Stephanie is reliable and faithful to her word and the good of those she is caring for. Her mature and responsible choices have always made me very much appreciate her work ethic. She had a remarkable devotion to the things she takes on to do.

Lanna M.

We have had Lanna over to watch our 10 month old daughter a few times now over the last few months for date nights. She is amazing! She’s great with our daughter, texts us updates, and our house is always clean and she even folds our laundry for us as well as doing our daughters laundry if it needsto be done, all without being asked! She goes above and beyond and we always enjoy our time out together because we know our daughter is in great hands with Lanna! We highly recommend her!. ..

Angela H.

Hiring Angela and her team was the best decision we made after the arrival of our twin boys! Angela is extremely communicative and reliable, warm and friendly and genuinely passionate about infant care and the postpartum experience. She always made us feel like we were her priority. She would checkin with me periodically before the twins were born and on days between shifts just to see how we were holding up. We ended up working with multiple people on her team over the course of 2 months and Melissa was fantastic. We were the first family of twins that she’d care for but you would never know it! I always felt like they were in great hands when I went to bed for the evening. As experienced moms, these women are a wealth of knowledge, yet they were always respectful of what our preferences were for feeding and caring for the twins. I would HIGHLY recommend Angela and her team if you are looking for overnight help in the SLC area!…

Susan babysat for our two young children at a hotel while we were at a wedding. She was by far the best babysitter we could’ve asked for. She was warm, flexible, and had a wonderful attitude. Our kids loved their time with Susan – she brought great toys to play with and clearly loved playing withand looking after young children. We trusted her implicitly, and she put us at ease so we could enjoy our night out at the wedding. Can’t recommend Susan highly enough!…

Hi there! I am a registered dietitian by day and gardener, baker, trail runner by night (except the nights I’m watching your kid(s)! I decided to re-active my Care. com profile after several years (and agraduate degree later) to just pick up some extra cash for fun things. Past experience includes babysitting infants all the way up to early teens for several families. My preference is to find a kind family who need occasionally babysitting (weekly to monthly) in the evenings for date nights. I’m happy to facilitate feedings: bottles and dinner as needed. I will try to work with you for occasional Sunday evening and work-night date availability as needed….

I am a previously certified Advanced EMT, certified BLS Provider, and UDA member. In addition to my own children, I have delivered twins and two singletons as a surrogate over the past 6 years. Drop-Off Child Care Options in NYC for Date Night | MommyPoppins

Date Night Pajama Party at CAMP lets grownups drop off the kids for activities—while you get a night for grownup fun. Photo courtesy of camp

10/14/19 – By Stephanie Ogozalek

If date night is a distant memory, it’s probably time to book a couple’s night out. But in a city as pricey as New York, babysitting costs can really blow up your date night budget.

While you might luck into an occasional care swap with another family, you shouldn’t have to wait until your kid is old enough for sleepovers or sleepaway camp to enjoy a night on the town. Luckily several play spots in the city offer safe, supervised drop-off care for kids, often for less than your average sitter. Better still: Not only do you get some adult time, your kids will have enough fun that they’ll be begging for your next night out soon enough.

Read on for 10 cool date-night drop-off spots, plus some tips for dealing with child care emergencies day or night.

92nd Street Y Kids Night Out – Upper East Side
1395 Lexington Avenue
Friday nights, 6-9pm
Ages 4-13
$50 per child
Kids have the run of the world-class gym at this Upper East Side institution on Friday nights. Gymnastics and sports coaches supervise their play, help create Ninja Warrior-style obstacle courses, and encourage more bouncing-off-the-walls fun. Pizza and drinks are served, and kosher options are available.

CAMP Date Night Pajama Party – Flatiron
110 Fifth Avenue
Saturday nights, 6-9pm
All ages, but must be potty trained
$60 per child
We’re always amazed at what we find behind CAMP’s magic door, but this date-night drop-off program might top all our finds so far (even the French macarons and s’mores sundaes!). Kids get to run wild under the watchful eye of CAMP’s counselors, who orchestrate classic games like freeze tag, read stories, sing songs, serve pizza, and let the kids wind down with a show before you pick them up. That sounds pretty magical to us.

JCC Tweens Night Out – Upper West Side
334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street
Select Saturday nights
Ages 10-13
$55 per child
If you’ve got older kids, the Marlene Meyerson JCC offers this fun alternative to finding a babysitter for date night. These every-other-month outings are centered around a unique theme, like Shabbat Under the Stars and Ticket to Tel Aviv. Kids enjoy dinner and fun, age-appropriate, on-theme activities.

Children will be able to jump around and play under the supervision of our amazing instructors at Ms. J’s! Photo courtesy of Ms. J’s

Ms. J’s Gymnastics & Dance Kids Night Out – Williamsburg, Brooklyn
43 South First Street
Select Saturday nights
Ages 3-12, but must be potty trained
$50 per child
Kids will have a blast running around this gym, learning to jump and tumble on the trampoline, and hiding underneath the parachute. The evening ends with a pizza dinner. Visit the website for available dates.

New York Kids Club Pajama Party – Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens
Various locations; visit the website for a complete list.
Select weekend evenings, times vary by location
Ages 2. 5-8
$40 per child
A New York Kids Club membership isn’t required for these drop-off fetes. Each Kids Club PJ party comes with its own theme, like space exploration or the land of the wild things. Expect themed activities to keep kids engaged, in addition to time to monkey around in the gym, snack on pizza, and more active fun. Check the website of the New York Kids Club nearest you for more info and to register.

PLAY Kids Drop-Off Movie Night – Greenpoint, Brooklyn
33 Nassau Avenue
Select Fridays, 6-8:30pm
Ages 3 and up, but must be potty trained
$25 for the first child, $15 for siblings

Recess DUMBO – Dumbo, Brooklyn
81 Washington Street
Select Fridays, 6-9pm
Ages 4-8
$45 for the first child; $35 for siblings
This popular Brooklyn playspace offers themed drop-off playdates throughout the month. Supervised open play in the ultra-cool, custom-built climber and a pizza dinner are included.

Drop off your kiddos at Sugar Hill Creamery during the day and go out for a brunch date. Photo by the author

Sugar Hill Creamery Parents’ Free Time – Harlem
184 Lenox Avenue
Select Saturdays, 10am-1pm
Ages 3-11, but must be potty trained
$44 for the first child, discounted rates for siblings
If you’ve got an early riser, or miss the days of bottomless brunch, one of our favorite mom-and-pop scoop shops has a sweet deal for you. Drop off your brood for some hands-on crafting; activities have included printmaking, cookie decorating, and more, plus a pizza lunch and—of course!—a scoop of ice cream. Take note, some of Harlem’s hottest eateries are just a few blocks north!

The Tiny Scientist Night Science Parties – Park Slope, Brooklyn
Select Saturday nights
1624 Eighth Avenue at Windsor Place
Ages 4 and up
$45 for first child, $20 for siblings
Aspiring scientists enjoy experiments, STEM-inspired games, and watch Bill Nye the Science Guy or other educational programming, plus eat pizza in their PJs. What could be better? (Other than a quiet dinner with your partner, of course.)

World Explorers Group – Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn
36 Saint Felix Street
Drop-off care offered daily
Ages 2-10
$25/hour for up to three children
Formerly Brooklyn Explorers Academy, this community org has the most robust drop-off program around. Care can be booked any day of the week in durations ranging from 1-8 hours. At $25/hour for up to three children, it’s also the most reasonably priced. Kids enjoy a variety of activities, choice time, story time, and dinner.

While the above spaces are good for a night on the town, working parents know all too well the need for reliable back-up care during working hours (hello, random DOE holidays and closures!) or help when your kid is too sick for school, and you’ve got a can’t-miss meeting. Below are some options to explore the next time you find yourself in a bind:

Beyond Care Co-op: This care co-op is available for regular gigs, but also provides rapid child care after hours. Members receive 100 percent of the wages you pay.

Nanny Poppinz: This service performs personal interviews to ensure candidates are CPR- and first-aid certified and background-checked before sending them to your house.

Pinch Sitters: This long-time agency requires its sitters to have a minimum of three years experience, at least two recent references, and submit to background and reference checks.

The Little Wing: While some co-working spaces with child care have come and gone, The Wing’s Soho location is the latest to add the service. Beyond booking up to 8 hours of care per week, you can also enroll your child in classes, or utilize the space for weekend drop-in play.

YMCA: Check with your local branch; many offer affordable daycare on a drop-in basis as an added perk.

We are looking forward to starting the New Year with you.

What is a night nanny? And can you afford to hire one?

“For me, it was peace of mind. I knew that I could sleep and feel confident my baby was being well taken care of. I was so paranoid with the first baby I would listen to him breathe all night so even when he was sleeping, I wasn’t,” says Godfrey, who hired her nanny three nights a week. “The times that the night nanny came, I would go to bed and hit the pillow and feel like a million bucks the next day which made that night without the nanny bearable.”

Beyond allowing you to get much-needed rest, night nannies can be an invaluable resource, especially for those who are brand new to parenthood. Torres says her night nanny provided one-on-one coaching, educating her on other aspects of caring for her baby. “My night nanny taught me swaddling and sleep training; my child was sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks. After the nanny left, my baby had a few little regressions that I dealt with myself, but a really good structure had already been set in place,” she says. “I needed somebody to set up a feeding schedule, and she did that. She taught me how to bathe the child. She showed me how to set up the nursery and how to respond to certain situations; like if my daughter Jane was fussy or crying.”

Kristina Godfrey says her night nanny also taught her to breastfeed and care for her newborn son Dylan.

Godfrey echoed this sentiment: “She taught me how to breastfeed in the beginning and how to care for a newborn. It is scary when you come home with your first baby and she was just so comforting.”

While Torres initially hired her nanny for 8 weeks, she extended her for two more when her husband had a few business trips pop up. Godfrey, on the other hand, hired her night nannies for longer time frames: “With my first son, we used her for 6 months. My third son had acid reflux and really was up and down all night so I used her for 9 months with him,” she says.

How to find the best night nanny for you

Torres’ ultimately found her night nanny Edmarine Baker through Lullaby Baby Nurses. Baker, who has been a nanny for a decade, says that all night nurses aren’t the same, and it’s very important to choose one who is the right fit for your family. “Do your research! Get at least 3-4 references from the nannies you’re planning to hire, references that you can call and confirm their character from,” she says.

And the interview process should go both ways: Baker ensures she’s a good fit by meeting with the parents beforehand to discuss the structure of the arrangement, expectations and generally get a feel for each other. Torres says that she interviewed a lot of night nurses before hiring Baker. “I asked a series of questions about experience, the approach that the nurse took with the child and what other duties they helped with,” she says. “Edmarine had a ton of experience, was very confident and had great references. She was also very clear about the duties she would take on; which is basically just taking care of the baby.” Torres clarifies: “I didn’t expect for somebody to be a housekeeper or cook or to do all this other stuff. I wanted somebody who would totally focus on the baby.”

While not required, some night nannies choose to become certified as certified newborn care specialists, which requires a three-day training program and working a minimum of 1,800 hours and at least one year’s experience with newborns, according to the Newborn Care Specialist Association for Certification, who also provides other training programs including a sleep training certification.

Chrouch explains that at her agency, parents play a large role in the selection process. “They decide who they would like to hire out of the choices available,” she says. “I give clients the option to interview. I don’t just pair them with night nanny candidates, I get them involved.” One advantage of utilizing an agency is that they handle the pre-screening process. Chrouch says that Lullaby Baby Nurses provides a background check and a physical (including the flu and the tdap shot) for every night nanny, in addition to ensuring that all of their nannies are infant and child CPR certified.

Choosing to go through an agency may add an additional upfront expense, as many agencies charge a “finder’s fee,” that can range from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars. For some couples, word of mouth may help cut down on these costs. “I did my research by asking friends that had already had babies, and for my first son, I called a nanny service where I ended up hiring one from,” says Godfrey. “Since I became close to the first one, she introduced me to her daughter who became my second one. By the time my third child was born, those two ladies had moved on to different professions. However, a friend of mine had someone that she was just finishing up with so I used her and she was great.”

Are night nannies just for wealthy families?

You may be thinking, “This sounds great — if you can afford it.” But contrary to what you may be thinking the service isn’t only an option for wealthy families. While it may be a luxury for some families, to others it’s a necessity — whether it’s because they have no family around to help or one or both of the parents travel frequently for work or have stressful jobs.

Although out of reach for many families, planning and budgeting in the months leading up to your newborns arrival can allow some parents to utilize the resource. “My husband and I both work and it was something that we had talked about; due to his work schedule, we knew that we needed that extra support,” says Torres. “So we just started saving and budgeting for it.”

While prices differ from nanny to nanny (or agency, depending), the average cost per night — say 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. — is approximately $200-250, according to Chrouch. Most night nannies work for about 10-12 hours each night. Some offer 24-hour services, too.

While the idea of paying a nanny to tend to your baby overnight may be foreign to some, paying for child care certainly is not. And parents are no strangers to shelling out cash for child care. A 2017 Cost of Care Survey conducted by Care.com found that 32 percent of families spend 20 percent or more of their annual household income on child care, and almost 50 perfect are spending ten percent of their income. And despite the high child care costs, the majority of families (81 percent) say it’s money well spent and that their current child care plan is worth the money.

The survey also found that the majority of parents (72%) plan for the cost of childcare before the child is born.

For those who have can’t afford a full-time nanny, depending on the agency, special arrangements can often be made to accommodate tighter budgets, such as shortened time frames or alternating nights.

“We make arrangements for certain clients as the reality is that not all have the same budget. We negotiate and it does not affect the quality of the services,” says Chrouch. “It’s almost like shopping. Some stores will give you a deal and some won’t. Most of my clients are young and some are not quite established yet, so we see the need to make adjustments and offer part-time services.”

Godfrey took advantage of part-time services: “It is definitely expensive. We opted to do it for three nights a week so that I would only have every other night to worry about,” she says. “Our motto was: literally worth every penny and if you have to skip vacations for a few years, you will not regret hiring one.”

The emotional concerns: ‘Will people think I’m lazy?’ and ‘Will I still bond with my baby?’

There are always friends, family members and co-workers offering up their two cents — especially when it comes to how we parent. Thankfully, those who have enlisted the services of a night nanny say they didn’t feel judged for choosing to have some extra help. Plus, the service is gaining momentum, not only in the U.S, but in Europe too. More and more new parents are realizing that they need extra help — and that there’s simply nothing wrong with that.

“I think in this day it is pretty common for people to have night nannies/nurses,” Torres says. “A lot of my friends have had one; some didn’t, but I didn’t get any negative feedback or judgment. I just got some people who said, ‘Oh, I wish I had one’.”

“I did feel a little guilt but not enough to deter me,” says Godfrey. “I mostly was concerned what others were going to think of me but I got over that pretty quick. I think I might have gotten some judgment but my mom was so great and was all for it so that helped. My husband doesn’t do well with lack of sleep and I knew he would be no help at night so I think that also helped me not feel bad about it. And that was definitely his reason for encouraging me to hire one.”

Concerning her feelings about letting someone else take care of her newborn, Torres says, “I did not experience any separation anxiety because I was up multiple times a night feeding my baby. Edmarine would just put her back to sleep so I could get more sleep.”

Even though a lot of time has passed, Torres says she’s still in contact with Baker: “We keep in touch; she gave me a lot of advice through phone/text the month after she left. As it is, we still have a strong bond and I am very grateful that I found her.”

Godfrey shared a similar sentiment, saying she, too, keeps in touch with her night nannies to this day. “In fact, they became a part of the family,” she says.

Torres says she has no regrets about hiring a night nanny — to the contrary, she says the experience was invaluable. “Her help was really valuable because she is just so experienced, as well as kind and compassionate,” she says. “The entire experience was good for me and it built my confidence in taking care of my daughter.”

Daycare & Baby Sleep | Taking Cara Babies

Parents, whether working inside or outside of the home, all have challenges with baby sleep. However, some unique questions and situations come up specifically for those who have babies at daycare. I’d love to talk through a few common questions with you.

Can we still have a great little sleeper if our baby needs to be at daycare?#

YES! We have so many daycare babies with parents on the Taking Cara Babies team and in our community who have successful nights even with irregular nap schedules at daycare.

With all of my classes, it is just fine to focus on nights at home. When babies are older than 5 months, some families do choose to do nap training for their babies who attend daycare. I talk all about this in my class on Conquering Naps.

Why won’t daycare use swaddles, white noise, a pitch dark room, etc?#

Let’s consider why those regulations or limitations might exist at daycare. In a daycare environment, safety is the top priority, and daycare teachers have to consider not just the safety of one child but of several babies at different stages with different physical and developmental needs.

Infant daycare teachers are trained to watch the rise and fall that indicates breathing, to listen for certain indicators that might indicate distress, and to regularly check on sleeping babies. This requires that babies are never in a completely dark environment and, in many cases, without sound machines that can be so soothing to babies.

For swaddling to be safe, we need to know the physical skills of each individual baby. This may not be possible in a daycare environment, and many babies begin their time in daycare around the same age we typically see those signs of rolling. To keep all babies as safe as possible, a universal no-swaddling policy makes sense.

How can I help my baby sleep at daycare?#

This is something daycares must address every day with every baby in the infant room. Out of necessity, daycare teachers find ways to help babies sleep the best they can without the use of these tools. It may not always look the same as sleep at home, but that’s okay. Teachers in the infant and toddler rooms are often AMAZING at helping with sleep, and your baby may just shock you with his ability to adapt.

Try my daycare printable as an easy way to communicate your baby’s daily needs and preferences with your baby’s teachers. (Get the digital version of the daycare download here.)

If your baby has consistent nap struggles at daycare, here are a few ideas that you can discuss with your child’s teacher:

  • For younger babies with a still-strong Moro reflex, a swaddle transition like Swaddle Sleeves Sack (CARA10 saves you 10%) or Merlin’s Magic Sleep Suit may be worth considering.

  • Offer to bring a sleep sack from home.

  • For babies who are easily awoken by other noises in the classroom, ask your baby’s teacher about bringing a portable sound machine to keep by your little one’s crib.

  • Ask if it’s possible for your baby’s crib to be as far away from any commotion as possible.

  • Be patient. It can take time for babies to adjust to napping in a new environment.

Please note: For some daycares, these simply aren’t options because of legal regulations, daycare policies, or individual baby considerations.

How can we see sleep progress if daycare doesn’t follow the Taking Cara Babies strategies or plan we use at home? Won’t this destroy our efforts to teach our baby how to sleep?#

To put it simply: this won’t likely cause any problems.

Babies can usually tell the difference between sleeping at daycare vs. sleeping at home. Try not to stress about what happens during the day at daycare, and continue to use the same tools and techniques you’ve learned from my classes when you have your little one with you at night. That sleep progress will come.

Parents who have a great little sleeper after taking the ABCs of Sleep often fear the strategies that daycare uses for naps will destroy the success they saw with sleep training. Let me assure you: this is rarely a concern.

If sleep is rough, please know my class The 5-24 Month Collection: Everything You Need for Great Sleep has been successful with so many daycare families (including several on the Taking Cara Babies team). Sometimes, daycare families have to be flexible with bedtime, but daycare naps seldom prevent great nights.

How do I handle the car ride home? Should I try to keep my baby awake?#

If you can easily keep your baby awake in the car, do it! If your baby is tired when you arrive at home, aim for an early bedtime instead of offering a catnap. Night sleep is more restorative than day sleep, so that early bedtime would be my first recommendation.

If your baby is exhausted after daycare and your drive is longer than a few minutes, keeping your baby awake may be a virtual impossibility. Please hear me: A catnap on the drive home is unlikely to keep you from great nights. Simply make sure to wake your baby when you arrive at home and get some quality awake time between that catnap and bedtime. In fact, this short nap can make life easier by helping an overtired baby get to bedtime without a complete meltdown.

Sometimes, daycare sleep CAN impact nights. We find these are the most common reasons:#

Reason #1 – Baby is in a constant pattern of significant sleep debt from daycare.#

Daycare sleepers typically become the best nappers … eventually. But at first, some babies get hours less daytime sleep than we would want when they’re at daycare. An overtired baby may sleep poorly at night, which can result in nap struggles again the next day. This cycle can feel so defeating for both parents and daycare teachers.

Here are two ways to help:

  • Early bedtime: Because night sleep is more restorative than day sleep, an early bedtime is the best way to help an overtired baby. I know it can be tempting to offer a catnap when you get home from daycare, but this will push bedtime later. Instead, forgo the catnap and offer a bedtime as early as 6pm. (For babies 5 months and younger, we may need to offer both the catnap and the early bedtime.)

  • Share with your daycare teacher about strategies that help your baby to nap well at home (your nap time routine, wake windows, environment, etc.). Be assured: your teacher wants your baby to get good naps too!

Reason #2 – Baby is sleeping too much at daycare.#

A baby who sleeps too much during the day won’t sleep well at night. Most of his sleep needs have already been met, and he will be hungry for the calories he missed during the day. This is what we call reverse cycling.

The best way to deal with this? Talk to your daycare teacher! Discuss your concerns about reverse cycling, calorie needs, and the need for stimulating awake times during the day. Share the feeding and wake window routines that seem to work best with your baby at home. You can use my daycare printable to help! (Get the digital version of the daycare download here.) In some cases, a note from your doctor with a similar message can be helpful as well.

Reason #3 – Baby was transitioned to one nap too early.#

Transitioning to one nap before a baby is ready can cause real sleep struggles. Now, daycares do a really great job of helping this at school with all of the activity that happens during awake times. Many babies who wouldn’t be ready at home for a one-nap schedule actually do just fine at daycare. However, this can still cause some struggles at night.

If your little one is struggling during this transition, here are ways we can help:

  • Early bedtime: This is always my first suggestion because it typically makes the biggest difference. Offer a bedtime as early as 6pm. I know this doesn’t feel ideal for many families, but often the choice is to offer that early bedtime or deal with rough nights and early morning wakings.

  • Ask about options at school for a cot or resting area for your little one to allow for just a tiny catnap in the morning. For babies not quite ready for the 2 to 1 transition, a midmorning catnap can make a huge difference in preventing an overtired little one.

Big things to keep in mind:#

1) The RIGHT daycare is so important.#

Knowing that you can trust the providers and facility where you leave your child during the day is everything. You can use my Safe Sleep Checklist to ask questions or review daycare policies.

2) Babies can thrive at daycare.#

Babies can often adapt to different situations better than we ever expect. Those who are at daycare learn to sleep out of swaddles, nap in muted light, and stay on cots for naptime. They can be securely attached to their parents, and at the same time learn to trust other caring adults. Daycare can be a place where babies sleep well and truly thrive.

3) Daycare teachers are part of your team.#

Teachers in the baby and toddler rooms choose to surround themselves with little children and are so gifted in loving babies well. When parents view daycare caregivers as a trusted part of their baby support team, communication is usually productive and encouraging to everyone involved.

4) Daytime sleep really is different than nighttime sleep.#

Babies have all sorts of different sleep experiences at daycare; some sleeping very well and some struggling during the day. Nighttime sleep can still be successful no matter what the days look like if you have a plan you can trust and a willingness to be flexible with parts you can control.

5) There’s no reason to stop what’s working at home.#

Babies are smart and can tell the difference between home and daycare. If swaddling, white noise, dark room, etc. are helping your baby girl at home, continue to use them. If your baby transitioned to one nap early at daycare, he can still take two naps on the weekends. There’s no reason to change what’s working for you at home.

As a daycare parent, you will have to celebrate the successes you do have, and let go of what you can’t control. You can have a hugely positive daycare experience even if daycare sleep isn’t exactly what you would have hoped for. You can still have a great little night sleeper even if your baby goes to daycare. It probably won’t be perfect, BUT parents who stay at home don’t get perfection either.

Therefore, I dropped out of the university and started looking for a job. As a real student, I managed to work as a courier and a waiter, and then got a job at a pine nut factory. In the article I will tell you how everything was arranged at the plant, how I got there and what kind of work I did there.

This is me in the locker room on the first night shift at the plant

Why I left the university

I am from Novosibirsk. Immediately after the 11th grade in 2019, I entered Tomsk State University at the Faculty of Journalism. My parents paid 150,000 R per year for the education. In 2022, the cost increased to 160,000 R. In Tomsk, I lived in a student hostel – a room there cost 3,500 R a year.

At first, I was interested in studying and immersing myself in student life. For example, I liked that for any holidays we shot teasers based on classic films and talked a lot with the whole faculty. But in March 2020, we were informed that due to the coronavirus, our faculty was switching to a distance learning format. Because of this, I had to return to Novosibirsk.

/novosib/

Life in Novosibirsk

I did not like distance learning. Firstly, I missed live communication with classmates and teachers.

Secondly, the amount of information and the quality of distance learning have noticeably deteriorated, while the requirements for exams and the cost of education have remained the same. For example, in some subjects, we were simply given notes and presentations and offered to retell their content during exams.

And, thirdly, the educational process itself in our university was poorly organized. For example, after the holidays, the schedule did not immediately appear, and some teachers were very late or did not come to class at all.

In addition, already in the middle of my first year, I began to realize that journalism was not my thing. Somewhere in the future, I was tempted by theatrical stages, long rehearsals in the actors’ closets, the Moscow VGIK and the luxurious RGISI. And I saw examples of my friends from the faculty who had already expelled and entered Moscow and St. Petersburg to become cameramen, film and sound engineers. But I continued to study further: my parents were against my expulsion, and I didn’t have a plan in case I couldn’t enter another university.

In the fall of 2020, I returned to Tomsk and completely stopped attending couples, except for public speaking classes. Instead, I talked a lot with classmates and spent time in the library – I read fiction there. So I prepared to enter the theater university. I almost missed the winter session at my university, and I didn’t prepare for the summer session at all – in May 2021 I was already ready to stop studying: there was nothing useful and interesting left for me.

At the end of July 2021, I came to the dean’s office to write an application for deduction. But I was advised to wait until the order came to deduct for non-payment: then I would not have to pay 37,500 R for the last quarter. When the order came, they gave me a bypass sheet, in which I was to be stamped in the dormitory, in the military registration office, in the trade union and in the dean’s office.

How to get a tax deduction for tuition in different situations

When I collected my documents, I was not particularly detained at the university, and my parents had already come to terms with my decision. Although my mother was offended that I would not receive a diploma, and the money was wasted. But I convinced her that I had gained a lot in two years. For example, good friends and confidence in what I want to devote my life to.

I took my things from the dormitory on July 28, 2021

I planned to pass the entrance exams to theater universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the summer. I didn’t think what to do if they didn’t accept me, but there were two options – to recover at a Tomsk university or take a break for a year in order to better prepare and reapply.

I submitted documents only to two universities – VGIK and RGISI. And that was my first mistake – I had to knock on all the doors.

The second mistake was that I did not prepare well: I did not study the masters and the structure of the acting entrance exams. In June, I came to the qualifying stage at VGIK and recited Boris Ryzhy, Vladimir Nabokov and Ivan Krylov. But I performed poorly – I read the entire program, as it seemed to me, insincerely and all the time I thought that I did not believe myself. The admissions committee probably thought the same, because I was quickly stopped and didn’t ask any questions.

/education-prons-cons/

Pros and cons: is it necessary to get a higher education

And in July I filmed my program for a video visiting card at RGISI. When I was already uploading tortured videos with the same works as in VGIK, I read that it was necessary to shoot in black and white and with other plans. In general, I mixed everything up, my video was not accepted, and in the end I didn’t go anywhere.

How I was looking for a job

After being expelled, I returned to Novosibirsk and got a job as a courier at Samokat, a Russian express delivery service for groceries and household goods. I worked at Samokat throughout July 2021. I took shifts of 8, 12 and 16 hours and got 195 R per hour and 3900-11 570 R per week, depending on the number of hours worked.

I liked working there, because on a summer evening, when it was already cool, I could safely deliver my order, explore my hometown with new, modern districts, listen to music and hope that at the end of the day there will be a good tip. But it was physically difficult: I fell off my bike many times, got into accidents several times, and over time, the requirements for couriers became stricter.

“Six hours of walking a day is my limit”: how much does a Yandex Food courier earn? I returned there to prepare for admission to an acting university next year.

I deliver something in a prestigious district of Novosibirsk – in the Flotilla residential complex. And in this house in Tomsk I rented an apartment

In the middle of August, at the invitation of a friend, I worked as a counselor in a Tomsk camp for 10 days. I received 10,000 R for this and was able to pay for the apartment in September. My parents also helped me with money, for which, of course, many thanks to them.

In October, I got a job as a waiter at Make Love Pizza, the most famous pizzeria in Tomsk. To get there, I first sent a questionnaire, but no one answered me. So I wrote to my friend who worked there at SMM and asked if they were looking for waiters. After that, I was invited for an interview and offered to work in 2/2 shifts of 8 or 12 hours at a rate of 85 R per hour.

/waiter/

How much does a waiter earn

After I learned the menu, they promised me to increase the rate to 100-110 R per hour, but I quit after 2 weeks. My salary did not cover my apartment rent and living expenses, and the work itself did not give the unique experience that I would like to have – it was too monotonous, albeit in an interesting local place. During these 2 weeks I earned 5600 R.

I’m wearing a Make Love Pizza employee uniform — overalls and a cap

Next, I wanted to try myself as an SMM specialist. In my school years, I had experience of such work, plus I liked creating content and I wanted to work remotely. I created a resume on Headhunter and began to apply for vacancies of a copywriter, content manager, support assistant in various companies.

I was looking for a job either with a salary that would at least cover the payment of an apartment and my minimum needs, that is, 20,000-25,000 RUR, or with a theater activity close to me.

And then I saw an announcement on the bus: “Pine nut factory workers needed.” I remember that I liked the high-quality layout of the ad, the salary from 25,000 R and the opportunity to get a job without experience. I found the plant’s contacts at Headhunter and arranged an interview.

How I got to the factory

I arrived for the interview on November 9, 2021 at 08:00. When I approached the factory building, I noticed that the greeting was written not only in Russian, but also in Chinese – for big customers from a neighboring country. I also liked that everything inside the main building at the entrance was very tidy – a large mirror, a comfortable wardrobe, a stand with photos of the best employees and customer reviews. Based on these details, I decided that this is a reliable company that not only produces good products, but also offers comfortable working conditions.

After 10 minutes, I was called into the HR office and given a standard questionnaire to fill out. It had to indicate the last three jobs, education, my strongest qualities and the number of a former employer who can give me a description.

After that, the interview began. I was asked which of my previous jobs was the hardest, whether I was ready for heavy physical exertion and when I could start. For some reason, it was important that I studied at the university for some time. I said that I was ready to start right away, I was comfortable with a flexible work schedule and I was not against physical activity.

/guide/interview/

How to pass the interview

As a result of the interview, I was offered to become a furnace operator. This meant that I would serve a large metal machine in which pine nuts are dried. The work schedule that I was offered is 2/2 shifts with a twelve-hour working day. Salary – 30,000 R.

I was completely satisfied with the working conditions, and I was even ready to start working on the same day. Therefore, immediately after the interview, I was taken to the head of security to check on the base if I had a criminal record.

After this check, I went for a brief briefing – I was given safety instructions when working with electrical equipment. It was necessary to study it, and then answer 4 questions in writing. I successfully dealt with this.

After the briefing, I was handed over to the shift supervisor. Several times he clarified whether I worked with heavy objects and what salary was given to me in the personnel department. I think he was asking this to give me as much work as would fit the announced amount.

/be-safe-bro/

Employer and safety regulations

The shift supervisor brought me to my future colleague, who had been working at this plant for a year. He explained to me how to work with the stove. It turned out that on the day of the interview, I immediately went to the 7-hour work shift.

But I was given a card for the turnstile at the entrance only after 3 days. The colleague who taught me asked the shift supervisor to do it right away, but he replied: “Let it go for a few more days, there have already been such.” And I signed the employment contract only after 3 weeks, because I didn’t immediately see my last name in the list of those who need to go to the personnel department.

How everything was arranged at the plant

The plant is located 15 km from Tomsk in a neighboring village and operates continuously – 24 hours a day. This is a private enterprise.

Previously, it was a small factory for the collection and processing of cedar, and now it is one of the most active exporters in Siberia, which delivers products all over the world, with modern equipment from Germany.

This is what the plant looks like from the outside. The building on the left is a warehouse with a recently brought walnut. And on the right is the main building where I worked. Source: admin.tomsk.ru From the same truck, I unloaded 30-kilogram bags of nuts to the warehouse. Source: ecofactory.ru

Factory workers are engaged in the processing of pine nuts – they dry, calibrate, clean, package. In confectionery shops, sweets are made from nuts, such as jam, marmalade, chocolate, roasted cranberries.

I worked on cracking nuts, shelling, washing and – the longest – daily drying of nuts.

In production, 13 stages of processing of pine nuts are used. Each stage has its own specific equipment and workers who serve it. Source: ecofactory. ru

The plant has 15 workshops, which are located in several buildings with a total area of 4200 m². I worked in a drying shop – the workers called it “drying”. He was part of the processing shop.

The plant also had a dining room with a microwave, stove, refrigerator and six tables. Workers could either bring food for themselves from home or cook something right there. One night I saw one of the workers cooking pilaf there in a frying pan.

There were both men and women among the factory workers. Only women were accepted for the position of candy maker in the confectionery shop – they were paid about 30,000 rubles for work there. The head confectioner was a man. He made chocolate and sent it to candy shops.

“We have a completely uncreative job”: how much does a confectioner earn in a factory

Usually only women worked in the packing department, because it is a sedentary monotonous job without heavy physical exertion. They packed ready-made confectionery products or simply processed pine nuts in branded bags and stuck labels.

This photo shows packaged nuts being prepared for delivery. Source: admin.tomsk.ru And here they pack pine nut confectionery. Source: admin.tomsk.ru

When I worked at the factory, there were about 130 employees. In addition to the furnace operators, there were other workers with a 5/2 schedule from 08:00 to 17:00, but with piecework pay, which depended on the amount of work they performed. For example, they sorted nuts by hand.

Employees with more seniority earned more: they had a coefficient for years of service. For example, my senior colleague in the shop received 56,000 R for the same amount of work as me, because he had already worked for 3 years and often took extra shifts.

A corporate bus took employees to the plant. He stopped at 7:15 not far from the street where I rented an apartment. I used it to get to work. At the same time, the bus did not leave the plant early in the morning. Therefore, all employees who finished their night shift in the morning were called and paid for a taxi to the city.

Your rights at work

The plant is a secure facility, entrance and exit only with passes. Also, there were CCTV cameras in each room, and at the exit, the guard always looked into the bags of each employee to check if they had taken out anything that did not belong to them.

What I did at the plant

Under an employment contract, I had specific tasks at the plant. For example:

  1. Give samples of pine nuts to laboratory assistants in the morning.
  2. Record the time of setting metal boxes to dry.
  3. Pour pine nuts into plastic boxes.
  4. Remove the nuts from the dryer and run them through a special machine to separate the film that they have under the shell.
  5. Sometimes run nuts through a special washer at night.
  6. Help the nut washer unload the clean nuts from the Diamonds, these are large drying machines.
  7. Clean up the workplace and record losses.

In reality, while I was working at the plant, I actually did all these tasks, except for recording losses and working with the washing machine. But for the first two weeks – from November 8 to 23 – my only task was to help everyone and everywhere: unload the truck, help in the kernel drying and cedar splitting workshop. At this time, I worked according to schedule 2/2 from 08:00 to 20:00. Also, twice during this time I went to night shifts – from 20:00 to 08:00.

I liked that I got new tasks all the time and did not have time to get tired of the routine. On the other hand, sometimes my work was quite hard – for example, when I had to unload trucks with several tons of nuts, carry and stack 30-kilogram bags.

Since November 23, I had my own workshop, where I had to dry containers with nuts weighing 330 kg. This is daily drying. Iron boxes with already washed and peeled nuts were brought to my workshop, and I inserted them into a special device for drying. This device was a large metal box with 6 or 8 holes on the side and top through which hot air flowed.

To better understand what happens to nuts at the factory, I’ll show you how they look. Initially, the pine nut is collected in the shell, in which it is dried for the first time – usually within 20 minutes. Then the shell is split and removed, and the nuts are washed. Then the nuts are dried again, but for 24 hours. After this drying, the nuts are removed from the film that they have under the shell and calibrated – one part of the nuts is sent to the confectionery shop, and the other to the packaging shop. This is a photo from the first shift – then I ended up on a 20-minute drying of nuts that had not yet been peeled: I poured 180 kg of nuts from these bags into the oven, and after 20 minutes I took them out of there and packed them in bags again Then I switched to daily drying of nuts. This is how the metal boxes of 330 kg looked, which I sent to dry

Along with the tasks, my schedule has also changed: now I have shifts from the previous employee who just quit – two days later from 08:00 to 08:00. Night shifts were paid at a different rate – plus 500 R per night.

Since it was in this schedule that I worked until the very dismissal, then I will tell you what my typical 24-hour shift looked like.

What my typical 24-hour shift looked like

I woke up at 06:30, had breakfast at home or went to the grocery store for food and energy drinks for the day. At 07:15, a corporate bus was waiting for us, and in 45 minutes, while it was taking us to the plant, I managed to take a short nap.

At 08:00, all employees of the factory passed through the turnstile and left to change clothes – they had to put on medical masks, disposable caps and special uniforms.

This is what my work suit looked like

My work started at 08:10. I came to my workshop and started preparing samples of nuts from containers that had just dried. Samples are 50 g of nuts in a plastic cup. I collected them and put them on those iron 330-kilogram boxes from where I got them. From there they were taken by laboratory assistants. After lunch, they told me if the nuts had dried enough and if I could get the boxes with them out of the dryer.

Until 12:00 my work could be different. For example, I could run nuts through a special film separation machine – I loaded all the nuts into this machine, started it, and then weighed the result and recorded the batch, weight and box number in a separate document.

/guide/job-description/

How to draw up a job description

Approximately such a machine at our plant peeled pine nuts from the film. Nuts are washed in such a machine. I was told that I would have to wash nuts, but I never had to do it. Source: oskol-agro.ru

From 12:00 to 12:30 we had lunch. After that, the laboratory assistant told me which containers I could remove from the dryer. I cleaned them, unloaded them – poured 330 kg of nuts out of them into large plastic containers, wrote down the weight, because during drying it decreases by 20-30 kg, and put it in the parking lot.

At the same time, I could unload the dried kernels from the “Rhombs” – these are also drying machines, but much larger. I usually spent several hours on this. After that, I loaded a new batch of washed nuts into Rhombs.

When I was done with all this work, I could rest – sit in the corner and, for example, read a book. But since there were cameras everywhere in the factory, I was only allowed to rest in the “blind spots”.

/a-gde-vetka/

“I sat down at the table and immediately felt a heavy look”: 7 stories about unbearable working conditions

From 17:00 to 17:30 we had a second lunch. And after it, I continued to do all the work described above, if the nuts had dried by this time. If not, then I cleaned or helped in the neighboring workshop. A lot of garbage remains from the pine nuts, which I constantly cleaned up, although according to the rules, this can only be done at the end of the shift.

There was a shift change at 20:00. At this time, I had half an hour to rest, but in fact, if there was a bed in the workshop, I could calmly go to bed until 8 in the morning: the nuts were dried without my participation, and only occasionally they had to be taken out and loaded with a new batch.

Then until 08:00 I either did nothing or helped a colleague from another workshop – for example, I packed calibrated nuts in bags. At our plant, nuts could be of two “calibers” – yellow or blue. Yellow walnut is of high quality, blue is of lower quality. I scattered the calibrated nuts into 30 kg bags and signed “Jel” or “Sin” on them.

At this time, I could also go out to eat or go outside to get some air. Once I even fell asleep for several hours on soft bags of walnut husks, although, of course, it was impossible to do so.

By 05:00-06:00 I was putting things in order in my shop and waiting for the shift to end. At 08:00 I left the factory. A colleague could give me a ride home in his car, or I would leave by taxi.

Sometimes in my spare time I drew faces on bags of walnut husks

Why I quit my job

I left the factory on December 3, 2021 after 20 days and just over 150 hours of work. During this time, I earned 32,570 R. I was paid for all my working hours at a rate of 200 R per hour and another 2,500 R was paid extra for 5 night shifts.

What I disliked most about working at the plant was the routine — I performed all the actions on the machine. And sometimes the workflow even had to be imitated, as in the video where the worker is tightening the already tightened nut on the camera. For example, often during night shifts I really had nothing to do and just had to sweep the trash from side to side.

It was also physically hard work, and I lacked some intellectual activity. Communication with colleagues was also not pleasing and was reduced to a discussion of money, the work itself or gossip.

When, on the penultimate shift on November 29, I informed the shift supervisor that I was quitting, he was not surprised, but asked to work another day. On the last shift, which I joined on December 1, I was given a bypass sheet, in which the head of the shop, the chief mechanic, the head of security and production managers put their signatures. On the same day, I took this sheet to the accounting department and received my salary in cash.

What I am doing now

After I quit my job, a friend unexpectedly called me and offered to come to Germany instead of him for several months. He lived there with a host family under the Au Pair program, an international cultural exchange program in which participants live in a family, look after children and at the same time study the language and local culture. The program is designed for a year.

My friend was just about to expire and had to leave. When he informed his guest family about this, they asked him to find someone to replace him, and he turned to me. On the phone, he explained that I would need to monitor the children when their parents were working, take them to kindergarten, and pick them up from extracurricular activities. I agreed. The money that I earned at the plant was just enough to pay for the last month of renting an apartment, a visa and plane tickets to Germany.

/work_exchange/

How to volunteer in Europe

Now I live in the same guest family in Germany in the small town of Bad Camberg near Frankfurt am Main, I study German and study the culture of the country. The guest family pays taxes and insurance for me. They also buy groceries. And I get 280 €⁣ (24,555 R) per month for my work as taschengeld, that is, pocket money.

Now I want to see the world, and then return to Russia and still enter the theater institute as a film director or actor.

This is a medieval castle in the village next to Bad Camberg And this is me with the youngest child of my guest family near kindergarten

This is a medieval castle in the village next to Bad Camberg And this is me with the youngest child of my guest family near the kindergarten

What conclusions did I draw from this story

  1. Entering a university right after school is a lottery. Because at this age it is difficult to understand what you really want to do in the future. It took me a while to realize that journalism is not for me.
  2. On the other hand, anything can be a good experience when there is a specific goal and friends who can help. Working at the factory gave me time to think about the future.
  3. Factory work is physical and stressful. But she helped me become more resilient and organized. Plus, I liked clear and understandable tasks and a stable salary without delays.
  4. I think that how high-quality and well-known the products of the plant depend on the working conditions that are offered there and the attitude towards employees. So, if you also want to work at the factory, I recommend that you carefully study what products are made there.
  5. Working in production is not an easy job, but it can still be a great part-time job.

“Winter from the window of the house” – Compositions 5,6,7 class

Every morning I open the curtains and look out the window. I’m most interested in the weather, what people are wearing. I pay attention to nature and beautiful landscapes of the surrounding world. Today I decided to take a closer look at everything …

“View from my window in winter” – essay, grade 6

Option 1

Winter always transforms the city, makes it clean, smart and a little mysterious. My window overlooks the usual urban development: a wide street with a continuous stream of cars, gray panel houses, shops, fussy passers-by. Absolutely nothing remarkable or unusual. But I really like to look at the landscape when it snows. White flakes falling from the sky are like a gift from nature itself, bringing a little magic to everyday life at any time of the day.

Lawns are covered with a white carpet, fluffy hats appear near cars, snow falls on tree branches with a unique pattern, hides under the white cover of the path. It is interesting to watch people who are constantly faced with winter surprises: here is the driver clearing the roof of the car from a thick layer of snow, but two guys make their way through the marked path, raising their legs high. There is something solemn in all this, as if fresh snow is a kind of power of renewal, a source of new emotions and impressions.

Snowfall is especially beautiful in the evening, when the warm light of orange city lights makes the landscape ghostly and unreal. Dancing snowflakes in the air, some unique sparkling glow emanating from the roads wrapped in white blankets, night lights and a glow over the city – everything is combined in a winter ensemble, attracts the eye, makes you admire.

An amusing gift of nature is the snowfall in the early morning. When people went to bed, outside the window was a gray and dull landscape. And as soon as we opened our eyes, the room was filled with the very bright light that enters our homes only when reflected from a fresh snow cover. I would like to run to the window and enthusiastically greet the winter, which declared itself in full voice and transformed the whole landscape.

Everything nasty and unsightly is hidden, the boredom of everyday life fades into the background, some kind of festivity and elegance appear, and along with them – an inexplicable joy. I want to get dressed as soon as possible and run out into the street to enjoy the fresh snow to my heart’s content. Wallowing in snowdrifts, treading the first paths, playing snowballs…

Winter does not always please us with such a beautiful landscape. Someone will say that this is a disadvantage, and the winters have become different now, dull and gloomy. But if it snowed every day, it would no longer have so much magic and romance. Therefore, it is worth thanking and appreciating nature for every day, and every landscape seen outside the window.

Option 2

How impatiently we wait for the first snow, how excited we are at the sight of giant falling snow flakes in the window. And how pleasant it is to wake up in the morning and suddenly find that the earth, which had been black the day before, is now immaculately white. And now the first snow is already behind, the eyes are accustomed to the picture outside the window and no longer notice all the charm of winter. And the charm of winter is in the soothing sleepy silence.

In winter, the whole yard seems to freeze. Benches and children’s swings froze, powdered with snow. The motionless trunks of bare trees stick out from under the snowdrifts, stretching their twisted branches high into the sky. The branches of trees sometimes stir from the wind or from the jerk of a flying bird and calm down again. The gray trunks of the trees look as if someone has sprinkled them with powdered sugar.

A gray, colorless sky hung like an opaque sheet overhead. Dark asphalt and trodden paths turn black against the background of snow-covered ground. The electric poles seemed to have their white caps on. Peace and quiet are only occasionally broken by frisky sparrows on the roofs of houses, flying from bush to tree, from tree to roof.

Cars parked long ago are covered with a white blanket of snowdrifts. They are lonely waiting when, finally, their owners will come to dig out their iron friends. Their motors will purr and shake off this sleepy stupor. People, wrapped in warm clothes, hurry about their business, not noticing the winter landscape around them, but only hide their cold noses in warm scarves and collars. It’s not cold except for rosy-cheeked children who merrily slide down the constructed hill, sink knee-deep in snow and whirlwind past hurrying adults.

Nature rests, gathers strength under the snow-white cover of snow, so that later it will come to life in spring and sparkle with bright colors. In the meantime, it remains to admire the magical winter landscape through the window.

Option 3

In winter, my window offers a beautiful view. You admire the yard, hidden under snowdrifts, the neighbor’s dog Badi, somersaulting in the snow.

Gray high-rise buildings, which seemed dull in autumn, are transformed against the backdrop of snow-covered splendor around.

Trees and bushes seemed to fall asleep, wrapped in snow-white fur coats. Only sometimes a breeze comes up and tries to wake them up. And such a snow commotion rises. On a visit to the snow-covered visor of the entrance, over which I live, pigeons often visit to feast on something edible.

Winter colors of nature are not as bright and colorful as summer ones, but it is in winter that nature has a special fabulous atmosphere.

Option 4

Winter is a very beautiful season. After all, it is in winter that you can sit at home on the windowsill and watch the stunning landscape! Absolutely everything is covered with loose, white snow, and only on the roadway from gusts of wind is the very middle of the road visible. White fluffs are falling from the sky, swirling and drawing simple patterns on the city streets. They cover the branches of trees with a bright white blanket and lie on the ground with an endless carpet. Crystal icicles hang from the roofs of houses. Many children of different ages walk in the yard and, together with their parents, make huge, bright, colorful snowmen and build ice labyrinths, climb snowdrifts and those who are older play “king of the mountains”.

When there is no wind in the yard, children go skating with adults. We also put up a Christmas tree in our yard every year. Literally every person living in our house puts his toy on this Christmas tree, on which the apartment number is written and everyone makes a wish. You can also see a huge hill from the window, where many parents with their children come every day. The younger kids have sleds, and the older ones have ice rinks and snow scooters.

Every day I see my neighbors walking with their pets. I am very lucky to have a Husky dog in my neighbors, she has such blue eyes that it is impossible to stop admiring them! When they go out for a walk, I can’t take my eyes off them. After all, for this dog – this is the best time of the year. Even looking out the window you can feel how happy she is with the snow.

In anticipation of the new year, people glue the most beautiful applications and snowflakes on the windows. For many, garlands hang beautifully on the window, and when it gets dark outside, these decorations just illuminate their windows like in a fairy tale. From my window you can see mountain ash, on which bullfinches fly all winter. They feed on the fruits of this tree, and by the end of winter, the fruits run out, heat comes and they fly away.

This is interesting: Nature is amazing and irresistible. In the routine of gray everyday life and the pursuit of financial gain, we sometimes simply lose sight of all the charm and versatility of the world around us. .

Composition “The view from my window in winter” – Grade 5

Option 1

The view from the window varies greatly depending on the season. Today I will tell you what is visible from my window.

If you look to the very bottom, then where there used to be green bushes, only branches remain. Sparrows love to sit on them. But this is not the safest place, because sometimes they are chased by local cats.

Next is the sidewalk. In winter, after a thaw, it sometimes turns into an icy path and the janitors have to pour sand on it so that people can walk comfortably.

After the pavement there is a strip of trees. If in summer they hide neighboring houses, then in winter they become almost transparent. Next are the neighboring houses across the road. These are old five-story houses.

But what I like most in winter is when the sun comes into the room during the day. Its rays illuminate the walls of the table and bed. And immediately it becomes more joyful in the soul, and you feel more comfortable.

When evening falls and the lights are turned on, the snow on the ground begins to sparkle. Against the backdrop of dark houses and the sky, it looks very beautiful. And even if you can’t see mountains or the sea through my window, I like to look out my window.

Option 2

Nights come early in winter. The sky is dark and seems to hang too low, and in the middle, round and bright, the moon shines. Rare stars twinkle through the veil of clouds. As if the sky is also freezing and does not want to peek out from under the blanket. The clouds are blue-black, snowy. And in the light of street lamps you can see how slowly and smoothly snowflakes fall. By morning, they will cover the ground with a soft, fluffy layer. And the dark color will replace the white. And the sky will be bright blue and already high.

The city does not sleep. In the yellow light of lanterns, the road, houses, people are visible. And everyone is in a hurry. The road seems to be nervous, passing cars and pedestrians. She seems to be sorry that she cannot enjoy peace and snowfall. Cars are rushing by, flashing their headlights at each other. They want to get home faster and relax. Just like people. Tired after work, they will laugh and rejoice only at home, with a cup of hot tea in their hands and their loved ones nearby.

Winter night – time long before midnight. Houses do not sleep, windows glow differently. Yellow, pink, blue, lilac – all the colors of the rainbow. They amuse the night, make it laugh and make it not so gloomy. And she remains scary only in fairy tales. And the night city sparkles and sparkles with lights.

A cinema sign shimmers with colors, the last screening is an action movie or a science fiction film. And from the cafe opposite you can hear the music. Somewhere in the yard, a salute flashed and took off with bright lights. Someone is on holiday. Shouts greet each flash and color the night with shooting stars. I even want to make a wish.

Even red lights are visible in the distance, like signal lights. This is a factory, even at night it does not stop working. Lives like a huge creature that never sleeps and never rests. Night and day are equal for him. And people after the night shift will sleep during the day. For them day becomes night.

Snow is falling. Snowflakes swirl in the light of lanterns, as if dancing. Music is heard only by them, it becomes the quiet noise of the night city. At home, they watch this dance, for light and smooth movements. Under the falling snow, I dream well. Big and small, weak and strong, real and invented – dreams are like these snowflakes.

And the moon is watching everything from above, indulgently and sadly. She knows that winter is for a long time.

Option 3

From my window a good view, in principle… But not in the morning in winter. I mean, in the morning in winter it’s just dark outside the window! Nobody and nothing is visible. And there are frost patterns on the window – this is very beautiful. They look either like a fairytale forest, or like unusual flowers … But this is a view through the window, it turns out.

And outside the window everything is white when it’s already blooming. We have a residential building nearby – a little sideways, but you can look into the windows. There are beautiful curtains. In the morning of winter you can see cats there, as always. But in winter, definitely more often, since they are not allowed to walk outside especially. Even if it’s for the New Year, then you can admire the decorations on the windows. Sometimes they put small Christmas trees on the windowsill and decorate them. There are garlands on the windows. They also stick snowflakes and all sorts of decorations on the windows.

On the other hand, we have a kindergarten. In the morning you can see how small children are led there. The later, the more parents hurry. And the kids look like astronauts! They have so many warm clothes on, they move so slowly, they look around with such surprise … just like astronauts!

Before them, by the way, our janitor wakes up – he clears the path to the garden, the parking lot. Sometimes children go out for their first walk (probably after breakfast and the first lesson). Then it’s funny to watch them run around there. In winter they play snowballs. Some even sculpt from snow, like from sand … Sometimes a skier passes along the path past a kindergarten and a residential building (sometimes he passes). The ski run just starts there, so those who have a day off go skiing … Well, the dogs, of course, are walked by people. It’s also fun to watch them all. I like the neighbor’s chow-chow the most. She usually snorts at the snow.

But I don’t usually see all this beauty. On weekdays I go to school myself, and on weekends I sleep … Only that year, on sick leave, I sat at home and looked out the window. But here is what is happening. And so everything is covered with snow – there is snow on the pine too. Paths are being cleared. On the right, the neighboring house is lit by the windows, on the left, people are coming to the kindergarten. Well, more dog lovers, skiers. There is no one in particular on the playground in winter.

I think it’s quite busy outside my window even in winter, even in the morning. I liked watching people, especially after the New Year, because everyone is so cheerful, joyful.

“Winter from the window of the house” — school essays

Option 1

What kind of view opens up when you look out the window. Winter has come.. . Winter powdered the earth with a snow coat. The earth is resting, gaining strength. Everything gray and gloomy is now covered with a dense winter veil: so snow-white, bright and shiny. The morning sun plays with its rays. Snowdrifts shining in the sun are blinding. From this, a smile involuntarily appears and the soul becomes warm. Everything around rejoices.

Changeable weather during winter days. The sun played enough of its rays and disappeared behind a cloud, as if tired. All at once it became dull. Everything is resting. The room became dark and dreary. Where are you, sunshine?

A blizzard broke out in the evening. You look out the window, and there – a whole performance is being played out. A strong wind lifts snow from the ground and circles with it in a waltz. Snowflakes fall from the sky, join the dance and parry to the ground. At the same time, a rumble and a howl are heard from time to time. Such is the music of the blizzard.

Option 2

I live on the outskirts of the city in a big red nine-story house on Rahu street. From my window there is a view of the Tallinn Highway. In the distance, the pipes of the power plant can be seen, sparkling at night in the moonlight. To the left along the road is a row of garages. It reminds me of a small town, with small houses, and the inhabitants of this settlement are cars that go to work every morning and return home to sleep in the evening.

Early in the morning I like to watch people who were not too lazy to get up even before me and now walk their pets, despite the day of the week and weather conditions.

Every evening from my window you can see athletes with ski poles walking in single file along the pavement in an unknown direction…

And in the evening you can watch a fabulous sunset. He fascinates me with his colors. There was no such day that the picture was repeated.

When the sun goes down, the stars come into the sky. They are like light bulbs of a garland that entangled the dark sky.

If you have some free time, maybe you should just look out the window? I’m sure you will see a lot of interesting things!

Option 3

When we were asked to write an essay on the topic “View from the window”, I was a little confused. And at first I did not know what to write about. It’s a window, after all. And what could be interesting there? But it turns out there’s a lot to see. I decided to take the day off to watch what was happening through my window. Saturday morning came.

I woke up early and carefully looked out the window that was in my room. The first thing I saw was houses, a kindergarten, a bus stop, a playground nearby. It became interesting for me to observe what I would see today from my window. Many people from neighboring houses hung out their clothes, some washed the windows, and some just stood on the balcony and breathed in the fresh autumn air.

On the second floor, a fluffy cat was basking in the sun. Since today was Saturday, I did not see children in kindergarten. Children frolicked on the playground. The children rode down the hill, swinging on the swings. The boys from our yard played football. And very small children sat in the sandboxes and sculpted sand cakes. Two women with strollers were walking on the playground. Grandmothers sat on a bench and talked about something. An elderly man was walking with his dog. There were a lot of people at the stop. Everyone was waiting for their bus. Many cars passed along the road.

It turns out you can see a lot of interesting things from my window. I also saw from my window – these are trees. What trees are beautiful in autumn. The leaves of the trees have changed color. They became yellow, red, purple. Lots of leaves lay on the ground. In the distance I saw a flock of birds flying to warmer climes. The weather that day was changeable. The bright sun shone in the morning. But in the late afternoon the sky was overcast and it began to rain. And it became somehow gray, dull. There were not so many people on the street as in the morning. And those who were on the street walked at a brisk pace with umbrellas. Everyone was in a hurry.

I enjoyed watching what was happening outside my window. Now I’m looking forward to winter coming. After all, in winter there will be a completely different view from my window. All the trees will be covered with fluffy snow, and the whole earth will be covered with a carpet of snow.

“View from the window” – composition, grade 7

Early in the morning, when it is still dark, I like to run up to the window and admire the view from it. A small street path, illuminated by street lamps, is barely visible fluffy, fresh snow lying on bare tree branches and the ground. Opposite me there are other houses, people wake up in them too and meet a new day. I like to watch people who were not too lazy to get up even before me and now walk their pets, despite the day of the week and the cold, red-nosed weather.

During the day, you can see a lot of new and interesting things from the window: trees in a snow coat, in the frosty air, snowflakes fall in thought.

From afar you can see my ice slide, when the weather is not so cold I like to go out and invite my friends to ride with them, make bright firecrackers and play snowballs. The street is quiet, with only occasional traffic noises. There is a whole small world in front of me.

When the sun goes down, the stars come into the sky. They are like light bulbs of a garland that entangled the dark sky. It is already evening, all people are resting at home, no one goes outside, only dogs run along the snowy paths.

It is so quiet on the street at night, snow-white, not a single rustle. Only the lanterns are burning, shining the path. I see the stars and the moon, I like to count them before going to bed. I love it when there is a full moon in the dark night sky

If you have some free time, maybe you should just look out the window? I am sure that you will see a lot of new and interesting things! It’s great when you have such a landscape in front of you.

Option 2

After doing all my homework, I have free time. Then, in anticipation of my mother’s delicious dinner, I sit down in my favorite armchair more comfortably. I don’t go to watch TV or play the computer, it’s time to dream, looking out the window. I have a beautiful view from it on a snowy February evening. The approaching twilight does not interfere with admiring the beauty of winter.

A birch grows near our window. At this time of the year, as it should be, there are no foliage at all on it, only some yellow leaves are visible, which resisted the gusts of wind. All parts of the tree are neatly covered from the effects of the elements with snow that sparkles with different colors of the rainbow under the rays of the sun setting over the horizon.

A shaggy dog is sitting near the house. This is still a very small puppy with big surprised eyes. The wind picks up the snow, and the snowflakes circle around the lonely puppy for a while, as if playing with him. He tries to somehow fight the elements, but it turns out badly. Snow covers his fur. He’s funny enough.

Children play in the yard and enjoy winter fun. They sled down the built hill, the boys throw snowballs and wallow in the snow, while others stubbornly sculpt a snowman.

It started to snow, it became even more beautiful. It fell like large snowflakes slowly from a height, erasing the trodden paths. It covers everything around, how beautiful! Even the children, carried away by their activities, were distracted from them and joyfully began to observe the most beautiful manifestation of winter. They began to catch and look at snowflakes, showing off among themselves who did it better. After all, each snowflake is unique and not like the others.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sounds of creaking snow. It means someone is coming. This sound is associated with my childhood. A picture pops up in my memory when my father and I chose a Christmas tree and bought tangerines in the New Year’s fuss. From behind a veil of snow, a red-cheeked girl appeared, who was clearly frozen. She walked over to the puppy to take him in her arms. They hurried home together. At first it seemed to me that the puppy was street. But I hope that he has found his home and he will not have to freeze on the street in search of food.

What a magical sight it is – a winter snowy evening! After eating, I always come back and continue admiring nature and watching people from our window. The charm of the cold season will not leave anyone indifferent.

Under my window

Covered with snow

Like silver…

It seems to me that Sergei Yesenin wrote these lines while sitting near the window in my room. Here I am sitting and looking at the birch tree under my window and repeating Yesenin’s words. Clear blue sky, pure white snow, and against this background, a frost-covered birch sparkles like silver. This is the best artist in the world, frost, painted it.

Other trees are visible further, but they are simply covered with snow and seem to be admiring the silvery birch as well. I raise my head to the sky and see the silver trail of an airplane flying off into the distance. I also want to rise to the heights and from there look at the winter beauty of my native land.

Option 2

Plan

  1. My yard
  2. Summer sunset

My windows overlook the courtyard, a cozy corner of my childhood. Swings and a sandbox, a flower bed and of course benches. Mountain ash grows, our parents planted them. It turned out such a rowan grove.

I like to watch the sunset from the window of my high-rise building in the summer. Evening. The heat goes away, the air becomes pleasantly cool. The sun seems to increase, covering half the sky. Then it slowly disappears, painting the entire horizon in bright orange along the way. What a beauty!

Neighboring houses stretch their shadows to my window, as if inviting me to go out into the yard. But I can’t take my eyes off the burning semicircle of the sun, which once again proves to me that the Earth is round. An ordinary window opens a window to the big world for me.

Option 3

  1. View from the window in summer
  2. View from the window in winter
  3. View from the window in spring
  4. View from the window in autumn
  5. 9 seasons. Immediately behind the fence, a meadow begins, which stretches to the very bank of a winding river. A variety of flowers decorate the green carpet with bright colors. And on the other side stands a white church with golden domes. I wake up and immediately go to the window.

In winter, on the white tablecloth of snow, the trees on the shore draw their bizarre pictures, the church becomes, oddly enough, more visible. After all, it is white, it should not be noticeable on a white background, but no, some mysterious glow comes from it. Domes, on the contrary, shyly hide their gold.

Spring is coming. Radiant, mischievous, playful … And with her, both the meadow and the river begin to have fun, murmur in all voices. The kids go down the hill, skating on the river ice. And the church seems to be invisible, it seems that the domes themselves float across the sky. In the summer, I myself become part of this picture.

But autumn makes me especially happy: not only domes, but the whole world becomes golden. Such beauty that you want to create something unusual, wonderful, marvelous.

School is a whole world full of joy, emotions and feelings. It unites people with the desire to learn and learn something new. There is nothing more amazing than to master something completely unprecedented. The best examples of essays on the topic “”.

    76. Autumn tasks
    spiders –
    Telephonists.
And now, from the Christmas tree
    To the aspen,

    Spider webs sparkle like wires.
    Bells are ringing:
    – Attention! Attention!
    Listen to the autumn
    Quests!
    – Hello, bear!
    – I’m listening! Yes Yes!

Cold is just around the corner!
    Before winter comes
    On the doorstep,
    You urgently need
    Find a lair!
    Bells are ringing
    At the squirrels and hedgehogs,
    From the upper
    To the lower floors:
    – Check quickly
    Your pantries –
    Are there enough supplies
    For wintering.
    The bells are ringing
    At the old swamp:
    – Everything is ready for the herons
    For departure?
    – Everything is ready for departure!
    – Good luck!
    Don’t forget again
    Drop by!
Bells are ringing at the linden tree
    And at the maple tree:
    – Hello! Say,
    Who’s on the phone?
    – Hello! The phone is
    Ants!
    – Close your anthills
    !
    – Tell me, is this a river?
    – River, river!
    – Why is there no place for crayfish
    ?
    And the river answers:
    – These are lies!
    I’ll show you,
    Where the crayfish hibernate!
    – Hello guys!
    Good afternoon guys!
    It’s already
    outside! It’s a bit cold!
    It’s time for the birds
    Hang out the feeders –
On the windows, on the balconies,
    On the edge!
    After all, birds –
    Your faithful friends,
And we must not forget about friends
    !

    77. In October

The gray day is shorter than the night,
The water in the river is cold,
    Frequent rain wets the earth,
The wind is whistling in the wires.
    Leaves are falling in puddles,
Bread has been put away in the bins,
    Before the winter cold comes
    Houses are being warmed.

    78. The forest still smells of mushrooms

The forest still smells of mushrooms
And the leaf hasn’t come off
    At the aspen.
And from the flushed mountain ash
    Still the heat of summer
    Hasn’t disappeared.
    Not told everything yet
    Stream,
    Living under the roots.
    But the rain
Already in a hurry for us,
    Like forests
    I didn’t see it!

    – Don’t forget, don’t forget
Come back to us in the spring!

    And mother trees are standing,
    And rustling anxiously,
And looking at the very best
    Yellow
    little ones
    leafing…

    80. Autumn.
Like a thin blade of grass
    Aspen trembles in the wind.
    I tell her:
    – Calm down,
Don’t be afraid of the White Winter.

And the wind plays with a rowan branch
And the clusters flicker in the autumn foliage.
There has long been a sign among the people,
That a lot of mountain ash – for a cold winter.

Golden eyes of the last daisies
Reminds me again of the departed warmth
And drops of dew, like living tears,
From their white eyelashes flow at dawn.

And the wind still drives the fallen leaves
And the cranes fly like a sad wedge.
I’m a train that rushed off from summer to autumn,
Will wave a yellow ticket in the distance.

    82. Autumn is coming

    Following the summer
    Autumn is coming.
    Yellow songs
    The wind sings to her,
    Red under her feet
    Leaves spread,
    Like a white snowflake
    Flies into the blue.

The sides of the river are freezing,
And there is nowhere to go from the hoarfrost.
The river is covered with a fox coat,
    But it’s trembling
And it can’t get warm. 84. November And more and more often it hides in the darkness
The sun, which has cooled to the ground…

    85. Night leaf

    Today I was sitting
    Before dark
    Near an open window
    .
    Suddenly on the windowsill
    Lie down
    Golden
    Small leaf.
    It’s damp outside the window
    And it’s dark.
    So he flew
    Into my window.
    He’s trembling.
And you can see that’s why
    His tail is moving
    He has.

    86. Swans flew away

    Swans flew away
    From north to south.
    Lost swans
    White-white fluff.
    Either swan fluff
    Glitters in the air,
    Or through our windows
    The first snow
    Flies.

    87. Autumn tears

    Cried at night
    Yellow maples.
    Remembered the maples,
    How green they were.
    From the yellow birch
    It also dripped.
So the birch is also crying

    88. Summer is ending

    Summer is ending
    Summer is ending,
    And the sun doesn’t shine,
    And it’s hiding somewhere.
    And the first-grader rain,
    A little timid,
    In oblique line
    Lines the window.

    89. Naughty rain

    Rain, rain, listen:
Do not walk barefoot through the puddles.
    Autumn wanders along the roads,
    Wears cold in a knapsack,
You turn white – you become snow –
You will not melt until April.

In the morning the sky was gloomy
    And everything seemed downcast.
Autumn is very fond of crying,
Rain on the ground to drip.
    Likes to rustle leaves,
    And pick them from trees.

    91. Trees in autumn

    The birch trees unraveled,
    The maples clapped their hands,
    The cold winds came,
    And the poplars stomped.
    Wilted willows by the pond,
    Aspens trembled,
    Oaks, always huge,
As if they had become smaller.
    Everything subdued, shrank,
    drooped, turned yellow.
    Only the fir-tree is comely
    Prettier by the winter.

    92. Autumn

Autumn at the edge of the paint spread,
    Quietly brushed through the foliage:
The hazel turned yellow and the maples blushed,
    In autumn only in purple.
    Comforts autumn:
    — Don’t feel sorry for summer!
Look – the grove is dressed in gold!

    93. Late autumn

    Slowly near the shore
    Fragile ice lays down.
    Sad gray cloud
Floats along the bottom of the pond.
    Severe breathes in autumn
    Clear water.
    Trees shed their leaves,
    Meeting the cold.

    94. Rustled underfoot

    Rustled underfoot
    Leaves with yellow sides.
It became damp, it became naked,
We must get ready for school.
    I barely have notebooks
    Placed in my portfolio
    Among rowan berries,
    Maple and aspen leaves,
    Acorns and russula…
    And, probably, Olezhek,
    My deskmate will ask:
“What is all this?” “This is autumn”…

    95. Plums are falling off in the garden…

Plums are falling off in the garden,
    Noble treat for wasps…
A yellow leaf was bathing in a pond
    And welcomes early autumn.

He imagined himself as a ship,
He was rocked by the wind of wanderings.
So we will sail after him
    To berths unknown in life.

And we already know by heart:
In a year there will be a new summer.
    Why is the universal sadness
In every line in poetry by poets?

Is it because the traces on the dew
Will the downpours wash away and the winters get cold?
    Is it because all moments
    are fleeting and unique?

    96. Autumn has come

    Autumn has come,
    It has begun to rain.
    How depressing
    The gardens look.

    Birds rushed
    To warmer climes.
    A farewell is heard
    The cry of a crane.

    The sun does not indulge
    Us with its warmth.
    North, frosty
    It is blowing cold.

    It’s very sad,
    It’s sad at heart
    From the fact that summer
    Can’t be returned already.

    97. Autumn in the dance is crying softly

    Autumn has loosened her braids
    With a blazing fire.
More often frost, less often – dew,
    Rain – cold silver.

    Autumn bared her shoulders,
All the trees in the neckline –
Soon the ball, farewell evening …
    The foliage is already waltzing.

    Chrysanthemums with marvelous fur
    Color the outfit for autumn.
The wind is not a hindrance to the ball –
Music is a hundred times louder!

    Autumn loosened her braids,
    The wind ruffles silk hair.
More often frost, less often dew,
The smell of late roses is sweeter.

Autumn cries softly in the dance,
    Lips tremble in a whisper.
In the puddles the sad look hides.
    The birds are circling plaintively.

Holding out a leaf like a hand,
    Waving a sad “Farewell”…
    Autumn, feeling separation,
    Tearfully whispering: “Remember…”

    Wasps are yellower by autumn,
    Striped and meaner –
Apparently, grandmother’s compote does not give them rest

    And jam, and marmalade
    We have it, but they
    It’s a shame.

Poems about Pushkin’s autumn for children

    100. Sad time! Oh charm!

    Sad time! Oh charm!
Your parting beauty is pleasing to me –
I love the magnificent withering of nature,
Forests clad in crimson and gold,
In their vestibule the wind noise and fresh breath,
And the skies are covered with mist, wavy,
And a rare ray of sun, and the first frosts,
    And distant hoary winter threats.

    Celiac disease. Case history

My son was diagnosed with celiac disease at the age of 1.5 years. 9 years have passed since then, so much is remembered with difficulty, but something is not remembered at all. It seems to me that we have been moving towards this diagnosis since birth. The birth was unsuccessful, after the maternity hospital we were discharged to the neurological department of the hospital, and only then did we end up at home. First of all, we were concerned about neurology. We followed the recommendations of the neurologist (given medications, massaged).
The problem with nutrition arose after three months, when I had to go to the hospital. Grandmother had to pick up the mixture. The first mixture caused an allergy instantly, the second one caused a rash a week later, but by this time I had already returned home.
After my return from the hospital, I continued to breastfeed the baby, but the baby began to develop a rash. Then I don’t remember what happened in what sequence – either I was allergic to my milk, or it became scarce, the attempt to introduce the third mixture was again unsuccessful (rash and abdominal pain), and at the age of 4.5 months I I tried to give my child oatmeal jelly (a decoction of oatmeal), which caused very severe abdominal pain in my son. Of course, after that we didn’t give oatmeal jelly anymore.
When my son was five months old, he was examined by a very good pediatrician, a neuropathologist, and said that we no longer had problems with neurology (we had previously followed all the recommendations of this doctor, including massage by a very good masseuse). But the doctor noticed that the child was very thin, and therefore he offered to go to the hospital in his department, where he could call a very good geneticist for a consultation. The local pediatrician refused to give a referral to the hospital due to the fact that she saw no reason for this. By 6 months, the problem with food became very acute, with my milk and formula, the child was covered with a rash on his cheeks, on his knees, on his pope. Bypassing the district pediatrician, I went to see the head of the department. Head Branches, viewing honey. map, found that we were discharged from the hospital with severe intestinal dysbacteriosis and gave a referral to a gastroenterologist, and also wrote out a prescription for a soy mixture, which was issued at the MHC. The mixture was called Bellaktsoy, and it saved us. This mixture did not cause any allergies or pain in the stomach, and the child drank it, and we added this mixture to cereals and mashed potatoes for up to a year and a half (until we ran out of its stock; it was not sold in pharmacies, but was issued only in the MHC on prescription). Starting from six months, my son and I endlessly went to the gastroenterologist (abdominal pain, diarrhea – they treated intestinal dysbacteriosis), to the allergist (rash on the body), passed allergological tests (gen. IG E 507 CU / L N up to 15, allergy to milk and beef, no allergy to oats, wheat and rye flour – low level), in the MHC to the geneticist (they were tested for lactase deficiency, it was not detected), department of ped.2 MAPO (which was in our clinic). Periodically, we tried to introduce new complementary foods. Using the selection method, we found out that buckwheat porridge, rice porridge, mashed potatoes, rabbit meat, quail eggs, green apples are well suited, without causing abdominal pain and rashes. And white bread crackers, barley porridge, of course, oatmeal (which we tried at the very beginning), milk and all dairy products, beef cause stomach pains and rashes. I told about this to allergists, a gastroenterologist and at the MAPO department. We were diagnosed with: food allergy, intestinal dysbacteriosis, malabsorption syndrome and were given appropriate recommendations. The last thing we tried was NORDIC barley flakes, which did not cause a rash, but caused severe stomach pains. And it was on July 1999, when my son was already 1 year old. Against this background, the child was vaccinated against polio. I don’t remember how long we got out of the acute state. The first one of the doctors (summer, doctors on vacation) managed to get was an allergist. He advised us not to try anything new, to give all food in a very thick form and some of the antihistamines. Either his recommendations helped, or time passed, but the condition improved. We once again passed an analysis for intestinal dysbacteriosis, and the gastroenterologist, comparing this analysis with the previous one, found that against the background of a general deterioration in health, the last analysis for intestinal dysbacteriosis is better than the previous one. And then we were given a referral to the MHC to a geneticist in order to take blood tests for celiac disease. The geneticist, after looking at my son, said that the child did not have any celiac disease, but gave a referral for free blood tests. Our turn came in December. And in January 2000, analyzes of Ig A = 130E / M N up to 45, Ig J = 161 E / M N up to 40 were ready. recommendations.
My husband and I left the office in confusion, because it was clear that you can’t eat, but it’s not clear how to live with it. I don’t remember who, maybe the geneticist himself, or maybe one of the employees of the MHC suggested that around the corner, at 32 Lesnoy pr., there is a store where they will tell us where to go. We went to this store, and in the diet food department, the seller gave us the phones of the Emilia society. The first person I managed to get through to was Elena Sergeeva (the main informant), who, leaving her business, talked to me, told her story, and somehow I felt better. A few days later, the school “Diet” took place. Irena Emilyevna gave Revnova Maria Olegovna a working phone number. Maria Olegovna received us, examined her son and said that it was definitely celiac disease, but according to international standards, a biopsy should be done. A biopsy was done on my son in the first month of following the diet, and it unequivocally confirmed the presence of celiac disease. In February 2000, the annual meeting of the members of the Emilia Society was held in the auditorium of the Pediatric Institute, and I saw how many people came, and, probably, for the first time I realized that there are many patients with celiac disease, that our family is not alone. We were attached to the informant Vera Petrovna. Vera Petrovna always called with new information, and always very willingly and kindly answered all the questions that I had, told me what kind of gluten-free pastries she cooks and how she cooks. I still have handwritten recipes from Vera Petrovna. And I am very grateful to everyone who helped us then.
The first month was the most difficult, we hoped that maybe we don’t have celiac disease. But after visiting Maria Olegovna and receiving the results of the biopsy, there was no hope left. Our grandparents had the hardest time. It was difficult for them to accept as a fact that they could not eat bread. They survived a hungry war and post-war childhood. My dad recalled that he ate for the first time in 1946, when bread cards were canceled (he was 10 years old at that time), and it was incredible happiness. And here is such a strange disease. This is generally difficult to understand for any person, because bread is eaten in every family. They were very worried and did not sleep at night. And even now I sometimes hear from my grandmother “maybe it’s not forever.” But since I lived with my parents and we have a common diet, we mastered cooking new food with my mother, gradually mastering all the rules of gluten-free cuisine. My husband’s mother eventually also mastered all the rules, and when we visit her, we know that all food is prepared from permitted products, and knives and boards are not confused with bread.
I must say that in the first months the son’s diet did not change. We just stopped trying things that contain gluten. By the age of 3, it was possible to replace rabbit meat with beef. By the age of 4, they replaced quail eggs with chicken eggs in baking, and began to add cottage cheese to baking. By the age of 5, milk was added to porridge. And, it seems to me that by the age of 6, the son began to eat everything that is allowed by a gluten-free diet.
At 4 years old, the son went to kindergarten. In the kindergarten, we met with complete understanding from the teachers, the nanny, the nurse and the head of the kindergarten. And for all 3 years we felt a special attitude of the staff towards the child. We had wonderful teachers Kuznetsova Svetlana Viktorovna and Makarova Nadezhda Vasilievna, who loved children, and this could be said about any employee of the children. garden. There were no random people there, and this was the great merit of the head Lidia Osipovna Mentslova. I know that after us, children with celiac disease, not to mention allergies, came to other groups to other educators.
If in kindergarten we met with complete understanding, then at school everything happened the other way around, contact with the teacher did not work out. Our teacher does not want to hear about any features of her son. The school doctor, by the way, believes that celiac disease is something like an allergy that will pass over time, and the diagnosis of celiac disease in the medical record is written in pencil in the “allergy” column. At school, my son is the only one who receives compensation for meals, because other parents, I think, do not have the strength and time to achieve it, but this is a different story. We have a very disciplined child, he will never eat something that is not allowed, and if something is unfamiliar, he will bring it home, show me what he was treated to. I understand how psychologically difficult it is for him when everyone is eating, but he cannot.
Despite the fact that we strictly follow a gluten-free diet, my son is still very thin, he often has stomach pains. From time to time we treat chronic gastritis, gastroduodenitis, we fight lamblia (and sometimes worms). At school, he studies very well, is engaged in sports sections, in other circles. But he is not hardy, gets tired quickly, and is irritable.
When my son was about 8 months old, I started having pains in my stomach. I was examined and treated for Giardia, intestinal dysbacteriosis. However, the pain did not go away. By the time my son was diagnosed with celiac disease, the pains were very strong, and most importantly, it was not clear what food they came from. I made the decision to try a gluten-free diet. After 10 days, the pain disappeared completely. I passed blood tests for agliadin antibodies in MHC and did a biopsy. AHA were normal, the conclusion of the biopsy is indirect evidence for celiac disease. The gastroenterologist at the regional CDC said that based on these data, he could not make such a diagnosis. If this is celiac disease, then its initial stage. But, despite the fact that I was not officially diagnosed with celiac disease, I decided to continue the diet and I still follow it. If at the beginning of the diet I could only eat a limited range of foods (rice, buckwheat, potatoes, stewed vegetables), now I eat everything, including raw vegetables, fruits, dairy products, ice cream.
