Preschool Options

Attending preschool prior to kindergarten gives students a tremendous advantage. La Mesa Spring Valley Schools offers part-day (8:30 am – 11:30 am) preschool opportunities to 3 and 4 year old children. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow and explore. Our preschool classes support each child’s individual academic, physical and social-emotional growth by providing developmentally appropriate lessons, materials, indoor and outdoor space, equipment, and guidelines for active play, movement and exploration that are healthy and safe.

Curriculum in our preschool is based on California Preschool Curriculum Framework and teaches the Preschool Learning Foundations. Hands-on, fun learning activities provide experiences that develop the knowledge and skills our youngest learners should know before entering kindergarten. Active, playful exploration and experimentation is encouraged and intentional opportunities are planned throughout the preschool day making our preschool program the best foundation for your child’s educational career.

The collaboration and partnership between school and home begins now. Experiences both in the home and at school are the foundation for continued academic and social success in years to follow. We encourage families to be involved in their child’s learning and volunteer throughout the school year.

Students must be potty trained to enroll in LMSV Preschool.

LMSV State-Funded Preschool enrollment requires income and other eligibility criteria. Students must be or turn four years of age by December 1st of the current school year in order to enroll in our State Funded Preschool classes. Avondale Elementary, Bancroft Elementary, Kempton Street Literacy Academy, La Mesa Dale Elementary, La Presa Elementary, Rancho Elementary and Sweetwater Springs campuses are homes to our State Preschool classes. Description:

I received my bachelors degree in Pre-K/Primary education. My journey in education began in 1992, as a senior in high school. My first job was as a before and afterschool teacher. While earning my degree, Iworked in several areas of education starting as teacher’s assistant, and working my way up to Kindergarten teacher and Title 5 Preschool director. I am grateful for my degree and even more grateful for the employment opportunities. Soon after I started my first teaching assignment, I realized I wasn’t fulfilled and I missed the preschool age group. In 2004 I decided to start my own home child care center. Opening my center was the best decision, In the years I have been in business I have help mold and raise over 60 children. Several students who were among the first group I cared for have returned to assist me. My program is play based with appropriate learning materials. There is a strong emphasis on Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our subject matter is child driven. Each child will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of tasks that will allow for a balanced daily schedule of individual and small and large group activities. My home will become your child’s second home, therefore we focus on the whole child. We model and encourage manners and social etiquette. We model appropriate behavior and language, always emphasizing on showing kindness to others. An example of this is our approach to meal time. We all gather together to enjoy our meals. We model appropriate eating habits and graces. We hold conversations with children and model family style dining. We build on team work by asking others to pass food and encourage all to try new things. Pet care is also a part of our daily routine. Children learn how to care properly for our pets. They learn to recognize pet boundaries and how to use gentle touches. We believe that there is a learning experience in everything that we do.
Facility Includes: Two classrooms, One large living room, Large playground (swing set, climbers, play house, balls, water/sensory table and rock box),…

First of all, I don’t even know where to begin! I found Miss Cindy on Care.com and I am so blessed and glad I did! My son was in her & the staff’s care from 2018 when he was 8 months old. Being a first-timemother, she ensured my son was safe and clean. Her daycare is always clean, orderly, and welcoming. It was his second home for sure. Miss Cindy has a learning curriculum for the children to interact with each other to apply real-life independent skills daily like manners, setting the table for meals, full potty training, cleaning up a mess they made, making sure others are at their best, and a well thought through educational plans with reading, writing, counting and more.
The ONLY reason I moved on to a different daycare was because my son was the oldest and all the other children were younger than him (like infants to 3-year-olds). She was very transparent and informed me of his education and development would thrive with peers his age and older. Miss Cindy & her staff cared enough to see him thrive and blossom even not with them with the suggestion given. My son was not just a number or another kid to her and her staff. I wish I could duplicate her a million times! She is truly gifted in her mission to care for children.
I definitely recommend her care for your little ones!…

FAQ
Q: What age range do you accept?
Generally, we only accept infants who are 18 months and older. However, we may make an exception for a child who can walk and feed him/her self. If your child doesn’t have these skills, it’s best for you to sign up for our waiting list. However, we will except school age students for drop-in purposes. We understand that families need services when their school may have an extended holiday break or school closer dates.
Q: Do you have a cut off age?
Yes. Our enrollment cut-off age is four-years-old. We strongly believe that children need to graduate from childcare to preschool at age four. Just as students in an elementary, middle and high school are usually grouped by age, we find that the four-year-olds are ready to break away from the toddlers and infants to prepare for kindergarten.
Q: Do you accept part-time enrollments? I was thinking of using a childcare service for two or three days a week.
As a family childcare home, we have a limited number of students we can enroll. It doesn’t make sense for us to allocate space for part-time students. You are welcome to enroll your child on a full-time basis and not send him/her every day. But we do charge full tuition for every child regardless of the number of days he/she attends.
Q: What are your hours?
Our regular hours are from 7:30 to 5:30. Ther…

Best school in El Cajon area!! Due to Covid, my child’s daycare closed. We toured a couple of daycares around but only at AOP, they made us feel welcomed since our first visit! The director was super friendlyand able to answer all my questions. The teachers were so nice as well and all the kids were having fun!!! After a couple of weeks with the school, all teachers make me feel like they truly love and care for my son! “La Maison” is a private kindergarten near Istra , just a few minutes separate the city and the village of Dukhanino. Our kindergarten is located in the wonderful suburban cottage village “Dukhanino-4”, where all the houses are built of glued beams in country style, where environmentally friendly materials are the basis of housing construction, and respect for nature is the main value of the village residents.

Development Center “La Maison” is a great opportunity to plunge into the creative environment in many areas, such as painting, pottery, decorative arts, music and much more. Discover hidden talents in your child that will expand his worldview. Classes are conducted by real professionals. Many classes are included in the kindergarten curriculum.

Where did the name “La Maison” come from?

The name “La Maison” is not accidental!

Firstly, I wanted the kindergarten to become a second home for children: cozy, warm and beautiful. Secondly, I wanted to add to our sometimes rainy and cloudy climate of the Moscow Region the feeling of a hot summer on the seashore. For this, the interior style of the kindergarten is made in the Provence style, which was born in the south of France, known for its wonderful, picturesque landscapes, wonderful blue sea and bright sun. These components formed the basis of the interior of the kindergarten.

In the photo: south of France.

Having united all desires, the name “La Maison” was born, which means “HOUSE” in French

La Maison for your child is:
