   Parent: Office staff so sweet. Principal Deegan always involved and available everyday. My kids are in 1st and 2nd grade and teachers are readily available to communicate with. Whatever degree a parent wants to be involved is factor because the resources and staff are available. My kids reading skyrocketed when they moved to Workman from Rancho Cucamonga district. They are now in the top 82 percentile for the country according to their latest test scores. My daughter had Mrs Dragoo and now Mrs Camacho and she loves them both. My son has Mrs Taylor and is very happy and challenged and doing excellent. The school work is vigorous and challenging especially being a computer science magnet school and doing coding as young as kindergarten, but my kids need and enjoy and rise to the challenge. Frankly, they would be bored and distracted without it. Valuable education for these kids growing up in these high tech times…. Read 1 review

Based on five culture pillars, students have had a unique opportunity to create a new campus culture from scratch, and I think we can say that we’ve done it, and we’ve done it well. Even throughout distance learning, teachers have been and still are supportive, flexible, and easy to reach. Teachers provide extra help and support to students who need it, and care about all of their students and their mental health.

   Senior: I love a lot of things about International Polytechnic High School. ..but not the mouthful of a name. We call it IPoly for short. The courses are designed to teach every student various useful skills, such as sewing, video editing, writing professional resumes and emails, and public speaking. IPoly is so tight-knit that you rarely ever hear even a whisper about bullying, violence, or drugs there, and all LGBTQIA+ personalities are very much accepted. The main drawback is that we lack in traditional school hype. The few clubs there aren’t well-known (even to the students on campus), we need to go to a neighboring school to play in sports teams, and very few people get excited for ASB events. Also, we don’t have an official cafeteria, so most students either get the free lunch provided at school or venture onto the neighboring campus of CalPoly – Pomona for lunch. This is normally a bit of an inconvenience. But, on the bright side, it gives one the chance to be on a college campus…. Read 271 reviews

   Senior: My experience at South Hills has been very good, I would say that my freshmen year was my favorite. Everything was new to me and I loved going to the really good events they put non like the rallies and football games. The main goal for the students at my school is to show what you know and be the best of the best. South Hills has many things to offer, a variety of clubs to join, a student union where students can hang out, and even a wellness center where kids can go when they are having a hard time. Most of the teachers here care about their students and wants what’s best for them and this helps a lot when getting motivation to do the work. ASB does such a good job putting together rallies for the students when it comes to homecoming, prom, havoc in the hills etc. In addition, everyone here is very accepting and loves to have a good time so it make the experience of going to school one to remember for the rest of my life and i’m proud nto my a south hills huskie! south hills!… Read 419 reviews

4. Alum: This school is amazing, and so was my expirience as a student there. There are many factors that make this school exceptional. Such as the teachers, lessons, students, and field trips. The teachers had a huge impact in my expirence. They were so motivated and cheerful that is was contagious. The lessons they taught were so engaging and creative. The students there hold such great personalities, that they make you want to go to school. But what really makes this middle school amazing are the field trips. At the end of each year, the top 30 highest acheiveing student are awarded to go to places such as San Francisco, and National Yellowstone, and Washington DC for a whole entire week.    Alum: Covina High School is a very good institution that is part of the Covina Valley Unified School District K-12. It is pretty good with academics, from Special Education to Advanced Placement; it has many resources for the academicily challenged person, too. Although, the teachers, college readiness, resources, and food were average or below average; they make everybody feel inclusive and accepted as a Colt. They do have resources for special need students. The parents and sports give the school spirit and pride; it is the highlight of the Covina High School. The STEM program is very good for science students; bonus, the school has its own farm with live animals. It is part of the FFA which teaches students agricultural science. The art department, on the other hand, is great for lovers in abstract and creativity.    Senior: During my time at Charter Oak High School, I was able to pick up on many of the campus’s norms and daily functions. The majority of people were very welcoming and friendly, and there was always something going on; whether it was the weekly Charter Oak news and Q&A’s with students around the campus, or the fun and interactive events that were usually brought together by the craftsmanship of the students themselves. With that said, a lot of the older kids inspired us to keep a school spirit, regardless of how hard situations got. Not only did students become more involved over time, but a form of identity seemed to form for these people as well. Clubs expanded in options and everyone had equal opportunities to participate and contribute to a great cause through their own talents and efforts. I would encourage everyone to attend Northview and become a viking, it really is a family at the view and the students/staff welcome new students with open arms and is willing to help as much as they can in any way possible! This school is unique because they not only teach them the criteria for middle school, they always prepare students for college.     Senior: I’ve had an excellent experience at Mt. SAC Academy so far. We are offered a variety of college classes to take while still working on our high school ones, it’s a little hard but definitely worth it. The emotional support from our staff and counselors is so helpful during your journey at Mt. SAC. They’re always looking out for you and help is always an email away if ever needed. If there’s any clubs you like but aren’t available, students are always welcome to start a petition to make their own club. We also have activism clubs, volunteering, and mental health awareness. The campus is beautiful as well, always super clean. Overall, my experience was wonderful and I’d recommend it to so many dedicated high school students who are interested in getting a jump start on college credits. Senior: When I was first told I was going to attend the SAE, I was extremely intimidated because I knew I was going to be surrounded with extremely talented artists where I felt I would never catch up. Instead the SAE helped me turn that intimidation into motivation to want to better myself as an artist, student, and a person. One of the many admirable quality the SAE has is the community. There is a consistency of students playing an instrument, dancing, singing, drawing, and performing during their breaks. It shows the freedom to unlock their creative excellence and be as expressive as they possibly can be. I do however, wish they SAE would have more extracurriculars such as a variety of clubs, after school programs, and more leadership opportunities. Now that we’re here, happy with our experience. I’m confident in their safety protocols. Across the board, everyone has been attentive, accommodating, responsive, focused on the individual students and where they’re at, holistic in their approach and considers social/emotional growth. 30. Parent: We couldn’t be happier at CHAMPS. My daughter is finishing her freshman year in the dance academy, and she’s thriving academically, socially, and in her dance and theater studies. The staff and administration is friendly, fun, caring, great at communication – just top notch. She selected the theater academy as her top choice but was placed in the dance academy, which was a lucky thing for her. The dance training is excellent, with a variety of styles, guest instructors, fun development opportunities, and a great team of teachers and students – plus college credits!
