All Sunshine House schools in Georgia offer free Georgia Pre-K classes on a first come basis. 

We are one of the largest Georgia Pre-K provider in the state. This means we meet or exceed strict standards for Pre-K program components, curriculum and assessments, and teacher credentials. We’ve also been parent-trusted for more than 45 years! We’ve been providing early care and education for families across the country since 1975. We invite you to join our family!

Georgia Pre-K Overview

The overall goal of the Georgia Pre-Kindergarten program is school readiness.

Georgia Pre-K emphasizes the following:

  • Active learning
  • Consistent daily routines
  • Positive behavioral management
  • Assessment strategies

The curriculum includes language and literacy, math concepts, science, social studies, arts, physical development, and social and emotional competence.

Pre-K Program Length & School Year

Georgia Pre-K provides a full 6.5-hour instructional day, 5 days a week, 180 days a year. Extended day services (before- and after-school care) are also available.

Demand often exceeds our available classroom space, so we encourage families to enroll early to secure their slot.

Eligibility / Registration Requirements

Georgia’s Pre-K Program is free to all four-year-old children, regardless of parental income. Children must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the upcoming or current school year, and a resident of Georgia.

The following is required by the State of Georgia to register your child for this program. Please bring these forms with you for registration:

  • Child’s Social Security Card
  • Child’s proof of age (birth certificate, passport, hospital record of live birth, green card, pink card or Federal I-94 card)
  • Proof of Georgia residency (utility bill, rental / mortgage agreement or letter from employer)
  • Completed Bright from the Start enrollment form

Forms required before school begins:

  • Immunizations (DHR Form 3231)
  • Hearing, vision and dental examination certificates (DHR Form 3300)

GSW Pre-K | Georgia Southwestern State University

The GSW Pre-K is currently a Georgia lottery-funded Pre-kindergarten Program serving for four-year-old children in two classrooms within a full-day program. Children must be four by September 1 to qualify for admission to the Georgia Pre-K Program. The program is free for all participants.

The program is staffed by competent Early Childhood professionals. The lead teacher in each classroom holds an Early Childhood Education teaching certificate from the State of Georgia, and the assistant teachers are both trained and experienced in working with preschool children. All teachers participate in ongoing professional development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills to support their continuing professional development. 

In addition to the teachers, the program is directed by a full-time member of the faculty in the College of Education at GSW.

The calendar is a modified version, incorporating elements of the GSW calendar and public school calendars.

It is the family’s responsibility to arrange transportation for the children to attend the Center. Children may be dropped off between 7:50 am and 8:00 am. Pick-up is between 2:20 pm and 2:30 pm.

Snack & Lunch

Children bring both snack and lunch each day. The Center provides a microwave oven. Teachers will heat food that needs to be served warm.

Additional Information

The educational programming in the Center is based on the Learn Every Day Curriculum in which children are introduced to many experiences that contribute to their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. Curriculum is based on a combination of self-selected and teacher-guided educational experiences in the context of whole-group, small-group, and individualized learning opportunities. Children are encouraged to develop a positive disposition toward schooling and learning. The curriculum adheres to The Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).

JS Course The Rolling Scopes School

JavaScript/Front-end course

A free course from The Rolling Scopes community for those who want to gain knowledge and experience sufficient for employment as a Junior Software Engineer in JavaScript /Front end.

RS School has a “Pay it forward” principle. We share our knowledge with students for free now, hoping that in the future they will return to us as mentors and pass on their knowledge to the next generation of students in the same way.

For everyone

A new enrollment of students starts every six months and has about 6000-7000 people.

Everyone can study at RS School, regardless of age, occupation or place of residence. However, for training, you must have BASIC KNOWLEDGE.

World Wide Mentors and Trainers

430 mentors participate in the training. Our mentors are front-end and javascript developers from various companies and countries.

How to become a mentor?

Training format

Webinars 3 times a week in the evening.

You will need 20-40 hours per week to successfully complete the program.

Certificate of successful completion of the course is issued to all who have completed two stages of training.

Required basic knowledge

What basic knowledge must be MANDATORY before starting training?

  • Understanding the basics of HTML and CSS, having practical layout skills.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript (data types, operators, loops, conditionals, functions).
  • Knowledge of data structure and organization (array, list, stack, queue, tree, etc.).
  • Be able to implement a fairly simple algorithm in the JavaScript programming language. For example, sorting or searching for array elements.

    History

    Zabulon was founded in 1825. The city was named after Zebulon Pike, a war hero and explorer. [7]
