Elham Daycare
We cannot say enough nice things about Elham and her family, because she has been a loving, patient, and kind teacher and caretaker of our child for the past four years. She truly loves all her kids and treats them like family! Not only do we know our son is well taken care of in a clean, safe homewith a fun yard to play in, Elham is a great teacher and uses a preschool curriculum to teach all the basics in shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and writing starting at an early age. Our son never attended a typical pre-school, but starting school in the fall we know he is well prepared knowing alphabet and numbers, drawing shapes and letters, and even started getting into the basic math problems she teaches.
It’s such a great environment for learning and fun for kids of all ages – from mere months old our kid was consistently around a diverse group of babies and kids of all ages, which has helped him be very gentle with babies as he got older along with learning to be a good friend with kids his own age. We could not have asked for a better daycare for all these years, not to mention her rates are super reasonable for the area and she is always flexible and understanding for those times you need a bit earlier or later. We’ll miss Elham when we have to leave, but glad another child will get to make a new friend and teacher!…

Ali’s Home
As first time parents, finding quality care for our daughter with someone we trust was extremely important. Ali has not only exceeded our expectations but has become an extended member of our family! Our daughter gets so excited when we tell her she’s going to Miss Ali’s.
Ali is patient, kind, andvery attentive to each child she watches. Her home is welcoming and very clean. She provides an abundance of toys, music, arts & crafts, outdoor time, you name it! She’s even been teaching our daughter Spanish.
If I could give her 10 stars I would. Parents: if you want peace of mind for child care, I highly recommended Ali!. ..

Step By Step Academy
I met Ioana at school pickups. She was super friendly to my daughter. Started during covid and am amazed by how loving and caring she is each and every day. She has a special place in my daughters heart. And from the very first day she would sit and hold my daughter during nap time, (as until thenshe would sleep like that only) And slowly transitioned her to sleep on her own. She is the best. The care the love the things my daughter has learned and grown into, I couldn’t have done it myself. Can’t stop praising her enough.
Love her and her care team….

Description:
Elham Small Family Home Child Daycare.
My rates are very reasonable compared to the high rates of preschool, and your kid would learn similar educational material that they would in preschool. I provideholiday, overnight or weekend care with notice in advance.
I have been running my daycare for more than 14 years; I really enjoy taking my time with babies and kids. The daycare is part of my house which is a large common area to play and learn. I treat my daycare’s kids like my own, since they all call me “mama” right when they start talking. 🙂
There is a separate/private room for babies or children who need a quiet environment to rest.
The house is facilitated with the central system of heater and air condition.
When the weather permits, we play in the safe, private and large size backyard.
Very clean and healthy environment.
Children will be entertained and taught alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and many other fun activities.

I’ve partnered with parents in raising their kids since 1995, when it was my way of providing for my family while home with my own kiddos. I live on a tree lined street nearHacienda School, providing a nurturing family environment for the kids. Having an abundance of experience with young kids, I’m happy to assist parents with parenting questions or concerns anytime. I enjoy relationships with all my daycare parents, working hand in hand with them in offering a wonderful experience for their kids.
Your family’s health, safety and well being are my highest priority! I’ve worked diligently to protect my daycare families during this pandemic and continue to follow all guidance at all times, including being fully vaccinated and masking.
It’s important for my families to be in community with each other, which I foster by hosting Friday night dinners at my home as well as Halloween and Christmas celebrations for the families. I look forward to resuming these fun activities when it is safe to do so!
I serve nutritious, delicious meals and snacks including whole grains, organic milk, organic infant formula and organic fruits and vegetables.
I offer each child personal care and attention as we enjoy our daily activities promoting preschool and kindergarten readiness, socialization skills and self esteem.
I have a large, shady patio where the kiddos can play in the sandbox or water table, or draw pictures with sidewalk chalk. My lawn is very spacious, where kids enjoy a playhouse along with various toys to climb up and slide down. Sometimes we just run around in the sprinklers!

While our girls were growing up, I took of care of children, one or two at a time, sometimes 3 or 4 as ourgirls got older. I’ve cared for infants, toddlers and while our girls were in elementary school and middle school, after school care. My love of children also carried over to when I owned a Jazzercise franchise for 19 years. During this time, in addition to teaching adult classes, I also taught classes for K-5th grade. I taught PE at a few schools, held after school programs, and summer camps. I also volunteered at a school every spring for 9 of those years by teaching a dance to the four kindergarten classes for their Dance Fest.
I’m still caring for children just 1-2 at a time so I can give the children all of my attention. I love reading to the children in my care, going on walks to the park, singing, bubbles, play dough and arts and crafts. Most recently I was taking care of a little boy, 22 months old. I cared for him since he was 4 months, they recently moved.

Our Philosophy
Our goal is to educate your child through a variety of developmental stages. We feel that children learn more with “hands on” fun creative activities and in an environment that fosters the child’s readiness to learn. We not only want to educate the child, but to teach them problem solving skills and how to communicate with others. Thus, creating the “total-child” — physically, emotionally, mentally, and socially. By redirecting them in making better decisions with their choices.
We focus on the child’s developmental characteristics by introducing the following to the children at their developmental stage: cognitive concepts, language arts, science, music, sensory, fine, and gross motor skills, multicultural activities, reading readiness, and finally math concepts. We send home the children’s work every Friday so parents can have the opportunity to reiterate the concepts the child learned that week.

What is the average cost of daycare?
The U. S. average cost of child care and preschool
Table 1 below shows the national average cost of child care for infant care, toddler care, and preschool for four-year-old children. Costs are split by type of program, center-based, and home-based.
In general, infant care is the most expensive, with an average of $9,321/year in a home-based daycare and $11,959/year for child care centers. Preschool programs for older children tend to be more affordable with an average cost of care for 4-year-old between $8,617/year and $9,170/year (for home-based and center-based programs, respectively.)
Table 1. The U.S. Average Cost of Child Care (Per Year) ²
The States where daycare is the least and most expensive by age group
Since each State has a unique landscape in terms of family income, child care availability and prices, the cost of child care needs to be analyzed State by State. Tuition rates also depend a lot on the age of the child (as explained earlier, daycare prices for infants are in general higher than for toddlers or preschoolers).
The District of Columbia has the highest cost of infant care for both settings, with $23,666/year and $16,737/year for a daycare center and a home daycare, respectively. As a point of comparison, D.C.’s average infant care costs more than the most expensive public college tuition in the U.S. (which is in New Hampshire, with $16,073 per year)! The lowest cost for infant care is in Mississippi, where the average price for daycare centers is $5,307/year, while the average for a family child care program is $3,570/year.
Table 2. Highest & Lowest Average Cost of Child Care for Infants (Per Year) ²
For toddlers, the cost decreases considerably on the high-end. The most expensive State for center-based toddler care is Massachusetts, with an annual cost of $18,845 on average. For in-home daycares, Nebraska is the costliest for toddlers, with an average yearly price of $12,480. On the low-end, the least expensive States for toddlers are Kentucky (for center-based child care) and South Carolina (for home-based), where cost is $6,258/year and $4,797/year, respectively.
Table 3. Highest & Lowest Average Cost of Child Care for Toddlers (Per Year) ²
The average cost of care continues to decrease as children get older. For most States, this is because regulations typically require lower teacher-to-child ratios. This means that a child care business can enroll more children with one teacher or caregiver. With lower staff costs, daycares and preschools can offer lower tuition.
It’s important to note that even though staff costs are one of the major expenses for child care businesses (along with real estate), child care providers are unfortunately one of the lowest-paid professions in the U.S.
Washington D.C. once again takes the top spot when it comes to the most expensive State. For a 4-year-old in private preschool, the cost of care is on average $18,657/year in center-based programs and $14,293/year for home-based preschools. Similarly to infants, Mississippi is once again the State with the lowest cost for 4-year-olds: the average price for centers is $4,670/year, while the average for an in-home preschool is $2,813/year.
Table 4. Highest & Lowest Average Cost of Child Care for 4-Year-Olds (Per Year) ²
Can families in the U.S. find affordable daycare?
While these numbers are interesting, amounts don’t say much until we answer the question of, “How much of their income do families spend on child care?” According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommendation, child care should not represent more than 7% of a family’s household income.
Given the $9,649/year average cost of child care and the U.S. median annual household income of $60,336, parents spend on average 16.0% of their income on child care.
This number varies by age group since the cost of care decreases as children get older. For infants, parents spend 15.4% to 19.8% of their income on child care (nationwide average for home daycares and child care centers, respectively). For toddlers, parents spend a bit less, with an average of 14.5% and 16.7% of the median annual income, for home-based and center-based daycares, respectively. For 4-year-old preschoolers, families spend between 14.3% and 15.2%. Center-based programs, once again, take a more substantial chunk of the family’s budget.
Table 5. Percentage of Family Income Spent on Child Care by Age Group (U.S. Average)
Which States have the least and most affordable daycare?
The situation is much worse in some States than others. The State where infant care is the least affordable for single-parent families is D.C., where center-based infant care costs as much as 91% of the median household income (or 64.4% for in-home daycares). For married-couple families, California is the least affordable for center-based infant care (18.6% of household income), and Nebraska is the least accessible for in-home infant care (14.6% of household income). On the other hand, the State with the most affordable infant care is Mississippi, with the average cost representing 4.9% to 7.3% of the median household income for a married couple.
Table 6. Affordability of Child Care for Infants (% of Median Income Spent on Child Care)
For 4-year-old children in preschool, Mississippi remains the most affordable State with child care costing 3. 9% to 6.4% of the household income for married-couple families (14.7% to 24.4% for single-parents). The District of Columbia remains the least affordable for single-parent families, where child care costs for 4-year-old children represent 55% to 71.7% of the income. For married couples, D.C. is the least affordable for center-based care (13.1% of household income), and Nebraska is the least affordable for home-based preschools (14.6% of household income).

Is hiring a nanny, babysitter, or an au pair a good option?
Given the high cost of child care centers and home daycares, some parents may consider a caregiver that will solely care for their child. Hiring a nanny, babysitter or an Au Pair can all be good options, depending on each family’s needs. When it comes to cost, though, home daycares and child care centers aren’t the most expensive options.
According to the 2017 INA Nanny Salary and Benefits Survey, the average hourly rate in the U. S. is $19.14 per hour. Assuming 40-hour weeks, a nanny costs $39,811 per year on average. Nannies are employed by the family and thus also get paid holidays, vacation and sick days, health insurance, and other benefits. A nanny may be a good financial option for families with 3 or more children, but for 1 or 2 children, group child care is certainly more affordable. Of course, there are a variety of non-financial reasons why a family may prefer a nanny.
Au Pairs can cost about $19,000 to $20,000 per year or more, depending on a few factors. Au Pairs must receive a weekly stipend from the host family that is at least $195.75 per week, though families can pay more than this legal minimum. This stipend is about $10,000 per year, to which families need to add agency fees that cost $8,000 to $9,000. A few other costs also need to be taken into consideration when thinking about an Au Pair. For instance, room and board, auto insurance if they drive your car as well as travel costs to facilitate attendance at education classes or au pair gatherings.
Babysitters typically earn a rate similar to that of nannies but are more flexible in terms of hours and provide more short-term care. Just like nannies, babysitter hourly rates vary a lot by location and experience but can be anywhere from $10-$15/hour to $25-$30/hour or more.
Why is daycare so expensive, and what factors impact child care cost?
In addition to knowing the average cost of daycare, it’s also essential to understand where your tuition fees go. Knowing what influences the cost of child care can help you decide what’s most important to you, and what you don’t feel is essential so that you can save on child care.
The factors impacting the cost of daycare are (but not limited to) the following:
● Labor cost – caring for a child remains a hands-on job, and quality child care often equates to individual attention. Child care businesses pay staff, taxes, benefits, maintain high standards, and generally have low teacher-to-child ratios, especially for infants. In general, early childhood educators represent about 80% of child care expenses.
● Location, location, location – where you live is a significant factor in the cost of daycare, as the price varies between states, counties, and even cities. Child care tends to be more expensive in large metro areas, simply because real estate is more costly, salaries are higher, etc. To save on child care, parents can consider commuting (or moving) a bit further away from the center of large cities.
For instance, if you work in the Washington D.C. metro area, consider looking for child care in neighboring Virginia or Maryland since D.C. is the State where daycare is the most expensive. Some smaller towns within 30 to 40 miles of D.C. have much more affordable child care than downtown D.C. (e.g., Alexandria VA, Centreville VA, Aldie VA, Gaithersburg MD or Silver Spring MD).
Use our tool to estimate the average cost of daycare based on zip code, child’s age, and type of child care (home or center).
● Child’s age – younger children need more individual care than older children, and most State licensing regulations require a lower teacher-to-child ratio. That means that child care businesses need to hire more staff for infants than for preschoolers, and therefore, tuition rates are (understandably) higher.
● Type of facility (home-based or center-based) – child care centers are generally more expensive than home-based daycares due to higher real estate costs, and sometimes other additional expenses in staff (due to varying licensing requirements in terms of staff-to-child ratios), supply and maintenance fees, technology, etc.
● Part-time or full-time care – many child care and preschool programs offer part-time child care options. Families who can manage to have a part-time schedule can save a significant amount on child care costs. For instance, a part-time schedule can work if grandparents can care for children on some days/hours, or you can have alternating schedules with your partner or spouse.
There are many different part-time options, either 2 or 3 days/week (full day), or half-days (5 days/week), or a combination of both. Home daycares tend to be more flexible than centers, but be sure to include part-time care in the questions you ask when touring a daycare or preschool.
● Curriculum & Teaching Philosophy – day care and preschools programs offer different teaching philosophies. Depending on the learning approach and curriculum, teachers may prepare materials and even design the preschool environment according to the programs they offer. Different teaching philosophies include Play-Based, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and many more. Bilingual child care programs are also common (especially in certain languages like Spanish, French, or Arabic) and are generally more expensive.
● Meals and snacks – many early education programs provide healthy meals and snacks from breakfast to lunch, and even dinner in some cases. Some peanut-free daycares can accommodate children with allergies and only serve meals without nuts or peanuts. These meals represent a significant expense for child care owners, so if you plan on bringing food from home, discuss it ahead of time, and you might be able to get lower tuition.
● Accreditation – there are about 20 reputable child care accreditation organizations that bring early education programs to a higher standard in terms of staff training and education requirements, curriculum, facility, etc. Accredited child care and preschool programs tend to be pricier given the higher standards.
● Facilities & Equipment – the child care facility itself certainly plays a role. Newer, larger, brighter rooms and buildings are much more pleasant for children and parents but generally come at a higher cost. In addition to classrooms, the toys, learning materials, and playgrounds are all important. However, better equipment also commands a premium. Certain daycares also leverage technology (for instance, by having video cameras that can be accessed by parents online). Real-time access can give some parents peace of mind.
● Extracurricular activities – some preschools offer programs and activities designed to strengthen the learning experience and to engage children in fun activities such as sports, music, arts, languages, etc. Early education programs with many extracurricular activities tend to be more expensive.
● Field trips – in some preschools, children have occasional visits to places of interest such as museums, zoos, farms, parks, as well as fire stations, libraries, etc. Those can also add to the regular child care costs.
● Daycare Discounts – in addition to some tips listed previously, there are many ways to save on child care costs. Make sure to always ask about discounts available! Many child care providers have a sibling discount if you enroll more than one child; other facilities provide rebates to members of the military, teachers, etc.

Our early childhood education programs draw on children’s inherent curiosity and sense of wonder.
We believe children are naturally competent, capable learners with a built-in ability to devise their own ideas and persist in tackling them. Our approach to learning also emphasizes socialization. Here, children begin to build relationships with peers and with adults other than parents and caregivers, acquiring a set of skills they will carry through life.
If your child is 2 by September 2023, we welcome you to apply for the Preschool 2023 – 2024 school year.
Building Confidence and Independence
Our son just had his first day of school and came home shouting, ‘I love Kindergarten!’ with the biggest smile on his face. We couldn’t be more thrilled for him. THANK YOU for all your care and patience in your work with him in the 14Y Preschool. It really showed today how prepared he was to take on Kindergarten with confidence and joy!

Philosophy
The 14Y Preschool offers unique environments in which children can question, problem-solve, create and grow. Children, ages 2 to 5, are in class 12 to 30 hours per week. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach of following our students’ innate sense of curiosity, your child will explore and learn in classrooms where they feel respected, trusted, and empowered.
Your child’s social-emotional-intellectual well being is paramount. We begin each school year with a Phase-In schedule. As children gradually increase the time in their new classroom, building to their full day schedule, they grow more confident in their independence. Their comfort grows experiencing these exciting new routines, spaces, and faces in their first Preschool environment.
The 14Y’s expert, professional and nurturing staff welcome your child’s curiosity and wonder, and provide an abundance of opportunities for children to represent their ideas and thinking through art and other media. We celebrate diversity, and weave Jewish values and traditions into age-appropriate and inclusive settings. Students in all our early childhood education programs enjoy sun-filled classrooms and an expansive rooftop play area to work their body and minds.
As part of Educational Alliance, a network of community centers operating in downtown Manhattan, including the Educational Alliance Preschool at Manny Cantor Center, the 14th Street Y Preschool cultivates a connection to the Downtown Manhattan and Educational Alliance community, as well as to Jewish and universally relevant values and traditions.

Metro, city square, boulevards and Zilant in the play park near the school: how the My Rhythm residential complex is populated
Yards from well-known architects, convenient planning and quality materials from Ak Bars Dom
The development of 72 hectares of “golden » land in Kazan between MEGA and the agro-industrial park. The first residential buildings on Pobedy Avenue have already been occupied here, and two more houses are being commissioned by the end of the year. A school and two kindergartens are already operating. Recently, Ak Bars Dom began building a block near the future metro station. The center of attraction here will be a real playing area the size of 1.5 football fields: the architects of the Moscow bureau Megabudka are working on the project. About how this “city of active life” is growing and developing, combining the advantages of public spaces, housing and work close to home – in our material.
School before housing: how My Ritm develops
The My Ritm residential complex is growing and developing. On the territory of 71.5 hectares between MEGA and the agro-industrial park, people are already living in the first three residential buildings. Nearby are two kindergartens. By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the construction of two more houses along Pobeda Avenue. Piling of four houses on Albert Kamaleev Avenue, next to the new Lyceum No. 187, is actively underway.
An interesting detail in our conversation was noted by the honored architect of the Republic of Tatarstan, the chief architect of ABD Dmitry Puzyrev . The school was built by the Knowledge Day 2020, although at that time there were no rented apartments in the new residential complex. “This is a new trend set by our company in complex development – when schools and kindergartens are handed over in step with the occupancy of houses, and even earlier,” he explained.
The specialists of the company’s architectural bureau have been working on the territory for a long time and carefully. The goal is to plan more than just planting houses, laying out blocks, roads and sidewalks. Everything is much larger: it was necessary to think over the scenario of life in this corner of Kazan – and make it one of the best in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Housings of different heights provide space above the head plus the opportunity to live both near the ground and closer to the sky. Commercial premises – from the side of the street, offer residents not only service, but also create the privacy of courtyards. Proper planting of high-rise accents, well-thought-out insolation, underground and above-ground parking lots, courtyards without cars at ground level – all these are the advantages of My Rhythm.
About the My Rhythm project
The area of the residential complex is 71.5 hectares. In total, it is planned to build 39 residential buildings with an area of 609.4 thousand square meters. m is 12.1 thousand apartments.
There will be 2 schools for 2,725 places on the territory. One of them has already been built. In addition, 7 kindergartens for 1,790 children are planned (2 kindergartens are now in operation), a sports and recreation complex, a cultural and leisure center and a clinic for 430 visits per shift.
In accordance with the concept of “city within a city”, there will be almost 190 thousand sq. m of commercial space. The plans include the construction of 3 business centers with an area of 50 thousand square meters. m and a technopark of 60,000 sq. meters.
In addition, it is important to coordinate construction with city development programs, with the construction of social infrastructure and roads, and here the position of Ak Bars Doma is traditionally strong. My Rhythm has good transport accessibility: Pobedy and Albert Kamaleev avenues, Nazib Zhiganov street provide exits both towards the center and out of town. But that’s not all – there will be a metro station “Tulpar”.
According to Puzyrev, the Tulpar station will have three exits. One is right at the intersection of the residential complex and the main road routes. The second one is towards MEGA. The third one “lands” on the city square and pedestrian boulevard, which will be formed by the developer. Moreover, you can cross the streets along underground corridors without entering the station itself.
It was here that pile driving began for four new houses, the start of sales of which “Ak Bars Dom” announced recently. The advantages of housing are clearly visible on the planning project: next to it are developed public spaces, a school and a kindergarten. Therefore, it is not surprising that apartments and commercial premises here have a high investment attractiveness. Let’s just remember how the prices in the Aircraft Building District shot up after the completion of the metro station. .. And the apartments in My Rhythm are also new.
“Designing the life of My Rhythm, we relied on the principles of the permeability of the territory. And, of course, the public spaces of the residential complex will be available to all citizens of Kazan”

The architect continues. From metro station exits and City Square Pedestrian connections scatter everywhere.
The first 700-meter boulevard goes from MEGA to Agroprompark. It was developed in cooperation with one of the best landscape companies in Russia. The Moscow bureau AFA thought over both the yards and the boulevard itself. This public space is dynamic. The busy highway of Pobedy Avenue is fenced off from the residential area by multi-level parking lots, a business center and a pedestrian boulevard. The first floors are given over to commercial tenants, and therefore there will always be something to do on the boulevard — to look into the store, wait out the bad weather over a cup of coffee… Street retail will fill the street with life.
The second 700-meter boulevard was designed by Megabudka. It originates on the city square, where there is also an exit from the metro station – and stretches to Agroprompark. This area is located in the depth of the residential complex, so it is quieter and more peaceful. A natural promenade and a bike path are provided. This boulevard overlooks the private courtyards of houses, and it is here that the architects “planted” the highlight of the residential complex: grandiose play park . It will occupy an area of 11 thousand square meters. m is one and a half football fields. “Ak Bars Dom” here follows the principles of openness and transparency – the boulevards and the park are open to everyone. Residents of Azino will be able to drop in here – even on foot, even by bus – and guests from Aviastroy thanks to the metro: so far it is known that the station will appear in 2027.
“Designing the life of My Rhythm, we relied on the principles of permeability of the territory. And, of course, the public spaces of the residential complex will be available to all Kazan citizens,” Dmitry Puzyrev sums up. “Thanks to good transport accessibility, you can get here from any corner of Kazan.”
How landscape designers from Megabooth landed Zilant in a park the size of one and a half football fields
Let’s dwell on the concept of a grandiose play park – the so-called Dragon Lake playhub. It is planned to start its implementation closer to the delivery of houses that are already under construction. The architects of the Moscow “Megabudka” linked the site with the green frame of the entire territory of the complex, the city square, as well as with the neighboring boulevard. Conceptually, the entire giant site with an area of more than a hectare was divided into several zones saturated with functionality. There will be a place for kids to frolic, go in for sports, and hold events. Or just relax watching your child.
According to the leading architect of the Megabudka Bureau Anastasia Lyutoy , the architects emphasized the pronounced terrain. The height difference from the school towards the boulevard is up to 2.5 meters. In order to create a sufficient number of flat areas, it was decided to organize the space with the help of terraces. But perhaps the most interesting thing is the central game object. The figure of the black dragon Zilant is spread out on the territory.
“We turned to the history of the city, studied the mythology of the region. Thus, the idea of creating a valley of mythical creatures was born. We turned to the symbol of Kazan – the black dragon Zilant. According to an ancient legend, the serpent is located in Lake Kaban and guards the Khan’s treasures of Queen Syuyumbike. The relief of the playhub territory just recreates the winding coast, and the main object of attraction – the black dragon – is located at the bottom of an impromptu lake that guards its treasures. There was no brighter image to pick up! – says Anastasia Lyutaya.
The height difference from the school towards the boulevard is up to 2.5 meters. In order to create a sufficient number of flat areas, it was decided to organize the space with the help of terraces. Photo courtesy of Ak Bars Dom
It is important for children to create a story, says the architect. Therefore, Zilant is not just an art object on which you can run or crawl. This is a whole quest with games and adventures, which is a unique game complex with various types of activities: slides, balancing, climbing elements . .. So, on one level, the child seems to be making his way through the dragon’s claws, especially the brave one can look into his mouth and jump on back. And from the height of the watchtowers, you can watch the gameplay. It will turn out bright, figurative, stylish and recognizable. And how breathtaking Zilant will look from the upper floors of the houses! If you run all the way along the backbone of the dragon, you will come out about 100 meters.
Moreover, the dragon itself does not look like a giant structure that stands alone and divides the playing space. His figure complements the territory, it is trimmed with wood, ladders, handrails, and other retaining ledges are located on the “body”. The play space with Zilant is designed for ages 4-8, some elements also work for older children.
“In this way we created the center of the whole district. Here you can not only come to play with your child, but also relax with your family, watch, take part in events, go rollerblading. There are many sheds on the territory, there is a green buffer – the project is being developed by dendrologists. We hope it will be a very warm place that will unite families and residents of the complex,” notes the architect of the Moscow company.
Free areas along the perimeter of the play park in the future can be used for fairs, food trucks can be placed here. And in winter, the main point of attraction will be the central Christmas tree. By the way, the territory allows you to flood the ice rink – so the New Year holidays will definitely not be boring. One of the advantages of the game park and that the school is adjacent to it – and, for example, the hockey rink can be shared. The park is adjacent to a kindergarten, with a busy pedestrian and landscaped boulevard. Therefore, the place will turn out to be completely permeable and safe.
The combination of coverings, landscaping, geometry of small architectural forms should create a kind of mosaic. Photo provided by Ak Bars Dom
Your yard without cars, interesting playgrounds, modern entrances and spacious apartments We have already mentioned that the yard, due to the “car-free” concept, forms a private space for the peace of mind of children and parents.
According to the head of product development at ABD Inna Tarasova , zoning of courtyard areas is due to various types of coatings, installation of small architectural forms, landscaping and lighting elements. Even the usual entrance to the underground parking from the courtyard does not look like the roof of a dungeon covered with black tar, but is used as an amphitheater and part of the territory.
The most important story is the coverings of the yards. And not only for those who are resting, but also for those who look out of the windows of apartments. “It is necessary to create a picture for the observer, so that it is pleasant and comfortable not only to be on the ground, but also to admire all this from above,” Tarasova notes. The combination of coverings, landscaping, geometry of small architectural forms should create a kind of mosaic.
For example, playgrounds are covered with eco-friendly materials. Pearl-colored pebbles are in use: rounded sea pebbles brought from the Caspian Sea protect against injury when falling, and in addition contribute to the development of fine motor skills when playing. The sidewalks are tiled – the pattern is formed in such a way as to highlight the entrances and exits to the entrances or commercial premises on the boulevard on the sidewalk. Quiet rest areas with outdoor furniture and gazebos stand out due to wooden coverings. Workout sites have a rubber coating. Granite screenings and chips, sand and, of course, lawn are widely used. “Each coating should be applied where it is most effective,” explains Tarasova. “For example, when a child slides down a hill, a loose coating works.” As for landscaping, trees and shrubs are selected in such a way that it would be beautiful in the yards at any time of the year. Therefore, there are evergreen conifers and several types of shrubs.
Entrances become a logical continuation of high-quality courtyard design solutions. The modern entrance is saturated with sunlight during the day – or shines with lights in the evening, illuminating the approaches to the wide transparent doors. The fine finish includes wall and floor tiles in natural tones, an advanced navigation system, mirrors, shelves for bags, etc. Spacious strollers allow you to store strollers, bicycles, and other small outdoor equipment. High-speed elevators take residents to their apartments. An important detail here is the entrance apartment doors: the practice of installing temporary doors is in the past, there is no need for buyers to change them. And this means that the multi-style design of the hall is also a thing of the past.
Trees and shrubs are selected in such a way that the yards are beautiful at any time of the year. Therefore, there are evergreen conifers and several types of shrubs. Photo courtesy of Ak Bars Dom
Planning solutions offered in Moi Rhytme deserve special attention, which meet all modern customer needs. Comfort-class apartments range from family spaces with kitchens, living rooms, laundry rooms, balconies and terraces to spacious studios. In the new houses of the residential complex “My Rhythm” (PK5- and PK-10) there are apartments ranging from 32 to 121 sq. m, 4–5 apartments per floor. Bathrooms attract attention: 4.5 sq. m and more allow you to create a truly luxurious space.
The first floors of the four buildings under construction of the second stage are reserved by the developer for commerce, which allows people living in an active rhythm to “close” all the necessary household issues. Therefore, going down to the first floor for breakfast and enjoying fragrant coffee and fresh pastries is another advantage of living in the complex. Commercial premises are designed along the boulevard and on the first line near the metro station and public transport stops. This will create a sufficient flow of visitors – and, accordingly, there will be conditions for businesses of various formats: street retail, additional education facilities for children, office space, medical centers and beauty salons.

First, let’s establish one indisputable fact.
Children of foreigners have the same rights and are subject to the same rules as children of Polish citizens ! No privileges or, conversely, discriminatory measures are allowed.
Preschool education system
Conditionally the whole system can be divided into three stages, depending on the age of the kids. Conditionally – since of the three, only one step is mandatory , the first two – at the request of the parents.
Much of what will be described below belongs to the category of relative information, i.e. these are situations from the series “as a rule”, “in most cases”, etc. Conditions may vary slightly in individual establishments.
Zlobek (nursery)
An analogue of the well-known nursery. Children are accepted from 1 year old, the maximum age is 3 years old. There are goons who are ready to accept babies from six months.
Przedszkole
Kindergarten directly. Recruitment is carried out from 3 years old, but some schools open a set from 2. 5.
Again, these two steps are optional but we recommend that you complete at least the przedszkole – this is a great opportunity for children to adapt and also language skills.
Zerówka
Preparatory group for school, the so-called “Zero class”. This annual education is required for all children studying in Poland . Therefore, if the child is 5-6 years old, then he must be enrolled in the Zeruvka, regardless of the queues, the workload of the institution and other parameters.
In Poland, the word zerówka is used not only to refer to Nulevka , but also any preparatory education: pre-lyceum, before entering a university, etc. Do not confuse!

Types of pre-school education in Poland
All types of kindergartens and nurseries are public and private. The level of education in all is quite high, but there are significant differences in terms of admission and payment.
The maximum time for a child to stay in a kindergarten / nursery , regardless of the type of institution, from 7:00 to 17:00, but you need to understand that:
- Do not be afraid of this period , respectively, by 17:00 the working day is already over.
- You can bring a child according to a free schedule , it is not necessary to choose the entire limit.
- Compulsory classes are held in the morning . In the evening there is additional training, for which you often need to pay extra separately.
State
The number of such institutions is limited, so it is more difficult to enter them . In one group, up to 25 children can study under the supervision of 1 teacher and 1-2 two assistants (familiar to many “nannies”).
In most cases, public gardens are located in separate buildings with their own adjacent territory for walking and outdoor games. The premises are spacious, there are separate bedrooms, study rooms.
Compulsory naps in Poland are only allowed until the age of three. Further, it is replaced by “quiet time” – the time of reading fairy tales and rest.
Enrollment in public kindergartens is available from March. Theoretically until September, but in areas densely populated by young people, there may be no places left by this time.
Classes in such kindergartens are held from September to the end of June – then holidays. Training is partially free (more on the cost below). Meals in most cases are prepared in the institution itself and necessarily take into account the personal parameters of the child (for example, allergic reactions to a number of products).
Private
Classes in private kindergartens are held all year round . The number of such institutions significantly exceeds the state ones, and therefore they are more accessible. On average, in large cities, there are 3-5 private ones for one public przedszkole within walking distance. Training is paid. Admission is available throughout the year .
Private gardens are often located on the first floors of residential buildings, in specially equipped apartments. Because of this, the rooms are small, there are no separate bedrooms (children rest on retractable mattresses). The place for walking is also limited: at best, the garden has its own tiny courtyard (20-30 sq.m.), but there are cases when public areas or walks around the building are used.
As a rule, there are more classes than in state institutions, including foreign languages. It is not uncommon for children to study two at once (for example, English and Spanish). Training is provided both by the educators themselves and by invited specialists.
The educational program must be coordinated in advance , because some classes may be included in the previously announced amount, while others will require additional payment.
In the private gardens, great attention is paid to various excursions. It can be both ordinary walks in the park, and trips to museums, visits to fire stations, enterprises and other events.
Meals are not cooked in private gardens, they are brought from specialized kitchens. Food takes into account not only the personal parameters of the child, but also his tastes. Real life example: a child does not like mashed potatoes, and every time this dish is included in the group’s menu, they bring him another food.
The menu is known in advance. It can be sent to parents by e-mail for the coming week. It is possible to check or replace the dish.
There are no more than 5-7 children per teacher. Teachers can be in a group at the same time (when special attention is required) or change each other (during quieter hours).
How much do kindergartens for foreigners cost?
The cost depends not only on the type of education, but also on the set of additional services, region and other parameters. We will quote indicative prices , but they may vary depending on the kindergarten and nursery.
State
State institutions are free, but only when visiting from 7:00 to 13:00 . The free period is determined by the local authority, but cannot be less than 5 hours. Each further hour of stay is paid separately . For example, a full day (including meals) in a public garden in a large metropolitan area costs about PLN 180 per month.
If a full day was declared, and in fact the child was in the state kindergarten for less time (ill, picked up earlier, brought later), the cost will be reduced by the corresponding amount.
However, there may be additional costs . These are official payments and their size is different, but generally not exorbitant. Most often these expenses are one-time or occur once a year. These may include:
- payments to a “Garden Fund”;
- child insurance;
- additional lessons;
- in Nulevka may require payment of study guides.
The cost of materials for general classes (paints, plasticine, etc.) is included in the total cost. For additional lessons, consumables are purchased by parents separately.
Private
Because of the mandatory nature of the zerówka, it is rarely private. However, in some kindergartens this is practiced. In this case, the payment is assigned by the institution individually.
Nursery is more expensive przedszkole . Approximate rates in a large city:
- Żłobek: 550 – 700 (rarely up to 900) zlotys per month;
- Przedszkole: PLN 300 – 450.
Unfortunately, that’s not all! Meals are paid separately – it is 7 – 10 zł per day.
There is no charge for meals for the days/hours of absence, but the monthly payment is not reduced, even if the child is sick most of the month.
Separately required:
- Funds for teaching materials and consumables.
- Entry fee: A payment approximately equal to one month’s payment. It is appointed at a time or once a year and is not returned to parents.
- Insurance.
- Additional lessons.
- Excursions, museums.
If additional classes require their own tools, uniforms (for example, a kimono for karate), they are purchased at the expense of parents and are not included in the cost of classes.
Who can arrange for a child free of charge? Legal support
In Poland, there are special groups for allergy sufferers, for children requiring special attention, for the rehabilitation of disabled people, etc. However, all parents pay for kindergartens and nurseries on a general basis . The opportunity to not pay for the garden provides a visit to public institutions from 7:00 to 13:00 (or other free period established by the region).
At the same time, state bodies may subsidize in part or in full the cost of being in the garden. This is considered in each case individually, and, to put it mildly, rarely applies to foreigners.
Instructions for Ukrainians on how to send a baby to a kindergarten
Depending on the type of institution, the technology of enrollment in them will also differ. In any case, you will need:
- parents’ passports;
- completed application form.
A rather controversial point is the PESEL of the child. Private gardens can accept without it. Officially, it is not required, but some cities have built an electronic registration system for state gardens in such a way that it is impossible to send an application without entering this code.
Private gardens
Enrollment in private establishments is extremely simple and takes place all year round. The sequence of actions is something like this:
- Contact the kindergarten (managers often do this) to find out if there are vacancies. As a rule, there is no shortage of places.
- Fill out the application form, correctly indicating all the data, the approximate schedule of the visit, additional classes and other information.
- Pay the required fees.
- Start attending kindergarten or nursery.
According to a similar scenario, enrollment in the “Zero Class” takes place, only it can be done not only in private, but also in state institutions.
State organizations
It is much more difficult to enter state preschool institutions than private ones due to lack of places.
Registration of a child starts from March and is carried out automatically through a specialized electronic computer system.
Step 1. Registration
Enter all the necessary data into the electronic registration system of a particular city (this will become an analogue of the questionnaire). One institution is selected at the request of the parents (the so-called “garden of the first choice”), but it is possible to indicate two additional , in case there are no places in the first.
The program makes a choice automatically, without the participation of officials, based on a point system. This was introduced several years ago in order to prevent corruption.
Precise data on the operation of the system is not distributed, but there is reason to believe that points are awarded for (including):
- The proximity of the kindergarten to the place of residence.
- The presence or absence of work for both parents. Preference is given to families in which both mother and father work, but cases when a child of a working father was taken in with a mother who is a housewife are not uncommon.
- The presence of other children studying in the same kindergarten.
Practice shows that in areas where the adult population predominantly resides (retirement and pre-retirement age), the chance of getting into a public kindergarten is much higher.
Each Voivodeship, city and garden may have its own peculiarities when considering applications. Our advice : before filling out the application, contact the institution directly for advice. Many institutions hold meetings for potential clients, open houses, etc.
Step 2. Registration
If the system gave a positive answer to the request, you need to come to the kindergarten with documents and settle the remaining nuances . This must be done before the start of the school year (September 1).
Step 3. Visit
All the formalities are taken into account, the documents are processed, you can start visiting the kindergarten. Teachers advise to adapt the child gradually , starting visits from a few hours a day, and slowly bringing them up to the required time.
The described technology is suitable only for the first admission to the kindergarten. Continued visitation in subsequent years is subject to a simple statement of intent written to the Director.
Are there Ukrainian and Russian kindergartens in Poland?
Regarding state institutions, the answer is unequivocal – no. As for the private ones, there are rumors that are not inferior in their objectivity to tales about the Bermuda Triangle or the invasion of UFOs. Who “saw it myself”, someone “knows for sure”, someone was told by a “familiar of acquaintances”.
To be honest, we have not been able to find any confirmed evidence of the existence of such gardens. However, this does not mean that in reality they do not exist.
If any of our readers know anything about kindergartens or nurseries in Russian or Ukrainian, please share the information in the comments to this article. We will be grateful.
Pros and cons of private and public institutions
Let’s summarize the parameters of public and private gardens to make it easier for parents to choose.
Parameter | State | Private |
---|---|---|
Availability (number of gardens) | Small | Large |
Free places | Possible shortage | Almost always available |
Entry | March to September | Year-round |
Cost (PLN per month for general lessons) | 0 to 200 | 300 to 900 |
Power supply | Included in total price | 5 – 10 PLN per day |
Hidden payments | No | Possible |
Absence fee reduction | Yes | No |
Premises | Spacious, with separate bedroom | Small, no furnished bedroom |
Walking | On own equipped territory | In confined spaces or public places |
Children per teacher | Up to 15 (rarely 25) | 5 – 7 |
Availability of mandatory holidays | July, August | No |
Children need to be adapted – that’s a fact. As you can see, the cost even in the most expensive establishment in Poland is at least comparable, and often much lower, than in many “free” establishments in some CIS countries.
Admission of children to Polish kindergartens and nurseries is not a difficult process, but it is better to know possible hidden fees in advance in order to plan the budget and avoid unnecessary expenses.

AriAnna
9 years away from the sea
Region: Kaluga region.
Family: daughter, four years old.
Position: cashier-operator.
Salary: about 40,000 R per hand.
Additional income: about 40,000 R, of which 9000 R – alimony, I do not want to indicate other sources.
Property: studio apartment.
Savings: there are several accounts, each with its own purpose. Now the goals are as follows: a down payment for a mortgage, the fifth anniversary of my daughter, vacation-2023 and an airbag. Yes, yes, I already have an account for next year’s vacation, and there is already money on it.
Monthly expenses: on average about 50,000 R. These expenses include utility bills, food, medicine, payment for kindergarten and clubs, clothing, entertainment, travel, and force majeure. There are no debts, loans, bad habits.
How many countries visited: in addition to Russia was in Turkey and Ukraine. In Russia, I was in Anapa, Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk, Tula, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kaluga.
Travel style: before marriage, she spent 10-14 days at sea every year. I went to the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea or Turkey. As soon as I met my future, now ex-husband, I stopped traveling.
A year and a half has passed since the divorce – I am restoring my life anew. I make it interesting and eventful. This is my first big trip since 2013. During this time, there were two small trips to St. Petersburg for five days: the first one was with my husband in 2019year, the second – in May of this year with my mother.
The ideal vacation is 10-14 days at sea and 3-7 days offshore. I love sealing on the beach and having fun in the water park. My special love is boat trips.
I like to organize everything myself: spend hours surfing booking websites, choosing the most convenient flights, planning leisure activities. She did the same this time. On vacation, I try not to regret spending money, but my internal economist is always looking for a way to spend less: find accommodation where you don’t have to pay for a child, book tickets to a museum on the website, because it’s cheaper there. I save not at the expense of quality.
About the trip
Where and when we are going: to the village of Vityazevo near Anapa in early August. I haven’t been to the sea for nine years.
I chose this place because of the accessibility and sandy beaches. This is also Russia: if something happens, I can always seek medical help at a polyclinic. I’m so calm.
I planned so that I could carry a suitcase, a bag and a child at a minimum. We will be met everywhere and taken. I agreed with the boarding house where we will live, about the transfer. The ex-husband – in the text I will call him BM – will take us to the station and back. We have a good relationship. It cannot be otherwise: we have a common child.
Travel time: 10 days. And two days on the road.
Travel budget: RUB 85,000
How much was saved for the trip:
Travel companions: daughter. This is the child’s first trip. I think that it is necessary to first see her reaction to a different climate, heat, salt water, and then go to Egypt or Turkey.
Travel expectations: sea, sun, beach! I haven’t been to the south for a very long time, and my daughter has never been. I am waiting for my daughter’s emotions from the sea and the beach. We will have fun with her wherever they let her in. I realize that I won’t be able to relax 100%: I need to watch the child. So this is more of a vacation for her. I work a lot, and my daughter often visits her grandmothers. I want to spend these two weeks alone with her, chat, play. And just clear your head.
Preliminary expenses
Reservation of accommodation: 22 248 R. Of these, 21 600 R for nine nights in a boarding house and 648 R — commission in Sberbank, since I paid through the cash desk, the hotel sent me an invoice by mail. The daughter lives for free. The boarding house has a swimming pool, a bar, a children’s room, they promise animation. Breakfast included.
Transport: 9364 R. We go by train. I don’t like them, I wanted to fly by plane, but because of the closed airport in Anapa, I had to take the train. I chose the shortest flights. The train from Moscow to Anapa takes 21. 5 hours, back – 26 hours. I took a ticket. I didn’t pay for my daughter: if she doesn’t take a seat, then she rides for free. BM will take you from home to Moscow and back.
Indirect costs: 5064 R. These are expenses for sunscreen cosmetics, a new swimsuit for me, flip-flops for the beach for both of us, a transforming bag and something small. I call them indirect, because although they are connected with this trip, we will use things after it.
Food and entertainment on the train: 2250 R for food and 253 R for two Princess magazines. I borrowed a book for free from the library.
I am shocked by the amount of food I cooked for the trip. As a result, I didn’t take everything: we won’t eat so much. There is still no hot dish in the photo – baked chicken drumsticks and jacket potatoes, vegetables and fruits. Our entertainment on the train. I will give Princess magazines to my daughter already in car
Clothes for a photo shoot: 2080 R. We have a professional photo session at the seaside. I bought two identical T-shirts and a white skirt for my daughter. I have a skirt.
Gasoline for a trip to the station: 1000 R. BM will take us, but I refueled the car.
Expenses on the road: 875 R. I bought ice cream for my daughter at a long stop and marshmallows. I spent another 605 R in KFS on the way back in Moscow. I don’t describe the road in my diary: an ordinary trip in a reserved seat. Russian Railways let down a bit on the way from Moscow to Anapa. I bought a ticket for the Premium train, and we rode in an ordinary carriage. Not a problem, but a little unpleasant: nevertheless, I paid for a more expensive train, but it turned out as always. Other passengers were also waiting for the branded car. I took tickets back for a regular train – in a regular one and went.
The only interesting thing on the road is our fellow traveler from the top shelf on the way to Anapa. She asked to be allowed to sit on the bottom bunk, which was impossible since I was traveling with a child. I was sitting in one place, my daughter was nearby. This woman suggested that I take the child on my knees. Naturally, I refused her and I think that I was right. Offended by me, she left to fetch other passengers.
Day one, Thursday
Daily expenses: 5043 R
06:45. We wake up on the train. Mood is good. We wash and have breakfast: my daughter – fruit puree, I – 3 in 1 coffee and a bun with cherries.
When I get home, I usually go to weigh myself. I kept a calorie deficit for two months, because on June 1 I saw 70.9 kilograms on the scales and was dumbfounded. I have never been thin, with a height of 164 centimeters, I weighed an average of 60-64 kilograms. After the maternity hospital, there was a maximum of 72. I twisted the hoop, did exercises for the press, buttocks and legs. Now the weight is 60.2 kilograms, minus almost 11 in two months. I also measure my chest, waist, hips and stomach, and record the parameters in my diary.
But I will not keep track of calories on vacation. Decided to take a break. Of course, I won’t eat three throats, but I don’t intend to deny myself an extra pie if I really want to. When I get back, I’ll weigh myself again. I hope not many hiring. I will write about this at the end of the diary.
08:25. “I’m so happy, I’m so glad!” – we are arriving. The train was 20 minutes late. We are met by a car – I agreed in advance about the transfer with the Agata boarding house, where we will live. −450 R
09:15. Settle in promptly. I pay for the extension of the room on the first and last days – 2000 R, as well as the air tax from tourists – 240 R. I also agreed on the extension in advance, and it’s good: we are the only ones whose room is already ready. Other guests stay to wait for check-in time. −2240 R
I am not charged for my child’s breakfast. They suggest that we first look, maybe one is enough for two of us. Well, let’s see.
The room is excellent, everything is as in the photo on their website.
10:00. How glad I am to see the sea! Our boarding house has its own beach. All private beaches are now a little further from the water, not directly by the sea. There are awnings, sun loungers, toilets and security. You can leave your things, and go for a swim in the common area. This is right. I remember how in the early 2000s, many beaches were rented by private hotels and surrounded by fences that went straight into the sea. For those who arrived as a savage, there were small pieces of the coast, where everyone pushed.
We are going to a common beach closer to the water. There are a lot of people, but we are lucky: we find a place right by the sea. My daughter is delighted. The sea has gone to her. She plays with other children on the sand and swims near the shore. And I’m half lying on the bedspread and don’t take my eyes off her.
11:00. I want to eat, I suggest that my daughter finish and go towards the boarding house. None. I don’t want to drag her by force. I remember a pack of corners. As soon as I start eating them, my daughter says that she is also hungry. They sell corn – I take one for two, it’s big. Very tasty. The price is pleasantly surprising: lower than in the Moscow region, and much lower than I expected. −80 Р
12:00. It’s getting hot. We go to the room, take a shower, change clothes and go to the playground. It is right in front of the house where we live.
Oil painting: “Food and Sea”
12:45. We choose the dining room “Ekaterina” 2 minutes from our boarding house. The food is simple and homemade. What you need for lunch with small. I take for myself a young potato, a stuffed cutlet, compote and a pancake with jam. Daughter – pasta, meatballs, compote and cake. −530 Р
Ladybug is shown on TV. The child eats and looks, I can safely write a diary, answer my mother and BM to messages, contact the photographer and eat. The food is so-so.
13:30. We return to the room. On the way we buy water, Kinder Surprise and laundry soap. I want to wash the clothes I wore on the train. −208 Р
My daughter is watching a cartoon, I am unpacking my suitcase.
14:30. The suitcase is disassembled, things are washed. You can relax and chat with your mother – she wonders how her only granddaughter is doing.
15:00. Daughter sleeps, enjoy the silence. Moms will understand 🙂
16:40. The heat subsided – we are back on the beach. On the way, we buy four scoops of ice cream. The daughter asks to put them in a bowl. −100 R
We take corn again, cheaper elsewhere. −50 Р
On the beach, we realize that we forgot the sand kit. This is where the creamer came in handy. It’s good to be a child with imagination.
Daughter saw a praying mantis and poked it with a stick. But I don’t like insects
18:55. We leave the beach.
20:03. We have booked a table at the Yayem cafe to celebrate our arrival. I also booked from home: I googled a cafe in Vityazevo, I liked the place with the interior and the presence of a children’s corner. This is a pizzeria, and I love pizza and don’t like rolls and Asian food. We get by taxi. −168 R
On the spot I understand that I made the right decision. We order Hawaiian lemonade for me, a Strawberry cocktail for my daughter and Assorted pizza. I love visiting new places. We take half of the pizza with us. We leave 100 RUR for tea. -992 R
We go back by taxi, on the way we go for water. −225 Р
22:00. We go to sleep.
Second day, Friday
Daily expenses: 2115 R
07:05. We wake up half an hour before the alarm. Stuffy. There is air conditioning, but I did not turn it on because of the child. Mood to the fullest! Nobody canceled the vacuum and the bar. Breakfast at 08:30, there is time to do the laundry.
Daughter watches the Karusel channel and draws. I quickly finish washing and hang everything outside to dry, at the same time I take off my towel and swimwear. For some reason they didn’t dry out. We both rubbed our feet with new flip flops. Not critical, but unpleasant. Seal with adhesive tape.
08:30. For breakfast, we take Nesquik chocolate balls with milk, tea and meringue for my daughter, and a sandwich with butter and cheese, tea with cookies for me. There is a buffet, there is a lot of food, there is even hot food: chicken with rice.
09:30. It’s time for the sea. On the way to the beach, we buy a fake LOL doll. There are many cheap fakes on the market. It is convenient: it is inexpensive and the child does not whine. −100 R
In the next couple of hours, my daughter is active, I am a seal. The beach is clean, there is a wooden promenade, a free paddling pool is fenced in the water. We rest around it. The sea is shallow, you can move 15-20 meters from the shore, and the water will not be higher than the chest, but the first ten meters in general on the ass. The most for relaxing with small ones.
There are a lot of children. It’s good: mine always has someone to play with and not torment me much 🙂 What a thrill it is just to lie on the beach, bask in the sun, drink pina colada and watch your child have fun, how happy she is. −300 Р
Vityazevsky landscape. The beach we went to
11:00. My daughter has a snack of corn. I correspond with my friends. −80 R
12:15. We ride banana. Very light rides, no flipping. A little scary at first, then okay. Daughter likes it. By the way, you don’t have to pay for it, only 500 R for me. At the exit from the beach we buy kvass. −550 R
13:40. For lunch we go to another canteen. It tastes better here. We take one borscht for two, dumplings for my daughter, mashed potatoes with a cutlet for me, compote. −485 R
14:00. We return to the room, eat chocolates and watch a cartoon. Then quiet time. I turn on the condo at +25 °C.
17:15. This is what we significantly missed. There were two alarm clocks, I turned both off in the middle of the night. The daughter fell off the bed, but everything is fine, she didn’t hit, she almost didn’t even wake up. I have a little trouble: my shoulders and legs burned a little, although I used suntan oil and after cream. I’ll try my daughter’s SPF 50.
There are a million messages in WhatsApp from everyone, I answer.
18:30. We reach the beach, and it’s time to return to the mini-disco. We walked for a long time because of a couple of lines: my daughter wanted corn and jump on a trampoline. We’ll stay on the beach for half an hour – and back. −300 Р
In the evening greenery floats in the water, but not much. I consider it normal. This is the sea, not a pool, there should be life there.
19:20. Good luck with the mini disco. It’s cool that the boarding house entertains our children. We buy cakes on the way. −300 Р
So far I have found only one minus in Vityazevo: there are almost no trash cans. There is only at the entrance to the beach and in the boarding house – I have not seen it again. At the same time, the streets are very clean, although there are a lot of people. We live in the very center, it is lively here: there are many drinking establishments, entertainment, shops with souvenirs and clothes.
Hooray, things are finally dry. While my daughter is having fun, I take everything off the dryer.
At the mini-disco, the daughter found herself a new fiancé. It’s time to take a master class from her.
Mini disco in the boarding house
20:10. We wash and have dinner: yesterday’s pizza, cakes, a milkshake for my daughter, 3 in 1 coffee for me. Then we watch cartoons. I turn on the air conditioner for half an hour or an hour before going to bed. It is located just fine. The cold hits the wall, only a pleasant coolness reaches us.
22:05. I put my daughter to sleep. Another beautiful day has passed, only my red back upsets. Lying on it hurts. Because of the three-hour quiet hour, I can’t fall asleep at all. I am reading the book “California Demon” from the library.
01:50. Now I sleep too.
Third day, Saturday
Daily expenses: 5371 R
06:57. We wake up. My back hurts, I burned out notably. Today, according to the plan, the water park. It opens at 10:00, there is a lot of time.
08:00. We go out to play on the playground before breakfast. I want to take things off the dryer, but they are wet again. Even swimwear doesn’t dry overnight.
08:35. For breakfast we take me black coffee, a casserole, a sandwich with butter and cheese. Daughter – tea, Nesquik balls with milk and boiled sausage. The casserole is very tasty and juicy. I love this one. Then we play on the playground.
Playground near our building. He is in the background on the left. To the right is the canteen
10:01. We are among the first to enter the water park, we manage to take a sun lounger near the children’s area under a canopy, which is important for my burnt back. I don’t pay for my daughter: children up to 105 centimeters are free. On the way we bought a badge for 50 R. −1850 R
I want to lie down, but every minute my daughter pulls me to ride with her.
11:00. Snack: donuts and ice cream. −230 R
12:00. The foam party for children begins. Such a huge amount of foam is very cool. Children are delighted, adults too. Got a photo. 10 minutes before the party, they took another ice cream. Raspberry for me, watermelon flavor for my daughter. −160 Р
We both like the water park. I also rode the children’s slide with my daughter.
13:00. The daughter burst into tears – she says that she hit her head and elbow. I look at her. No bumps, no scratches. But still we are going home. The sun is at its zenith, the hottest: +32 ° С. On the way to lunch, we buy corn and lemonade each. We decide to eat in the room and immediately go to bed. −155 R
14:07. We eat what we bought. I’m still eating a banana – it’s from the train. Quiet hour.
16:40. We wake up. My daughter doesn’t want to go to the beach. It fails to persuade. I’m going to the pool. My daughter is an excellent swimmer in a vest. At first we splash around, I support her, but she quickly learns herself. Good girl.
18:00. I’m going to dinner. I really want barbecue, but instead of dinner we find a lost child. He doesn’t cry, he just walks down the street. Me and two other women call the police. While we wait, we feed him, the boy is very thirsty and hungry. He shows on his fingers that he is two years old. I buy him three juices and a sausage in dough. The daughter somehow wins him over, hugs him. The police are still not coming, I buy juice and my own sausage. −350 R
18:45. We agree with the women that they will continue to wait, and we will go. They called the police, we are not really needed there. It turned out that there was no branch in Vityazevo, the policemen were coming from Anapa.
19:00. I’m going to the barbecue. I take a fried chicken leg with cheese sauce for my daughter, a pork kebab for myself, and both compote and a wheat tortilla. −626 Р
On the way back we buy two churchkhelas. I really like it, but my daughter did not appreciate it. −200 R
We jump into the room because my daughter wants to go to the toilet, and just in case I take two pancreatin tablets. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with an ulcer. After treatment, she did not bother me, but if such fat feasts arise, then I insure myself.
19:45. We will spend the evening at the amusement park. There you need to buy a discount card for 50 R, deposit any amount on it and pay with it in the park. We bring in 1050 R. -1100 R
But for some attractions you need to pay separately. As I understand it, they are kept by tenants inside the park. On the map we visit a Ferris wheel, a train and a carousel. Separately, the daughter catches a fish for 300 R and we get a gift – a flashlight. We also go to the “Upside Down House” for 350 R. In the house I pay only for myself, my daughter goes in for free. But the house is so-so, covered in dust and cobwebs. −650 Р
There is still money left on the park map, so let’s go there again. On the way, we go to the Mix Price store, take a set of adhesive plasters. −50 Р
22:00. We take a shower, have a snack, it’s time for my daughter to sleep. I read a little, I still think I want to drink wine 🙂
Fourth day, Sunday
Daily expenses: 6447 Р
07:15. Good morning, new day. Today we have up to +33 °С. It’s hot. While my daughter is watching a cartoon, I rinse and hang up yesterday’s laundry to dry. I remember that I completely forgot about the vacuum and the bar, I didn’t do it yesterday. I do.
08:30. Breakfast. I have a sandwich with butter and sausage, tea with waffles. My daughter has Nesquik with milk and an omelet with sour cream. She had a good appetite here. Although she is already four, there is a beginning itself only here. I hope we will transfer this habit to everyday life. At home, unfortunately, I often spoon-fed her, otherwise she would sit over the plate for an hour, and my nerves would not last so long. This is wrong, but so far so.
09:40. We go to the beach, on the way we buy a mouse in cheese and take our place near the children’s area. −100 R
Mouse in cheese
10:20. Daughter wants to go to the toilet. Let’s go look. Found in the beach area of our boarding house, but it is locked. They gave me the key to it after checking my bracelet. C – service. On the way back we buy ice cream. −140 R
11:10. Today is very windy, even hung a yellow flag of danger. There is a lot of debris because of the wind. Packages of chips, ice cream, and cups fly across the beach. And of course, sand that gets into the eyes and hair. We decide that there is enough beach for today.
12:30. For lunch we go to the dining room “Marseille”. Assortment pleases, a lot of everything. We take borscht, salad with chicken and prunes, chicken cutlet with cheese sauce, cheesecake and compote. Just one serving, except compote, is enough for us. −638 R
14:00. My daughter has a quiet hour. I drink 3 in 1 coffee, eat churchkhela and write to the agency about tomorrow’s photo shoot. Found them on Avito. I looked at the work on the official website, booked a date. The price with a 10% discount is 2690 R per hour. I will pay after the photo shoot. I saw an advertisement on the beach – an hour there already costs 4000 R.
I will also coordinate everything with the make-up artist, also from Avito. Her services cost 1,500 R plus 500 R for a home visit. I’m just waiting for tomorrow. I have long wanted a photo shoot “Mom and Daughter”. And on the sea – just super.
Then I read a romance novel from the Internet. Periodically I drive an annoying fly from my daughter. I got tired of crawling over the child. And after all, do not beat, such an infection.
15:50. The alarm clock is ringing. I always put it on: if I fall asleep with the child, we can sleep for three hours or more. The wind is still strong, the child does not want to go to the beach. We decide to go to Anapa.
16:30. The bus stops near the boarding house. We were lucky: there were few people, we took a place near the window. Then a full salon is packed, people stand close. We reach the Nemo Dolphinarium. −50 Р
5:05 pm. We bought a ticket to the dolphinarium for Tuesday for 1200 R and a general ticket to the oceanarium and penguinarium for 800 R today. I don’t pay for my daughter: children under five years old go free. −2000 Р
The oceanarium is so-so, I saw much better, for example, in St. Petersburg and Moscow. There are just a few aquariums right there – and that’s it, there is neither a tunnel nor a waterfall. A penguinarium is generally one penguin behind glass. Not worth your money. But the daughter came in, especially the penguin, they really became friends: the daughter pressed her hands to the glass, and he kept swimming up from that side.
They also tried to sell us our photo near the aquarium, magnets, a frame and something else. I didn’t take it: it’s expensive and the quality of the photo is not very good. I also take pictures like that, and for free. At the exit, we buy ice cream for 120 R. Did I say something about prices at the beginning? What are they pleasantly low? I take my words back. −120 Р
Oh my God, what a man 🙂 Exhibit in the oceanarium
17:45. I want to withdraw cash: almost everywhere they ask for it or a transfer. So cash is worth its weight in gold. My money is mostly on the Home Loan card. I find the address of an ATM in Yandex, we go there by bus. We buy kvass on the way. −65 R
Bingo, today is definitely my day. On Sundays, Khomyak offices are closed, but the ATM is set outside and I can withdraw money. And after me, the ATM ran out of small bills.
18:52. Since I’m in Anapa, it’s worth stopping by to buy a wine in the Abrau-Dyurso branded boutique. Of course, he is also in Moscow. But wine from Anapa is already a souvenir. After waiting for the bus for about twenty minutes, we call a taxi. −151 Р
I really liked this building. As I understand it, there are offices on the first floor, and apartments above. It houses the Abrau-Durso boutique
19:15. I buy two bottles of wine. The girl-seller helps with the choice. I want to take a red sweet for my mother, but it is not available, I take a semi-sweet one. And mother-in-law – white dry. At the price I planned 1000-1200 R per bottle. But it turned out even cheaper. −1666 R
I rarely drink and I don’t understand alcohol, so I trusted the expert. They also give me a discount on sweets in a nearby boutique. I go there to take a look, but somehow they buy three packs of marmalade and marshmallows by themselves. −928 R
A new check gives a discount in the cosmetics department. My daughter, who is tired of waiting, also saves me from spending money there. We’re leaving.
Vinishko for gifts
19:45. My daughter has a character, and not the most pleasant. As soon as I show gentleness to her, she sits on her neck. I spoiled her. A little something she doesn’t like – whining and tantrums at once. In general, the evening ended with a slap on the pope and a threat to put me in a corner. After that, she calmed down.
We take a short walk along the Anapa embankment, watch the sunset over the sea, take pictures. The embankment is very beautiful. Someone told me that it was made recently. It is long, wide, there is a path for cyclists. There is a splendid view of the sea and sunset. I really like walking here.
We are going back to Vityazevo by taxi. −449 Р
Sunset over the sea. We stood and watched the sun go down. This happens very quickly. Literally 7-8 minutes
20:55. We go for sausages in dough for my daughter and a muffin for me. Only now I understand that my child has practically not eaten since lunch. Woe-mother, damn it. But I bought a booze, albeit as a gift. −140 Р
My daughter is quickly in the room, I turn on the cartoon, I give milk and sausages in dough. Take a shower by yourself, after tea with a muffin and biscuits.
22:20. Daughter sleeps. I am reading.
00:00. Sleep.
Day five, Monday
Daily expenses: 1732 R
05:00. Something we both sleep badly. My daughter complains that her left ear hurts. I press and pull it to check for otitis media. Doesn’t whine, so it’s not otitis media.
I know very well what otitis is. I got sick at the age of 18 due to stupidity: I went without a hat in the winter to the university and back on foot. Then for the first time I decided to lose weight and used every opportunity for activity. So I got active – my ear blew out. I remember how I was lying on the sofa, afraid to move, so as not to twitch my ear, and crying quietly.
Just in case, I bury my daughter in both ears. Today is a photo session, but I decide to cancel it. Very uncomfortable in front of the makeup artist and photographer. People, too, plan their time. I am writing them an apology, explaining the situation.
I already see comments that I should worry about my daughter first and not apologize to contractors. I will answer: my daughter has a character, she is also an actress. I pulled my ear and she didn’t cry. And with otitis media, you can’t touch the ear. It hurts like hell. I believe that my ear hurts, but I don’t dismiss the option that my daughter is exaggerating. Therefore, I ask you to reschedule the photo session. I hope they make concessions. I’ll watch my daughter for a day or two, and then we’ll see.
06:30. My daughter is sleeping, I am not. Very upset. I eat pudding. Thinking about what to do during the day. We will not go to the sea, in the first half of the day for sure. I found a cinema not far from us, I’ll call later and check the screenings.
08:15. I wake up – it turns out that I fell asleep reading a book. Messages came from a make-up artist and a photographer, both wishing for recovery. I apologize again.
I conclude that my daughter needs a more light program, and not a minute-by-minute one. She was not used to such a busy schedule. In ordinary life, she has nothing serious yet. She goes to the garden and went to gymnastics until May. We could have skipped the garden if we didn’t want to go. They tried not to miss gymnastics, but it also happened. Grandmothers pamper her. She is the only one with us.
My daughter woke up and coughed a little. I give the medicine that I took from home.
09:25. We have breakfast in the canteen: Nesquik with milk, scrambled eggs with sausage, a sandwich with butter and cheese, coffee for me.
10:00. We go out for a walk. My daughter does not complain about her ear, but once again I dig in and put on a scarf from the sun instead of a cap: it covers her ears. We are looking for a cinema, we do not find it, and no one knows about it.
On the way, we buy another little nonsense for our daughter, a keychain and souvenirs for our familiar children – rulers with names. −230 Р
Daughter rides on the attraction “Horses”. We pay from the park card. We bought the most expensive popcorn in my life – 250 R for an average glass. The margin is skyrocketing. At the market we take a quarter of watermelon, nectarines, a small Ossetian cheese pie, baklava. −942 R
We are going to have dinner in the room. Before dinner, we look into the children’s room. She is so-so: there are few toys, almost all are broken.
Name rulers as a gift
12:15. We have lunch – and sleep. We play a little before going to bed, put it in my ears again and give medicine.
4:15 pm. We wake up. The daughter is cheerful, but it’s like they drove over me with an asphalt paver. I have a very hard time getting up after a nap. I feed my daughter pudding.
17:00. We are on the beach. We won’t swim, we’ll just hang out on the shore. On the way, we bought corn and potatoes on a skewer and a ball on a string for my daughter, which broke off after an hour. −320 Р
18:00. I collect shells for my mother. She needs them for indoor flowers. The daughter plays with the little girl in Easter cakes. I buy a tube with boiled condensed milk. −100 R
19:15. We leave the beach. The weather is very comfortable: there is no strong wind, on the contrary, a pleasant breeze, the sun is no longer scorching. On the way, we take two milkshakes in a mini-market. −90 R
19:35. In the boarding house, my daughter wants to play ball and run. And I am writing these lines. I meet and chat with a girl. She is here with her husband and daughter, who is also four. They rested in Anapa five years ago, they say that she has changed for the better. We discuss kindergartens, barbecue and wine.
21:15. We wash up, the daughter does not want to have dinner after popcorn and milkshake. And I bought myself a glass of red dry at a local bar. I’ll put the child down and get high in splendid solitude. −50 Р
I haven’t drunk a draft wine in a plastic cup for a hundred years. I remembered my 20 years 🙂
21:45. The daughter does not sleep, watches a cartoon and whines – she hit her little finger on a chair. I have a short answer: you will jump less. Then I pity her, kiss her. Calms down and eats watermelon. I cut it into small, seedless pieces and she eats it with a fork. For her four, she perfectly wields a fork and knife. Too bad it’s rare at home.
I could not resist and have dinner with a glass of wine, Ossetian pie, sausage, and baklava for dessert.
22:35. The wine didn’t come in. I drank half and poured out the rest. I correspond with my mother and BM. Mom also asks her to buy draft wine. And BM, I throw off pictures of my daughter, we exchange a couple of phrases. I put it in my daughter’s ears and give cough syrup.
23:00. My daughter is sleeping, I am reading.
00:30. Sleep.
Day six, Tuesday
Daily expenses: 3610 R
07:50. Woke up, hugged, fooled around, washed. Standard morning.
08:30. Breakfast. My daughter has the same Nesquik, she also ate half cutlets and glazed cheese. I have coffee, a sandwich, cookies.
Our breakfast. There were also vegetables, buckwheat with gravy, a couple of types of cookies, another type of dry breakfast, squash caviar
09:40. We come to the beach. On the way we play darts, they need to hit the balloons. Daughter wins slime. −200 Р
Strong wind again, the sea is restless. My back stopped hurting, but small blisters appeared – the skin will come off. I burned out considerably.
10:20. We buy a small glass of multi-colored popcorn and a huge donut. −200 R
11:00 am. We leave the beach, on the way we take more nominal rulers. −170 R
12:00. We swim in the pool. My daughter likes it more than the sea. The wind is terrible. We go to the children’s room. Before that, we change into things in which we will go to the dolphinarium. My daughter is playing, I correspond with the photographer and makeup artist, send new pictures to my grandmothers.
Swimming pool in our boarding house
12:50. We manage to reschedule the photo shoot for Friday. They ask for an advance payment. The makeup artist is silent. −500 R
13:15. Again we go to the dining room “Marseille”. It’s delicious here. You can only pay in cash or by transfer. We take pasta with chicken skewers for our daughter, kebab and salad with prunes for me. We have water with us, sweet compotes do not come in. −454 R
2:30 pm. We drive for a long time to the dolphinarium. −50 R
Looking through the window I see a lot of unfinished work: either the construction is still going on, or it is frozen. This is my second time in Vityazevo, the first time was in 2010. Here, every piece of land is used as a hotel or cafe. Most hotels build windows to windows. Not every boarding house can boast of a large territory, like ours.
15:00. The performance begins with an advertisement for a burger joint. The program is only 40 minutes long. Not bad, but there is no wow effect. I guess I just grew up. Dolphins, of course, class. At the end of the show, they offer to take a picture with them for 1000 R. There was a queue. There is no desire to stand for an hour, and if the quality is like in the oceanarium, then these photos are definitely not worth a thing.
4:15 pm. We go by bus to eat cakes at Natalia Volkonskaya’s confectionery house. −40 Р
Very beautiful place, pleasant interior. Cleanliness catches your eye, the toilet is sterile. I even took a picture there. The cakes are beautiful and delicious.
In a cafe, I realize that I’m tired of purely children’s recreation. I would gladly sit here with a friend or mother. I order us a cake, a juice for my daughter, I order raf coffee with lavender, it’s so-so. −1070 R
17:40. We don’t know what to do, we randomly go to the cinema. Upcoming cartoon at 19:00 – “Samurai Dog”. Wait a long time. We go to the trampoline, buy two small toys for 10 R in the machine. −250 R
18:40. Let’s go home. On the way, we go to Magnit for water and wet wipes. −60 Р
We go to Vityazevo by bus. They hardly waited and almost sat: the driver allowed me to sit on the mat between the front seats. −120 R
I have no complaints about transport here. Buses and minibuses run frequently and drive carefully. There are a lot of people, but it doesn’t bother me. I can close my eyes to a lot of things, I don’t notice any inconvenience or rudeness, it’s easy for me. The negative passes me by without affecting me.
19:30. We got there. We go to the boarding house along the new street, where they cook seafood on the grill. I take two langoustines and a red fish. Daughter – potatoes on a skewer. −446 Р
We also buy adhesive plasters. −50 Р
21:00. Daughter runs on the playground with a new girlfriend. I drink wine with yesterday’s friend and her husband. I was treated to very tasty wine and advised where to buy it. We must look there.
23:00. The girls eat French fries. The daughter is tired and asks to sleep. I put it down in a matter of minutes and return to the table.
We chat sincerely about daughters, food and wine. We exchange numbers and agree to meet at home. As it turned out, we live close to each other.
00:30. The guys are leaving tomorrow, and we go to bed. The make-up artist confirms the appointment on Friday. Hooray!
Seventh day, Wednesday
Daily expenses: 3175 R
07:00. We wake up. The daughter is kind of drooping. I check the temperature – + 37.7 ° C. Where? We don’t eat ice cream and cold, we’ve got our ears instilled — we don’t complain. Yesterday they said that many children here have a temperature of about +37 °C. Everyone sins with acclimatization. And for everyone it started not in the first days, but in the middle of the vacation.
I give antipyretics. I know that they don’t give it with such a temperature, but here I make an exception.
08:30. The temperature has dropped. My daughter does not want to go to the sea, nor does she want to go to the boat. Let’s go have breakfast. Everything is as usual: Nesquik and boiled sausage for her, coffee, sandwich and cookies for me. I take the boiled egg with me.
We started to have breakfast for health, and we finish as always: I ate two pieces of sausage, half of my sandwich, milk from Nesquik. Then hysteria, wants nothing. This is the last straw of my patience. I punish her, I deprive her of cartoons.
09:00. In the room, my daughter eats a watermelon and finishes her milkshake. We are not going to the beach. Temperature +35.9 °C. We decide to go to sleep. She didn’t get enough sleep: she went to bed late, got up early. And I remember that I completely forgot about the morning plank and vacuum. I did it twice in a week. I’ll put it off until home so that my conscience does not gnaw.
12:40. We wake up. I chat with my mother, complain about the well-being and whims of the child. Mom says she’s just tired. My daughter has no temperature, but neither does her appetite.
In the work chat, the results of work for July and information on bonuses are received. We have a very developed bonus system: a lot of small bonuses and salary. As my grandfather would say, “each step costs a ruble.” Not all awards will be 100% received.
I noticed a long time ago: they turned on the economy mode at work – at least a little, but they will cut it. Half of the employees quit, their duties were assigned to us and offered to pay extra, while taking a bite out of other bonuses. The result is almost the same, only more work. I try not to count in advance on something that is not there. I’ll get the money and then I’ll decide where to spend it.
13:30. We go to Marseille for lunch. Daughter chicken soup, two sausages with ketchup, apple juice. I’ll have herring under a fur coat and potatoes with bacon. −505 R
On the way we take a set of air plasticine. −100 R
14:20. We reach a place where they sell homemade wine recommended yesterday. Hard to find, not even a sign. We buy red sweets that we drank in the evening. I’ll take my mom. −400 R
15:00. My daughter asks to go to the pool, there are a lot of children there now. Let’s go. She swims in a vest by herself. I look after her, take her out a couple of times to warm up.
Buying an apple milkshake. −200 Р
In an hour we go to the room. My skin started to peel off on my back. An unpleasant sight. I am like a snake: I take off the old skin so that the new one appears.
17:10. I’m going to the sea. Before going out, my daughter eats a boiled egg and finishes her milkshake. I finish my watermelon and baklava.
18:10. We ride on a ship on the Black Sea. The motor ship is the largest of those that were there. I would love to ride on a yacht with a breeze, but I’m afraid that my daughter will get sick. I pay only for myself, my daughter is free. −1000 Р
There are a lot of people. We are sitting on the upper deck, taking a lot of beautiful pictures. I take chips. −180
19:10. We go to the coast. Sea trips are my thing. I love them with all my heart. We pick up a lot of shells on the shore.
On the way home we buy kvass and Mojito lemonade – 120 R, kebab with sauce – 156 R, oriental sweets – 514 R. -790 R
20:30. In a boarding house, a quest for children. Daughter joins. Lemonade does not look like a mojito, it is rather lemony, with sourness. What you need in the heat.
21:15. I rinsed my daughter and myself, we sit down to have dinner. She doesn’t eat much yet. He drinks kvass and eats chips. I don’t have the strength to force her. The vacation will end soon, and we will return to a normal diet and regimen. She usually has soup every day. In the morning, porridge, less often scrambled eggs or sausages. And I don’t eat so many sweets. I lost control on vacation. I love it very much, especially oriental sweets, so I sold out.
10:40 pm. We are playing air plasticine that we bought today. It is cool, does not stick to hands or textiles. Sold in a package without labels, the colors are arranged in zip bags for coins. You have to buy with you. The price is ridiculous, only 100 R.
23:40. After “Well, wait a minute!” I finally put her to bed. Temperatures, thank God, no. I’ll read a little and sleep too.
Day eight, Thursday
Daily expenses: 3399 R
05:50. I wake up from the fact that my daughter is shaking like an aspen leaf. She says that she is cold, lies open. I cover her with a blanket and a bedspread. Temperature +38.2 °C. Nightmare. Everything was fine last night.
I give medicine. I dilute rehydron so that there is no dehydration. To say that I’m upset is to say nothing. Neither I nor my brother had this in childhood. We went to the sea without adventures. True, I went for the first time at the age of ten, and my brother at the age of three, and everything is fine.
While my daughter is sleeping, I am writing to my mother and godfather. Maybe they will suggest. I’m canceling my photo session. I won’t get my deposit back. Don’t worry, I understand everything.
08:45. My daughter’s temperature either drops or rises. I want to call an ambulance, but the reception advises me to go to the hospital myself. We go by taxi in 10 minutes. There are few people, but all with children. Everyone has the same symptoms: fever, cough. −129P
09:15. Went to the doctor. The diagnosis is purulent tonsillitis, the initial stage. The main thing is to start treatment immediately. They prescribed medicines. We go back by taxi. −336 R
09:45. I leave my daughter under supervision in the children’s room. I manage to take her breakfast.
10:15. To buy all the medicines, I had to go around three pharmacies. Panavir was not found. They said it would be after lunch. We agreed to put it off. −1466 Р
She also popped into the bakery. I bought myself meat in pita bread, my daughter bought two sausages in dough. −280 Р
10:30 am. My daughter is hungry, she eats scrambled eggs, cheese, meringue. She takes medicine and plays with plasticine. I correspond with my mother and godfather. I eat Nesquik with milk – my daughter and I swapped breakfasts.
11:20. I measure the temperature. I’m even afraid to jinx it – +36.6 °C. We watch “Barboskins” and lie on the bed. I believe in the power of the universe, that it protects and informs us, so I think that all this has something to do with the photo session. For the first time in front of her, her daughter’s ear hurt, and now.
Things bought for a photo will come in handy – we will take a picture in our hometown. It’s a pity that I’ll have to spend the last few days in my room and get treated. But we managed to visit the dolphinarium, rides, ride a boat – everything is not so bad. I’m even a little glad to take a break from the beach and the heat. The only thing that makes me sad is that my daughter got sick.
12:15. Daughter eats boiled sausage. The temperature is stable. I eat sweet sherbet with grief.
My tea party. Staged photo, sitting inside four walls all day is boring
12:30. It’s raining. In such weather, you can sit at home. I go to the dining room of the boarding house to see what will be for dinner. Set meals are served here. Pea soup with croutons, my daughter is unlikely to. As soon as I go for medicine, I will buy soup in another canteen. Corresponding with BM.
13:30. Quiet hour.
15:20. We wake up. I’m trying to feed my daughter to give her medicine. Doesn’t want to. The temperature is again +37.7 °C.
15:55. Hooray! The daughter ate fruit puree and took medicine. I’m going for Panavir. I hope they brought it. The daughter will stay in the children’s room under supervision for now.
I buy medicine, groceries at Magnit, some of them for the journey home, sweets at the market, soup. −1188 R
17:15. I come back, feed my daughter with soup and give medicine.
17:40. I give my princess the second magazine “Princess”. The gift is a crown. Leafing through the magazine and doing tasks.
“Princess” and Queen’s Crown
18:20. I drink tea with oriental sweets. The daughter eats soup and drinks milk.
20:00. We watch movies on TV and sculpt from plasticine. Lara Croft is on STS. I don’t like Jolie, but she is good in this film. I’m watching a movie on TV for the first time in several years. The daughter eats Miracle curd and drinks milk.
21:25. I feed my daughter with the second cottage cheese. She loves him very much.
22:30. Watched the movie. Quickly my daughter, I wash myself. We measure the temperature – +36.3 ° C, take medication. We fool around before going to bed, my daughter does not give me a pillow, but I beg with kisses.
23:00. Everyone is sleeping, while I read. Hard day. I really want black coffee without sugar, but I only have tea. While washing, I realized that I missed the bathroom. There is only a shower in the boarding house. My mood dropped, but there are reasons for that.
23:25. I read and eat gummies. For some reason, I eat all sorts of rubbish all day long. It’s out of boredom. My problem: if there is nothing to do, I feel like chewing, even if I’m not hungry.
01:00. Sleep.
Afterword
We spent the remaining day and a half in the same way: we walked around Vityazev, I was treating my daughter. Her temperature did not rise any more. Finally, we went on rides, on the last day we went to say goodbye to the sea: we didn’t swim, we sat on the shore. We bought magnets and sweets as a gift. I don’t like to give souvenirs, at most magnets. I bring what you can eat or drink.
My vacation passed quickly. On the one hand, I’m a little tired of the children’s vacation, on the other hand, I would stay here again. I really wanted to go somewhere without a child, with a girlfriend, for example: hang out, dance. But in general it was great: new emotions, entertainment, the sea. Too bad my daughter got sick. At home, we went with her to our pediatrician – she said that everything was fine, and discharged us to kindergarten.
I liked Vityazevo, I had already been there and knew where I was going. I love the village for its sandy beaches and shallow sea. I liked the boarding house very much – the most with children. The only bad thing is that the pool is not heated and all the toys in the children’s room are broken.
During my vacation, I gained as much as 3 kilograms, which is a whole kilogram more than I mentally allowed myself. I counted calories again and did exercises. After a couple of weeks, she threw everything off, again 61 kilograms. Already planning my next vacation. I want to go to Sochi: I have never been there. But I don’t guess: in a situation like in our country and in the world, you can’t guess. And in September, I hope to get out with a friend for an adult vacation in Tula for the weekend and dance.
Thank you for reading my diary. I hope it wasn’t deadly boring.

, they didn’t do something … ”: who is responsible for the death of 15-year-old Arseny? | Stories
Arseniy Afonasenkov was a kind and ordinary 15-year-old teenager – he studied at school and communicated with his peers. But on September 4 of this year, Arseny’s heart stopped. The doctors’ diagnosis is systemic lupus erythematosus. The boy’s mother is sure that the doctors missed something in his treatment…
It all started in March 2021
In March last year, Arseniy was sent to the infectious diseases department of the Krasnoturyinsky children’s hospital, as the boy was diagnosed with lyme borreliosis, a natural focal disease transmitted by ticks. It is characterized by damage to the skin, joints, nervous and cardiovascular systems and often takes a chronic, relapsing course. Later, Arseniy’s mother provided a certificate that giardiasis had not been confirmed and that all this time Arseny’s treatment had been incorrect. In May, he was sent for treatment to Yekaterinburg.
– In Yekaterinburg, after some time, they wanted to discharge us, but Arseniy was in a bad condition. It was difficult for him to walk,” says Natalya, mother of 15-year-old Arseniy. – I don’t know what he was treated for, but when Arseniy called me and said that he couldn’t walk, I called the Ministry of Health. Oleg Averyanov contacted me there. I explained to him that my child is getting worse and worse …
On June 4, Arseniy was taken away by the National Medical Research Center for Children’s Health in Moscow. The boy passed the tests and then he was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, a chronic autoimmune disease.
– A doctor in Moscow who dealt with Arseniy told me that I should not worry, all autoimmune diseases are treated the same way. They will give Arseniy everything he needs to recover,” recalls Natalya Afonasenkova. – Although we never did a kidney biopsy to confirm or refute this diagnosis.
Arseniy was discharged on July 9, 2021. I managed to stay at home for only a week, as the tests were getting worse and the teenager had to go to the Yekaterinburg hospital again.
– On September 14, we were again transferred to Moscow. Arseniy was treated there, a lot of things were dripped, but I don’t know if they gave him the right drugs or the wrong ones. I can’t judge. I know that antibiotics were dripping and something for immunity. Then for some time Arseniy was treated for pneumonia. Where it came from, I don’t know. We were in the hospital for a long time…
Arseny was transferred to Yekaterinburg just before the New Year, December 27th. But not because of the improvement in well-being – the New Year holidays began in the Moscow hospital. In our regional hospital, the boy was put in intensive care alone. It was only on January 11 of this year that the patient was transferred back to Moscow. Arseniy was treated until March.
– Arseny felt like normal. We were treated until March, and then transferred to Yekaterinburg with a further discharge to the house. But already in the hospital, all his tests deteriorated again, and Moscow took us back three weeks later. They were treated there, it got better, the squirrel rose … As a result, we were discharged on June 26. We already came home then, made a passport and celebrated his 15th birthday on July 16, – says Arseniy’s mother.
The teenager did not manage to stay with his loved ones for a long time, because new pains on the right side of his chest forced him to return to the hospital. So, already in the morning 19August Arseniy and his mother flew to Moscow. According to Natalya, at that time, the tests were good and showed only a “minor pneumothorax” – a pathological accumulation of air in the pleural cavity, leading to a violation of the ventilation function of the lungs and gas exchange during breathing. Arseniy was supposed to be discharged a week later, on August 26, but he only got worse – the saturation (a measure of blood oxygen saturation) dropped and the examination showed damage to the lungs. Also, according to Natalia, on August 31, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (a type of gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria, the causative agent of nosocomial infections in humans) was found in Arseniy’s blood. It is not clear how it was brought into the boy’s body. But it is known that the bacterium is transmitted more often through care items and the hands of personnel, by airborne droplets or food.
– On August 19, we were already in Moscow, in the hospital. There he had a bronchoscopy, he passed the tests. A week later they wanted to discharge us. Even when the doctors saw him, they said: “Oh, Arseniy, how pretty you are.” Everything was fine, but then the saturation dropped and he was transferred to the intensive care unit. When I sat with him, he did not say anything, he just looked at me. He had such a look … I also thought that he was saying goodbye, I could not understand what it meant. He also told me that he couldn’t sleep. They didn’t let me see him anymore,” comments Arseniy’s mother. “I don’t understand how it happened. We arrived and everything was fine, hemoglobin was normal. He was put on medication and it only got worse and worse. They did a CT scan and nothing was visible. On the night of September 4, at 1.05, his heart could not stand it …
“The doctors overlooked something”
Natalya is sure that her son could have been saved.
– When they took Arseniy to the intensive care unit for the second time, I screamed that the doctors were missing something. It cannot be that she brought him back normal, and a week later he is already very ill. Arseny underwent a CT scan in Moscow, and a slight pneumothorax was shown there. Well, how is this possible? They changed his treatment, they gave him some different medicines, – Natalya comments. – On September 4, his heart stopped, but he never complained. When Arseniy had pains, I always asked about his heart, but he never had it. The pressure was also normal. The son’s treatment was wrong. In Moscow, bronchoscopy did not confirm covid, but he was still prescribed two drugs for covid. My son didn’t die of lupus erythematosus. I think the doctors missed his lungs, this pneumothorax…
According to Natalya, when Arseny was treated at the Moscow hospital, doctor Ivan Krivulin said that they would “play” with the drugs and see how they would affect Arseny’s health. In addition, the boy was prescribed the drug “Jaquinus”, which greatly reduces immunity.
– Everyone loved him. No matter how many people we met, they all said how good and kind Arseniy was. Now he would go to the 9th “B” class, – says my mother. “He was so kind, he helped everyone. Many knew him and they all loved and worried.
The funeral of Arseniy took place on September 10, last Saturday. Many people came to say goodbye to the boy – acquaintances, relatives, classmates. Natalya Afonasenkova thanks her relatives and friends, kindergartens No. 47, 34, secondary school No. 23 for the help, and also expresses her deep gratitude to the Eternity organization for help with transport.
Earlier E1.RU wrote that the Moscow Children’s Health Center, where Arseniy was treated, declined to comment.
Rheumatologist, neurologist and psychophysiologist, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences Pavel Evdokimenko explained to regional journalists that systemic lupus erythematosus is a complex autoimmune disease that affects many organs. It causes the immune system to produce antibodies that damage healthy cells in the body.
– Lupus is one of the mysteries of rheumatology, it is difficult to treat, and each patient has a different course. It is still unknown why the cells of the body suddenly begin to attack themselves, there are no specific causes of the onset of the disease, the doctor explained.
