Who We Are

We are a Christian-based facility that focuses on the growth and success of your child though quality educational programs. Located in East Cobb, Marietta, GA, The Preschool at East Cobb UMC provides full-time, year-round childcare, including early childhood education and a summer camp focused on educational recreation. At the Preschool, our goal is to create an atmosphere where children feel loved, nurtured, and well cared for!

Our Philosophy

The Preschool at East Cobb UMC welcomes families of all faiths, creeds, and ethnic origins to our center. Our goal is to provide a rich, stimulating environment, with a focus on each child’s ability to learn independently and cooperatively. Children learn best in a safe and secure environment, where they can stretch their imagination and expand their horizon, helping to build a better understanding of the world around them. The church and the preschool are “Safe Sanctuary” facilities adhering to safe standards and guidelines identified by the United Methodist Church.

Our Promise to you

We are dedicated to providing the very best for your children through a caring staff and quality curriculum. Ultimately, Pinnacle Curriculum reinforces that learning is fun! From the littlest ones in the infant room to the high energy school agers, Pinnacle Curriculum helps foster a positive learning environment, run by an educated, dedicated, and loving staff, who guides them towards their potential every day.

Our Curriculum

Pinnacle Curriculum is all about creating a warm and friendly environment where children love to learn.  Teachers are provided with daily themed guides that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and fun for your child. At these tender young ages, the environment and learning experiences to which your child is exposed are so important.

Infants and Toddlers

Pinnacle Curriculum promotes activities that stimulate growth and development, and that can be incorporated into the routines of the day. Encouraging and atmosphere of caring, love, and hugs, Pinnacle Curriculum provides teachers with fun activities to do with children all day — even the “radical routines” of eating and changing. The curriculum and lesson plans are designed for personalization, making it easy to craft the curriculum to meet your child’s specific needs.

Preschool

For two, three, and four year olds, Pinnacle Curriculum follows a daily format that matches the ever changing needs of your rapidly growing and developing child. Each age group has a separate curriculum that is specific to their educational and emotional needs, interests, and activity levels.  Pinnacle Curriculum provides for time activities, along with center-based activities. Teachers have an abundance of ideas to enrich the learning centers in their classrooms, providing many choices for your child to learn more about what they are interested in. The activities in Pinnacle Curriculum meet learning objectives that will help your child move towards their potential as they explore and experiment with materials and activities in the classroom. Teachers act as facilitators of play and stay, involved as as they guide learning through play time.

School age // Day camp

Pinnacle Curriculum for school-age children takes into consideration the unique needs of this special group. Whether they want to work on a creative art project, do homework, of just relax in the “chill zone,” Pinnacle Curriculum assists your child’s teacher in creating a fun environment where after schoolers want to be! Pinnacle Curriculum provides opportunities for students to interact with each other as they participate in activities that challenge their creativity and provide a social recreational outlet. Pinnacle for school-agers expands to accommodate the needs for a full day summer camp program during June and July and holiday school breaks.

Our Mission

is to guide young children in building foundational skills for learning and life, and to nurture a love of God through a caring and developmentally appropriate, Catholic preschool program.

We know the earliest years lay the groundwork for so much ahead in the life of a child. We strive to ignite in children an early love of learning through purposeful play as they explore our world, experience new things, and discover the joy of friendship. We believe the young are a gracious gift entrusted to us and that compassion and understanding are paramount – reflecting God’s love for them – as we help them to grow in mind, body and spirit. We know that when learning and laughter come together in an irresistible mix, and an authentically Catholic worldview touches all we do, we are laying a solid foundation on which to build as they grow. We seek to live out this mission each and every day at Holy Family Preschool with God’s help.

At Holy Family Preschool…

We believe that “Growing the Family of God” begins with our children. We provide a warm and caring environment in which children will develop spiritually, emotionally, physically and cognitively.

We believe that our children are unique and special beings that develop in their own time and pace. Our developmentally appropriate program is designed to provide experiences to prepare for kindergarten readiness, encourage life-long learning, and motivate each child to reach his or her individual potential and beyond.

We believe that through the guidance of our teachers and staff, children learn about respecting themselves and others, sharing, listening and experiencing God’s love. We look forward to creating strong relationships among the children, their families and the community.

For more information, please contact our director, Kate Viets, at 678-744-2597.
