role and attempts — without authorization — to speak for the total Board, direct members of the staff, interfere with the administration of policy, or make other individual decisions, is exceeding his or her authority.

With a focus on student achievement and development, Fort Bend ISD continues to offer outstanding educational opportunities, both in the classroom and through a broad array of extracurricular activities.

One of the district’s greatest strengths lies in its multicultural diversity. Students in FBISD schools represent more than 25 countries, and students and their families speak more than 100 languages. Among its numerous honors, the district has been lauded for offering an exemplary education by the National Association of Music Merchants and the United States Presidential Scholars Program. About the school

The opening of the working youth school was justified by the situation in the war-torn country, where people were already thinking about a future peaceful life, and that soon the country would need competent personnel.

On October 9, 1943, by order of the Krasnodar city department of public education, No. 96, the school met its students for the first time. Thousands of young and old people sat down at desks across the country. Since that time, an open (replaceable) general education school No. 3 has begun. nine0005

The state organized a new type of educational institutions, a new type of general education school, which made it possible for working boys and girls to continue and complete their studies.

On October 9, 1943, a network of evening schools was created in the city of Krasnodar.
The first director of the secondary school for working youth No. 3 was Alexander Vasilyevich Vazhin, he taught chemistry and directed the school until 1951.
From 1975 to 2000, the captain’s watch at the helm of the school was carried by Lyudmila Petrovna Panteleeva. Veteran of Labor, Excellence in Public Education, Honored Teacher of the USSR, teacher of the Russian language and literature. Under the leadership of Lyudmila Petrovna, the school became the base school at the regional institute for the improvement of teachers, where seminars were held annually for the directors of evening schools in the Krasnodar Territory and open lessons were given in all academic subjects. nine0043 Lyudmila Petrovna stood at the foundations of the introduction of the system of continuous education: students of the evening school, along with secondary education, received professional education in the following specialties: junior nurse, salesman, cook, car mechanic, accountant. The education system then was two-year.
The number of students in the school reached 1000 people, despite the fact that in those years there were 5 more evening schools in Krasnodar.

In 1999, by order of the Department of Education of the Western District of the city of Krasnodar dated 02.11.1999 No. 16-u, the school of working youth No. 3 was renamed into an open (shift) general education school No. 3.
From 2000 to 2002 the school was headed by Viktor Mikhailovich Kirilchuk. Viktor Mikhailovich was a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Yakut ASSR, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Yakutia. He was awarded the medal “For Valiant Labor”, has the title of “Veteran of Labour”.

From 2002 to 2005, Valentina Ivanovna Pilipenko worked as the director of the school. History and social studies teacher. Currently he teaches history at the Krasnodar Gymnasium No. 3. nine0005

In 2005, Natalya Yuryevna Khasanova became the director of the school. Under her leadership, three Krasnodar evening schools were reorganized and merged into one. MBOU O (S) OSH No. 3 was joined in 2012 by MBOU O (S) OSH No. 2, and in 2014 MBOU V (S) OSH No. 6, to which earlier, in 2010, MOU V (S) OSH No. 9.
Under the leadership of Natalya Yuryevna, the school switched to a new curriculum, new subjects appeared, the list of optional and elective classes was significantly expanded. When in 2008 the school moved from the old building located on the street. Budyonny, in a building located at: st. North, 269, the great efforts of the team were aimed at carrying out repairs and creating comfort in the new house. Natalya Yuryevna was awarded the badge “Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation”.

Our school has something to be proud of: its achievements, considering success in obtaining certificates for students who have a long break in education and returned to school, feeling the need and need for education. Many of them join the ranks of skilled workers and employees, middle managers, which is fully consistent with the tasks that the state sets for society. nine0005

For many years, students of the school have completely overcome the threshold of success at the Unified State Examination in the Russian language and mathematics, show high results in general education subjects, receive certificates with honors and medals “For special achievements in learning”, are winners of subject Olympiads at various levels.

During the entire period, educational work is carried out in MKOU O (S) 0Sh No. 3: it has become a good tradition to hold a month of mass defense work and military-patriotic education. During this period, a large number of various events are held, great attention is paid to educational activities, interaction with the Council of Veterans, work with pre-conscription youth, and volunteer activities. The guys visit memorable places, go to the hospital to veterans. Particular attention is paid to the creative activity of schoolchildren. nine0005

In 2021, the school was transformed into secondary school No. 97.

Abstract

All over the world, the problem of maintaining a stable compensation of diabetes mellitus in an outpatient setting is currently receiving much attention. Taking into account modern therapeutic possibilities, it can be said with confidence that the introduction of a patient education system into clinical diabetology is a real way to increase the effectiveness of treatment and preventive care. Due to the importance of this problem, it is relevant to introduce into practice a properly organized system of training patients and their families in self-control methods, which leads to the achievement of stable compensation for the disease, a decrease in the frequency of acute complications, a decrease in the duration of hospitalization, and better social adaptation of patients. nine0005

All over the world, the problem of maintaining stable compensation of diabetes mellitus in outpatient settings is currently receiving much attention. Considering modern therapeutic possibilities, it can be said with confidence that the introduction of a patient education system into clinical dnabetology is a real way to increase the effectiveness of treatment and preventive care.

In connection with the importance of this problem, it is topical to introduce into practice a properly organized system of training patients and their families in self-control methods, which leads to the achievement of stable compensation for the disease, a decrease in the frequency of acute complications, a decrease in the duration of hospitalization, and better social adaptation of patients. nine0005

Given the relevance and prospects of this area, in September 1991, on the basis of the children’s diabetic department of the ERC RAMS, a “School for teaching self-control of children with diabetes mellitus and their parents” was organized. Its creation was due to a number of reasons: the high incidence of diabetes mellitus among children of various ages, including among young children (up to 3 years old), the need for frequent changes in insulin doses and insulin therapy regimens due to an increase in the need for it of a growing body and/or intercurrent disease, high physical activity of children. In addition, in almost all cases, the problems associated with the control of diabetes mellitus are assigned in the family to the parents, who are often not mentally prepared for this. Their knowledge is limited to very primitive concepts of diabetes mellitus, and qualified endocrinological control at the place of residence is often absent. nine0005

Conducting classes both among children and parents whose children have diabetes mellitus leaves a certain imprint on the construction of the education system itself. The optimal number of students in a group is 5-10. Conventionally, they are divided into two subgroups: adolescents over 12 years old and parents, regardless of the age of their child. The inclusion of younger children in the learning process requires a special approach, taking into account the characteristics of the child psychology of this age group.

Education at the school is held daily for 10 days for 1.5 hours. Longer classes lead to a decrease in concentration and learning of the material. At the beginning of the training, a written survey is conducted on two types of questionnaires – for children and parents. Both questionnaires contain tests that reflect the level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus, awareness of self-control issues, as well as the attitude of children and parents to their personal health. After the end of the course, a similar survey is conducted, reflecting the effectiveness of the classes and the degree of assimilation of the material. nine0005

The learning process provides for familiarization with the basic concepts of diabetes mellitus: its genesis, issues of insulin therapy, nutrition, the role of physical activity, complications. Particular attention is paid to practical topics related to the correction of the dose of insulin at home, depending on age, the addition of an intercurrent disease, the degree of physical activity and the individual psycho-emotional status of the child. Important – ; A new role is assigned to nutrition issues using the concept of “bread unit”, the role of physical exercise “as a factor that favorably affects the course of the disease. nine0005

Taking into account the vulnerability of the child’s psyche and the emotional state of parents, issues related to the complications of diabetes mellitus, which are characteristic of an older contingent of patients, are considered in less detail. Attention is not focused on such serious and dangerous consequences of diabetes as blindness, “diabetic foot”, severe nephropathy with an outcome in chronic renal failure, arterial hypertension. The main emphasis in the learning process is on diabetic retinopathy and cataracts, distal polyneuropathy, diabetic nephropathy. nine0005

Working with parents of children under the age of 5 who fell ill for the first time presents a special psychological difficulty during the entire course of classes. Working with them requires patience and perseverance, especially at first, when many of them are focused on finding various means of curing diabetes. Often, for this purpose, they resort to the help of non-traditional methods of treatment, which leads not only to a sharp deterioration in the condition of children after discharge from the hospital, but also to their rapid re-hospitalization in a pre-coma or comatose state. Therefore, the learning process addresses such issues as the course and clinical manifestations of diabetes mellitus in young children, the manipulation of small doses of insulin to achieve and maintain compensation for the disease, the selection of an adequate diet, taking into account the age characteristics of the child and his eating habits before the disease. After graduation, parents should learn to perceive their child’s diabetes as a chronic disease, for which they will bear responsibility for many years. nine0005

In the pubertal period, there are also certain difficulties in compensating for diabetes mellitus, due not only to hormonal changes in the body, but also to frequent psycho-emotional stresses typical of this age. With this in mind, the topics of training are also planned. It includes such moments as the need to increase the daily dose of insulin, often higher than the traditional one, dietary issues due to frequent conscious violations of the diet.

All the recommendations given to children and parents, of course, are feasible only if there are means of self-control of glycemia, glucosuria and acetonuria. Since the problem of the almost complete absence of these funds is one of the most urgent, all students at school are guided by the control of the disease, primarily by the level of glucosuria using such a common device as a polarimeter. nine0005

The ultimate goal of schooling should be not only to teach sick children and their families about diabetes, but also to change their behavior and lifestyle. Only the fulfillment of these conditions will lead to the fact that children, being at home, will feel good, together with their parents they will not feel completely dependent on the doctor, they will be able to independently cope with those problems that only a doctor could solve before, and, in the end, will be much better socially adapted. nine0005

At present, in the absence of radical methods for the prevention and treatment of type 1 diabetes, self-management should be an important component of any national diabetes health program. This was also emphasized in the materials of the St.
