Process operators supervise the day-to-day running of a manufacturing plant or industrial facility. They are particular about the production process, and they have to ensure that production operations go on smoothly. It is your job to carry out regular maintenance checks and ensure that all equipment works in its best states. Your duties also involve managing work schedules, performing audits, assessing the performance of employees, and ensuring all safety rules and regulations are adhered to. Machine Operator
Role:
Someone has to operate the machine – why not you? Machine operators are able to transfer a variety of objects through the use of machinery. So if driving a forklift around sounds like your idea of fun, then maybe this is the job for you.
Some machine operators need training in order to operate certain machinery such as cranes and excavators. The hours you work as a machine operator can vary, but often include overtime, night shifts, and weekend shifts.
As a machine operator, you have lots of industries you could go into, from warehousing and storage to food manufacturing and construction. The list goes on and on. Depending on the industry, your work can take you outside or you may get to work inside.

Process operator. All employees of the company are ultimately process operators. Some of them are appointed by the president and process owners. Such operators play special roles in the company, which are discussed above. In other cases, process operators perform the following tasks [c.153]

The principle of organizing the new structure corresponds to a pyramid lying on its side, in the sense that customers are now not at the bottom, but at the side , i.e. as if they are equal partners of the company. The performers interacting with clients are now process operators, and the middle managers are leaders (managers) of process instances.

Self-monitoring. It seems possible to increase the productivity of the process based on the introduction of self-control for persons carrying out the process, which implies that the process operator knows the expected results (1), knowledge of the process implementation technique (2), and the ability to regulate the process (3). The ability to control a process requires that the process be fit for purpose and that the operator have the means, knowledge, skill and authority to make the necessary adjustments. A traditional hierarchical functional company has several levels of managers (eg top, middle, line). At the bottom of the hierarchy, where most of the work is done, are the customer service workers. Clients are practically “at the bottom” of the structure (Fig. 2.2). In the new company, customers are not at the bottom, but at the side of the company, as if they were equal partners. The direct executors interacting with customers are process operators. Middle level managers are the leaders of the groups responsible for the corresponding processes (process managers).

The process owner enters into an agreement with process operators whom he invites to work with him. A tripartite agreement is made between the operator, the process owner and the resource owner. Proposals for such an agreement are submitted to the operator and, if he agrees with them, all parties sign and accept them. In addition, the process owner appoints a manager (leader) for each of his specific processes. This leader has operational responsibility for the specific process assigned to him.

In the new company, the process manager (see figure 2.2) also recruits people from different departments based on their experience and training, as well as the tasks that the process should perform, and organizes them into a team (team). One of the possible causes of accidents in the operation of complex technical systems of increased danger are errors in the actions of the operator associated with his natural psychophysical characteristics or their deterioration at a given time due to emotional or physical stress. To reduce the likelihood of operator errors, professional selection of operators of such systems is provided. It is carried out both before hiring, and in the process of it. Functional departments of enterprise management have no right to give orders to the heads of shops, installations without the knowledge of the director or chief engineer. The departments of the enterprise manage the workshop apparatus, developing general principles and methods for organizing labor and the production process. When developing normalized assignments for time workers of this group, the Ministry of Gas Industry of the USSR recommends the collection Labor costs for gas production, transportation and processing, compiled in the former. TsNISgazprom. In the Gas Transportation section, the collection contains labor costs for servicing the equipment and production processes of gas distribution stations, gas reduction plants for the own needs of compressor stations, gas compressor units such as GPA-Ts-6.3, GTK-10, compressor stations equipped with gas compressor units with electric drives, linear part gas pipelines with a diameter of 219-720 mm, ECP installations against corrosion, etc. In addition, passport and technological data of the serviced equipment and structures are taken as the basis for the development of standardized tasks for time workers servicing process units, gas compressor units and auxiliary equipment of compressor stations, gas pipelines and gas distribution stations . An example of a normalized task for GDS operators and GCS technological compressor drivers is given below in 4.5 and 5.2.

There are two categories of workers in the LPUMG, some are associated with a continuous production process (compression, transport and distribution of gas, as well as work at technological communication nodes), others – with a periodic one (repair, maintenance and other work). Shift schedules for a 5-day working week lasting 41 hours with two days off were approved by the USSR Ministry of Gas Industry on 12/11/78 and agreed with the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Oil and Gas Industry Workers on 11/14/78 (minutes No. 23). For normal work according to the recommended schedules, it is necessary to develop measures that provide organizational, technical and technological management of production. The introduction of price surcharges by Algeria coincided with a period of general rise in the cost of liquid fuel in the world capitalist market, as well as with an increase in the US dollar, which significantly complicated the problem of paying for the supply of this product for many importers, including France. Thanks to the contracts concluded with the Algerian state company, French firms, firstly, received, as it were, a partial delay in the process of increasing the cost of their oil imports from the PDR, since the collection of surcharges ceased immediately after the signing of the contracts, and the agreed amounts of investments in exploration were realized gradually, usually within four years old. Secondly, if a foreign firm was appointed as the operator of these works, then in fact it got the opportunity to compensate for a certain share of the cost of purchased fuel (at least in the amount of a premium to its price) by counter deliveries of production services to the ANDR.
