   Junior: I love this school. The students are surprisingly accepting of people: I have only ever encountered a few rude students. The academics are great, the afterschool activities are great… the only things I have to complain about are the stress levels due to schoolwork and the cafeteria food!
   I’m a part of the theatre department, and it is without doubt one of my favorite things about the school. Family friends who have come to see our shows say that they forgot that they were watching a high school performance. There is a lot of time and effort that the students, teachers, and volunteers alike put into these shows, but the memories are worth it.
   Similar praise goes to our band program. We have been asked to perform throughout Europe and the US, but we prefer to only travel once a year.
   The athletics are a huge part of the culture. All of the athletes are so talented. Fair warning, though: If you’re looking for a good cheerleading school, cross River Hill off of the list…. Read 347 reviews

Although we have faced recent redistricting accommodations, it has lead our community to grow closer. Atholton is also reputable for their great clubs. They have an excellent student government association and great class officers. They also have a superb club called Be the Change, one focused on advocacy and spreading awareness of issues they’re passionate about within their community.    Alum: Words I would use to describe the good side of my experience/ what I have noticed about Burleigh (not just super personal but more tied to the school) –
   Valuable, Challenging, Safe, Loving, Academic, Compelling, and Brisk
   Pros:
   -Pushes you to do and be better
   -Has lots of good/chill teachers
   -Don’t worry too much if you have a hard time as a person making friends. People at first here may be intimidating because of competitiveness, but I’ve made friends over academics and association and it was enjoyable (you can find SOME place to fit in, just try a little)
   -Diverse
   -Lunch choices are nice/fine
   Cons:
   -In my experience, I have only had or felt 2 bad experiences with 2 teachers. One of them was just a little too over rigorous (in ways that weren’t academic but unreasonably meticulous at times… don’t worry it wasn’t math or English)
   -They need to add mirrors in the girl’s bathroom and add new durable curtains to the changing room. (When I was there I noticed this)

    Middle School Student: The teachers are all very kind for the most part and definitely try to always push you to your full potential. They take their time with teaching and really seem to like their roles in the community. I experienced kindness from most students, however I struggled to socialize and keep lots of friends due to personal dilemmas (couldn’t hang out at all outside of school hours and hence it was hard to get super close to other students). One thing I would love to see is breaks between classes. Being in one tiny building with nothing but learning for almost 7 hours (excluding lunch) can get tiring. Excel High School Credit Transfer Policy

Excel High School welcomes credit transfers from other accredited schools in the US and from schools around the world. Excel High School accepts credits from other accredited high schools recognized by the US Department of Education, public schools, charter schools, qualified home schools, and accredited international schools recognized by a foreign Department of Education. nine0014

Excel High School has adopted the following credit transfer policy. Excel High School will accept up to 75% credit towards a high school diploma. This means that no matter how many credits a student has received in a previous school, they must complete a minimum of 5-6 credits in the EHS before they can be awarded a diploma.

International Students and Transfer Loans

International/Foreign (Non-US) loans are accepted if reviewed and assessed by one of the agencies listed below. Our assessment partners are members of the National Association of Diploma Assessment Services (NACES). International students wishing to transfer credits to EHS from outside the US must obtain an assessment of their credits from one of the organizations listed below. Students are responsible for organizing the work of credit assessors and forwarding the transcript report to Excel High School. Students are responsible for all fees. Transfer credit reports must be sent directly from the Diploma Assessment Service to Excel High School. We do not accept transcripts directly from students. This is the only way Excel High School accepts credits from other countries. nine0155 Excel High School requires assessment of all transferred credits in each subject.

• IMPORTANT: Excel requires credits, a list of subjects, and grades in the grade report.

Apostille/Legalization Services

**For students residing overseas, Excel High School provides Apostille/Legalization Services through the US Secretary of State, or we can certify your diploma and transcript through the US Secretary of State and attach the seal of the embassy of your home district. This is the process of certifying your educational credentials for acceptance and use worldwide.
