Children provide their own diapers, pull ups and wipes. Older children keep on hand a change of clothes.

Holiday scenario for mothers with children of older and preparatory groups attending an English circle.

Purpose: To introduce the traditions of English-speaking countries to celebrate Mother’s Day

Tasks:

Developing:

  • to develop interest in joint actions based on joyful experiences;
  • introduce children into the world of culture of the country of the language being studied, correlate it with their native culture;
  • to develop all components of children’s oral speech in various forms and types of children’s activities;
  • to form in children the skills and abilities of independent solution of elementary communicative tasks within a certain set of spheres and situations of communication.

Educational:

  • introduce children to the English holiday – “Mother’s Day”
  • to introduce children into the world of culture of the country of the language being studied, to correlate it with their native culture.

  5. Making carnations for a gift to mothers with children.
  6. A conversation with children about the traditions of celebrating Mother’s Day in England.

Equipment and materials:

  1. Masks (chicken, cat, dog, duck, 2 chickens, mouse, 3 kittens) and attributes for staging the fairy tales “Red Hen” and “Three little kittens”.
  2. Top hats with canes for dancing.
  3. Soundtrack of the song “Old MacDonald had a farm”.
  4. Hoops and models of apples, frying pans and models of pancakes for games “Apples on the floor” and “Pancakes”.
  5. Gifts – carnations (crafts made by children) for mothers.
  6. Attributes for poems “Mom’s Helpers”.

Beautiful music sounds “ Hello ” (disc). Children enter the festively decorated hall.

Dear mothers and grandmothers, we congratulate you on the holiday – Mother’s Day! We wish you happiness, health, beauty and love! Mother’s Day is one of the favorite holidays in England and America. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of March in England and on the second Sunday of May in America. The Americans and the British have a custom to decorate their houses and clothes with carnations on this day: red and white, thus paying tribute to the memory, love and respect for their mothers.

Our children prepared handmade gifts for their mothers and a festive concert.
