Sandwiched at the foot of the mighty Teton Mountain Range in northwest Wyoming, the Jackson Hole Valley offers more than one exhilarating taste of the Wild Wild West. On the southern edge of the valley, the small town of Jackson (pop. 9,577) is an authentic Old West town, where elk and mule deer roam the streets, and the ranch will crack its shoulders with ski bombs and jet-setters from all over the world. The valley is also home to Grand Teton National Park and Bridger Teton National Forest with some of the most impressive alpine scenery in the world, as well as an impressive array of wildlife, from marmots and mountain lions to moose, bison and grizzly bears. This beautiful pine-covered mountain rises above the streets of Jackson on the southern edge of the city, and its summit is at 7,808 feet.
