Preschool & Daycare

First Steps Academy uses the A Beka curriculum, supplemented with the Beyond Cribs and Rattles curriculum for infants, toddlers, and children in K2 classes, and with WEE Learn curriculum for children in K3 classes and VPK. In addition to this curriculum, all of the teachers at First Steps emphasize phonetics, alphabet and number recognition, health, safety, manners, and dramatic play.

Voluntary Pre-K (VPK)

First Steps Academy offers the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program to all eligible four-year-olds. Our VPK classes are offered Monday through Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm. We also offer various wraparound options for working parents. For a competitive fee, your child can attend full time (Monday through Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. Our VPK program very closely follows the schedule laid out by the Orange County Public Schools. Please inquire about a school calendar that details start and end dates and school holidays.

Day Camps

Any time Orange County Public Schools is closed, but First Steps is open, First Steps offers a day camp for elementary-aged students. We provide day camps during summer, spring, and winter breaks. Daily activities as well as weekly field trips provide children with a fun and exciting time.

Brief history
