The following message was sent August 16, 2022 at 5:00 p. m. to all Middle School families with an email in our mass communication system:
Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) is excited to announce the start of athletics at our middle schools for the 2022-2023 school year. All HCPS middle schools will offer boys and girls basketball in the winter and boys and girls soccer in the spring.
Middle school athletics will be modeled after the athletics program in our high schools. It will be student-centered and intended to educate students through participation in Interscholastic Athletics. Participation in middle school athletics requires students to be academically eligible each quarter moving forward. Academic eligibility means students will be required to have all passing grades on their quarterly report card.

Academics and Curriculum
The Harford County Public School System maintains a reasonably uniform system of education for
its youth, providing educational
experiences and opportunities designed to meet unique student needs. Curriculum in various skill
areas, in the academic disciplines, and in the arts is developed, implemented, evaluated and
revised on a systemwide basis so that each student receives a well-balanced, carefully
articulated,
and appropriately diversified education.
Curriculum provides the organization and structure for that which is to be learned, so that the
instructional and assessment
practices of teachers facilitate student mastery of the essential learnings. In order for
students
to demonstrate the highest levels of mastery of the learnings established by the Harford County
Public School System, the curriculum must be designed, developed, and implemented with the
appropriate
scope, focus, balance, and alignment so that effective direction is given to instructional and
assessment practices.
Like all other successful school systems, the Harford County Public School System must
continually ensure through curriculum
that what is taught continues to reflect the very best knowledge and practice in all subject
areas. A strong, responsive curriculum conveys a powerful, positive vision connecting students
to the future. Students must be enabled, through curriculum, to envision that future and must
be prepared to successfully meet the challenges and issues, which will confront them.

Programs:

Beverly Hills: Film Actors and Social Life
Beverly Hills is a glamorous city that does not belong to Los Angeles, but is surrounded on all sides by its districts. Hollywood actors prefer to settle here. Film actors and other celebrities began to come here at the beginning of the 20th century. In particular, the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov lived in the mansion on Elm Drive until 1943. In 2014, the creator of the Minecraft computer game Markus Persson bought a house here for $70 million. In the same year, another property, the Palazzo di Amore estate, was put up for sale for 19$5 million, but never sold.
There are over a hundred boutiques in Beverly Hills, including shops on the famous Rodeo Drive. There are many famous five-star restaurants here, including Bouchon, Scarpetta, Spago and Cut. There are good schools in the area, perfect cleanliness is observed. On the territory of residential complexes there are parking lots where you can leave your car for free for one to two hours.

20 facts you might not know about the ‘fresh prince of Bel-Air’
Article
top-leaderboard-limit ‘> Fanpop
1.
Will Smith only agreed to do the show because he was heavily indebted to the IRS.
Smith rose to prominence as the rapper of The Fresh Prince, and with that fame came a significant jump in earnings. Unfortunately, Smith didn’t manage his money wisely and didn’t pay enough income taxes, and he owed the government a whopping $2.8 million. The IRS confiscated most of his property, including his income. The Fresh Prince almost filed for bankruptcy – until producer Quincy Jones chose him for a role in a new series, and The Prince of Beverly Hills was born.
2. And he had to pay.
The IRS forced Smith to pay them 70 percent of his salary for the first three seasons.
3. He was almost a complete beginner.
Smith had only one TV series under his belt – a T-shirt salesman on ABC’s post-school specials – when he accepted a role on the show. Fresh Prince , and confused by his earliest appearances on the show. He never had a formal acting education, and in some cases his lack of experience was painfully obvious. “I tried so hard,” he said. “I memorized the script in its entirety, and then stuck to the lines of everyone while they spoke. When I watch these episodes, it’s disgusting. My performances were terrible.”
4. Tyra Banks made her acting debut on the show.
She played Smith’s on-screen girlfriend, Jackie, in an episode of the fourth season.
Is Philadelphia based on real events?
5. The house in the entry is not in Bel Air.
Instead, the house pictured is located in nearby (and equally affluent) Brentwood.
6. Carlton’s dance was inspired by Courteney Cox and Eddie Murphy.
“There was a video of Bruce Springsteen and Courteney Cox called ‘Dancing in the Dark’ and Bruce Springsteen gets her on stage and she’s basically dancing,” said actor Alfonso Ribeiro. And it was also from Eddie Murphy’s “Mad” comedy video where he does the “white man dance.” And I ended up taking those two dances and combining them and making them my own and making them my character. ”
7. Geoffrey had a last name.
The surname of the ever-snarky butler from the Banks family was … Butler. (His middle name was Barbara.)
8. Nicky’s middle names were inspired by Boyz II men.
The audience first met Nicky in the third season, after he was born to Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv. His full name is Nicholas Andrew, Michael Sean, Nathan Vanya Banks. What are the names of the members of Boyz II Men? Michael, Sean, Nathan and Vanya. A four-member R&B group performed at Nicky’s christening in a season four episode.
9. What is a taxi driver?
Many sites (including IMDb) claim that Quincy Jones is driving a taxi with cubes in the mirror. But according to Rashida Jones (Quincy’s daughter) and Jada Pinkett Smith, the credited taxi driver is “absolutely not” a Q. Also, thanks to a car accident at age 14 in which he was a passenger, Jones never learned to drive.
10. Smith met his wife Jada Pinkett Smith while auditioning for the show.
She originally auditioned for the role of Will’s on-screen girlfriend. She didn’t get the role, but that didn’t stop the couple from getting married at 19.97 year.

Will Smith was more than just a sitcom star. He also helped write stories and produced some episodes, including “There’s Nothing Like Show Business” in its third season. In this episode, Will’s friend Keith Campbell, a comedian from Philadelphia, comes to him and looks at the bar so easily that Will decides to pursue a career in comedy.
12. Two different actresses played Aunt Vivian.
Janet Hubert played the character for the first three seasons; Daphne Maxwell Reed played Aunt Vivian for the last three seasons. Janet Hubert said the producers offered her a 10-episode contract that prevented her from doing any other acting work. When she refused, the producers refused to negotiate and recast the role.
13. There were many famous guest stars.
Jay Leno, Queen Latifah and Hugh Hefner were guests on the show.
14. The actors kept a diary.
Earlier this year, Karyn Parsons, who played Hilary Banks, told ABC News about a notebook she kept in a drawer on the kitchen island on set, which she took with her after the show ended. “At times the cameraman or the actors, someone would just write stupid poetry or ‘James gets on my nerves’,” she said. “We made little notes and I took them. I need to get this out, especially now that James has passed away because I know it’s in there. I know what has been written about him.”
15. The show was canceled and returned.
Following the cancellation of NBC’s Fresh Prince , Smith’s character returned to Philadelphia in the season four finale. However, after outrage from fans, NBC decided to bring the show back; its fifth season opens with an NBC executive dragging Smith into a van to take him back to California, saying, “It’s called The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, not The Fresh Prince of Philadelphia. ” The series ended up running for six seasons.
16. The musical theme caused the closure of the school.
In 2013, The Prince of Bel-Air The title song caused the school to close. A secretary from Ambridge Area High School in Pennsylvania called a student to remind him of an upcoming meeting. He didn’t answer and the secretary was directed to the student’s answering machine. In his response message, the student imitated the theme song of the show, and the administrator thought he said “shoot people outside the school” and not “shoot the ball outside the school.” The local police took the student into custody, but he was later released.
17. You probably can’t get the soundtrack.
Would you like to receive the soundtrack on CD Fresh Prince ? You may need to take a plane to the Netherlands to get to it; It was originally only released in Holland, where an extended remix version of the title track reached No. 3 on the singles chart in 1992. The songs are now available for download online via Spotify and elsewhere.
18. The show was parodied.
There are several parodies of the show. Mad TV released an animated Bel Air Fresh Shrimp . Pet Adoption Group produced Bel Air Fresh Puppy .

Nancy Reagan, the widow of former President Ronald Reagan, has died in her own home in Bel Air in Los Angeles. The cause of death was heart failure.
A frame from the Associated Press video.
The death of Nancy Reagan has been confirmed at the Reagan Library. According to the BBC, in 1981-89 she was one of the most influential first ladies in US history.
She will be buried next to her husband at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
Nancy Reagan survived her husband by 12 years, who actually died in her arms on June 5, 2004 at her home in Bel Air, Los Angeles, at the age of 93. At the time of his death, Ronald Reagan was ill with pneumonia due to Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy took care of her sick husband for a long time.
Nancy Davis herself was also an actress in the 1940s and 1950s before she married Reagan, also a famous actor.
Nancy Reagan initiated an expensive renovation of the White House and ordered designer dresses worth a million dollars. For this, she was criticized a lot, but then she took root in the minds of Americans in precisely this way.
Nancy Reagan was very ill before her death.
