Our Campus
We are lucky to have 6 beautiful wooded acres on a hilltop overlooking scenic Sparta Glen. We have 2 playgrounds, a trike path, and open play fields–plenty of room for our children to exercise, explore, and discover. Our large, friendly and warm school building allows us to have a designated classroom for each age group, each with its own restroom and anti microbial air filtration system. We also have an indoor play gym for when the weather is gloomy. A full kitchen for budding chefs and bakers, and a children’s library will be coming during our next phase of renovations! Our large property allows us to offer unique outdoor experiential learning opportunities, including working vegetable and flower gardens for our children to grow their own food and learn how to cultivate plants.
Academic and Developmental Curriculum
Our research-based experiential academic & developmental curriculum weaves 35 skills into playful games and discovery projects.
Each month has a unique theme. Themes help children construct knowledge and build connections through real experiences. Instead of having a day of disjointed activities, themes organize new information around a unified context which results in a growing web of knowledge. Each theme creatively integrates colors, shapes, numbers and letters of the month.
Emotional Development Curriculum
Woven into the children’s daily activities is our exclusive Kindness Curriculum which develops children’s emotional intelligence by teaching and emphasizing key interpersonal skills including: empathy, emotional expression, conflict resolution, healthy communication, resilience, and personal responsibility
Parent Involvement
We are excited to regularly share your child’s progress with you via our parent/guardian communication tool in our school management software app, as well as during parent/teacher conferences offered twice per year. Active communication between teachers and families allows for collaboration.
By sharing child portfolios and talking about child interests, a learning plan can incorporate both the child’s and family’s needs. We value the relationships our staff form with our parents, and we invite parents to participate in events on campus throughout the year.
Safety Measures
We have taken great care to make sure our school building is secure using current school security technologies, processes and procedures. On the exterior we have taken steps to make sure our physical building is secure, and our grounds are constantly monitored.Our owner and administrative staff constantly circulate throughout the school, and each classroom has a camera monitored by our owner and directors. All staff are first aid and CPR trained. To stop the spread of contagious illness, our building is fitted with antimicrobial air purification systems, and thorough cleaning of high touch objects and surfaces occurs throughout each day. In the event of the need for social distancing measures, etc.
we will adhere to mandated safety measures and our outdoor classroom spaces are able to accommodate all students simultaneously 3 seasons of the year.
