Eugene Child Care | New Dream

The New Dream Family Center is always interested in talking to qualified job seekers.

We often have entry-level positions available for folks who want to learn about working in the childcare industry. In addition, there are teacher-qualified positions that come available occasionally, and it is worth checking in with us by filling out an application and submitting it to us. We are located right on the corner of 18th Ave & Polk St at 1295 W 18th Ave., (it’s a one way driveway, entering from Polk Street).

Who We Serve

The children in our center are from 6 weeks – 12 years in age. Our students and staff are diverse, and we welcome applications from individuals who are from populations historically underrepresented and who have experience working with children from diverse backgrounds. What We Are Looking For

We expect Teachers to be warm and nurturing with the ability to appropriately nurture, engage, entertain, teach and calm the children in a healthy and safe learning environment. Candidates will need to be able to change positions frequently from a sitting position at floor level to standing. Teachers are expected to be able to lift a range of 5-40+ lbs. during feeding, diaper changing, or assisting a child who is injured or providing one on one care.


We are a non-profit child care facility that helps children grow in our developmentally appropriate learning space.


Hours of shifts range from M-F between the hours of 7am-6pm during our business hours of operation.


The Successful Applicant Must

– Possess the ability to change positions frequently from a sitting on the floor to standing position throughout the day,

– Be able to maintain good clean record keeping of daily parent notifications as well as USDA meal counts

– Have the ability to work productively with other staff as well as bring love and joy into the lives of the children in our care and provide an age-appropriate environment and activities.

Our curriculum plans lead children to be active participants in their own learning process. Classroom projects and activities tend to be open ended and flexible. The classroom environment itself and the daily living processes (such as lunch, going outside, cleaning up) are fully embedded with opportunities to learn, to play and to grow.

Our teachers are spontaneous fun-makers who understand the capacities, budding creativity and challenges of their age group. They are skilled facilitators who bring the children to a learning possibility and then help them explore it in their own way.

Our teachers help children flourish as members of a social group where kindness and cooperation can be learned and practiced.

Our hope for our children is that they will develop in these ways:

In the project “Let’s be friends!” fulfilled the dreams of children from family centers

Let’s be friends! helps to find mentors for the pupils of family centers, as well as children who were left without parents or found themselves in difficult life situations. Anyone can respond to the project and fulfill the wishes of the children.

Every child is a unique individual and everyone has their own dreams. Someone wants to learn languages, learn more about the profession in order to decide on a specialty in the future, or even skydive.

Dasha from the Sirius Family Center had such a dream. The girl showed a real spirit of courage and determination. This experience will leave unforgettable impressions for a lifetime and help you become even more confident and independent. Dasha learned to work in a team, to understand the importance of safety when jumping and, of course, to control a parachute.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity and the Let’s Be Friends! project. I experienced amazing, truly magical emotions. Before the jump, they even let me fly the plane! I want to wish other project participants that their dreams come true, because now I know for sure that the impossible is possible!” – Dasha shared her emotions.

Rehabilitation center “Altufievo” Zhenya has always been interested in cars, their repair and maintenance. After a tour of the Rolf car dealership, where Zhenya was told and shown how the sales department, locksmith and body shops work, introduced to the employees, the girl was taken to the paint shop, where, together with experienced craftsmen, she took part in the restoration of the car.

“I know that the world is not without good people, but I didn’t expect anything like that. Today’s events have made me believe in a miracle,” says Zhenya.

Zhenya will turn 18 in a month, and she will leave the walls of the Altufievo center with a clear understanding of what profession she will choose.

Thanks to the Let’s Be Friends! the dream of a pupil of the Zelenograd family center also came true. Katya always dreamed of visiting Skazka Park.

“We have a friendly large family, but we didn’t manage to visit the park. Thanks to the Department of Good Deeds and volunteer Ekaterina Smolskaya, she was able to make her dream come true: ride the rides, eat ice cream, take a walk in the park, and have fun with her family! This day will be remembered for a long time”, – Katya shares her impressions.

Social project “Let’s be friends!” was created by the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the City of Moscow to fulfill the dreams of orphans, children with disabilities and from families in difficult life situations. Children in the questionnaires talk about hobbies, innermost desires and professions that interested them.

In two and a half years, the project helped to fulfill about 150 children’s wishes, and 21 pupils were helped to find their mentor. In 2023 alone, more than 40 wishes were fulfilled, more than 300 children became participants in motivational meetings within the framework of the project. Caring Muscovites held musical master classes for children, organized trips to amusement parks and excursions. The guys rode horses, mastered wakeboarding, played football and played the guitar. They got acquainted with the profession of a barista and tried their hand at animation, went on an excursion to the metro depot and to police dog handlers.
