The death toll from the Raytheon Hawker 800 small plane crash in the U.S. state of Minnesota rose to eight on Thursday. The crash killed seven crew members and passengers. One person survived but later died in the hospital. Steele County Sheriff Gary Ringhofer informed about this, writes Newsru.com. According to him, a plane flying from Atlantic City (New Jersey) crashed into the ground in a corn field and exploded near its destination – Owatonna Airport (100 km south of St. Paul in Minneapolis). On board, according to Lenta.ru, were clients of Owatonna-based Viracon Inc., which manufactures industrial glass for construction at the site of the World Trade Center in New York. According to the documents, ten people were supposed to fly on the plane: eight passengers and two crew members. One did not arrive on the flight. The search for another passenger continues, writes Newsru.com. The cause of the disaster was named a strong storm that hit the southern regions of Minnesota. The wind speed reached 116 km per hour, Vesti reports.
