Attending online school is similar to brick-and-mortar schools in both curriculum and structure. Students attend live virtual classes with a state-certified teacher, and assignments involve both online and offline work. The curriculum is structured in a way that helps all students continue to grow as they progress through the grade levels.
There are also many opportunities to connect with peers through social clubs and offline activities. When you choose a Stride K12-powered online school in San Antonio, your student experiences comprehensive learning that comes alive, anywhere.
HOW ONLINE SCHOOL WORKS
Personalized Learning for Unique Students
At Stride K12, we’ve created a personalized learning environment that can be tailored to your child’s individual needs. The accessible interface allows you to customize the schedule in a way that supports how your student learns best. Students can also spend extra time with any topics they find challenging without falling behind.
Parent Involvement
Stride K12-powered online schools in San Antonio provide Learning Coaches (parents or other responsible adults) with unprecedented access to their student’s progress in school. This enables you and the teacher to intervene and support your student in the most effective ways to keep them on track.
Parents of elementary school students should expect to spend 4–6 hours per day supporting their child’s education. Middle school and high school students require less parental involvement, and the time commitment for adults supporting older students averages 1–3 hours per day.

The Colegio San Antonio Early Childhood Education Center was first opened in 1948, when he was under the jurisdiction of the religious order of the Capuchins. Today, the school, which locals call “Madrid’s Brooklyn”, has become known throughout Spain for its cultural richness and ethnic diversity.
The fact is that for 170 young pupils of the center of 19 nationalities there is only one Spaniard. The Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Morocco, Paraguay, China … – people from all over the world have not seen these walls. nine0003
The classrooms here are not known for their technological equipment or innovative methods. Old green desks, a primitive blackboard and a couple of computers with intermittently hanging Internet turned out to be quite enough to master the curriculum. At the same time, the performance of school students is one of the best in Madrid and significantly exceeds the average for the entire autonomy, and the number of truants is zero.
As Luis Peña, the director of the educational institution, is sure, the main secret of the productivity of the local education lies, first of all, in an individual approach to learning. In particular, today there are already at least 70 students in the ranks of the center who need special adaptation of the basic school curriculum. Here they are not only developed individual exercises to tighten their “weak points”, but also provide the opportunity to study subjects at their own (even the slowest) pace. nine0003
Peña considers the limitless patience and active participation of teachers in the lives of their pupils as other equally important components of success; a reasonable number of students per class, never exceeding 20; strict control of attendance and homework, as well as an emphasis on fundamental disciplines. So, practically not a single day of students from 3 to 12 years old is complete without dictations and mathematical calculations.
Parents of would-be geeks are not left out either, and Colegio San Antonio regularly invites them to spectacular intercultural festivities with traditional food, songs and dances from their respective countries. nine0003
What is most surprising is that training at the center is absolutely free. And the Ayuda en Acción Charitable Foundation and other non-governmental organizations pay for the cost of food and educational materials for schoolchildren.
