Carousel Child Care

Carla Gill has cared for my son for over three years, from the age of 3 months until 3.10. Our family has had a wonderful experience with her care. She provides a warm home environment that I am grateful my son has been able to spend his days in. Carla is very particular with each child’s individualneeds and gives them personalized attention. She has taken a vested interest in my son as a person, starting with helping him through sitting up and his first solids through potty training. As he has grown, Carla has worked with him on academic development such as colors, letters, shapes – and now actual reading. She even helped him learn his ABCs in French. He has thrived under her teaching and is well ahead in reading and numbers for his age. The children are able to have free play inside and outside in the good weather, so there is plenty of unstructured time as well. My son is now entering full day preschool and I’m very sad to leave Carousel Child Care as it has been such a positive part of his life….

Debbie’s Child Care

My daughter stayed with Debbie from a year and a half until she was three. Not only is Debbie an incredible and supportive person, she also rarely closes (which is excellent for demanding jobs). She taught my daughter all of the things she needed to learn at her age (and more), but, mostimpressively, she taught my daughter to be assertive and to say no! I was so happy when she came home and began to assert her own personal space. That isn’t something she could have learned from and daycare center (and we’ve been to a lot). If I could have stayed with her, I would have. I highly, highly recommend Debbie….

Little Angels Family Child Care

As first time parents of a premie, we were very nervous to start the daycare process. We met with a few providers but nothing felt right until we met Kathleen. She made us feel comfortable from our very first phone call. Not only is she warm and welcoming, but you can sense her experience rightaway, which immediately put us at ease. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has become my sounding board for all things baby (and soon toddler!). I’m deeply grateful for the role she plays not just as my son’s daycare provider, but as a member of our “village,” our family.
Being a working mom is really hard, but knowing how well taken care of, and loved, my son is makes it easier. Kathleen is wonderful about updating us about his day and if I need extra check-ins she’s always quick to respond, which is so reassuring. Kathleen plays with the kids, reads to them, dances with them and teaches them how to be kind to one another. She is endlessly patient and gives each child the attention and support they need.
My son truly loves Kathleen and is excited to see her every morning. My husband and I adore her (and her family) and feel deeply grateful we found her. We truly can’t recommend her highly enough!…

Red Apple

100% would HIGHLY recommend Red Apple Daycare. We enrolled our daughter here at 3 months and Jing was nothing but perfect. She was careful with protocol, caring, attentive, and an excellent provider, and would share daily pictures and videos. This is our first child and not knowing what to expectmade us nervous, which was quickly solved because Jing had our daughter smiling every morning at drop-off and every evening at pickup. She would still be attending if we didn’t move! 10/10!…

Dear Families,
My name is Carla and I am a state licensed EEC childcare provider. I am CPR certified and have first aid training skills. I have had background checks as part of my licensing requirement. I keepcurrent on all required course work and learning workshops provided by the state. I worked at a private preschool for 1 year before deciding to venture into family home childcare. I also am licensed as an EEC preschool teacher.
Although I am licensed for 6 children, I prefer 2 or 3 at a time. I cared for a set of twins for 1 1/2 years and love it. They left for a preschool spot at 2.9 years. They are very much still a part of my family. I then cared for a 3 year old toddler and newborn that were from the neighborhood. Grandparents retired and wanted to look after them. Now, I am currently caring for a 9 month old. I would love to work with 1 other family that has 1 or 2 children.
I offer a great little program and a loving home environment. I have recommendations from previous parents and the director of the school. My daily routine consists of story time, music and movement, circle time, outdoor playtime and activities (40 x 40 fenced in space), arts & crafts and nap time. I love children and feel caring for them is the most important job you can have.
Please contact me at my email [email protected] or my cell#617-512-7041 with any questions you have. I would love for you to visit my home. I look forward to hearing from you.

Red Apple

91 Belmont St, Everett, MA 02149

Costimate: $351/wk

Description:

Red Apple is a bilingual family child care that provides a fun educational curriculum. Children will have a great day while they learn new things. The daily interaction with the children is what we find sosatisfying. We love watching the reading process unfold and never tire of helping children unlock the mysteries of print. We also love all the ways that children come to make sense of their world-through dramatic play, art, music, investigations, exploration, thinking mathematically, playing around with language. We like creating opportunities for their learning and supporting and challenging them as they figure things out.
Our daycare offers a range of educational services depending on the age of the child. For infants, we focus primarily on emotional development, relationship, and developmental tasks, and are acutely aware of the integrated nature of all these domains of development. We show them the appropriate ways to use the equipment. We make as much as more eye to eye interaction, verbal language, and appropriate equipment to help them to explore the world. We do skin-to-skin contact with infants to let them feel safe and secure. We guide them to practice sit, crawl, stand, walk, and develop their language skills.
Toddlers and Preschoolers children are given an explanation of what they are doing that is inappropriate and redirected or told what is appropriate. We guide them to practice sharing, helping, and cooperating. We help them to improve social/emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills. We plan the appropriate curriculum to improve their academic skills, such as literacy, problem-solving, and creative development.
I had obtained an Associate degree in Early Childhood and Education. I am in a home Daycare license by the State of MA, CPR, and First Aid Certify, also I am a licensed Early Education Teacher and Lead Teacher. Our language is English and Mandarin. We provide fresh homemade breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day to all children.
We hope the families could cooperate with us to support our children to be successful in meeting later school expectations.
Please contact me at my email: [email protected] or call my cell #617-669-7392 with any questions you have. I would love for you to visit my daycare.
I look forward to hearing from you.

When I worked for Terri little pumpkin it was POORLY and not operated by a professional who truly cared for the kids and staff needs . IN ORDER TO RUN a program your staff has to be trained and treated withrespect. It was a big mess I felt bad for the kids and the untrained ratchet teachers . So unstructured but not their fault. I see that it has new owners and as a director I pray that the staff gets the support and Trainings that is required to run a smooth and great environment so the children can learn all the milestones that will help them through there developmental needs. And yes the food was horrible) but again if it’s managed wrong, everything will be wrong. If you ever need training hours for your staff I can come in and train for an hour on different themes of curriculum, lesson plans , from classrooms designs and implementing , and different topics to help the teacher grow in her journey to child development . The key to a Great Childcare is having a great environment which starts off with administration and teachers then everything will fall into place for the children to grow and learn . Good luck I have passed by and it looks better then TLP…

FAQs for finding preschools in Saugus

In 2023 what types of preschool can I find near me in Saugus, MA?

There are two main types of preschool programs you can send your kids to in Saugus, MA. The first is a full-time preschool program that usually works well for parents working full-time shifts. The second is a part-time preschool program where you can enroll your child for 2-3 days per week and typically choose between a morning or afternoon shift. A part-time preschool can be a great option if you want to ease the transition of this new learning experience for your child. You can also check your options in Saugus, MA for traditional preschool centers, or private home-based preschools.

What should I look for in a good preschool program in Saugus, MA?

When you begin looking for preschools in Saugus, MA ask about the ratio of learning time to supervised play time so you can get a good sense of whether you believe your child’s needs will be met. From there, ask about what a typical day consists of, what the safety protocols are and how discipline will be handled. Also, make sure to check directly with the preschool for information about their local licensing and credentials in Saugus, MA.

How can I find a preschool near me in Saugus, MA?

There are currently 151 preschools in Saugus, MA on Care.com and you can filter these local results by distance from your zip code. From there, you can compare between preschool programs by traditional facility-based preschools and private, in-home preschools. 3 Small-Scale Daycares & Preschools in Saugus, MA

Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. 😉 Here’s what most parents want to know when starting out.

What is NeighborSchools?

Hey there, nice to meet you 👋 We’re a new-ish startup that helps new-ish parents find daycare.

We know how hard finding good child care can be – especially for first-time parents. But really good care is what gives you the peace of mind to go back to work and feel confident that your child is getting the stimulation, socialization, and support they need to learn and grow.

So we created NeighborSchools to make this piece of parenthood a whole lot easier. We say “easier” because, let’s be honest, it’s still a big thing to figure out, but working together we can help you find some good options, understand the whole process, and choose a program you’ll feel really good about.

How’s it work?

Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care – so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.

Is there a cost?

Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools – we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.

How do I know if I’m ready to take the survey?

Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If you’re planning 6+ months ahead, it’s a great way to get started, and if you’re hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, it’s definitely time to get started. Click here to start the survey.

How do I know if a daycare has openings?

Each program has a limited number of spots for each age range, so we need to know your schedule and child’s age before we can share availability. The survey covers these basics, as well as factors like drop-off and pick-up times to make sure that recommended programs fit your daily routine.
