Hugs Kollege Inc – Bronx NY School-Age Child Care

Description:

Traditionally, academic success has been measured in the mastery of rote memorization skills, such as being able to recite the alphabet and count to ten.These skills can be acquired, but it does not mean children understand what they are learning. If we want children to be successful learners, now, and in the future, we must teach them to think critically about their world, how to solve problems, and to interact with others in a positive and effective way. These abilities are learned when children are encouraged to actively explore their environment and are challenged to solve problems and contemplate issues that are relevant to their universe. We provide a responsive environment that is warm and consistent, so your child feels secure and encouraged to explore. Every educator at our center recognizes that each child joins us at different stages of development and is motivated by her/her own experiences prior to and outside of school. We use this knowledge to facilitate a more meaningful and personalized learning experience. Our curriculum reflects our commitment to what we believe is the best practice in Early Childhood Education. Our goal is to create an environment that is rich in language and learning opportunities. It is a blend of teacher directed and individual learning experiences where each child is challenged at a level they can meet. This provides for successful learning experiences and stimulates a positive attitude towards education. Each classroom is divided into interest areas designed to create interactions that support emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development on a daily basis. Our educators facilitate, observe, and encourage your child to explore their environment. A typical daily schedule is filled with opportunities that balance quiet/active, large group/small group, indoor/outdoor time and teacher directed/child chosen activities. Our director has a Masters in Education, and a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a focus in Child Psychology. We strive to hire the most qualified, highest educated teachers available to our field. All of our head teachers have a degree in ECE or another training and education program recognized by the State of Vermont as equivalent to a degree program. Our assistant teachers must take a 45 hour course in Child Development within their first year of employment. We work closely with every teacher to make sure they have a complete understanding of our mission and together we continue our training and education regularly so we are on top of the most current developments in our field of expertise.

Child Development Center — FEFU kindergarten

If your child is between three and seven years old and you are looking for an educational institution for him, the Child Development Center – FEFU Kindergarten will help give your child a decent education at the first and subsequent stages of the development of the child’s personality.

There are 4 age groups and a pre-school preparation class in the kindergarten, which implements the Pre-School Education program. We are working under the Comprehensive Program for the Development and Education of Preschoolers “Kindergarten 2100”. The main goal of this program is to implement the principle of continuity and ensure the development and education of preschoolers in accordance with the Concept of the educational system “School 2100”. A distinctive feature is that it really solves the problem of the continuity of preschool and school education. The main goal of the educational system is to create conditions for the development of a functionally literate personality – a person capable of solving any life tasks.

The program includes the following components:

  • speech development and preparation for literacy;
  • rhetoric of communication;
  • acquaintance with the surrounding world;
  • introduction to mathematics;
  • introduction to informatics;
  • introduction to fiction;
  • synthesis of the arts; – visual activity;
  • design, molding, appliqué.

From the age of 4, English is taught, an in-depth English language program has been introduced in the preschool class. Much attention is paid to the medical care of children – general strengthening procedures, herbal medicine, hardening are carried out. A varied balanced menu for proper nutrition is compiled.

The kindergarten is open all year round from 8 am to 7 pm. Group size is 18 people. Classes are held in subgroups.
