The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure Walkthrough

The Sims 4 Guide

2PRO

Players can explore the big jungle in The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure. Learning them without preparation can be dangerous, so the purpose of this guide is to help you prepare and give you some guidance on what to look out for as you study. Getting started is as easy as using your Sim’s phone to “trip”, you need to choose a house in Selvadorada and pay the rent for as many days as you can afford. If you’re focused on exploration, pick something cheap and save money on supplies and antidote if you get poisoned!

Getting Started: Getting Supplies

The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure walkthrough guide

Relax your Sim’s bladder with these bushes scattered throughout the jungle. You can also take a nap inside. I suggest you do it in reverse.

Exploring the jungle in Selvadorada The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure can be challenging because your Sims will be away from the comforts of home. Having a tent to sleep in is a huge help (outdoor seclusion) but you will also need food. It is recommended to take lunch bags or pick fruit. A tent is optional, as your Sim can take a nap in the bushes to replenish energy.

To buy supplies, click on the items on the table to queue up each purchase. Be sure to purchase a machete, firefoam, and antidotes if available.

Your Sim can get into a terrible mood due to poor hygiene, so Fire Foam is the perfect solution. You can buy it at the stands near the bar in the market area. There you will also find essential items that can save a Sim’s life, or at least prevent a bad mood.

The process of buying these supplies is a bit odd – they sit on the table when the Sims shopkeeper and market are open. You click on items individually to buy them. The items present in the store change several times every day.

Clearing a path with a machete. These gates lead from area to area, so clearing them is essential to proceed.

Take a second machete (or more). It’s only $120 simoleons, but it will save you a lot of trouble if your Sim gets carried away and loses one while cutting through the vines. We highly recommend that you pick up some Waterfall in a Bottle to help keep your Sim from suffering from hygiene issues. Your Sim can self-immolate and you don’t want to die in the fire because you failed in the trap. Always get antidotes if you see them. They seem to be a little more rare and can save a Sim’s life.

Your Sim may be attacked by insects. Having repellent on hand allows your Sim to automatically repel them. You never know what you’ll run into, so buy as many supplies as you can.

Sims will be attacked randomly in the jungle. Not only does this stop the annoying negative mood that can end your adventure if it’s uncomfortable enough, but it also gives your Sim a mood boost from being happy they dodged an attack. Our sim was happy +1 for 6 hours for dodging spiders. The bees and bats of the jungle are annoying, they’re not that dangerous, just a nuisance. A fire extinguisher might be more important, just in case they might set you on fire.

Where to start the jungle adventure

The jungle surrounds us in Selvadorada, but we want to mark a certain place as the start of our journey into the unknown. Head to Belomysia, located on the western side of the screen in Selvadorada, to start looking for places overgrown with bushes. You can clear them with a machete if you took our advice, or your Sim might use their hands and get a little tired in the process.

What you find behind each area seems to be random, although it may lead to a different area altogether. You won’t get any loading screens, but sometimes you’ll need to use one of the gateway arches to move between the two areas, as they can’t be walked. Understand also that you can move the camera up to come back if you get stuck. You can see very far and use the camera to figure out how to move around as well as open lots.

What to look for: Treasures and digs

Above: A treasure chest that happens to be in the jungle. Bottom: Excavation site, for use with the archeology skill.

Bramble Gate Covered – They lead you to other areas, sometimes to small areas with interesting items, or to secret areas such as the Omishkan Royal Baths. Accessing them sometimes results in a pop-up window with a choice of adventures. Having certain skills can allow you to get a good score, but you can also use supplies to help animals or avoid dangers. One unit of this particular supply will be consumed in the process.

Treasure chests – Sometimes they hide in plain sight. There are a lot of trees here, so panning the camera may reveal chests that you may not have noticed.

Dig Sites – The best artifacts are found deep in the jungle at Dig Sites. Use the Archeology skill (automatically) to extract valuable artifacts and treasures. Players occasionally dig up bone dust that can be used to save a Sim (only when poisoned). You give it to the local vendor to get the antidote. Find the desired item in the social menu.

Tree of emotions – I think there are at least two of them, maybe more. Berries can help you pass tests in the Temple of the Hidden Omiscan.

Omishkan royal baths – a hidden area that is located outside the gate. Swimming in the waters here will get your Sim energized.

Deeper in the Jungle: Temple

If you take my advice and take supplies and maybe a tent, you might be able to find the temple in one day. Just keep an eye on all the gates and explore them. With enough supplies, you can avoid most of the jungle’s most inconvenient obstacles. Since the location of the temple can be completely random, it makes no sense for us to give you a complete walkthrough of the jungle.

There were glowing fireflies at the temple entrance when Sim was around and there was a big statue on it. This may be accidental, but despite the fact that the temple was quite far away. Don’t worry – locked gates don’t block your access to the temple.

Temple Exploration Guide

Once your Sim has passed through the dense Selvadoradian jungle, you should come across a large temple. There are many treasures inside, from archaeological sites to real treasure chests. Look out for the emotion tree outside, as well as a bush that your Sim can use to ease their bladder or sleep. Also, watch out for bone dust piles on the ground, which can be used to save a Sim from poison.

Sims must go past the gate to explore the temple and find the treasure room. Properly removed traps will allow you to go further.

Tree of emotions. We found two on the way to the temple. They give emotion berries, which can be used with emotion puzzles to unseal the gate blocking the passage.

In the jungle you can find five different temples. Some have an emotional aura associated with them – 5 temples are obviously named accordingly, such as the Temple of Plenty which focused my Sim. Each jungle vacation may result in different temples being found. You can go to the temple multiple times if you can’t clear it in one go – temples reset after you’ve reached the last treasure room and are notified that you’ve found everything there. If you clear the temple completely, you may find another on the same vacation – just wait a day or so before going out into the jungle again and looking for areas overgrown with vines and in need of clearing again.

Dangers within and poisoning

Most traps hit you by accident. Don’t try to walk through the poisonous gas, as it can kill your Sim. In order to get the antidote, the vendor must have bone dust found by activating temple protection – you must also be poisoned for the option to be available. The poison kills the Sim (sometimes) after three days. Look for ways to improve your mood to change your state. Insects can also poison you. Have repellent handy and your Sim will use it automatically!

Studying the temple is largely a matter of enduring its inconvenience. Lightning can hit you randomly, just like in the jungle outside, you can get hit by a poison dart (dangerous) or just get a curse that will stun your Sim. There are various types of traps here, and activating the wrong lever or mishandling one of the guardian’s masks can make you sick. We strongly recommend that players get a few levels of Archeology skill before attempting to explore the Temples, as the ability to analyze will probably improve with experience.

Gates and Traps

The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure walkthrough guide

Temple exploration progress is blocked through gates. Each gate has a field or a poisonous cloud that you can try to get through, but most likely it won’t be easy. You definitely shouldn’t try to walk through poisonous gas. It might kill your Sim. The correct way to get around this puzzle is to activate the right floor slab or support. Different types clear the same way, whether it’s a giant mask to talk to, an emotional plate, or a turntable. You choose the right one and you pass. Pay attention to two things.

Emote Traps and Emote Tree

Sims must be in the correct mood when stepping on this trap. Using analysis and berries from the emotion tree will help.

First, emotional floor tiles are probably the hardest to overcome. However, the developers realized that getting into a certain mood while away from home is difficult. They help with this by providing a berry tree. Outside the temple you will find one of them. You can also find them in the jungle. If you have other means – items with an emotional aura that might come in handy, such as collectibles – you can put them on the ground and activate their aura to help you if you run out of berries. You can also use food or drinks that you can bring, or collectibles that can be placed in the world to change the mood. They will be needed if you are blocked and cannot continue because the emotion tree does not give you what you need.

Analysis with archeology

Use the analysis ability of Archeology (low level) to rule out some of the possible solutions in the trap.

Archeology Skill: Analysis is available from low level – possibly even level 0, and allows your Sim to potentially rule out one or more of the options available when clicking on a trap. Those options in which the thumbs are down are excluded. One thumbs up option is correct. Sometimes when you enter a new area, there is more than one option – multiple floor slabs, for example. You can try up to 7 times before you understand how the trap works, but Analysis can rule out an entire trap entirely and then knock out two options on another, which means you only have to try twice.

Sometimes none of the solutions is correct. Use analysis to rule out some (or all) of them. There must be another puzzle trap nearby!

This is important, because the worst thing about a temple is being uncomfortable. Your Sim must have all needs met or they may not want to explore the temple if they are not comfortable and covered in smallpox. These are the challenges you have to overcome in order to get to the last treasure room.

Treasure!

There are excavations and treasure chests inside the temple. Open and dig them all. The temple probably has excavation sites with better rewards than those randomly found in the jungle. Treasure chests can contain rare artifacts. If you want to complete the two new collections in this pack, then you need to look for collectibles in the temples. The last room of the temple contains a large treasure chest. Unlocking this room and opening the last chest completes the temple walkthrough, so take all the loot before you leave.

Skeletons

At night, you may come across skeletons in the temple. Most of them don’t seem to be hostile and you can talk to them to fill community needs. We didn’t see the movement of the friendship bar when talking to the skeletons. Even after a dozen interactions, he didn’t become a friend. However, there are obviously skeletons to befriend.

Sims can find a rare relic during their jungle adventure that allows them to temporarily turn into a skeleton. The main purpose of the relic is to summon a skeleton to help clean the house, make repairs, etc. This is very handy for cleaning up after a party.

Archeology Skill

A key feature of The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure Game Pack is the new Archeology skill. This allows you to make the most of your adventures and even helps recoup the cost of renting your accommodation in Selvadorada by providing a way to make money. A good archaeologist should have no problem getting back into the jungle. Master this skill and you will get several useful abilities, as well as a number of powerful artifacts.

Press Control + Shift + C, then type checkcheats on and hit enter. You can now set your skill level with stats.set_skill_level major_archaeology x (fill in 1-10).

Getting Started: Finding Artifacts

At any time, you can be attacked by the terrible insects of the Selvadoradian jungle. Take supplies with you and be sure to brush up on the Selvadoradian culture to occasionally dodge the dreadful creatures you encounter.

While Sims may want to use the low-level archeology manual to get a few early levels, most of the time spent on archeology is better spent digging in the jungle, exploring the temple, and actively using the skill to authenticate and discover artifacts. Development won’t take long, but building a collection of artifacts can!

The ideal mood for archeology seems to be focused, though you’ll have a hard time maintaining that mood in the jungle. Even though the archeology table is portable, you may find it easier to master the skills if you can teach your Sim to be very focused in a comfortable environment while they study.

At first, you can only dig, but later you will learn many more useful abilities that will help you complete two new collections in Jungle Adventure: Ancient Omiscan Artifacts and Omiscan Treasures. A portable archeology table can be purchased from a vendor in Selvadorada, in the market (on a plot of land in the lower right corner of the map).

What does Archeology reveal?

Level 1 – Sims start with the ability to dig up dirt piles.

Level 2 – Learn art and artifacts to interact with Historical Ideas. This will allow you to acquire more archeology skills without resorting to dirty surfaces. Learning historical lore can make your Sim focused about 50% of the time.

Level 3 – Artifact authentication interaction becomes unlocked in the archeology table.

Level 4 – The pile excavation point becomes available.

Level 5 – You can now analyze artifacts, as well as treasures and fossils. Elements can be extracted from metals and crystals in the archeology table.

Level 6 Dig Site Creation becomes available, allowing multiple Sims to work on the same Dig Site.

Level 7 – Sims can clear crystals at the archeology table. Refined crystals are used in the production of relics.

Level 8 – Allows your expert archaeologist to write a book on archeology on the computer. This MAY help your other Sims get the Archeology skill faster. It looks like this guide can get a Sim up to level 8, as opposed to having to read three books.

Level 9 – Sir Vincent of the Simsonian Institute will now randomly send artifacts to your Sims that require authentication.

Level 10 – Increases the chances of finding high quality artifacts. The archaeologist can now teach others by giving a lecture on archeology.

Revealing and Authenticating Artifacts

While excavating, your Sim will come across artifact-shaped clods of dirt. They can be collected and revealed at the archeology table. This ability later leads to Artifact Authentication. Extremely low archeology Sims may be able to submit artifacts for authentication, but gaining multiple levels allows them to do so on their own. Most of the artifacts you find are not covered in mud, but simply need to be examined by an archaeologist to determine if they are the real thing.

Artifacts have three levels of rarity: Common, Uncommon, and Rare. They may also be fake or genuine. Finally, genuine artifacts have several degrees of quality, up to excellent. When you have a real rare artifact of excellent quality, this is a completely unique find. Many jungle treks, expeditions and excavations must be organized to find a complete collection of high quality artifacts.

Piling Surveyor

At 4th level, you gain the ability to explore excavations. This cool skill will allow your Sim to search an area and may trigger an excavation nearby. If you try to use it and don’t get an error message, then the skill worked. Multiple attempts in the same area may work. If you’re only getting area errors, move a distance and try again. It’s not entirely necessary, but it’s certainly better than clicking the ground in the same place, over and over again. After successfully finding a dig site, you will find that the ability has a cooldown, although it can vary over time (up to 4 hours). Despite this, the chances of success increase with increasing skill levels. Note that this ability only works when you click on natural ground, although piles can spawn anywhere nearby.

Create a Digging Site

Creating a Digging Site allows your Sim to get 5 times more items. This ability does not require a cooldown and significantly increases the speed of finding artifacts. If your Sim family is on vacation, they can let the group work together to unearth artifacts, allowing you to get more than one treasure you find in a pile of digs. It really works – with two sims we found a total of five instead of one artifact, even though one of them was a fossil – so you should be able to find fossils and artifacts while digging for sure. The individual explorer will also find more artifacts using this ability, although this may take longer. It’s worth noting that you seem to find not only higher quality relics, but more of them from excavations inside the temple.

Refining Crystals

Crystals, once refined, can be used to craft relics. The rarity of a crystal determines its power. At level 7 of the archeology skill, Sims can produce refined crystals at the archeology table. You need your Sim to have a crystal. Crystals are part of the base game. Their attitude towards Jungle Adventure is that they are required to mold relics. The rarity of the crystal you use during refinement is all that matters – Common, Uncommon, or Rare. The rarer the crystal, the stronger the impact of any relic produced with it.

Relics, Blessings and Curses

Relics are powerful artifacts that Sims can collect from the base, top, and crystal. There are 9 possible types with three rarities (depending on the rarity of the crystal you use), so there are 27 possible combinations. As you explore the world, you will sometimes find these – they are much rarer than artifacts and can be found in the treasure chest at the back of the temple. If you’re cursed by a relic you’ve made, you can head to the statue in the Selvadorada Market. There is a statue of a girl with a basket – pay the fee and the curse can be removed. Otherwise, a local resident will be able to help you if you have bone dust.

Five secrets in the jungle

Hello to all players and mysterious creatures from the jungle who can read!

Welcome to the jungle! . . Or rather, a blog about the jungle! With the new The Sims™ 4 Jungle Adventure Playset*, a rainforest full of danger and opportunity will be added to the game for your Sims to explore while on vacation. We know simoleons don’t grow on trees, so here are five tips to help you explore new area:

1) Market

The jungle is an incredibly dangerous place, full of creatures that really want to harm your Sims. Before you travel, check out the sale in the Puerto Lamante area. We recommend that you buy a machete to get through the annoying ancient gates, packages of prepared food, a camping shower and ointments that will help to cope with a variety of sores.

Believe me, they are worth it. Oh yes! Don’t forget to try the local food from the kiosk. (We mentioned five tips, but this one counts as two. So get another one!)

2. Hidden and closed

There are areas in the jungle that are closed by magic, so be on the lookout for hidden passages and closed gates. The available places change every trip, so if you want to see absolutely everything, you will have to come here many times.

3. Landmarks

Jungle Adventure has a new skill, Archeology, but not all dig sites are visible. Be on the lookout for places to explore in the jungle. Your Sims will collect artifacts and earn Simoleons by developing the Archeology skill, but that’s not all. They can find rare, valuable and even dangerous relics. Relics with curses. Relics with supernatural powers. Relics for which you will get your hands dirty, not knowing what you will get.

4. Skeletons

Rumor has it that skeletons in the jungle are not always found where the body has expired. Of course, we understand that this is not what you would like, but if you are eager to find valuable artifacts in the far corners of the temple, you will have to put up with the presence of the living dead.

But are they really the living dead? They’re not zombies. And not vampires. They are definitely dead, but are alive ? In any case, just try to make friends with the skeleton if you meet him on the way. It is almost impossible to predict what friendship with a skeleton will bring.

5.
