Risdon Middle School Reviews

Rating 5 out of 5  3 reviews

My son attended private school all his life and is currently all honors here, so take the review as you wish. Just in our experience so far, this school is top notch in all areas: math, science, language arts, orchestra. We could not be happier with the number of opportunities (clubs) within the school as well as in the Renton School District. If I could go back in time, I would have put him through the public school system, specifically Risdon. It is a challenging but supportive school. Thank you, Risdon staff!

As a student and the younger sister of a former student, I’ve been acquainted with Risdon Middle School since its opening. I love it there– Its band and orchestra feel like home and there are amazing teachers there. However, they only offer one language class (Spanish, 8th grade only) and aren’t very challenging in terms of Language Arts. Science and History are pretty decent and standard. Mathematically, Risdon offers a solid range of challenges, letting students go as far as 2 math classes above their grade. (For example in 7th grade, you can take either Math 7, Math Honors, Math 7/8, or Algebra 1).
Overall a great school and facility. 8/10

Risdon middle school is an amazing school. My child went here all three years from when it first opened, and I have to say that they give great education here. They give students so many opportunities and elective choices! This school is great for preparing students for high school; and the teachers are really caring and supportive! My child loved their experience here and I recommend that people check it out. Staff is amazing and they make sure all students are treated with respect. All the bullying here comes to an end for the safety of students. My child has always felt safe here. And the school is really diverse! Amazing school!!
