About Our Program

The Owens Community College Findlay Child Care Center uses the Reggio Emilia philosophy in teaching children. Named after a small town in Italy, the Emilia philosophy stresses reflection, practice and further reflection. The philosophy states that every child has the right to grow and learn in a favorable environment. The preschools in Reggio Emilia are regarded as one of the 10 best early childhood programs in the world, according to several national publications.

How safe are kindergartens in the era of coronavirus?

Child care during the coronavirus pandemic is best described as clinical.

Checking temperatures, washing hands and wearing a mask: consistent characteristics of preschools and nurseries nationwide. Class sizes are limited and some canteens and common areas are sealed off. The security measures are a constant reminder to families that we live in strange times. nine0003

Part of the country is very cautiously returning to a more or less normal life, and working parents are in desperate need of preschools. However, they should carefully weigh the risk of sending children outside the safety of their home to be cared for by someone else.

Main question: is it safe?

“We don’t know,” says Danette Glassey, a pediatrician in Seattle. “There is no scientific answer to this question until more time has passed.”

Parents and childcare providers should consider the extent of the outbreak in their area and take the health and safety measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The goal is to reduce the impact of the virus as much as possible.

Imagination Station Kindergarten in Daytona Beach, Florida was closed until April. Now the children go back there every day – but they communicate in the same small groups, wash their hands often and play only with toys that can be easily washed. Kindergarten owner Kim Wukelya says she opened her doors because her staff wanted to return to work. nine0003

“We are at a crossroads,” she said. “And we don’t know where to go.”

Attendance is very low compared to what it used to be, but the parents who send their children there every day are grateful for the help.

“Basically, we realized that the virus is not going anywhere,” said Melissa Owens, who dropped off her 4-year-old daughter Cora at Imagination Station. She works for an agency that staffs clinical labs, including those that do coronavirus testing. “We just need to be vigilant that our school keeps students and parents safe while following all protocols.” nine0003

At Imagination Station, these protocols stipulate that only one parent can pick up or drop off a child at a designated time. At the entrance, a masked teacher measures a child’s temperature with a non-contact thermometer. Children should put their lunch boxes in special containers to avoid cross-contamination. They go to the playground, have to wash their hands, and only then can they move on to the next activity. Their parents are not allowed to go inside.

Children of health care providers, first responders, and other essential workers have returned to preschools in almost every state following similar procedures. nine0003

For many parents, this is not just a safety issue, but also a financial one. They cannot work if they cannot leave their children in the care of a trusted person during the day.

WWE Smackdown: 12/04/2020

  • Air date: 12/04/2020
  • Previous SmackDown: 11/27/2020
  • Next SmackDown: 12/11/2020
  • City: Orlando, Florida, USA
  • Arena: WWE Thunderdome
  • TV channel: FOX
  • TV audience: 1.29(2.130 = 2.053 + 2.004)
  • Interviewer: Kayla Braxton
  • Ring announcer: Greg Hamilton
  • Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves

The show opens with the entire roster taking the stage with a moment of silence in memory of the late Patterson. Commemorative screen, ten strokes. Both Vince and Gerald Briscoe came out with the roster.

The show opens with Kayla Braxton, she has an interview with Roman Reigns. Heyman, under the direction of Reigns, makes a correct representation of Reigns. Kayla asks Reigns about the events of last week, when he demanded that Usos gesture – watch the video. Raines is annoyed by the question, saying that Kayla is incompetent, that Cole did it better. Kayla asks if Usou has become his easy-to-manipulate pawn? Raines praises Jay a little, reminds them how they helped Kayla on Talking Smack, but she flunked everything. Heyman continues by saying that Jay – with the support of Reigns – was able to pull himself together and become stronger. The discussion is interrupted by Kevin Owens. He says he’s not afraid of anything, but suggests that Usou should answer for himself. Jay says he doesn’t mind fighting. Owens interrupts him and says that he did not address his challenge to the kid, but to the main one. To the head of the table. Owens proposes a match at TLC. You can, says Owens, sit at the table, bring ladders and chairs. Reigns could put the title on the line. They would have dealt like men. But you can do everything now, because it will also suit him. Raines says Owens is only buckling up because he can get something for himself out of it to keep his place on the Island of Significance. They are not afraid of anyone with Jay and accept the challenge for a team match. Raines promises to kick Owens all the places, but not right now. He’s not a savage, he’s a gentleman, and there’s a lady in the room, so Owens needs to grow up. Reigns leaves, The Usos and Heyman following him. Owens yells after him that he will grow after Raines’s balls grow. Reigns can say all sorts of things, but it’s clear to everyone that he’s just a bitch. Raines leaves. nine0003

Seriously? “Bitch”, “eggs”? This is face, right?

There is a big 3v3 match ahead in memory of Pat Patterson, well, a verbal showdown between Carmella and Sasha Banks.

After the commercial, Jay Uso complains to Reigns that Owens has gone overboard. Raines says they need to be mindful of the consequences. Raines says he loves Jay and leaves.

– First match –
Natalia vs Bailey
Referee Ryan Tran

Bianca Bilar has joined the commentators. Bianca has beads on her glasses. nine0003

At the end of the match, Bailey missed a kick to the corner, Natalia went to Sniper, Bailey resisted, but still got caught.

Winner: Natalia (6:05)

After the match, Bailey and Bianca yelled at each other, although Bianca laughed more.

Another video in memory of the deceased Patterson. The very first Intercontinental Championship belt, won by Patterson, was carried into the hall. In Rio de Janeiro. A few shots of his career. The song My Way by Frank Sinatra, which he adored. nine0003

– Second match –
Daniel Bryan, Big E and Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zain and Shinsuke Nakamura
Referee Jason Ayers

Big E clapped his hands with powder during the exit like in the good old pre-new days.

Winners: Brian, Mysterio and Biggie (11:30)
WON Score: 4.0

After the match, the brawl continued, and as a result, Dolph Ziggler performed a session of selling the finishers of all opponents.

Backstage, Kayla digs into Kevin Owens, why is he so hooked on Raines? Owens says he used to respect Reigns, he was always one of them, but something has changed and now he’s insufferable. He himself is not perfect, but he always acknowledged if people changed. And he was always courteous to all WWE employees, including the tech staff. Callisto walks in, he doesn’t understand what’s going on. Incomprehensible kind of humor, and Owens continues on the theme of Raines. Otis comes out, they’re ready for the match and they’ll win. nine0003

More tributes to Patterson.

War of words from Carmella and Sasha Banks. They’re in different dressing rooms, interrupting Cole, cursing at each other. Banks believes that Carmella wants to be like her. Carmella calls Sasha an unfortunate parody of Nikki Minaj. Cole recalls how they have known each other for a long time, how they trained in their youth. Banks agrees with this, but she does not like Carmella’s “windy” behavior. And they didn’t have matches, because Sasha is in a different league. Carmella thinks Banks is jealous of her. Banks worked her whole life to become a WWE star, and she got it all in one day. Banks is right, they’re in different leagues, but she’s always been the coolest, and Sasha is pissed off about it. She is not just the coolest girl, she will also disgrace Sasha by taking her title. Banks offers to do it on TLC. She threatens that Carmella has never been in the ring with a tougher bitch than her. Carmella laughs. nine0003

Bitch again!? And the first time it’s an insult, and the second time it’s kind of cool. Bingo!?

– Third match –
King Corbin vs Murphy (with the Mysterio family)
Referee Dan Engler

Corbin entered the ring in the company of security guards, who later turned out to be Steve Cutler and Blake.

In the end, Corbin indicated with his hands that the Sons attacked Ray and Dominic, they obeyed, hit them, then fled. Murphy went to investigate, but ended up in Corbin’s End of Days in the ring. nine0003

Winner: King Corbin (10:30)

Profit drives the main event, Robert Rude comes out. He makes them attempts to discuss other people’s affairs. Cesaro also comes out, the argument flares up. Ford and Dawkins ask where are their titles? The scream continues.

Face’s last argument is “where are the titles”? Straight seriously??

More videos, more tributes to Pat. Participants of the main event in the ring. Corey Graves unexpectedly states that the responsibility for Jay that Raines had previously talked about could turn out to be a handicap match. And suddenly it does. nine0003

– Fourth match –
Kevin Owens and Otis vs Roman Reigns and Jay Uso (with P. Heyman)
p
Referee Danilo Anfibio

Reigns, as if testing the patience of The Usos, did not come out immediately. He, in frustrated feelings and constantly looking back, entered the ring. Jay and Otis start. Otis immediately throws The Usos into the corner, hits the body, connects his knees. He throws The Usos in the opposite corner, adds a chop, The Usos tries to fight back.

Otis throws him into the center of the ring, The Usos gets up, elbows, runs, but Otis meets him with a beautiful turnaround closeline. Otis holds the whip in his corner, attacks with a running start, but The Usos runs out of the corner, Otis flies shoulder-to-shoulder into the ring post between the turnbuckles. Owens takes the tag, corners The Usos, throws punches. Whip – Usos reverses and performs a Samoan drop. nine0003

And then the Leader’s music plays, and Raines enters the hall. The Usos and Owens get up quietly, Jay lifts Owens, but he escorts Enzigiri from his seat. Reigns asks for a tag, Jay crawls to his corner, but Reigns jumps into the ring without waiting and attacks Otis with a Superman Punch! He falls down, and Reigns immediately rushes to him, beats on the edge of the ring, on the commentators’ table, and then accelerates into the ring stand, and then into the stairs. He removes the top section of the steps and hits the prone Otis with them five times! Owens comes to his senses and attacks Reigns, hits him, hits the commentators table, but in turn, The Usos flies at him with a jump! Raines is angry, Advertising. nine0003

We’re on the air, during the commercial, Otis was helped out of the room by the judge and Chad Gable. Owens is one against two. Owens throws a kick and whip, but Reigns reverses and hits a jump closeline. Reigns wrings Owens’ hand, passes the tag to Jay, and then propels Kevin into a Theuso uppercut! Owens lies in his corner, rises, Uso hits him on the head, scoring in the ground and not allowing him to get up. He still choke Kevin, adds a punch, but the referee drives him away. Usou steps back to the opposite corner and delivers Cannonball. Owens swerved and held his cannonball!! Reigns is frustrated and The Usos get up, trying to start a trade. Owens wins, holds the whip. The Usos reverses, bends down, Owens kicks him, The Usos counters with a right hand, but Owens closeline from the ropes, followed immediately by a running Senton. Owens pushes The Usos into the ropes, he clings to them, Owens takes a run, but The Usos meet him with an elbow. The Usos closeline, but Owens ducks, throws a kick and DDT – hold to 2. Reigns looks at Owens with an angry face, he offers to enter the ring. Reigns chases him off while Owens runs to the corner on The Usos. He meets him with an elbow, but Owens performs a Samoan drop. nine0003

Reigns enters the ring, Uso tries to seize the moment and hits him from behind. Owens fights back, but Reigns immediately knocks him out with an uppercut. Superkick from Jay, he climbs the ropes, Reigns turns to him, demands a tag. The Usos get down on the mats, drag Owens to his corner, Reigns takes the tag, but Owens revives, hits both opponents, stunner, hold – Reigns rips him! He grabs Owens at the Guillotine, and the judge immediately disqualifies him – no countdown, no warnings. A very strange quick fix. nine0003

Winners: Owens and Otis (10:25)

The Usos bring a couple of chairs into the ring, Reigns kicks the referee out.
