About UCP Middle & High School (Transitional Learning Academy)

UCP’s Middle and High School is home to our Transitional Learning Academy Program that serves middle and high school students with disabilities and individualized education programs (IEPs). The campus is located in Orlando’s South of Downtown Orlando district (SODO) and serves middle and high school students with disabilities from all across Orange County. We built this program to help these students achieve their middle and high school education in an accepting culture, at a campus designed to support their accessibility needs.

TLA currently offers two distinct diploma tracks.

  1. The Standard Diploma track

  2. The Standard Diploma for students with disabilities, which utilizes Florida Access Points as their curriculum.

Our TLA middle and high school programs are tuition-free charter school programs that provides extra attention to those students that need it to be successful in school and in life. These programs include the following:

  • Small group instruction

  • Project-based learning

  • Social skills development

  • Pre-vocational exploration

  • Educational Therapy (Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, & Occupational Therapy)

We also offer a TLA Post Graduate Program is designed for that final push into adulthood between 18 and 21 years old. In order to prepare our students for the real world, we built this program to provide hands-on experience to get our students ready for a post-secondary career! TLA offers a variety of experiences, such as:

  • Daily living skills
