Our son was not the easiest child to care for because he has a variety of allergies requiring a special diet and at times daily medication. We are in a large, single family homeright on Bluemont Park with two large, sunny playrooms, separate nap room, a deck, patio,and endless backyard! FEES
All 3 year olds pay for the program. All 3 year olds are introduced gradually so they have the opportunity to adjust to the class at their own pace. Two weeks of tuition is charged for the first month of tuition for new students. Returning students will be charged tuition fees for the entire month. Students 4 years of age with a household income of less than $113,840 for the 2023 school year do not pay a fee for that year.
Year 5 counts as kindergarten year. There is no fee for Kindergarten 2022-2023.

Bully Prevention and Intervention Plan
The Lawrence Public Schools Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan was developed in consultation with teachers, administrators, school nurses, counselors, parents, police department officials, students, and community representatives. The District is committed to providing all students with a safe learning environment free of bullying and cyberbullying. This commitment is an integral part of our comprehensive efforts to promote learning and to prevent and eliminate all forms of bullying and other harmful and destructive activities that may interfere with the learning process. Entry Age and Grade Change Policy
Lawrence Public Schools, in accordance with the Massachusetts Board of Education’s allowable entry age regulations, sets the age at which children are allowed to enter school. The Council of State requires that children be allowed to attend kindergarten in September of the calendar year in which they turn five years old. Accordingly, initial admissions to preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade should be based solely on chronological age.

Tenancy Policy
The School Board believes that its schools are “owned” by the citizens of Lawrence and therefore the use of the school premises by the community should be encouraged. However, given the level of responsibility in opening schools to the public, the Committee should establish specific rules, regulations and procedures to be followed by all such out-of-school groups in order to use school buildings and/or school grounds. Such rules, regulations and procedures may include: strict restrictions on timely notification, collection of monies and fees, requirements for the employment of police, guards or other supervisory personnel, or other restrictions as may be made public from time to time. Lawrence Public Schools recognizes the right of parents to educate their children outside of school, as provided for in Chapter 76 of the Common Law, Section 1.
The law requires, however, that a child who is educated outside of school must also was instructed. approved in advance by the head or a person authorized by him. The Lawrence Public School District does not endorse homeschooling programs for anything less than a full-time curriculum. nine0005

Safe School Policy
Lawrence Public Schools must maintain a safe and supportive educational environment where students and others can meet and enjoy without fear. Lawrence Public Schools will not tolerate violence or injury to staff or students, and will not tolerate the use of weapons (as defined in the School Guns Policy) at any school function or on the property of any school district.
Policy Committee of Public Schools. Lawrence regarding school safety and student discipline must be strictly and impartially enforced, criminal misconduct must be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and school district officials must cooperate with any subsequent criminal prosecution. The Lawrence School Board upholds the philosophy that every student, staff member and visitor should have the right to breathe clean air. Scientists have now identified passive smoking, the smoke inhaled involuntarily by non-smokers, as a contributing factor in major causes of preventable fatal diseases such as heart disease, lung cancer, stroke and chronic lung disease. Rejection Policy
School Allocation Policy for Lawrence Public Schools is based on schools in the neighborhood, placing students in the schools closest to their home with minimal exceptions for substantially separate specialty programs or when the school reaches its maximum capacity for any class.
